I started counting my macros and quickly learned that if you don't have food ready it's easy to get off track. Enter Flame Broiler for the win. My bowl with 8 ounces of Veggies and Single protein (5 ounces of flame broiled white meat chicken) is 300 calories, 49 grams of protein and 9 grams of fat. It's filling, delicious and if I put the hot sauce on it, it really levels up. This location is clean and the people are ALWAYS nice. I try to order online because it can take quite a while to prepare. It's store number 00022 and you have to be careful that you select this store when ordering online. Wouldn't it suck to go in to pick up your meal and have to drive over to a different Flame Broiler? My only challenge with this store is that they constantly get my order slightly wrong, so I have to be very careful to spot check it. This week, one of the bowls that was supposed to be half white meat chicken and half organic tofu, came out as half white meat chicken and half steak. Usually, my veggies only plus white chicken bowl comes out as that but plus white rice (not sure why white and not brown but that's how it goes) and then I have to pick out the rice which makes me feel like I'm missing out on extra veggies and is effort I don't want to spend. But other than that, Flame Broiler is a great addition to our dinner rotation and I'll definitely be back. read more

I love Flame Broiler. We order 1-2 times per month (usually from a different location that is closed on Sundays). Food was solid as usual, but ordering pickup online made me tip 18% or it would not complete my order. I don't get it. Guess I should've just ordered there and waited. I like this location the best cause the chicken and beef is always delicious and they have kimchi at this one too. They are always fast at giving you your food. There is enough tables inside and outside to sit and eat. Baby girl and I are eating outside cause it's beautiful out today and since I have a tiny cold wanted to feel the fresh air! Horrible experience this afternoon. I placed my order in-store and waited 20 minutes only to find out the male cashier completely forgot to put my order in. I was standing right there--how do you forget someone who ordered in person? People who came after me got their food before I did. I felt the service here was quite unfriendly. The staff didn't do anything outright wrong, but the way they looked at me felt dismissive, like I was being looked down on. Even though I said "thank you" multiple times, there was no response at all. When handing me the food over carelessly with two fingers, using one hand, without any effort or smile. My experience here today was definitely a bad one. I called to place an order for a chicken bowl around 2:30pm & I picked up my meal around 2:45pm. There was a young woman assisting me, she had my meal ready to go, but when paying for some reason their system wasn't working. She then proceeded to let me know that there had been ongoing issues with their systems & I waited for a few minutes. She swiped my card on a couple occasions & then an older woman there stepped in to "assist". She was looking at me like if I didn't have funds (I definitely have funds). She made me feel uncomfortable & disrespected. They asked me if I had cash which I did not, due to the ongoing pandemic lots of places aren't accepting cash therefore I haven't been carrying cash with me. They then asked if I had a different card which I did not. I logged into my mobile banking to show them proof that I do have funds available & also to show them that there had been money deducted for my Flame Broiler meal of today, but I was told that if the system isn't working that those funds will be returned. I'll definitely be on it about checking that. Anyway I asked them what do we do in this type of situation? I was thinking I'd get my meal & pay back another day other places have let me go with my meal after all this is NOT my fault that their system sucks & I pay them another day, but the old woman just looked at me & said there was nothing they could do. I left without my meal & just the idea that they'll probably throw my meal away pisses me off. Update your system & policies on these situations. I was on my lunch & don't have time to go around looking for other things. Luckily Del Taco was nearby. This place needs to learn how to treat their customers with some dignity & respect. Wow ! This is my regular stop for Flame Broiler they are always solid. But tonight they went above and beyond. I pulled up at 7:58 thinking they were open until 9pm. I will NEVER go to this location again, so crazy they have the audacity to charge you for sauce... every flame broiler I go to do not charge! Then my bowl has mostly rice in it, very few vegetables or meat, I never wrote reviews but this is def one that is deserving due to the lack of quality and the price I just paid. I really hate giving bad reviews because I want to believe the best in every single establishment I visit. But occasionally, an establishment like this deserves the lowest possible rating. Food quality- This is probably the only thing this particular location has going for it. The quality is decent and probably what you would expect from any other average flame broiler location. Nothing to write home about but not so bad that you barf when you eat it. Service- this is where this location falls off the rails completely. The staff is rude. They seem overworked, but sitting there for 10 minutes waiting for my food, watching no more than three people in line at any given time, you would think that the entire restaurant was on fire. Of course it was not and the phones were not ringing off the hook. I watch the woman who appeared to be the manager because she was snapping at the woman who was running the cash register... She literally just ran in circles between the front and the kitchen picking up bags looking at receipts and putting the bags back down over and over and over as if she was accomplishing something. She snapped at the cash register lady four or five times just while I was sitting there. The cash register lady was rude to everybody that got in line and had some sort of smart ass remark to at least half of the customers who asked her for an extra fork or sauce or whatever. For me, unless the food at a restaurant is phenomenal, it's unacceptable to have poor customer service. And just because they have a steady flow of customers because of the brand recognition doesn't mean this place could not be shut down overnight for poor service. I had always been curious to try out their food, but I never really looked into it. I ordered a regular bowl with brown rice, grilled chicken, and vegetables. The price came out to be around $7-$8, which isn't too bad because the portion is quite filling. There is a self-serve sauce and condiments station and plenty of seating inside. Their food slightly reminds me of Yoshinoya's menu items, but better. I'll probably return back again and try something different next time. read more

I've been here twice now and I haven't noticed the this location trying to hold back on the chicken, beef, rice, veggies, or matter of fact, just take the bowl away from you after they call your order. The reviews of this place made me think they just eat your bowl in front of you so you storm out fuming lol. I ordered my standard Flamebroiler half & half or chicken bowls and nothing unusual stood out. If they skimped out on the portions, my eyes would've zoomed in on the white plastic bowl with laser-beam focus as I say "what the H?" This recent visit I ordered a half & half bowl with extra chicken and a TON of green onions. Bill came out to be a little over $11, which isn't bad for the mountain of food. I wasn't kidding when I asked for a TON of green onions. Usually I just say "extra extra green onions", but I decided that I need to speak like an adult now and demand a hyperbolic ton of green and white scallions. Then, all the cashiers will really get what I mean. Simply saying "extra extra green onions" means a pinch of green onions being thrown at the meat. The Flame Broiler is a franchised restaurant that specializes in healthy "Korean style fast food all without MSG, frying and skin." Interestingly, everyone thinks the origin is Japanese. Their claim to fame is grilled chicken or beef, served with or without vegetables, with rice. Either way it looks like your typical fast food restaurant. Last time I got "the works" bowl which comes with chicken, beef, and vegetables for about $6 something. For a couple dollars more you can get a plate which comes with more meat, salad, and an orange. I thought it would be made to order (because it took a few minutes), but the meat looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for a while. They also chopped the beef into pretty small pieces which looked like scraps. Their steamed veggies are a mix of cabbage, broccoli, and carrots, nothing fancy. Next time I think I'll just stick with the chicken, better to err on the safe side. They have a condiments station with hot sauce, soy sauce, and their Magic Sauce, which is their proprietary version of teriyaki sauce.
