I had the pleasure of dining at Flaming Wheel Pizzeria in Conroe, Texas, recently, and it was a fantastic experience from the moment we walked in. My wife actually found this spot online after church one Sunday and suggested we meet there for lunch. Flaming Wheel is located in a newer shopping area off Longmire Road, and although I had noticed it in passing before, this was our first time visiting. The restaurant itself is welcoming and impeccably clean, with a modern and stylish feel. The first thing you notice upon walking in is their impressive pizza oven, right in plain view, allowing you to watch as they make each pizza fresh to order. The setup really adds to the dining experience, creating a sense of warmth and authenticity that's hard to find in a lot of places these days. The decor is tasteful, and there's plenty of seating, which made it easy for us to settle in as a family. They have a variety of drinks to choose from, and while the TVs are mounted a bit high, they're great for catching a quick score or some entertainment while you're there. The service was top-notch, which really set this place apart. The couple behind the counter was genuinely friendly and attentive. The man who took our order went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, bringing our drinks to the table and checking in to see if we needed refills. It's clear that customer service is a priority here, and it made the experience that much more enjoyable. You could tell they take pride in making their guests feel welcome. As for the food, it was delicious and well worth the visit. We ordered two large pizzas, an appetizer, and drinks for the four of us, and everything was fresh, hot, and packed with flavor. The pizzas were made with quality ingredients, and the flavors truly shone through. Each bite was a reminder of why it's sometimes worth spending a bit more for great food. It's not the cheapest pizza spot around--our meal came out to about $75--but in my opinion, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for budget-friendly pizza, this may not be your go-to, but if you're after exceptional flavor, quality ingredients, and an overall memorable dining experience, Flaming Wheel is well worth it. Supporting a local business like this feels good, too, especially when they deliver such a high standard of food and service. Flaming Wheel Pizzeria has clearly put a lot of thought and care into their setup, and it shows in every aspect, from the atmosphere to the friendly team to the delicious pizza. It's a place I'd happily recommend to anyone in the Conroe area or even beyond if you don't mind a bit of a drive. Five out of five stars for Flaming Wheel Pizzeria--they've definitely "made pizza great again"!

The very small side salad, on the menu.

The little and fairly cozy pizzeria, is definitely a small and hidden gem, when dining as a couple. We ordered the Bruno's Meat Lovers Pizza 16", two side salads and a round of cold waters. The pizza was thin, toasty and lightly crispy, plenty of mozzarella and well portioned meats on each slice, and the side salads were very small in size and delectable, along with cold refreshing waters, to combine it all. Hope the review serves everyone well, as a reference .

Great food and food options, personal and friendly service, nice atmosphere, and minimal wait. We'll definitely come back!

Why 5 stars? Because the pizza was what I hoped it would be. --- --- --- And what I hoped it would be was delicious. I have wanted to visit the original Wheel Kitchen in Tomball for a long time but have yet to actually do so. I heard that they opened a second location in Conroe and then saw that Flaming Wheel also was opening in Conroe and getting lots of great reviews. Despite it being the third "Wheel" restaurant to open, it ended up being the first in the family that we visited. And it turns out, the second Wheel location is right next door. A lot of the options on the menu looked appealing, so it was hard to decide what to order, but we eventually went with one red and one white: The Marcelo and The Prosciutto. (Plus a small New Yorker for the kiddo). I really enjoyed both of these, but think the Prosciutto was the star of the show. The one thing I'd change about it is that there's a ton of arugula on top, which kind of just gets in the way, so I'd probably order light arugula for a future visit. But it was excellent overall: the combination of prosciutto with mushrooms and a white sauce was something I haven't heard before, but it worked perfectly. The Marcelo wasn't necessarily unique, but just tasted like high quality pizza. The service here was also super friendly. I really hope that this business prospers. We were told that they will have delivery available on Uber Eats soon, which will definitely help too!

Finally got to try their pizza and the meatball dip appetizer. Pro Tip: smash your mini-meatballs on your breadsticks so they don't roll across the floor and then out the door. The ingredients are fresh and lovingly made. They spend a lot of time making a great pizza. The only drawback is the price of the 'za. 2 large pizzas and an app were more than $70. But, quality food is going to cost more, especially these days.

Simply the most beautiful pizza ever. This is gourmet folks. Gourmet. Real ingredients, nickel pepperoni from `Italy.

Hands down the best pizza I have ever had!!!! High quality ingredients really shines here. Not only was the pizza amazing, we ordered a Caesar salad. Crispy crunchy and fresh down to the homemade croutons and makes the dressing from scratch. Definitely returning.

The pizza was delicious! My daughter said her pasta Alfredo was amazing. I am looking forward to going back and trying more menu items.

My husband and I came for the first time and were NOT disappointed. We did a half Sebastian and half Bruno Supreme. The place was very clean and spacious. The girl working as a cashier was very friendly as well as the son of the owner who creates the different types of pizzas. People have complained that prices too high, but it's no different than going to any other gourmet pizza place. It's not cheap ingredients like Papa John's, its gourmet! Definitely recommend trying this place out.

Good food! Pizza done right. However, $37 for a large pepperoni pizza and tiny Caesar salad is a little steep.

Frustrated and confused…read more I saw that this place had great reviews, so decided to try it out, but sadly, our experience did not live up to the hype. We placed our online delivery order at 7:09 and estimated delivery was 7:50 to 8:05. Order was delivered at 8:45, but hey, stuff happens right? Even though we live within 2 miles of the place. Side note:before I ordered, I made sure to give over 20% tip because I worked in the service industry and IYKYK... Ordered two pizzas: 10 inch vegetarian and 12 inch Chicken delight. We RECEIVED a 12 inch vegetarian and a 10 inch Chicken delight. We ordered a 2 liter of root beer. We RECEIVED a 2 liter bottle of Coke. The side of Alfredo we ordered was freezing (like it came out of a freezer) type of freezing. Both pizzas were cold and hard like they had been sitting. Lacking in flavor, tasted like cardboard. I don't understand how this place has so many high ratings--it was NOT good at all! All in all: Spent over 90 dollars to get the wrong pizzas (which didn't taste good anyway) the wrong beverage, freezing cold sauce and it was 40 minutes late. They did get the salad right, so kudos on that. Mostly just disappointed because we had really high hopes for this place, but definitely will not be reordering.

Come to find out Marsala's also has a location in Huffman, but they are not related to my other fav spot. Inside, the restaurant is actually small, I was expecting it to be much larger. They do bring you their garlic knots right at the beginning of the meal, but they did not look or taste much like my other fav Italian place in NE Houston. The bread at Marsala's was dry and crusty (the other place has soft and pillowy bread) and there was no drippings or garlic butter resting at the bottom of the bowl, so I just ate a little of the interior of the knot itself. I ended up choosing a lighter dish, shrimp scampi, since I was still full from lunch and my dining companion chose the chicken penne. I'm not sure whether the chef was out sick or what happened exactly, but both dishes came out from the kitchen really bland. There was no salt or seasoning to the food. The pasta also didn't seem like the water was salted during cooking. We mentioned this issue to our server, who then told the manager. They were really apologetic and even comped our entrees even though that wasn't our original intention. I just wanted to know what happened and why there was no seasoning at all in the food. We left and of course didn't bother to order dessert. In summary, the service was really good, I will give them that much, but the food was barely edible. I'm just not sure I would even come back to try other dishes since these two we ordered just could have been so much better.

At some point, we lost count on the songs, as one blended into another and each sounded just like the one before it. Hey, it was Thursday and he was a local putting himself out there for us to listen to. It's nice to have live entertainment during dinner and the background music was just background enough. Our seats were near the bar at the high top tables that gave a commanding view of the stage and bar area. The place was crowded for a Thursday night, filled with regulars enjoying the food and ambiance this century old building exudes in spades. Much like the breakfast menu we enjoyed a few weeks ago, our meals were almost identical. We both enjoyed the Reuben sandwich for our dinner. I personally wished it had more kraut, but the corned beef was tender and flavorful. I had added the sweet potato fried and we shared the cheesy fries as an appetizer. Cheesy fries do not do it justice. They were coated with more than enough cheese, accented with chopped onions and other herbs that added flavor and texture. Our waitress was wonderful and explained anything we had a question about during our meal order. I had an amber beer with dinner that really accented the reuben nicely. All in all, the dinner service was as enjoyable as our venture in there for breakfast. The Red Brick Tavern has now become a place we will go to more often ... not only for the food, but for the ambiance. Ciao, Darrell
