Service was very good and being off season we were seated with no reservation right away. However, not impressed. Food was okay, but definitely not anything to write home about. And for the price I expected much more. We ordered lobster bites, crab cakes, the Delmonico steak, chicken fingers, and Chicken Mediterranean. The lobster bites were overcooked and the batter was bland and unfortunate the chicken fingers had the same batter. The steak was decent but should have been so much better - I have had better from outback. The only real star was the crab cake, which my grandmother loved. I probably won't be going back. I can only imagine what dinner would have been like if the place was really busy. read more

This has always been our favorite restaurant mainly for the lobster bites. Four of us dined on 6/7/25. We each ordered a meal and a side of lobster bites. The lobster bites were terrible. Had a terrible sour taste. We told our waitress who admitted there had been complaints the second half of the night. Also admitted they were not up to par. The table next to us also complained about the lobster bites. We were still charged for the lobster bites even though the waitress admitted there were complaints from others. Found out the restaurant is under new ownership. Our meals were not as delicious as previous visits. Maybe an off night but we should not have been charged for bad lobster bites. read more

Food poisoning.......We had a terrible experience. My wife ordered the Filet Cagney and unfortunately unfortunately got food poisoning. We called the restaurant the next day to report it to them so they were aware and the manager was incredibly rude and unwilling to consider they could have been the cause. We really wanted to enjoy our experience and thought the restaurant had a lot of potential and food poisoning can happen to any restaurant, but to add the insult of a combative manager on top of the sickness is just too much to stomach. read more

If you can get past the outdated atmosphere, which may be part of the draw to some, the food is great. Try the filet oscar with crab meat and Bernaise sauce. The prices are reasonable and they even have a decently priced wine list. Some areas can be loud, depending on where you are seated and if there are families with kids. There have been times they have closed around the holidays which has been a bummer when anticipating a celebratory dinner. We just left there and the food and service were great! We had a waiter named London, he was curteous and very accomodating. Started with She crab soup. It was good and we ordered from the small appetite side ($14 and under) I ordered the Shrimp and Grits... They were wonderful and had enough leftover for a side dish with lunch tomorrow. The rest of my family ordered Cajun Fried Shrimp (There were 6 large shrimp on the plate) and came with potatoes and vegie. The Fried Shrimp were quite good. We will return. read more

The food is average. My husband had the herbed red snapper. The breading was plain bread crumbs and the sauce was yellow, thick and tasteless. The calamari appetizer was actually tender but there was so much batter it's all you tasted. Our son had the grouper that was dry and bland. Our other son had salmon teriyaki and really enjoyed it so that was a plus. I had prime rib and taste was average and not the most tender but on a positive note it was cooked nicely. Our vegetables taste like dish water and he asked for medium well tuna and they brought him out a rare still spongy wet tuna! I have enjoyed food all over the east coast, west coast, Canada & even traveled to Mexico (but did not eat there, didn't even drink the water). Flamingo Grill is our favorite bar none. We rate it tops in every respect. In fact, as much as we love the beach, especially Myrtle, we look forward to our trip to Flamingo Grill more so than we trip to the beach. If you love lobster, as we do, by all means try the Lobster Chunks, you'll be "hooked" as we are (no pun intended). read more

Medium rare steak came out cold when we told the server her response was that it's supposed to be cold because it was medium .... calamari came out flavorless literally drenched it in the marinara sauce to get a little flavor . Our server brought out a salad instead of the soup. No big deal, but when asking for the correct food, it seemed to take longer than necessary for an item that is pre made. Our server then referred to the soup of the day as "baby food," which felt unprofessional and off-putting. When you're dining somewhere like this and spending over $200 on a meal, you expect a certain level of respect and care, not commentary that makes fun of the food being served. Not everyone gets to enjoy places like this often, so when they do, it should feel special, not uncomfortable. I hope this feedback is taken constructively, as the restaurant itself has great potential, but the service experience really took away from it.

I called the restaurant to speak with the manager, and from the beginning, he was defensive, blaming the issue on a new cook. When I calmly explained the other disappointing aspects of the meal and simply asked him to make the situation right, he became increasingly argumentative. He repeatedly insisted that it wasn't his fault and claimed they had never received complaints about the food before. To be clear, I never asked for a full refund -- I only expected some acknowledgment beyond removing the wings from the bill. Instead, the manager became rude and hostile, so I eventually ended the call. I would not recommend dining here. The management was extremely unprofessional and unwilling to take responsibility for serious food quality issues, especially considering the high prices. I paid $42 for a seafood platter with the smallest excuse for a Crab Cake ever. It was finger food at best. Shrimp? 5 total. Oysters? 4 total. And literally didn't get a piece of fish. It was the size of a chicken tender at best. In fact I've had Bojangles Tenders that are bigger. Me and my wife joked about how they even had a piece of fish this small. Literally felt like I got an appetizer portion of food. If that's the normal portions this place should feel ashamed for serving that at that price. We bought a coupon and have one left to used. It's SO BAD that I don't even wanna use my other coupon I've paid for. Eating the cost might be a better bargain than eating here again. Wow. Pathetic

Unfortunately, the ones here were not the same and were very disappointing. I won't be returning to this location. I didn't take a picture, but the Old Fashioned was also disappointing, it barely covered the ice. The decor was the same as other locations, you can see the pictures I've posted. The service was good and very acceptable. The oysters, however, were good.

We really wanted a good seafood boil, but we settled for this. However, quick service! When I order beer for us, it was quite fast and always ice cold , but the food was... nothing special to talk about... very bland. Not sure why this place is popular, maybe the price is competitive to others like it with bad quality
