I was so pleasantly surprised how much I liked this place. My son played down the place saying it isn't at all foodie oriented and it's very famlly oriented casual. Which is all true = but I loved the down to earth vibe here - very friendly staff - LOTS of choices to choose from from apps, mains, salads etc I ended up eating here 3 times in a week since it was a three minute walk from where I was staying. Prices are so very reasonable and the portions are dang generous. I had the grilled salmon sandwich each time with different sides. Dirty rice could feed 3 people easily lol Downside was the nachos my friend ordered which looks amazingly gigantic was sad. Cold chips with almost no cheese on it whatsoever. She ordered no beans/chili on it - but still very very sad pile of almost naked chips. Service that night was odd - drinks didn't come together - long lag on her wine coming while my frozen margarita melted away Son got the chicken sandwich on visit - was really good - but his fries were all cold. Hit or miss on service and food. One evening we had great service at the bar and another evening on the patio was not so good.

We came with a group of 8 adults and two kids. We waited nearly an hour, but it was Friday night with a big party. Food was excellent and the service was great. I pictured the chipotle chicken sandwich that I got but some others got the ribs and said they were great also. This one's located on Deerfield Beach where they have an outside bar and seating and patio seating where you can get the fresh ocean breeze and some views of the ocean I had the Joe's meal deal With the prime rib, baked potato Caesar salad, and garlic fresh rolls and a beverage of your choice alcoholic or not alcoholic. all this for one price and they have about six to choose from, great deal and big portions. our server was great and my food was hot when we got it. because of being on the beach, the only problem is the parking can be a problem. Having been here a multitude of times, our last visit had us leaving because they wouldn't put is at a table, instead they wanted us in the bar at hightops with my 87 year old uncle. This was not the norm, but frustrating none the less. Their food is solid, dependable and consistent. This is important to me as we know if we go to any Flanigan's, we know what to expect. He called the Sheriff who arrived and told me he was sending me to jail if I do not pay the entire bill. Are you kidding me! I so wanted to go to jail.For offering to pay half of my meal. I told him I would pay my bill at 10 o'clock. Sheriff came back to tell me I am trespassing and I must leave the premises. This place has treated me with complete and utter disrespect. I tried to park in their only designated handicap spot, which is right in front of the restaurant. Instead of being accommodating, I was immediately told that the space was reserved for valet. When I asked the manager, STEVE, why this spot wasn't available for people with disabilities, he dismissively told me that because it's private property, the handicap sign doesn't matter and that I either had to pay or risk being towed. His attitude was rude and condescending. I find it absolutely appalling that this establishment would stoop so low as to exploit a handicap space to make extra money instead of simply allowing a disabled customer to park there. It's disgraceful and shameful, and they should seriously reconsider how they treat people. Needless to say, I left and took my business next door to the Whale Rib, who didn't raise any concerns with parking directly in front of my table. read more
