Very disappointing brunch on Sunday. While the weather was great. The coffe was ice cold and Inhad to send mine back because the cup was filthy with ild coffee stains and lipstick marks. The food took a long time to come and the scrambles eggs were hard, cold and smothered in cold cheese. The table waa not cleared promptly and the birds were a huge menace. Not a great experience. But this can be improved on with a bit of attention to detail. read more

Your nearby food options are limited if you're staying at the Waterstone, so stopped by here for a bite to eat. Ordered a grilled chicken sandwich for lunch. It was pretty basic; a little dry. I've had better fast food grilled chicken burgers, unfortunately. I came back for breakfast the next day because, again, no other food options. Salmon lox and bagel. Pretty simple dish. I sat and watched all the other tables get their food. I had to inquire about my order after 15 min and it subsequently showed up. Nothing on the plate required cooking....someone seems to have forgotten my order. read more

Breakfast by the inlet. Great view and a solid breakfast... but it looses out on: WAY too many flies coming in off the water, and the service staff was hard to find. We stopped waiting for our toast to accompany our eggs... and our drinks did not get a chance to be refilled... and we ever so needed our coffee to be refilled. The chairs are more comfortable than the benches by the glass. But nothing was overly comfortable that you would expect from a high-end hotel like this. Very stylish and pleasing to the eye, but just an overall uncomfortable experience. Steak and eggs were SPOT ON. The chimichurri was very mild and good for a morning starter. The eggs were cooked to perfection. But, as I was busy swatting at flies the entire time in competition for my steak... not an enjoyable experience. Maybe drinks in the afternoon/evening would be better, but would not want to battle the bugs for this price and known alternatives. read more

Was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this breakfast was at the Waterstone. As a Hilton Honors member, breakfast was complimentary so there was no reason for me to not take advantage! I had the classic American breakfast and the eggs were cooked perfectly. The potatoes were amazing and mixed with some onions and peppers that added great flavor. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the Waterstone Rum Bar and Grill. I sat out on the patio one late afternoon and had a very enjoyable Cobb Salad and a glass of wine. The bartender was very friendly and happy to let me try a small sample of their Pinot Grigio before committing to a whole glass. The vibe, music and other guests were very chill and the view of the IntraCoastal was beautiful. A hidden gem for sure! read more

We came here for drinks on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. What's great: Awesome view of Lake Boca. This is a great place to sit and watch the boats as they go through the inlet. They also had a great reggae band, which gave the place a fun, beachy vibe. Sadly, those are the only goods thing about his place. The service is atrocious. We walked through the hotel to the back deck bar area. The hostess did not greet us at all. We had to ask her for a table, to which she replied that we could seat ourselves. We found two seats with a great view of the water. 10 minutes later, however, nobody had come to take our order or even drop off menus. We were about to get up and leave when we saw two seats at the bar, and figured we would have better service there. Nope! Not one bartender said hello. Nobody smiled. It was as though we were bothering them by coming for a drink. One man at the bar asked if the bartender could change the TV station, and the bartender snapped at him and said he would get to it when he had a minute. It's important to note that this place was by no means slammed. Even more, the bar area was filthy, and nobody was in a hurry to clean it up. My husband's drink was served with a side of sand on the glass, and there were spilled drinks all across the bar. We had our one drink and got out of there. It's a shame because we live across the street, and it's so convenient. I don't think we'll be back. read more

Really unimpressed with the quality of the food. Everything looks good. But the steak didn't have a very good flavor, I took the stuff on top of it off. The mashed potatoes tasted sour, like way too much lemon. I tried the burger and fries another day and the fries were good, but the burger was tasteless. The key lime pie was also overly sour, even the ice cream served with it was sour. It's a hotel restaurant so the prices were very high. I give 2 stars but I feel like Waterstone Grill could have potential to be much better. I came here last month on a Saturday for a first date. This place had a great romantic vibe to it, especially at night. We hung out and sat outside on their lounge chairs on a beautiful evening. It was a pretty setting and it overlooked the water. They had holiday lights set up, a fireplace, water fountains....I was really happy at first and thought this place was a hidden gem. My issue was that it's pricey, the portions were ultra small and the quality of the food was nothing special. We got a salad to share and 2 appetizers...shrimp cocktail and tuna crudo (we were just looking for finger food...being a first date). We also had 3 drinks each. The salad was fresh but it was small, there were 4 shrimp cocktail, and the tuna crudo was ok. Also, I had a couple of Grey Goose and sodas and felt like they were watered down....I didn't even have a buzz. The bill including tip was $150. When coming here, you really do have to take into account that this restaurant is located inside a hotel and you're paying for the location and atmosphere. Unfortunately, I just couldn't get past the prices, plate sizes and mediocre food. Ultimately I wasn't satisfied thinking back on it all. And for $150, I can go to any top notch restaurant in Boca Raton and get a much more fulfilling dining experience. read more

Sitting on couches at the waterfront is the treat here. But the food is just mediocre. I figured that a high end location would have something more special. I had a hard time deciding what to order because it really was not appealing. My wife and I shared a fresh chopped salad that had a nice crunch. Skip adding the shrimp. They were small and bland. The only other thing we could agree on was the mahi mahi tacos. There was not a lot of fish in them and I tasted the guacamole more than anything else. I would recommend this place to somebody who wants to sit outside and drink with friends on a couch. Not for dinner, however. read more

Enjoyed a great lunch yesterday alongside the intracoastal. The weather was really nice with the breeze and was seated under an umbrella. Tiffany was our waitress. She was awesome ! She was so attentive to our needs and didn't miss a beat. She checked in regularly and didn't forget to bring anything we asked for. Appreciate her service ! We started off with a fish dip that was excellent ! Wasn't too fishy or Smokey - just right ! My girlfriend and I both ordered the fish tacos. The fish was grouper which is one of my favs and add avocado since I didn't get the black beans on it. It was so good ! Maybe a little too much sour cream but other than that, it was fresh and would order again ! I ordered the kids chicken fingers for my son, who pleasantly enjoyed ! All around terrible service, food.. mediocre at best. Upon check in at the hostess stand we opted to wait for a table near the water, we let the hostess know we would get a drink at the bar while we waited, we were told there was 1 party ahead of us. After we watched 2 tables by the water get up, cleaned and then sat again, we approached the hostess who said she didn't know we were still there. The manager, or someone who I am assuming was higher up got involved as yet another table got up, I requested to be sat there and the hostess agreed and walked over to start clearing the table while the manager told us that he planned on giving the table to someone else, showed us another table and basically said it take it or leave it. Our waiter was no better, zero personality and never once smiled, at some point he was gone for so long we had to go to the bar and get drinks ourselves. All 3 people in my party ordered the blackened fish tacos based on our waiter's recommendation, we requested truffle fries instead of regular fries. The tacos were nothing more than a burnt tortilla with a few pieces of fish which was not blackened. It was pathetic looking. A side or corn/bean salsa and a side or what the called 'limey cilantro crema' however, this was more like 99.9% sour cream and a few leaves of cilantro. I complained about the fact that the fish was not blackened, it was taken back and I got what now looked like deep fried fish, however, no still sign of it being blackened. The limes served on the side where dry as rocks. After the whole fiasco with the food none of us realized that we never even got our french fries at all! A robbery at $19. read more

The Bar&Grill serves LUNCH. The menu options include a variety of BITES (Buffalo Mahi Bites, Shrimp nachos, Calamari, Hummus and Pita) - I'd re-order the calamari and mahi bites. SANDWICHES AND WRAPS, including a tasty grilled MAHI MAHI w/ Smoked bacon BLT, a CUBANO, SHRIMP PO BOY, VEGETABLE WRAP, BURGER. I've had the Veggy wrap, Mahi Mahi BLT, and CUBANO, and they are all worth re-ordering. HUGE portions, include fries or side salad. SALADS (caesar, baby greens, or arugula and hearts of palm) are large and well priced at $9, and you can add Chicken, shrimp or fresh catch of the day. The setting is 10*, as you look out onto Lake Boca Inlet, and is the only restaurant in Boca which looks out onto water, and you watch the boats going in and out. I've rated 4* cause the service needs to be worked out. At the time of this review, they have only been open for about 10 weeks, and some of the servers, while eager to please, are not well trained yet. [Bringing coffee without a spoon, or forgetting the cream or sweetener is a no-no. Or taking away your silver wear when clearing plates and forgetting to bring new silver...] PLUS, management needs to address creating more SHADE (umbrellas?), as it gets incredibly HOT if you are at a table which is in the sun, and even the tables under the overhang can be a challenge when there is not a breeze. Maybe some attractive ceiling fans? None exist right now... I'm a fan, and give credit to management for being receptive to constructive criticism as they work through the kinks. The nice outdoor seating by pool not open for breakfast other outdoor area was wet and staff could not be bothered to dry tables and seat . , males no sense. We had fish dip and quest with chips for apps and we devoured those. For a meal I had the jerk spicy chicken sandwich with fries - yum! The only thing good I can say is the people are friendly and your view is great- other than that it's just blah. Our napkins were stained and the tables were dirty so we had to wait for someone to clean them.. we weren't impressed so left and went to JB's on the Beach. I have been to Waterstone many times. The view is wonderful. The food has been excellent. Today we enjoyed the new look. The new furniture is lovely to look at. The seats are very deep. I used a seat cushion from an empty seat as a back cushion to before comfortable. I'm tall so I assume that a short person would be very uncomfortable. I asked for napkins for under the drinks so the moisture wouldn't drip through the slots on the table. I heard someone say that they don't need them and we didn't get them. The cauliflower is a new menu item. I have had it other places, but this recipe was very salty. The mahi Reuben was also very salty. It was served with thick unremarkable half pumpernickel bread. The mahi was delicious. The parmesan fries were ok. The new Waterstone has some work to do to make the food as good as the view. read more

The only reason it gets that many stars is the location. So nice to sit on the water. Cool breeze is a bonus. The guacamole was "whipped" and a bit runny-I prefer chunkier. Chips stale. Caesar sucked what with the gross bottle dressing and the "gem" lettuce that was hard as a rock and so hard to cut! Damp croutons Burger was very good and homemade but fries cold and limp. Best thing was the braised short ribs with mushrooms and polenta. Service was nice but slowwwww. We'd return for the ambiance but they really need to up their food game !! read more

We found this when we were invited to a cocktail party with my husband's business group. Apparently, it opened fairly recently. Be prepared to valet park, as there isn't a lot of free parking. I've got to admit, I don't like the extra expense of valet parking, especially if you're going to be eating at an upscale restaurant. At least it was only $5. To get to the grill, you have to go through the hotel lobby, which was quite nice and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Our first stop was the bar. I tentatively ordered a rum punch, which can be very good if it's made correctly. Most places I've had it put in a lot of grenadine syrup and little else. This one wasn't like that. The drink was excellent with a lot of rum, only a splash of fruit juice and just a bit of grenadine. I could drink them all evening. Then it was on to the snacks. There was already a tray of mixed meats (salami, prosciutto, etc.), a variety of good cheeses, hummus and warm pita. The only issue was that it should have been covered with a net dome, due to the prevalence of bothersome insects on the edge of the canal. Later on, we were served crab toast, which had a bit of avocado spread and finely minced bell peppers. It was supposed to have some lime, but I couldn't find any hint of it. It was a bit on the bland side, needing both salt and citrus to brighten the flavors. The buffalo mahi bites were delicious. The had a very light coating and were perfectly cooked, the dipping sauce had a definite zing. We tried the short rib sliders. They weren't bad, they just needed a bit more flavor and the slice of beef was pretty small. The highlight were the crab cakes. They were moist and flavorful, not at all bland. They had the perfect crunchy exterior with just a hint of spicy heat and barely enough filler to bind the chunks of crab together. They were served over a bed of a creamy sweet corn, which was a perfect foil for the fish. While there were a couple of things that needed work, they are certainly off to a good start. I hope we'll be able to go back one of the days for a real dinner. read more

RESTAURANT JAIL- the service here is now terrible. After waiting a good 30 minutes for a table open we had to wait another 20/30 minutes for our server to come over. She thought someone else helped us because we had drinks from the bar. They changed the menu and it's much smaller and the prices are in the stratosphere. Ahi tuna salad for 23 bucks!?! The only cooked fish on the menu is swordfish, there's a couple sandwiches, burger, and a couple entree options. I ate the jerk chicken sandwich which was decent. Parking is a pain and you have to valet which is 5 bucks. The view is still great but that's litterally all this place has going for it anymore. read more

Waterstone Hotel (Rum Bar and Grill) is not far from my house and because of that I go often by both boat and car but I think for now I might be done. The front end of the restaurant is in disarray with a lack of competent management or sometimes even an absence of management. The last two times I went I had to flag down a waiter to procure a table. Where is the host? Host stand? There is so much potential here but it is a corporate hotel (Hilton) and they have chosen to go simple and basic but then taking it a few notches lower by serving pre-packaged factory made, delivered food. This is not the place to go to if you want a chef-driven meal as its below junk food quality but in a location graced with a beautiful view. And that's the only reason people are here, because its not the food. The menu is simple and dated and not befitting of its location. I've had at best an okay burger -taken down by industrial packaged fries, frozen fish (I mean come on it's Florida and its a waterfront restaurant) lousy tacos and pear tortellini, which was possibly the worst pasta dish I might have ever eaten - it was clearly pre-made and the sauce the cook added on was not properly mixed. So basically it was a frozen dinner prepared incorrectly. A lousy dish made even worse. The wait staff is very nice but they can be overwhelmed and this is due to a lack of management supervising the staff or even helping them and they work hard. I hope changes come to the only restaurant currently operating at the Waterstone because its a shame to diminish a great view with lousy food. read more

Calamari Appetizer $17 Good size portion, really good crust on calamari..but calamari itself was not fresh, and /or it was overcooked...it was rubbery. The pepper aioli was ok, tasted more like a flavored ranch than mayo based aioli. Roasted Beet Salad: about $15? Tasty, good size portion. Could have used a touch of salt and fresh cracked pepper. Great presentation. Over all, great view of the marina while eating. Service was ok, did not receive napkin, no longer serve complimentary fish dip w/ homemade potato chips, now serve complimentary pretzel bread rolls with butter whipped with sour cream and balsamic vinegar and olive oil? To go with bread. Would have preferred some fresh herbs in the olive oil, balsamic vinegar conflicts on my pallet with the sourness of the pretzel roll. Nothing spectacular, u r definitely paying for the view with these prices, not the quality of food. Good one time experience will not go back. read more

Went to Waterstone yesterday for the first time. This place was very nicely nestled into a corner at the Boca Inlet Bridge right on the water, inside a small "Hilton" hotel. The location of the place is quaint. Watching the boats go by was really like an added attraction. We both had Greek Salads with blackened shrimp for lunch and I must say this was a well prepared, fresh looking and tasty lunch salad. Our server was extremely nice and had an excellent feel and "panache" for his job. Our only complaints were that the place was a bit too noisy to have a low key conversation, the decor was a bit cold and the low ceiling fairly dark dingy feel of the small hotel lobby that you walk through to get there unfortunately doesn't help this place. The good service, good food, good visual location, but noisy and sterile feel will probably keep this from my favorites list, but the boats going by, nice lunch, and good service will get me back for a second try, away from everything noisy. The cars going over the bridge at the Boca Inlet and the noisy bar make your seating location here much more important than you initially think. A fourth star may be in the cards, now that I understand how important seating location is. read more

I cringe at even giving you one star I reside close to the Waterstone. Loved the previous restaurant, Watercolors Boca's only waterfront location. I am horribly disappointed that you do not even offer food as a part of happy hour I will make announcements to my Boca ladies clubs. And let them know to avoid Waterstone. I also do not think it is fair to your waitstaff. 5 tables verses a full house. So very sad you do not want to reach out to Boca residents especially during off season so we will recommend you to snow birds I want to be sure that you realize I am commenting on the outside bar. We we called to the hotel about dining here and to make a reservation, we thought we were going to the the hotel's main restaurant (Boca Landing Prime Seafood & Crafted Cocktails). Unfortunately, after arriving, we found out the main restaurant had closed and we were seated at this casual outdoor restaurant. Unfortunately, the food was only OK bar food at the prices of their main restaurant. The prices were massive in comparison to the food you got. One dish in particular, the grilled salmon, was $27 for a mini strip of salmon that was over cooked. What a massive disappointment. If you want to spend a lot of money for not a whole lot, come to this restaurant. read more
