Intrigued by the name, which I'm told has nothing to do with the pizza. Ours was the works and was served fresh and tasty. They have an old school wood-fired oven that doesn't crank them out, rather creates delicious thin crust pies. You'll like it, too. read more

We had a team dinner here after a soccer tournament game. I've never had such an excellent and efficient experience with a large group! They were able to split all the checks between individual families, kept our drinks full and the orders were taken like magic. Plus the food was great! We had Greek salads, pizza and wings. I used to love their pizza. It was worth it but overpriced. I bought a $30. large pizza last week and it was completely burnt. I brought it back to them and they said " oh, we can make you a new one in five minutes." So, why didn't they just do that without me returning. The 2nd pizza wasn't much better. Fantastic! From meatballs to salads, pizzas and calzones we have zero complaints. We've been there almost once a week since September when friends told us how great it is. We've only had takeout, for one reason or another we haven't had the chance to go in and eat. We're always greeted when walking in, we've never been ignored even when the restaurant is full. They have specials Tuesday through Friday (closed Mondays) and they're a deal. I'm a veteran and was pleased to see that they offer all active duty and vets 20% off! Each time I remind them about the discount I'm thanked for my service, usually by more than one person there. So if you want freshly made in-house dough, mozzarella, meatballs and sauce then you need to give Flat Earth Pizza a try, you will be happy you did! read more

Good amount of toppings on their 10 inch gluten free crust. Crust had a good flavor and was crunchy without being dry. I mean who doesn't love a fluffy deep dish pizza but if you're allergic to wheat it's a good crust. Fluffy fresh salad (not sad and wilted like some). Okay so I have been to Flat Earth many times since my last review, and I have to say I'm super happy every time I go there. The wings are really tasty. They smoke them which really makes them stand out against other restaurants with wings and is usually why we order from there. Because they aren't fried- they're a healthier option and the Smokey spicy flavor combo just works. The pizza is good. I've had both the NY and the Old World style. I have to say I prefer the crispier crunch to the NY style - I'm an easy coaster and this is the closest I can get to good pizza. Sauce is robust and flavorful, ingredients are fresh. Tonight we tried salads for the first time. We ordered both a house and Caesar salads - both were fresh and delicious. Lastly, one of my favorite things about flat Earth is their ranch. I know it seems silly but their dressing is super delicious. Goes well on Pizza, wings, salads, beer bread, and probably everything else too. Service and atmosphere in the restaurant is nice but we usually get our food to go. Much improved from my negative experience so many months again. ----------------------------- So tonight was a total bust. We ordered ahead and were given a wait time of 40 minutes (okay no big deal), but when we arrived the fun began... First off, we waited at the register while the kitchen staff was frantically trying to fix mistaken tickets for awhile. No one bothered to say "just a minute", etc. Again, not a huge deal it was a busy night but really? Did you not see the line of three or four people? We pay, the woman at the register says it'll be "5-10 more minutes, they just have to finish cooking the wings, but they're in. Your beer bread is done." So we wait around for 15 minutes to be told they can't make the order because they're "completely out of wings". We called an hour ago at this point and no one bothered to check to see if enough were made? Really- that's just poor management. Not to mention the lady at the register just said our order was done! WTH! The woman refunded our money and did give us a complimentary voucher for free wings, which was kind, but the owner seemed so flustered and basically didn't care. He offered to make us pizza, we didn't want it. Oh, the best part- they offer to let us keep the Beer Bread since it was ready....except it wasn't and they couldn't find it. It's a shame the last two times we've had less than stellar service and ridiculous wait times for take out, but the food has been fantastic! Great pizza and calzones no matter what time you go into this place. They use a real brick pizza oven and seem to strive to do their best to make the food to your liking. The prices are high, but that's to be expected from any good pizza place. I meant to post this Thursday, let me first say that this is still one of the best pizza places in Carson City (not many to choose from). With that being said, they were completely off this time. Not only was our pizza burned (see pic) but so were my husbands chicken wings. I was very disappointed this time around, I should have called and complained but I had an angry hungry toddler who loves pizza but wouldn't touch this one with a ten foot pole that I ended up needing to cook dinner for. Ok, you gotta get the greek salad. The margarita pizza is delish, along with the 2 vegetarian ones....I cant remember names but one has mushrooms and the other has zucchini and other veggies. They deliver and pretty darn quick! I'd give it 5 stars but the atmosphere inside the restaurant isn't the best. This is the first time we have been here since the new owner took over. We ordered a pizza which had pepperoni and sausage. It is not the same as it used to be. Our server convinced us to try the wings because "they are the best in the world". They were ok. The pepperoni on the pizza was paper thin. The sausage seemed like the kind you would find on a frozen pizza from 7/11. There was not much sauce and the little bit of cheese seemed weird. The crust was also extremely thin and light. Overall it seemed like this place is cutting corners but the price was high. I don't like giving family run places a poor review but I'm sorry I am just being honest. The energy level in the place was low and the kitchen and the counter area used to be busy. Instead they were just standing around. I ordered online and did curbside pickup due to COVID-19. The customer service and online ordering were great. The food was mediocre. I was ordering for two adults and four teens. The teens all wanted wings so we ordered the original smoked wings. The meat was tougher than a regular chicken wing and they were too spicy (and we eat spicy food all the time). Not to mention there was an option for the original flavor but even spicier. Another issue is the online ordering system didn't show an option to order a pepperoni pizza so I went with the meat lovers. The pizza was just okay. First time ordering Flat Earth Pizza. I called around 7:30 to order for delivery. I was placed on hold for about 10 minutes after finally picking up they told me they couldn't deliver because they were "stacked up on deliveries". I ordered the old world style pizza that was advertised as coming with fresh basil and fresh mozzarella. I also got two topping additional to what it originally says it comes with. I got bacon and pepperoni. There was hardly any bacon. Also when the pizza came out I noticed it didn't have the basil on it. I expressed my concern and they told me that the basil won't be put on the pizza if it has more than one greasy meat. No one bothered to explain that to me when I ordered the pizza. This pizza is a bit overpriced. The pizza was good not great but good. It lacked in presentation. The customer service wasn't horrible but it could use some work. They lack atmosphere its not a place I would stay and eat at. There were two muted TVs and no music. All you could hear was the co-workers yelling back and forth to each other. Overall I think this place has potential due to the different style pizza. It's certainly stands out from the usual pizza chains in Carson. I hope they pick up on all the areas they are lacking. Food is excellent; I had the Old World pizza and Tuscan salad. However, their website is woefully out of date. My pizza was supposed to be 12.99 and the salad 6.99. They charged me 16.99 and 7.99. When I called to ask why I was overcharged, I was told that was what the menu said. When I told them the website needed updating, I was literally met with silence. I finally just hung up. Ordered two pizzas for takeout - the fungus amungus and the the hawaiian luau. The pizza was good, but definitely not worth the $20 for 4 slices. The "mushroom lover" pizza had very few mushrooms on it. Paid an extra $2 to get artichoke hearts on the pizza, and it had so little that you couldn't even taste them. The woman that took our order wreaked of cigarettes. She told us it would be 20-25 minutes, we waited over an hour. A handful of employees were standing around doing absolutely nothing. A man from a group that had gotten there before us had walked up to say he had been waiting 1hr and 45m for his pizza, and she responded that they were "rolling out the dough now". TLDR; Overpriced pizza and shitty service. I will not be returning. read more
