We picked up a takeout order this week from Flat Earth. We were very happy with it. The New York style crust is perfectly thin with a nice crispness to the bottom. We ordered the Goodfella and 1/2 pepperoni and the other half Fungus Amungus. The fungus pizza has a delicious porcini mushroom sauce on it. We also ordered a full rack of the smoked pork ribs. They were fall of the bone tender, delicately spiced and the BBQ sauce on the side was perfect. The staff was welcoming and helpful. I did notice that the amount of toppings on our pizzas were sparse in comparison to other photos of the finished product. I am sure this will be worked out though since this lovely new spot hadn't been opened all that long. We look forward to dining there again. read more

Flat earth pizza was great. Food was good, they had daily specials/deals that were good and our server was very nice. We had a group of 10 people and we thought the pricing was very good. My husband and I are Gluten free so we were very thankful and pleased that they had Gluten free crust available. We ordered two pizzas, a salad, and some of their ribs. The pizzas were delicious, especially the crust. Terrific ratios of cheese to sauce to toppings. I hate being overwhelmed by one aspect of the pizza and this place took that into account. The salad was fresh with really good balsamic dressing. The ribs were good, not great. I very much enjoyed them, but they arent the best Ive had. All in all, pretty darn great place read more

Good pizza , service was quick, ordered a Coke with my pizza and asked if they had cherry Coke waitress said no but she could add grenadine so I was all set. Pizza came out quickly but wasn't expecting to have the salad set in the middle of a cut in half personal pizza, this was different but ok. Wow! This pizza is delicious! Our first time here, it's a seat yourself kinda place. Brandon greeted us immediately with enthusiasm and warmth..he was awesome! He went over the menu with us and made everything sound super yummy! We decided on the Mediterranean pizza with smoked chicken and a Tuscan salad with strawberry vinaigrette the salad was so fresh and crisp and absolutely delicious! The pizza these guys make is fantastic! Great crust with bubbled edges and perfect char on the bottom thanks to the brick oven. I had an individual NY pizza with sausage. All the ingredients are high quality. Also, the staff was friendly and the service was very good. I'm giving a 4 star rating because of the atmosphere and the fact they don't offer wine ( although they do have some fine beers to choose from). I don't think it would take much to make it a little more cozy and warm and maybe have an Italian feel (like Grimaldi's). As it is now, it's like being in a cafeteria. I'll definitely be back to try the Old World style pizza and the desserts. Sandwiches look good too! read more

I don't really have much to say except this is probably the best pizza joint in Carson City. It's excellent NY style pizza that's slightly charred on the bottom that you can fold in half, just as I like it. Being from the SF Bay Area, it's really hard to give this place 5 stars because there are a number of establishments that offer pizza that is just as good if not a bit better for similar prices, but they're not here in Carson City and I only give 5 stars to places that I have absolute cravings for. We stopped here on a road trip on a whim and super glad we did. Super good hot wings and pizza. Idk what it's called but we got the pizza with the creamy bell pepper sauce. I ate here with my wife on a Saturday night in May. We got there about 30 minutes before they closed and they were very accommodating and didn't rush us out. Now for the pizza review! We ordered a square Hawaiian pizza NY style. All of the ingredients were super fresh. The cheese was delicious and the pineapple you could tell was freshly sliced. Being an easy coaster you expect pizza on the west coast to be disappointing but Flat earth pizza is anything but disappointing! First stop every month! We have a vacation home in Gardnerville. We come up monthly. Every month our first stop is Flat Earth Pizza for dinner. We love this place. The servers are friendly and kind, the food is beyond delicious. The cheesy beer bread -- oh so yummy. You can have toppings added and make it your meal. The large salad can be shared by up to four people and is fresh with homemade salad dressings. And the pizza - absolutely wonderful I like the Fungus Amongous (spelling?) the best but honestly I've not had a pizza there I didn't love. Between the cheesy beer bread and the pizza, the owner has nailed down how to make crust. Give this place a try - you will love it! read more

So my husband and I were in Carson city for his ultra marathon. And all he wanted after the 50 miles was pizza. I went searching for pizza in the neighborhood. I noticed the wood fire oven in the pictures. And ordered one old world style pizza and one New York style pizza. And let me say they were both delicious. Fresh, crispy , soft cheesy goodness. I was so happy to have found such a wonderful place that I forgot to take a picture. But believe me this place is amazing. Great fresh food and the staff was awesome as well. After you have been greeted by friendly staff, or the owner who cares enough to be there and cooking, you are seated. DO NOT miss the Cheesy Garlic Bread appetizer, perhaps with one of their amazing salad offerings. Then, after being utterly amazed at the fresh cheese, wonderful garlic sauce, and the best crust I've eaten...EVER, you will be treated to one of several pizza offerings. The Fungus Amongus or Smoking Consentino are amazing, as are their other offerings, but my favorite is their all-meat Goodfella! They smoke their own meats, and this is absolute heaven. We decided to give this place a try. My husband and I were excited to try a brick oven New York style pizza place in Carson. We decided to dine in. There was a very loud biker group in the regular seating area. We couldn't even speak to each other. After an hour they told us our pizza was finally going in the oven. We were hungry! Again the crust is amazing. We have now been to this restaurant 3 times and have some suggestions for the management. I like to pick a pizza according the the items listed on the menu. I expect the pizza to have those items. We have had the same pizza 3 different ways and have had to ask about the missing items. I feel the wait staff should tell the customer if the pizza can't be made as listed on the menu. We found the Caesar salad to be different also. Yesterday they added a slightly bitter spring mix when we expected it to be romaine lettuce. I hope to see improvement in these areas when the restaurant has been open for awhile and the staff has more experience. read more

Had lunch and it was so good. Got the large size Greek salad with smoked chicken. Delish crisp romaine, Greek olives, artichoke hearts, feta, chicken with house balsamic! Yum! $100 of disappointment. We ordered an extra-large Quattro Formaggi, and a regular Old World Style pizza along with some chicken wings (via Door Dash) bringing our order to just over $100. Our order arrived complete and on time, and was delivered by a very nice guy. When I opened the pizza boxes, I found they were the exact same pizza... we received 2, Old World Style pizzas.. no Quattro. So, I called Flat Earth and got Brandon.. Brandon, the Assistant Manager, verified the order, and then proceeded to tell me that these pizzas look exactly the same, that even though the formaggi pizza is supposed to have three additional types of cheeses, and the description does not indicate basil, it too, has basil. He rudely insisted they did not make an error, and that we are clearly too stupid to tell these pizzas apart. Not only do these pizzas look identical... but amazingly enough.. they tasted exactly the same! These pizzas are not equally priced, so I paid for something I did not get. We were fans of this place until tonight .. As long as Brandon is going to treat his customers this way, we won't be back. read more

I live in this neighborhood. I love their wings and pizza. I will sadly never buy food from this place again. I called and the gentleman named Brandon mocked me while putting me on hold. When he came back from putting me on hold I asked him to speak to the manager which he told me I could not. Then when I asked him why he thought it was ok to speak to anyone that way he said he was sorry that I took his comment the wrong way. It should've been he was sorry for being rude.cannot believe how I was spoken too. I am not sure why this business would have anyone answering the phone like this. I am so disappointed. I am rarely someone who complains I am really that surprised. I work in the medical field now. I've worked in all customer service positions including restaurants and would never think of speaking to another human the way that he did. We decided we wouldn't buy dinner from them. Seriously some of the best pizza! Crust has that amazing brick oven flavor, and quality toppings you can tell are fresh. The pesto is so fresh you can tell it was make that same day. And the wings...oh man, the wings are incredible! They are smoked and you can taste the difference! Dry rub and chrispy outside, Smokey flavorful inside, makes for the perfect wing!
