Arrived with some friends on a Early Sunday afternoon. When we got in, the waitress greeted us and sat us in a booth. I would say the ambience there was pretty nice. There was inside and outside seating. The cool this is next to it there is this aviation museum which was pretty cool. Now to talk about the food. We ordered eggs Benedict, breakfast with sausage eggs hash brown and pancake, an omelet, biscuit and gravy, and a chicken fried steak, with eggs, hash, and toast. Whoa that's a lot of food. Eggs Benedict, THE EGG WAS NOT RUNNY!!! And the hollandaise sauce tasted a bit like just kraft cheese... The pancakes were pretty good. The chicken fried steak I didn't personally try but it was said to have too much batter around it. So the steak was pretty small and all you ate was a lot of batter. Biscuit and gravy was pretty good, better than some places. Everything was warm and fresh. The customer service was really good. read more

Very good food and very generous portions. It's our go-to place for Mother's Day, holiday, and birthday breakfasts.

It was Mother's Day today and our brunch was horrible, service was terrible. Waitress was very inattentive to our 10 person group. We made reservations for Mother's Day 3 weeks in advance and got a table thrown together for us in the middle of the buffet line! People were bumping into our family members and table constantly. Our "bottomless mimosas" were never brought to the table when we asked for more we paid extra for this mind you. The buffet food was cold and held no flavor. Everyone had an awful time. We left and still went to another restaurant right after to eat because we were hungry. Waste of money. Mother's Day was a flop. Never again will I go back to this place. Witnessing one of the workers coughing into her hands as she was placing silverware on a table next to us while not using gloves was the most disgusting horrible behavior Ive witnessed in a restaurant. We have eaten brunch here quite a few times now as we are regular visitors to the Santa Paula airport. Every time has been a treat. We love to sit on the patio and watch the air traffic. Serving sizes are HUGE, and the menu has plenty to choose from. Service has always been excellent, especially from the dark haired waitress with the beautiful coloured lilies tattooed on her arms. Pricing is competitive - the amount of food you get it is a steal! The chicken fried steak is a hit with us, as are the eggs benedict. Go, you can't go wrong. Have been going to this restaurant for many years. Recently changed hands. Ordered bacon and eggs and hashbrowns. The over easy eggs I order were fried crispy and yolks broken, potatoes were partially burned. Tried again a couple of weeks later, and I have to say the cook does not know how to cook eggs. We have relocated to the original Cafe 126 in Ventura where we can still get a good breakfast. My grandson stopped in the bar on the evening of Wednesday, April 20, 2022 for a glass of beer and something to eat. He said he was treated rudely. There were only a couple of people there. When he was ready to leave he could not get the attention of the people working there to get his bill. He said they ignored him. He walked out, then came back to pay. We had planned to go back Thursday night for Karaoke, but my grandson says he will never go back there again, that the people there were rude and disrespectful. read more

This is the only place for miles that knows how to make green chili. Order it on your breakfast burrito and it may be the best breakfast in Ventura county! On 4/12/22 my wife, our 3-year-old granddaughter and myself went to the Flight 126 Restaurante in Santa Paula. No one was at the reception desk as we entered. We took about 5 steps toward one of the dining areas to see if there were seats outside and if it was too breezy to eat outside. At that moment a heavy set, caucasian lady with blue hair and tattoos yelled from across to room for us to go back to the reception desk. How rude, if it wasn't for our granddaughters desire to see the airplanes I would have walked out the door and directly to one of the other wonderful Santa Paula restaurants. Just before our waitress had a chance to take our food order the same "lady" came over and publicly scolded the waitress for not being visible from the reception desk. Dining is so much about atmosphere. It's sad when one rude employee is allowed to continue her rude manners without being unchecked. If I had been the owner, she would have been required to offer a couple of apologies or self terminate. read more

I ordered a Reuben. It took forever to arrive and it was inedible. The meat was in rubbery heavily salted chunks instead of slices. The daily specials included scrambled eggs with pastrami. They were trying to get rid of food that was so bad that it could have sickened people. read more

Really great food and great breakfast. I'm usually not a huge complainer, but they were bussing dishes SO LOUDLY. The servers and bussers are literally SLAMMING things down back there. So loud, I'd jump every time they'd put something down. It wasn't necessary to be that loud. The service was meh. I work in a restaurant and understand if it gets busy that service is stretched thin, but there were only three tables, my water and drinks were never refilled, the server was distracted by conversations with staff. The place is kind of small, and if there's only three tables, we can all hear the inappropriate conversations. I'd hit Rabalais over here any day. read more

Nice venue but no air conditioning. My in laws were nice enough to throw me a beautiful baby shower at the 126 Cafe. For 2 hours of our party the air conditioning in the room where our guests were seated, magically stopped working. Making the party extremely uncomfortable. Although the AC was working in all the other rooms and the events manager ensured us that the AC would be on and working knowing it would be a hot day. At exactly 5pm, once we were packed and ready to go, the air conditioning miraculously turned on. It was so hot our chocolates and other sweets melted. read more

Santa Paulo's airport restaurant was actually our second choice. We had planned to grab one of Camarillo's delicious burger but upon approach learned it was closed for repairs. Our fab pilot mentioned the lack of traffic at lunchtime. We took off again to this great lil cubby hole of an airport. The approach was a blast dropping down in between the mountains to find this airport tucked away, and busy! My friends ordered the Chili Verde breakfast and I had the Corned Beef Hash. They make their own corned beef. I must say, my friends brunch was better. I should have known by the salivating coming from my friend seated across from me. She and her hubby frequent the place. Interesting tid bit, Steve McQueen reportedly lived in a green hangar at one end of the runway. I love the memorabilia hanging in the walls of the restaurant. Kinda takes you back to a simpler time. Great location at the small Santa Paula Airport ... I've been here quite a few times but never posted a review. This last occasion we had to sit outside due to the COVID issue. It was great ... the backdrop were a number of small planes - each with a different character. Most of them single-engine and most of them owned locally. Our waitress was attentive when more coffee was needed (we were a group of 4 guys meeting for a late social breakfast). Food quantities are country-style (plenty of grub). Among our group one person went for huevos rancheros; another for pancakes with eggs and bacon; another had oatmeal; and I can't remember what I had :) Oh well ... food was piping hot and tasty. No complaints from anyone. And prices are reasonable. Great setting, good service and good food. read more

Great little hidden, local spot. This town is REPLETE with chains. A small look anywhere along the main roads and you'll see national chains. Meh. You go a little bit off the main road, right next to the freeway and right on the airport and you'll find this great place. Food was absolutely great no complaints but was just told by host when we arrived to sit ourselves down which we didn't have a problem with but then we sat their and waited roughly 10 before anyone even came over and acknowledged us. Then waitress came over to take our order and it felt like she was being timed on how long she could talk to us. This is our go to place here in town we go every week sometimes up to three times a week because we absolutely love it. It is always packed but it moves fairly quick. All of the waitresses are really nice and friendly. There is a lady there I think its the Manager but shes always smiling and nice. THE FOOD IS AWESOME!!! We love the food. It is a smaller place..... but they have actually expanded recently and have the bar on the other side with open patio sitting and a place for parties as well. I also wish they were open for dinner because I would be there. We love this place with a passion and so do my children, they always finish their meals! A must try for everyone!! Yummy!! I can honestly say that it is our FAVORITE restaurant. I do wish they made huevos rancheros for breakfast because they make great eggs . They recently started making cold brewed coffee which tastes great! The hot coffee is not my favorite but it's okay..... I understand that not everybody likes it strong like me. read more

The wait time is ridiculous, they say 15 minutes and ends up being 30 to 45. I understand people want to eat and chit chat but when you have a line full of people waiting I think it's only proper to address the customers that are done with there meals to leave and let someone else sit. This has been the 4th time we've walked out. The first time we were sat outside which is fine, but then they sat a party of 8 behind us and the words that were coming out of their mouths were not the best choice of words may I say I have a 4 year old and she doesnt need to hear such vulgar language. After waiting for more than 30 minutes just to get our drinks we got up and told the hostess to forget our order and complain about the other customers, she was nice about it and apologized but overall I suggest going to Cafe 126 there sister restaurant. After reading a couple 2 star reviews on this place, I had to make my own. First off, I would never give any place a bad review because my egg wasn't runny or I'm pretending to be some kind of omelette connoisseur. Those types of people should stick to places that cost a hundred bucks a plate. I've been coming here for a couple years now and the food and friendly environment are the reason my girl and I keep coming back. I always get the eggs Benedict and it's very good every time. Nice runny eggs with great hollandaise sauce and perfectly crispy hash browns to go with it. My girl is always getting something different from pancakes to traditional breakfast, it's always perfectly cooked and tastes amazing. The staff is on top of things at all times no matter how busy the place gets. They are very friendly and always in good spirits. Great food, very friendly staff and a perfect view of the mountain side right on the Santa Paula airport. Definitely a top place in the county! read more
