Always enjoy a good meal at Flight Deck. I failed to get any pics this time...we were so busy talking and eating. But, what a great deal...3 of us shared an appetizer, Mac n cheese balls, entrees and drinks and our bill was just under $50 before tax & tip. Tonight's special, double burger with fries and a beer was only $10.00!!! What I really like about Flight Deck is the service; teamwork is always in play. Our server, Loretta did a great job and was well supported by her manager.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]What a fun place![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside of the Aviator Hotel, a themed bar with great deals and food options.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came for the happy hour special Tuesday-Saturday from 4-6pm with buy one get one free all beer, well cocktails or wine. [[HIGHLIGHT]]This was a fun start to the evening because on specific days events are held! Such as music trivia Wednesdays and Saturday game nights.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will definitely be returning!!

I had a gift certificate that was about ready to expire so I stopped by here to get some food to go. I ordered the fish and chips, taco salad, side ordered hush puppies, and Philly steak sandwich with fries. The food was OK nothing that wild me.. Just your typical average bar food. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was very underwhelming. It was so darn hot in there for June.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I don't know if their air conditioners were not working, but it was pretty miserable. Just waiting for my to go order was bad, let alone trying to sit there and eat. It used to be a fun place to go. They had all these flights that you can order for like beer, wine, mules. They do not have any draft beer anymore and their menu has totally changed, slim down quite a bit. The food that shows on the online menu is different than the menu when you actually get there. My waitress was very nice. I just felt sorry for her. It was so hot in there for her to be running all around and it appeared that she was the only waitress. She explained to me that the hotel/restaurant was recently bought out. She thought it was by Doubletree and they were redoing the hotel first then they would be redoing the restaurant. Considering they don't have draft beer anymore and they don't have flights anymore, I would think that the name Aviator is going to change as well. There was nothing special about this place, like before. I really doubt that I would be back. It used to be a fun place to go for a couple drinks and an appetizer after a day of shopping.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Very unique and interesting concept. It's aviation themed, so they mostly offer flights and regionally inspired items[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. There are drink flights and a variety of food in flight form. I ordered the mule flight, which was a regular vodka mule, tequila mule, and bourbon mule. All three are excellent. They also have an old fashioned flight, a wine flight, beer flights and more. The beer flight is three of their 4 draft selections. Not really diverse, but everything else sounds great. For starters, we ordered the wing flight, Mac n cheese flight, and devilled egg flight. Also available are french fry and slider flights. The Mac cheese is buttery with highlights of savory cheese. Very delicious. The flight offers fried Mac n cheese, regular Mac, and buffalo Mac n cheese. The fried is delicious with great texture. The buffalo is just their regular Mac with a drizzle of buffalo sauce. I'd have wanted a little more something to differentiate it, but the regular Mac is so good it's nice to just get more of it. The wing flight was good, but I've certainly had better wings. They did have a decent size and we're juicy. They offer three flavors, buffalo, BBQ, and honey garlic. The honey garlic is different and fresh, and was quite tasty. The buffalo and BBQ were pretty standard, but still good. I'd like to see more variety and interesting flavors here. The highlight of the starters is by far the deviled eggs. These were simply phenomenal. The flavors are traditional, BBQ, and buffalo. The traditional deviled egg doesn't have any sweetness like pickles, and is very creamy and savory. Some people are particular about their eggs, so I wanted to specify. The BBQ adds pulled pork and barbecue sauce. Definitely elevates the dish to something special. My favorite was the buffalo. It had buffalo sauce and ranch. I will crave these in my sleep. For a main, we split the STL BBQ connection. This includes BBQ pork steak, toasted ravioli, smoked sausage, and gooey butter cake. We also ordered a side of biscuits. The toasted ravioli were some of the best I've had. They have a great flavor and were the perfect not too chewy not too crispy texture. The smoked sausage was incredibly juicy and delicious. The pork steak was ... Not bad. Look, the bar is set very high for pork steak in St Louis. I found the BBQ sauce to be a bit not what I want on a pork steak. It's spice forward with something like paprika or cumin. The steak itself was tender enough, but not incredibly so like the best pork steaks are. The steak is very thin, but it comes with a variety of other food, so the portion is fine. The biscuits sounded good. However, we got 2 biscuits for $4. Small ones. And, they're nothing special. It's just bread really. Finally, we ended the meal with the gooey butter cake. The only food more storied than pork steaks in STL. The competition is fierce. This gooey butter lives up to anything you can find in St Louis. It might be my favorite. Yes seriously. I don't know if it's brought in or made in house, but this is what you want when you think gooey butter cake.

Amazing!!! We were looking for a new place to try and stumbled on this place. The service was great and the food was phenomenal. We got three different flights to try. The deviled eggs were amazing as well as the mac n cheese. We are going to be back for more amazing food!

This place is incredible you have to try it! A try hidden gem of south county! The prices here are amazing and make me feel comfortable with what I'm buying. You have to try the egg flight!!! Loved the buffalo one. Wings were great as well. The strawberry salad was absolutely fantastic! I love the chef here I want to try all his cooking! So yummy! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Great service and decorations.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

What a cool idea for a restaurant, I love all the flight options! We want to come back and try the others, fun for a group to enjoy! We had great service even through their rush dinner time. I ordered the mule flight but would probably try different drinks next time.

Can't wait to go back! What a hidden gem. Friday night meant that a drink flight and a meal flight together are only $15. Drinks were well made, even perhaps a little strong but at least we got our money's worth! The sliders and wings were delicious, but the fries were the star of the show. The truffle fries and the garlic aioli are to die for. I would eat them again and again. The atmosphere was so nice. It was quiet, friendly, and I can't understand why it wasn't packed. Seriously can't wait to take more people to experience it all!!

Such a hidden gem for a weeknight happy hour! Happy hour is from 4-6 all weekdays and on Wednesdays from 7-9 they have music trivia and bingo, such a great time with friends. The food was surprisingly good, service was alright but I thought it was slower than it should've been considering there was only 10 tables in the place. We can't wait to come back

British Bar INSIDE a "British designed hotel", so I had my hopes probably heightened more that it should have with my previous British bar results. I went in thinking British craziness and got a "Edgar Allen Poe" feel... But I'm going to say this was NOT what I was expecting. First and foremost, your eyes are going to need adjusting. Plain and simple, it felt more like a dark ... room? (Part of the problem I think is that as it was already June, you can forget using the fireplace to lighten the room up) so it felt.. "Small", and I"m going to feel weird saying this... "Romantic Horrorfest". Wait, before you go "wha??", this isnt' necessarily a bad thing. The Taxidermy , the photos on the wall. the fireplace. the VERY (and I mean VERY) dim lighting... The limited seating on the main floor, the one door in and out it had a "wooden cabin feel".. Yes, if you had a wonderful romantic film and it was suddenly invaded by some monster villain... This where it would take place and it would be perfect. (See I can find positive things to say about things i wasn't looking for) As for the service, apparently (going back to the Romantic filmfest), I was struggling to get any attention for the bartendress, cause I guess I was solo'ing by myself, and because of how I wasn't able to get the bartendress attention... I kinda felt like an unwanted customer in a place more for couples or friends getting together which had me leaving shortly thereafter, so no real food score (although I will say, much like Oh London ,the menu wasn't really much to work through...), Anyway, no TV's, no world cup game on the air.. just like I said a vibe of a cabin in a "romantic movie, where the monsters lurk". And Apologies for some of the iffy pictures, it just didn't feel right using a flash on the camera in such a secluded locale) and like I said, it wasnt' what I was expecting (rowdy British fans watching the local club or something), but there's something about it that even i have to admit, would make this location a nice "date night" or "out with friends' location, more so than just a single person looking for a nightcap. (And Maybe there really is a monster hiding in the fireplace, to keep the "Horror" feel going?? :)

I ordered their pork chop, which came with asparagus and layered potatoes. The pork chop was served with a chutney sauce made from apricot, black, and golden raisins. This pork chop is somewhat unique to St. Louis; it's a huge bone-in chop, nothing in Naples, FL can compare. My chop was cooked perfectly. Now, as to never being here, I am exiting the building. There is a small dining area with an Irish band playing. I turned to my son and said I had been here before, pointed to the table I sat at, and told him I had Irish stew. I had the Irish cheese sandwich, Justin went with the corned beef -- and both were genuinely good. Comforting, hearty, and exactly what you hope for in a pub meal. Now... the kitchen was moving a bit slow this visit. Was it noticeable? Yes. Was it worth the wait? Also yes. Because Sam -- the female bartender -- absolutely made the experience. Fun, engaging, and the kind of personality that makes you feel like you're already a regular even if it's your first visit. That kind of service turns a "slow day" into a good memory. Being a firecracker myself, I ordered the Firecracker Smashburger. It's a single patty, with Pepper Jack Cheese, Tomato-Onion-Jalapeno Relish, Drizzled with a Tangy Fire Ranch and served on a Martin's Potato Roll. The burger was juicy and had those crispy edges that a smash burger is known for. My favorite cheese is Pepper Jack, so that was a big plus for me. The relish added that extra kick that made it a true, Firecracker. I can't enjoy a burger without fries and Jack offers long skinny fries. They had a crispy shell and a soft hot inside. They were simply seasoned with just the right amount of salt. I was impressed that the ketchup was 100% Natural. That gets a big thumbs up. When enjoying a burger and fries, a nice cold beer is always the adult beverage of choice. JN offers a small variety of craft beers on draft and three popular Anheuser-Busch products. I enjoyed a Gumballhead from 3 Floyds Brewing. An American Pale Wheat is a perfect lunchtime beer. The bartenders are personable and offer warm service.
