Had an amazing experience here on Saturday evening with my son. The staff is extremely friendly at the front desk .....although I forgot the workers name working reception she was very warming. Took my son here because he has a strong interest in aviation so his aunt and grandma had gotten him the Boeing 737 experience as a Christmas gift. We paid for the 30min flight just to make sure he'd like it... I forget where we flew but it was truly amazing. The instructor we had was Christopher who was extremely informative and professional. He guided my son all the way from start up to landing and explained everything in full detail. And after the flight he even recommended schools for my son to start his training which he can't wait to do since the flight we took there. I was so amazed and impressed I gave Christopher a hug in front of all the workers hopefully I didn't embarrass him. I recommend this place to anyone with kids who shares an interest in aviation. What a really great time! I had a free day and stumbled upon this fun experience and did two fighter missions back to back. At first I was concerned if it would be fun since it was just me, I didn't come with a group, but I was able to join some others and we got shooting each other in no time. The older man at check in was extremely rude and hostile, and within 5 minutes of checking in the guests a confrontation occurred with one of the guests whom he disrespected. When called out for his behavior, this staff member tried to act innocent and confused. Extremely rude, uncalled for, and unprofessional behavior by this older man. Such a shame, the rest of the staff was wonderful. As for the experience, it was fun and the staff made it enjoyable. Took off two stars for this man's behavior, I am appaled that someone of his temper decided to work customer service. Shameful. read more

Really cool space with flight and racing sims. The triple monitor setup and forcefeedback seats and racing wheel were fun. No manual stick shift, just paddles which is ok. I think they're running Assetto Corsa? They qualify you on the redbull ring and take you to nurburgring. You qualify in a miata then get to pick your final car after. All in fun experience, good for group who want to kill an hour. Only downside is I feel like the forcefeedback system would definitely benefit rallyx, but the guys managing said it would be a possibly in the future. Didn't get to try out the flight sim stuff but looked interesting. Will def be back. read more

Highly recommend you book online to reserve your spot. It's simple and they will send you an email with a calendar invite to remind you. The check in process was simple, you just scan in your code and your group is all checked in. Just make sure you show up about 15 minutes before your scheduled time. Once you are checked in, you are brought back to the waiting area. It has several monitors for you to watch from the pilot's POV. You are then taken into a briefing room and they explain the mechanics of flying, weapons training. This took about 15-20 minutes. After the briefing\training we were offered the option to change into flight suits. None of us did, we were too eager to get into our pods. You climb into a full size mock up and the canopy does close. The canopy is clear but I don't know how some people would react if they were claustrophobic. You don't feel claustrophobic but you are in an enclosed space. The cockpit had a full mock up of all the dials and switches. There is a height restriction of 4'11" but I think if someone is slightly shorter, they have to acknowledge their view might be partially block from the cockpit and it might diminish their experience. We all took off and did some target practicing. Once everyone got accommodated we started the dog fight. That 30 minutes went by fast, during the dog flight, the control tower will call out the kills and give tips and guide the pilots to the other jets. After the dog fight, you get 2 chances to land. After you land, you go back out to the waiting area and they go over the results and let you know wo is Top Gun. The staff is great about greeting you, training you, guiding you, and assisting you with getting in and out of the cockpit. I will probably try the 737 next time. Highly recommended. read more

My boyfriend is super interested in flying so I booked the fox 1 for the both of us & the 30 minute Boeing 737 for him. The morning started off kinda hectic as our lyft driver got a tad lost picking us up,so we arrived about 8 minutes late. Which technically it was more then that considering they say to be there 10 minutes before. I decided to call & let them know & lucky for us the girl let me know we would be fine as long as were not more then 10 minutes late. We walked in & the other 2 people who also booked for that time were already in the room getting the briefing. Luckily we didnt miss much. I'm gonna be honest, it was a lot of information to consume for someone like me who knows nothing about flying. It was even harder to retain being that we had been getting up early & going to sleep late. Don't get me wrong his instructions were very thorough,but even the person explaining it could tell I was a bit hesitant. So they help us into our aircrafts & things get started. Yes,there was a walkie talkie system to where we could ask questions, but there was no way I was gonna ask them for help every single minute. I struggled quite a bit navigating my plane as I just could not grasp how sensitive the steering was. It is very sensitive & I was always overturning causing my plane to do 360's spiraling into the ground. Then came the battling part where we could shoot our opponents, I just could not seem to keep my plane in the area where everyone else's was. It kept drifting off in it's own direction which usually ended in me crashing again. I must've crashed mine a good 10+ times. The people in the tower kept having to callout aircraft 305 to help me navigate around. We then got our scores, yup it was like school when you know you did bad on a test & you don't even want to see your score. Yes, ya girl got 2 points. I must've just got lucky firing my weapons off & randomly got someone twice. The top person got 24. Didn't even nail my landings I crashed into the ground twice. Onto the Boeing, I got to sit in the back & watch my boyfriend fly into LAX & the south Korean airport. That was pretty neat, I could definitely tell it took a lot more strength to steer & a lot more attention was needed to the dashboard. The technology was pretty neat, how the instructor could choose not only the airport but also the time of year & season he'd be flying in all through the computer. All in all it was a very neat experience. Don't worry I don't have any plans on becoming a pilot. Pretty sure my boyfriend loved it! read more

Price ranges from 100$ per 30min to 360$ for 2 hours of flying with several take-offs and landings in a wide selection of scenarios. The visit starts with an instruction session (fabulous instructor!) before getting seated at the controls. Combined with realistic video simulation, one gets the entire perception of truly operating the plane (except that there are none of the haptic impressions of a professional flight simulator). Of course, there is a reason why the professional simulators are several thousands of dollars more expensive per use and virtually inaccessible to the public. But this affordable alternative is as close as one could get and definitely worth it! PS: 1) Other programs are available at the place such as fighter jets etc. 2) Since the place is close to the Anaheim Angeles Stadium, access during or around game time may be a challenge. read more

*This is for the F-16 fighter jet simulation Got the groupon for the flight simulator, not sure it would be worth the original price of $60 but it was definitely fun! PARKING: It wasn't hard to find, it's in a business looking plaza with plenty of parking and a sign on the side of the building. TRAINING: The training consists of going and getting your flight suit, made me feel really legit and then going into a classroom with a powerpoint and a model joystick to practice with. I think I was a little apprehensive because I wasn't sure if they were gonna embarass us or make fun of us or yell at us like real recruits or something but they were all really nice and helpful. They know we are there to have fun and usually have little to no experience and in general give us the instructions needed just to get our best experience and know the basics to survive, haha. Our instructor showed us how to take off, land, make turns and how to shoot each other. You play dog fight style which means that everyone is against each other, no teams (unless you choose to team up). The training lasted about 20-30 minutes. SIMULATION: After the training you go to the simulation room. It's a huge room with around 10-12 simulation cockpits/pods and each person gets assigned their own number and pod. You climb in and settle inside with a throttle to your left and your joystick to the right. You don't use anything else. You're given a headset and can talk to everyone else playing but it is heard by everyone, so be aware haha. The "traffic control" person is the person who kind of helps and guides you along the way. You begin with a take off and then fly around a little getting used to things. It's not that hard (especially for someone who doesn't play video games and is kind of clueless) but beware the traffic control person does call you out (by plane number) and will tell you/help you but everyone else can hear, sometimes it's a little embarrassing but for the most part it's pretty funny. After you get used to it you start to fight, honestly it's kind of hard to maneuver and figure out how to fire stuff (you only get 6 missiles) but you get unlimited bullets. The landing, in my opinion was the hardest part. You get four tries, and even if you're successful in the first one you have to go through all of them. The first two are during the day, the last two at night time. They set you up and you just have to be able to land the plane, sounds easy right? Haha...easier said than done, you need to be at the right speed, with your flight marker on the right section and make sure you brake correctly etc. All in all, it's difficult to pull it all together and not damage your landing gear and blow up..hah...needless to say, I failed 3/4 times. Afterwards you get a sheet of paper with all of the names and how many kills, deaths, and landing success you had etc. It was pretty fun and they let you go back and take pictures etc. Watch Top Gun beforehand to get pumped up ;) read more

Took the husband there for his birthday, and he had a blast! Lindsay was very helpful with the scheduling, and Cassandra at the front desk is super sweet and helpful. The instructor for the first flight, James, was great, as was the instructor Henry for the second flight. The instructions and procedures/all the things you have to do in the simulator are a little complicated, so younger kids may have a bit of trouble negotiating the flight simulator, but middle-schoolers should be ok. The price per flight is very reasonable. Definitely something to try, and this is definitely the place to do it! read more

My husband and I went to this flight simulation center to fly our fighter jets in the sky. We finally used our LivingSocial vouchers! It seems like most people who come here use a voucher or some sort. Maybe the full price is just too much? Either way, we had a pretty good time here. They start relatively 'on time' based on your appointment start time. You're whisked into the training command center, learn the ropes on how to fly a plane, get suited up (if you want), and then jump into the cockpit. There were too many instructions to remember; I started to get confused. haha. My husband had a good time, I did as well although my heart was pounding so much during the entire flight simulation. Since this place is close to Disneyland - I think this entertainment center is a good substitute for Disneyland if you only want to do something for a couple hours. :) read more

Tried the Boeing 737 30mins flight today, the overall experience was great. The instructor, David, who was a retired Delta pilot, was very knowledgeable and patient. Ask as many questions as you like no matter how dumb the question is:) The package includes orientation (which might sound easy for people who are experienced, but it is totally new to me ) and 30 mins flight that almost came to 2 hrs total. (we had two people, so I did the full flight experience from LAX-SNA) while my friend was only able to circle around the airport due to the time limit) It is more difficult than you could image. I almost crashed (I guess I should play video games more). I was a little nervous at the beginning but thanks to David that I would able to have fun while learning. Their Fox-1 mission combat looks fun too. might try it next time read more

Thanks to YouTube, I've become an avid fan of Flight Simulation. I remember seeing a video about a virtual cockpit in real life many years ago, and went on a Google search to see if one was in the greater Los Angeles area. Sure enough, FlightDeck in Anaheim was one such example of a virtual cockpit complete with Flight Simulator. Naturally, as someone who wanted to "experience realism," I went with the 737 simulation. I had played FSX Steam Edition with a mouse yoke before, so I had some of the basic concepts of aviation down. FlightDeck, however, takes simulation to the next level. Not only have the staff heavily modified the existing software of FSX to make for more realistic physics, but they also have very realistic controls that come with feedback. The yoke responds to different movements you make, the spoilers can be armed and activated on landing, and things such as setting N1 as well as a fully functional FMS system are a part of the experience. My FlightDeck experience was awesome. My flight instructor gave me options as to what I wanted to do, and I decided to get a VOR navigation tutorial. To be honest, it went by so fast that I was rather confused, but the experience was still amazing. Although the 737 had a flight director, I was asked to hand fly the whole way, which was quite fun, and quite different from flying with a mouse yoke. I was not used to the yoke, which made adjusting the jet for landing rather challenging. I did not line up on center line, but fortunately I did end up on the runway on both my landings without crashing. I have to admit, I am super biased towards this type of stuff as I am into flight simulation. Still, I highly recommend FlightDeck to anyone who wants to try something different and exciting. read more

I fly a lot for work so my experience at Flightdeck in the 737 simulator gave me interesting and eye opening insight into what is going on in the cockpit. My experience started with a tour of all the controls (I never knew a 737 had a "steering wheel"... I thought that what the rudder pedals were for). We started the flying portion with a quick SNA-LAX hop. My instructor allowed me to choose the next flight so I elected DEN-EGE (mountains look ominous from the front). The final flight was the famed checkerboard approach into the old Chiang Kai Shek airport (hats off to aviators who were certified to do that approach). Amazing experience. This was the second time I had purchased the 737 experience for my husband. This time around, he wanted to have some type of disaster scenario brought up during his experience. To make sure this was possible, I called them TWICE to confirm that it even was a possibility. I was told yes and to just have my husband call beforehand, after purchasing the ticket, what kind of disaster he wanted to work on during his experience. With this knowledge, I purchased the ticket. He called the day before and spoke to the front desk specifying that he wanted a disaster scenario thrown in during his 1-hour time block. Although his instructor was knowledgeable, my husband ended up doing the exact same thing he did when he first experienced the 737 at Flight Deck - there was no disaster scenario placed in, even with us calling several times to confirm this can be done. It's $200, if I knew the instructor didn't care about what the customer wanted, then I wouldn't have purchased another experience. After all was said and done, the instructor even said "oh well we didn't have enough time for the disaster scenario..." The first time my husband did this, it was an amazing experience; however, we were both disappointed this time around. I am giving three stars based on a combination of our first and last experience. The simulator itself is great, but they need to listen to their customers' requests. read more

So much potential but fell WAY short. We were excited to put on the jumpsuits, pick our names and head into tdisappointed. Like we saw online... but there were no suits, no call names to pick and the graphics were terrible. Also, our "trainer" spoke a mile a minute. Noone understood him so we were all confused. I love this place! I took my dad and some friends to the old location pre-pandemic. I came back and tried the new location at the Garden Walk this weekend with my wife and kids after recently catching the latest Top Gun movie and wanting to get some dogfighting in! I like this location better, although it's a tad smaller. The staff is great and you get the how-to before you jump in the cockpit and fly for 30 minutes. It's great fun to smack talk your friends or the enemy when you're flying and trying to shoot them down. All-in-all a great time. Another post-pandemic change, I assume, is they don't have you pick and wear a flight suit. I thought that kinda added to the authenticity of the experience, but no big deal. My wife and daughter bought the 30-minute 737 session for my birthday. The staff was fantastic and the check in process was quick and easy. I spoke to the owner who was also a very nice guy. Before I knew it, I was behind the yoke with my copilot setting up for my session. The cockpit was spot on in every way and well maintained. I can't describe how much fun it was not only for me but for my wife and daughter as the watched. I'm a flight sim nerd but anyone who comes to fly here will have a great time! I would highly recommend anyone who flight sims at home to come and do a flight. It would also be a blast for night out even if you are not into flight simming. The prices are very reasonable, and I think you get great return on the investment. I will be coming back in the very near future to try one of the longer flight options. Came here with my husband on Sunday for the Fox 1 fighter jet simulation ($59 each, but we had a groupon. By the way, the fox 1 is great for beginners, but there are other flight types you could try) at 11:30 am (1st run of the day). We actually got to the Flightdeck center at 11 am and so we checked in and just kind of hung out until it was time for us to start. When we first came in, we were immediately greeted by the girl at the front desk and one of the flight instructors. They were pretty friendly and told us we could walk around and take as many photos as we want, which we did. The girl at the front desk even offered to take photos of us together, which was really nice of her to do so. When it was time for our adventure to begin, we were escorted to the life support room to suit up in jumpsuits. You can hang up your jacket or sweater on the rack if you don't want to wear it under your jumpsuit. But there is no where for you to put your purse if you bring one (well you could bring it with you when you get into one of those flight simulator planes, but the space is a bit small in there). After everyone put on their jumpsuits, we walked over to the briefing room and was instructed on how to steer (which was much harder for me than I thought it would be). Our instructor was really nice and friendly and patience with our group of people (you are with other people, up to 10 people I believe for the fox 1 flight jet thing). He was really good at explaining how to turn, steer, shoot missiles, etc. It was also helpful of him to use a model jet to show what happens when you pull back the joystick or turn it up or down, etc. Then after our lesson, everyone walked over to where the flight simulators were and got in. If you are claustrophobic, you don't have to have the windshield of the jet go down. There is also an air vent so it doesn't get too stuffy and you can also turn it if you don't want the vent to blow air right at you. By the way, the flight simulator planes/ jets are stationary, so don't worry about rolling or feeling the movement when you go to the left and such. But since you are looking at a really large projector screen, you may get a headache if you keep turning and turning for 45 minutes straight. We had a sound check for our head phones and mics and then had a chance to practice flying and turning. Then after that, we went into the dog fight. Basically in this mission, your main objective is to pretty much kill everyone else (via missiles or by the machine gun). At the end, you also get to practice landing 4 times (2 during the day and 2 during the night). Total, the entire time (including suiting up and instruction) takes about 90 minutes. I had a TON of fun and was really surprised that I was actually able to kill a few other planes and make turns and such. I am by no means a pro but was proud to get through it. Honestly, during the instruction, I didn't think I was going to be able to turn and kill anyone, lol. But of all the females in our group, I had the most kills. My husband had the most kills of the entire group (but this is his 2nd time coming and my 1st time). I know all of this because each person in the group gets a print out of how everyone did at the end (worthy to frame and hang on the wall, why not?). Overall, I would HIGHLY recommend anyone to come check this out because it is just so different and just an awesome place to go with your friends, significant other, or just yourself because you are playing with a group of people anyway. And if you are the top gun of the day, you earned bragging rights for the next few days. Oh and by the way, there is plenty of parking in the parking lot and there are clean female & male restrooms. This place is an easy find, located right off the 57 freeway. read more

I came here to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. She wanted to do something new and we have been talking about coming here to try out Fox 1. So we decided to come here and give it a shot. I called the night before to make an appointment for early morning at 11AM. The best part is that it was during the week so it's not busy at all. It was just the two of us which we like. The first part is that we go into a room with an instructor who teaches us some things about flying which is pretty cool. You get to learn some things. They also teach you the controls. The class is about 30 minutes. After that, you get to go to another room where they have the simulators ready for you. You get to go into a cockpit of the plane. The only thing I was sad about was that I thought these were going to be in motion and move around when you are doing the simulator. I was super excited to feel the motion and roll around when I do a barrel roll, but too bad it doesn't move. Other than that, i thought the prop was pretty cool! You have different buttons around and it feels like you are actually in a jet. The first thing you do in the simulator is take off and then they sorta walk you through how to turn and what not. Then you get to do a dogfight against your friends or significant others or whoever is in that room. In my case, it was my girlfriend. After the dogfight, you get to land the jet. You get 2 tries to land the jet. I always find it hard to land a plane for any games I play. My first land - i damaged the plane. The second land - i was able to successfully land the plane. After that, you get to see your score! I got 30 points and my girlfriend got 11 points! I should have let her win because it was her birthday. Personally, i think the price is a bit pricy - seeing that the cockpit doesn't move with the game or your controls. I wish it did. It would have made it more exciting. If your cockpit was able to move with your controls then I would definitely say it was worth it and would recommend it to people. Too bad that it doesn't move with your controls or the plane in the game. This was definitely a new experience for me. I don't know if I would do fox 2 and 3 knowing that the cockpit doesn't move and how expensive this is. The pictures that others took made it look like it moves, but sadly they don't. read more

The 737 flight simulator wasn't nearly as realistic as other reviewers would lead you to believe. My flight "instructor" was young enough to be my grandson, and had never flown anything bigger than a Cessna 172. Overall, this was an "okay" experience but not worth the money. read more

Surprised my husband with the fighter jet simulation. We had such a great time. The instructor was a doll. She was patient with our questions and encouraged them. Once we were in flight we had 3 flight operators guiding us through the entire simulation via headsets. I loved having them there. It added to the experience making it seem more real and they also helped when we were having trouble maneuvering the jet. I brought my boyfriend here for his birthday since he is such a huge Top Gun fan. Flight Deck met and exceeded my expectations! The only negative- time really does fly by when you're having fun! The staff was super friendly and very informative. You do need to call ahead to make a reservation for your flight. When you arrive, you check in and pay at the front then sit in the waiting area until your reservation time. As you're waiting, you can see and hear the flights that are currently in session. When it's time, your instructor will take you into a briefing room for a basic flight lesson. After that, you have the option to suit up in a flight suit. Seriously, just do it!! It seriously enhances the experience! Then it's time to fly! The staff will help you into replica cock pits and set up your radio. Then it's take off time. The staff works as flight control in your ear and helps you along the way. Once you've mastered your turns (basic and simple) it's time for the dog fight! Before I knew it, time was up! After the first briefing i knew right away i had to have my sister I join him so we jumped onto the Fox 2 session. The setup is immaculate, the people there love what they do and it shows. Everything was clean and the way you get immersed into the atmosphere is unreal. Once inside the sims, the sound, feeling, and experience is truly amazing, really lives up to expectations. The whole experience is about 90mins they do a quick 20min intro into how everything works in the flight stimulator with controls and you get to dress up as well! It makes the whole experience even better. After that they help you get in and you do a test run so you can try out the controls. It basically took me the whole flight time to really get comfortable with my controls ( but I'm super uncoordinated ) but it really isn't that hard. It's a great activity for friends! The prices aren't that bad at all for the experience. Only thing is I wish we went with more ppl since it was just the two of us we could only talk to each other. I was accepted into the LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Arts) program, Veterans Make Movies. A Korean American Combat veteran had the vision to create a film about a Military Escort, in response to a youtube video he'd seen that troubled him. I listened to my brother's vision, and I dove in helping him tell his story. I wrote the script, we cast the actors, and we needed a location... The Director, Greg Hwang, found this company, and though I felt it was a long shot, I reach out to the home office in Colorado. The company was excited about the opportunity, and gave us the phone number to the Anaheim location. I corresponded with a true professional, Paul, via email, who was also excited to have our team on location. We were given a date and two and a half hour time slot to accomplish our mission. Finding the place was no problem, and from the moment we walked in, our heads were in the clouds. There is ample parking. The facility is immaculately clean, and the staff were sent from above. Our operator, Casper, was the epitome of professional, yet personal, very diligent, and sensitive to our needs. Our project soars above even our expectations, and we cannot wait to return to the clouds.
