Lunch today was at Flinchy's in Camp Hill. I originally planned to try their PhillyPhilly cheesesteak, but at $20? Not in Camp Hill. Maybe I'd take that gamble in Philly, but here -- I'm not risking $20 on what might be a mediocre cheesesteak. If you've had it and think I'm wrong, let me know. So instead, I went with my second choice: wings. Market price today was $10 for 10 wings, which seemed fair. I ordered the mango habanero. They came out crispy, but not fully coated in sauce. The sauce itself was just okay -- not quite hot enough, and it lacked a distinctive flavor. Unless someone convinces me that the $20 cheesesteak is actually worth it, I probably won't be back.

I've been there three times in the last 5 or so months. I really like their sandwiches and I am a sucker for house-made potato chips (and theirs are great!) Most recently I got their Twisted Turkey sandwich. I had to ask for mayo with it since it had no type of sauce like their other sandwiches do. It was good. During a previous visit I got their Italian Panini and that's been my favorite sandwich from there. I've also tried their Squeaky Cheese appetizer and it's really good. Melty cheese with sriracha ranch- yes! Flinchy's has turned into one of our favorite places to go on Sundays (when the rest of the Harrisburg area is closed.)

Stopped in for the Philly Philly special ... cheese steak and slaw at the bar with a pint, for $10. Speedy service and Morgan is a great bar tender! The deck is a great place to hangout with some regulars and enjoy an afternoon.

Went here for date night this was a place my coworker always talked about we sat at the bar the bartender was attentive and the food and drinks were good I would love to come back and try other menu items and maybe sit where it's open to the outside.

Slightly overcooked wings. With $1.50 extra for blue cheese and celery.

A little wary to try Flinchy's because the prices on some things seemed unusually high for what is cheap food. But, it was the most convenient stop for a spouse who'd just finished fasting and was starving. Pulled in after 3, so between lunch and dinner. Some patrons, but not busy. Staff was friendly enough, but not really attentive. Wife got crab cake sandwich. Needed to wait for extra tartar sauce and mayo to be brought out since it was okay but dry. She said it needed more seasoning/flavor, too. I got wings. Somewhat overcooked. Not terrible, just not great. Also took surprisingly long for the food to come out given the limited number of people eating. Got there just after 3; didn't leave until 4:30. Cost for two people- $64.51 plus tip. That price included $29 for two glasses of wine and a cocktail. It'll fit the bill if you're in need, but at the price, pace, and food quality, I don't recommend it.

BEWARE. CHECK YOUR BANK STATEMENTS IF PAYING WITH A CARD HERE. We came to Flinchy's on Saturday night to grab a drink. Although decently priced, we paid for the drinks with a card and left a cash tip (way above 20%, let me add), clearly stating on the signed receipt it was a cash tip, before leaving. Then we receive this alert that the bartender attempted to add an over 300% tip to our bill. We will not be back and we are warning all of our friends. Please be aware and check your statements!!!

My friend wanted to go somewhere new to celebrate her 60th birthday. It took her a while to find a place. She chose this place is because of the Hot Rock plates. She and her husband went to Aruba for a 25th wedding anniversary had the best steak on a hot rock plate in Aruba. So wanted to try here. Flinchy's didn't disappoint. Ava was the sweetest server. Polite, attentive, gave suggestions on the menu. We chose Brussel sprouts and fried cauliflower as appetitizers. Oh my goodness, they were delicious. For dinner, we chose filet mignon on the hot rock, crab cakes and Chesapeake burger. Steak on the hot rock was the best. Unique and fun experience cooking it at table side to your liking. Crab cakes have no filler. Hamburger was great tasting also. Definitely recommended and will return.

Service was attentive and kind. Full bar options and drinks were great. Got the crab ceviche tostadas and they were delicious and a lot of food for the price

It was a decent lunch. Our server was AJ, he was polite, welcoming and accommodating. The food was decent, not the best I've had, but not the worst. The seafood soup was very good. It reminded me of a Cream of Crab. French Onion soup was good, but the base was mild in flavor for this soup and seemed thinned out from other times I've had it (which was 2 years ago). We ordered a couple other things, but nothing was off the charts amazing. A return visit?...I could go either way.

Time for an update and to counter all of the BS negative reviews some folks (probably only one or…read moretwo people using multiple accounts) decided to leave on this fine establishment's page. Anyone who knowingly goes into a smoking bar/restaurant and is bothered or offended by smoke should not have gone inside in the first place...Or immediately left. In my previous review, I took off one star for this, but upon reflection, it's not fair to knock the business simply for what they do, which is cater to a clientele that smokes. I hate cigarette smoke but keep coming back...hmm, wonder why??? It's like taking off a star because a restaurant serves pork (something you might not like, consume, or even want to smell!). WTH? We've been stopping here a lot lately for weekday lunch, especially taco Tuesday. Great deals on really amazing tasting food-the reason I keep coming back!!! Always a drink special and plenty of daily food specials. There was one time our server had a bitch-face and her attitude sucked, but pretty sure she's long-gone. And if ever there was any issue with service or the food, I know for a fact the owner or manager would correct the issue on the spot. So, if there's a problem, give the business a chance to make it right, don't be a d!ck, and your issue will likely go away. Leaving a bad review after the fact does nothing to solve the problem you had, so why bother? Over the years I've grown to love "The Madre" and you will too. If you can handle the the smoke...

Naturally, I had already done my due diligence (read: stalked the menu for a full week) and had a game plan. At the top of my list? The deviled eggs and the Kale Caesar salad with salmon. The only problem...I absolutely did not need $40 worth of food for lunch. So I quietly spent the week putting "deviled egg energy" out into the Universe, hoping my lunch partner would suggest splitting them. Manifestation is real, people. I arrived around 12pm and found plenty of parking out back in Watershed's designated lot, which is clearly labeled--a good thing, because parking in that area looks like it could get competitive if you're not paying attention. We had made a 12:15pm reservation (Monday lunch felt safe, but why risk it?), and our table on the enclosed patio was ready when we arrived. It was the perfect setup--sunny and bright, but still warm enough to be comfortable on a chilly day. The vibe was great, and our server was even better--friendly, attentive, and consistently checking in without being overbearing. Then it was time to order. I let my lunch partner go first and waited... "Do you want to try the deviled eggs as an appetizer?" Are you kidding me?!. YES. Yes, I did! We ordered the deviled eggs ($11) to share, and I followed through with my Kale Caesar salad ($15) topped with seared salmon (+$13), officially completing my week-long menu-stalking mission. The deviled eggs came out FAST, and in my excitement, I completely forgot to take a picture--which tells you everything you need to know. Each egg was topped with a cube of candied bacon that absolutely stole the show. Sweet, savory, and just the right texture to complement the creamy filling. We made quick work of all four--excellent start to the meal! Not long after, our lunches arrived, and my salad? Gorgeous. Like, actually exciting to look at. I dug in immediately and it delivered. The mix of shaved brussels sprouts, kale, and romaine gave it great texture, the dressing was well-balanced, and the red onion didn't overpower the rest of the flavors. But my favorite part? The garlic parmesan crouton crumble. No chasing rogue croutons around the plate--just perfectly distributed crunch in every bite. Genius! The portion size was generous, too--I made it through about half before calling it and boxing the rest for dinner later. By the time we were wrapping up, the enclosed patio had filled up significantly, which tells me this is a popular lunch spot--and for good reason. The food is solid, the atmosphere is great, and the service was spot on. That said...$40 for deviled eggs, a salad and water is a bit steep for an everyday lunch. For me, this feels more like a "treat yourself," client meeting, or special occasion kind of place rather than a regular rotation spot. Would I come back? Absolutely. Would I be casually popping in every week? Probably not. But those deviled eggs? Totally worth manifesting!
