Love the concept of this cute shop!! I am a sucker for photo booths and it's the perfect cherry on top that they have a delicious menu too. I was in the area around breakfast time (10:00 AM) and the Source was practically empty, which is what I was hoping for during COVID. The menu consists of several Eggflip sandwiches, which all have a fluffy scrambled egg and thick milk bread. They also have Dalgona styled coffees and various fruit teas. I went for something simple and got the Ham & Cheese Sandwich. Not bad for about less than $7! It was really flavorful! I especially loved the mayo sauce that they drizzled on it. It gave it a creamy and tangy taste. I would definitely order it again! My only critique is that the sandwich is difficult to eat since it is so thick in width. I could not get the sandwich to fit in my mouth LOL They have 3 photobooths and they are really cute! Very well lit with LED lights too. Each booth is very spacious and they allow you to take off your face mask once you're inside the enclosed space. (We opted to keep our masks on just to be safe though). The booth costs $5 and you get two pastel pink photo strips printed from a Canon printer. You get 4 photos per strip and you can add filters on the photos too! Overall, I will definitely be back! Finally a street style Korean Toast joint in the OC. I've been seeing them pop up in LA & Hollywood and was excited to hear that we finally got one. It's a cute little egg sandwich joint adorned with pink walls. It's a place suitable for the Gram. They also have 2 photo booth machines which come up to $5 for 2 strips of 4 photos, which is pretty reasonable. You just go on ahead and take your photos and pay at the register. While they do offer drink options that are very suitable for the Gram, nothing really popped out to me. In my opinion, there are better options for drinks and desserts in the same plaza, but I do recommend their egg sandwiches if you're craving breakfast for lunch or dinner. || L O C A T I O N || -Located on the first floor at The Source (cross streets are Beach Blvd. & Orangethorpe Ave.) -Within close proximity of Okbingsul, Myungrang Hot Dog, Ding Tea, and more. -There's a parking garage with 5 levels of parking. Both are equally delicious, but they do pack a lot of bulgogi in the sandwich to really make up for that $0.50 difference. I was actually quite worried that I'd still be hungry after eating the sandwich and thought about getting other food, but to my surprise, it was actually a lot more filling than I thought. The slices of the brioche toast are pretty thick, and there's ample amounts of eggs and meat in there. I guess if you'd want more flavor, you'd opt for the Kimchi Bulgogi BBQ Egg Sandwich which is currently priced at $9.90 (which is a pretty significant increase compared to the other sandwiches) but I feel like at that price point, it's not really worth the extra cost and you can get better food options around the same price. read more

Covid review: The sandwiches here taste as though eggslut & Korean street toast had a baby... in a positive sense ofc! I ordered a ham & cheese sandwich and it was soo yummy! Obviously it's takeout, but eating it outdoors was the best idea bc the chilly weather cools down the steaming egg inside the sandwich lol. The white sauce on top tastes like condensed milk + mayo. This sandwich is deceivingly big and not what I originally thought from looking at the pictures and for almost $9 per sandwich, I didn't think it was worth it. However, it's pretty darn large and you can split the sandwich! On Texas toast, your main feature is a scrambled egg and you can choose what's inside. I got the hash brown one. They all have their special sauce which has a kick, but it is good! It's a bit messy to eat and their packaging is pretty cool if you want to eat it later. This place currently sells Korean style egg toast sandwiches and drinks. It's located on the first level at The Source by Okbingsul and Myungrang Hot Dog. Based on the food, this seems more fitting as a breakfast place but its operating hours don't coincide with breakfast time. I only tried one item so far, and it was quite good. I got the Kimchi Bulgogi sandwich which was massive. The bread was warm and soft, and the egg was very fluffy. Kimchi and bulgogi definitely added some great flavor but I think I would've been fine even if this just came with egg and cheese. There was also some mayo and house spicy sauce, which was mildly spicy. It does indicate spiciness can be adjusted based on preference. I will definitely ask for it to be spicier next time. After looking at all the amazing pictures on Yelp, I knew I had to make the 40 minutes drive from SGV! We ordered the Bulgolgi Egg Sandwich and the Ham & Egg Sandwich. I also added a sweet potato latte since it was a rainy day. The latte was lightly sweeten and I can taste the sweet potato, just wish the temperature was a bit hotter. The egg is like the softest and fluffiest egg cloud I've ever eaten! How have I never ever met a sandwich like this before? The savory bulgolgi was delicious although most of the meat was stuffed on top. I could not eat the bread, egg, and bulgolgi in one bite. The sandwich is super wide! I had to flip the sandwich back and forth, is that why it's called Flippoly? hahah The ham you only get one piece, and you can easily eat the whole piece by accident depending on the way you chew! The milk bread was soft and fluffy but it was lot of bread, too many carbs! We preferred the bulgogi bbq more but wish there was more meat in the sandwich. It mainly felt like egg and bread. The mozzarella cheese wasn't melted enough so you wouldn't get that cheese pull effect. The sandwich was stuffed to brim so a lot of items were spilling over. Surprisingly, I never hopped onto the Dalgona coffee trend during quarantine, so I wanted to try it out when I spotted it on the menu. SERVICE: 5/5 The cashier was polite and nice. PRICE: 5/5 I think the cost of the drinks is comparable to any other drink store around the city. I got the Dalgona Foam Coffee for $4.90 and my boyfriend got the Coffee Einspanner for $4.90. It came out fresh and hot about five minutes later. There was sweet mayo drizzled on top and (I later discovered) Sriracha mayo drizzled below. I really liked the subtle change of flavor as I reached the halfway point (and no, it wasn't spicy, just a touch of Sriracha flavor!) The bulgogi played well with it's counterparts - it wasn't overpowering or tough to chew. The brioche bun was so fluffy, with just enough firmness to not become soggy or flat. Another section to take pictures with props. It took about 15-20 minutes for a drink and sandwich order to get to my hands. My suggestion is Door dash if you don't want the wait but there's also plenty of shops nearby to help distract you from the wait. The sandwich is huge and worth the wait. Really solid and yummy egg sandwiches! Just came across this place through a yelp search and picked up a quick lunch. What I ordered: -Bulgogi BBQ: I only had a bite of this one since it was my bf's order but the meat was really nice and had some good fatty trim. He mentioned there wasn't too much meat dispersed through the order but it was still really good flavor-wise. -Ham Cheese: I liked this order but I think I liked the Bulgogi one more since there was only like two slices of ham or so and I would recommend getting more red sauce on your sandwich, especially if you're into spicy stuff (not that the sauce is really spicy at all) but it just gave extra zing and flavor to the sandwich. -Garlic Bread (4 slices): I initially thought choosing this option would allow you to essentially use garlic bread as the "buns". Meaning, there would be a coating of butter and garlic on the outside bread to elevate your sandwich even more. When I looked at the menu again, I realized this is actually a separate order of garlic bread on the side. My mistake, but honestly I think it would be a cool option if they allowed customers to choose garlic bread as a "bun option" rather than a side. To judge the order however, it was kind of dry but the flavor was all there and pretty cheap so I'm not mad. For both sandwiches, there was definitely a lot of egg. It was nice and fluffy and cooked just right. The mayo or white sauce gave a slightly sweet note for balance but I really liked the red sauce. As for the bread, it was soft and fluffy and had some crisp areas from the buttered side being on the grill. I must note, these sandwiches can get messy so make sure you grab napkins and prepare for that. Also heads up, the sandwich is basically made up of one slice of bread that is about 2 inches thick and it is sliced in a way to resemble a clam-shell so the filling doesn't fall through the bottom. While this allows for pretty presentation and the filling to not sink, you do find a small chunk of bread at the end with little filling remaining. Size and value wise, I was able to finish my sandwich and about two slices of garlic bread before tapping out lol. You'll definitely feel full so if you're just looking for a small, light snack, this is probably not it. I think for around $7 ish, it's fair. I honestly thought this would cost a lot more if it were in LA county. The shop and parking: This place is located on the first floor of The Source. There is a lot of parking in the structure, and if you've never been, parking is free so there's no hassle here. The shop itself is relatively small, especially if you happen to come on a busy day, you might have to wait outside. We came here on a Monday afternoon, so the wait for 2 sandwiches was about 15 mins? Very cute and instagram-worthy type of place. Think pink and white walls, neon signs, and photo booths. They also have candy you can buy too. Overall: Decent prices, yummy sandwiches, and staff were following all safety/hygiene protocol. Would come back. read more

The Dalgona Coffee was flavorful and not too sweet. The eggs in sandwich was fluffy and the bulgogi was tender but was a little too heavy and greasy for me. 12/9/2020 4 1/2 Stars Lines and Wait Time Came here today on a Wednesday @ noon. But there were already people waiting for their order. There were about 4-5 people waiting, 2 different people waiting large orders. More people came in after me, about another 2-3 people. So best to come in as soon as this place opens. Wait time is AT LEAST 15 minutes. I changed my order by adding ham, so my order went over. I got my order in 21 minutes. They forgot about my coffee so they had to make it after getting my sandwich. Yes, 15 nor 21 mins is not a lot of wait time for how delicious the sandwich turned out. BUT I honestly wish they had a system to text customers to pick up their order. Maybe even an online order might be better. I felt there was a bit of that rushed feeling from the workers today. I can see they were doing their absolute best, but maybe if customers were allowed an online order and given a pick up time - customers don't need to stand there and wait. Nor would the workers feel that rushed chaos in completing customer orders. Dalgona Coffee with Honeycomb The honeycomb was separate in a container, so I tried the coffee first. It was a watered down coffee. It was not a good quality coffee. Low standard coffee that's worse than making your own coffee at home. For $5.40, I'd get coffee elsewhere. I added bigger chunks of the honeycomb for flavoring. It improved it a bit, but you get that burnt taste from the honeycomb, but not much of the sweetness of it. The only thing that is good was the honeycomb. It was lightly crunchy, slightly burnt caramel sugar taste. Such a fun candy to eat! You can purchase the honeycomb candy separately! Verdict: Skip next time. But buy honeycomb candy! Bacon Cheese (added Mozzarella and Ham) First bite you taste the garlic mayo which is light in flavor, you get a bit of the ham and egg with the toasted brioche bread. It tastes different, but it's the second bite with the fluffy cloudlike soft eggs that really take you away! It is sooo good! These were the best fluffy scrambled eggs I've ever tasted! No joke! Then I take another bite with the brioche bread, eggs, and get a layer of bacon, along with a sriracha-like hot sauce as well. So I'm eating and I get the American cheese and mayo with loads of bacon at the bottom. So they made the effort to load everything up so the sandwich had all the fillings. Verdict: This was so good that I'm gonna get it again! The main star was the fluffy eggs, so next time I won't add so many ingredients in mine. I must say that the saltiness and crunchiness of the bacon helped in the overall flavor of the sandwich. Asking for more hot sauce on the sandwich and adding mozzarella again. Customer Service They work quick and efficient. I saw some mad teamwork action going on today. Because I added the ham after (70 cents additional), they gave the ham addition for free. More reason to come back, right? ;) Everyone was friendly and explained the menu and was patient with all customers. I could see they all worked very hard to keep customers happy. Came on a Sunday around noon and waited about 20 minutes for our food, but I'm not complaining because they were BUSY! The wait was worth it though, the food was EGGcellent! We got the Bulgogi Eggflip with garlic bread (extra charge), and asked if they could add bacon to our sandwiches. Also got the Dalgona milk tea, which is topped with honeycomb, adding for an extra sweetness to your drink. Everything we tried was delicious, can't wait to come back! Side note: one of our sandwiches flipped over (no pun intended) and the cashier offered to remake it, but it's all going to the same place anyway right? I'm not entirely sure what has happened here but they really seem to have decreased the quality of the product here. Flippoly used to be my go to spot. My bf and I came here all the time but the last few times it's been really disappointing. The dalgona coffee was always my favorite and I feel like they've drastically decreased the amount of dalgona compared to before. Before they served the drink with big chunks of dalgona but now they put a very small amount of crumbled pieces on the top. The main beef we have though is the sandwiches. It's their signature menu item and the last few times I've got them, the bread was barely cut halfway down the middle, maybe only 1/2 of it was actually filled with egg and meat but the rest was just bread and cheese. Also this most recent time we got two sandwiches my boyfriend and I got pretty sick after eating them. I'll probably keep coming here because the coffee is still good but still kind of a bummer seeing portion and quality go down at such a great place read more

This review is for their photo booth bc I didn't try the food. I realize photo booths aren't just a thing of the past. Back when I was a teenager, studio pics were all the rage. While I typically see photo booths at weddings, I was happy to be able to see some at this Asian mall. There was a little bit of a wait. There were 2 groups of teenagers ahead of us taking up both booths. But it was fine, my bf ordered a sando he was waiting for. We were able to catch an open booth and for 2 strips at $5, it wasn't so bad. I think we just had a fun time posing in front of the camera. Was there today with my 1.5 year old toddler and the employees there were cursing left and right using f*cking and b*tch words. They saw my baby there, but did not stop cursing. The ambiance was hostile to say the least. They were also taking at least 15 min making one single sandwich and were on their phones most of the time. It was surprisingly good and I liked how soft and fluffy everything was. The little drizzle of mayo helped give it a nice sweetness. The menu is pretty small here and limited to egg sandwiches with different meat and cheese options. However, they also serve garlic bread and have a small drink selection (dalgona milk tea, lemonade, dalgona coffee, etc.). What I liked about this place was how friendly the girl helping me was and how cute the atmosphere was. It's a very bright, happy spot and they even have some photo booths there for $5. read more

This place goes super hard! Came and ordered the bulgolgi sandwich w the blue lemonade drink. The only reason I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the drink is super super sour! Like super extreme warheads in liquid form sour! I concede, it's not in my best interest to ever order blue colored drinks, as they always never taste as great as they look. The sandwich tho! Is 10 out of 10! From the bread, eggs, meat, sauce, and cheese everything was made to perfection like that's definitely on my list of things I could eat everyday for the rest of my life type of good! I have yet to try their food, but after eating at Overflo, we were thirsty and wanted a drink to share. Between the blue lemonade and the pink grapefruit, we opted to get the pink grapefruit. Don't let the item name mislead you. If you're looking for a tart grapefruit flavor, don't order it. The only flavor I was getting was a light grape soda but the soda portion had that funky taste. In the future, I'd stay away from their fruit drinks. Their coffee based beverages seem pretty pleasing. I've been here multiple times before for the photobooth and drinks but I've never tried their sandwhich until today. I got the bulgogi bbq sandwhich and it was made fairly quickly. It was stuffed and packed with a lot of eggs. It is a fairly big sandwhich and I really like the sauce that they use which was really creamy. The bulgogi was filled as well and it was seasoned pretty well. The only thing I'd personally recommend is that the bread was just too much. At some point the taste of the bread was just getting too bland and I was getting full as well. It is a pretty heavy sandwhich. Since it was portioned really big, some of the beef was falling out. The cheese was also pretty melted as well. The ambiance of the place is very trendy and cute for pictures. read more

I got two sandwiches, Kim Chee Bulgogi - Fluffy Egg, Cheese, Bulgogi and Kim chee on Butter Bread and Original Egg - Fluffy Egg, Cheese , house sauce on Butter Bread. Only take out is available due to Covid Restrictions. Both Sandwiches are fairly good size. The egg was nice a fluffy and fresh. The Original had a unique taste as their house sauce was sweet yet spicy kick to it. The Kim Chee Bulgogi was my fav as if I was eating Korean bbq in one bite. Although the price can be a little high, it is worth it as you get a pretty big sandwich! While Eggslut may have been the first egg restaraunt in the game, it sure wasn't gonna be the only one, as EggSlice is located down the street form Flippoly. 2.5 Stars. The shop is super cute with social media worthy aesthetics, especially the photo booth stalls. The actual menu items are also pretty to look at but taste-wise, not so great. I ordered the Honeycomb candy dalgona drink and a custard "cronut." The cronut was harder/ flakier than a regular croissant or even a cronut. It was pretty hard, almost like it was burned, and I couldn't tell if that's how it was supposed to be or it was just baked a little longer than it should have been. My drink was ok, but tasted more like milk than the actual candy dalgona flavor. read more

My first time at Flippoly and it did not disappoint! I got the classic sandwich since I wanted to see what a "default" order would be and ooooh man the easy and delicious combo of kewpie mayo, cheese, and egg was so comforting especially because it was raining when I went! My group and I sat at the larger table to the left of the entrance, and a couple of us even enjoyed the photobooths they have available (specially the aerial booth)! My husband wanted to try this place so badly we drove almost an hour from where we were staying to come give it a try. He visited The Source last year on a business trip and this place caught his eye. Since we were in LA, he wanted to go give it a try. I'm so happy we tried it out. These sandwiches are simply delightful . We tried the ham and egg and it was incredibly buttery, rich, and filling. We also ordered the bacon and egg sandwich. The price was good and to my surprise the sandwiches were huge! Next time I would just order one and share it. I was so stuffed. read more
