The moment you walk into flora cafe you are met not only with very engaging and kind staff but also beautiful decor all around. From the wall paper to the cempasúchil flowers that are on all the tables. Everything in this cafe is deliberate and purposeful to offer the best possible experience. When I came I went for both breakfast and lunch allowing me to try the breakfast sandwich and then the chicken pesto. Both were delicious and raised my bar for what I consider a great breakfast sandwich and chicken pesto sandwich. My dear friend and I came in for the first time today. We were both blown away, not only for it's excellent food and service but it's cozy and beautiful decore. We felt like we were in a total different neighborhood. We are so happy we have a new place to come and grab a bite, drink a latte or two and chat. The owners are very nice and welcoming.. This was my second time eating here, and I was immediately disappointed by the customer service. We waited about 40 minutes for our meals, and when mine finally arrived, I found a hair in my avocado toast. When I pointed it out to the staff, there was no apology, just a quick offer to remake the dish. I did receive a refund, after I had to ask for one, but there was no accountability for the issue or acknowledgment of their hygiene practices. What's more concerning is that I noticed staff frequently touching their hair and then handling food and drinks without washing their hands. Proper food handling should be a priority in any restaurant and unfortunately that didn't seem to be the case here. read more

Discovered this cafe over a month ago and have been coming here weekly sometimes twice a week . Their sandwiches are delicious! I've ordered their chicken salad and tuna sandwiches, also their wraps. Cute spot, and I'm hopeful they will get better with time! The girl at the register today (Thurs 10am) was not very friendly. I asked for a recommendation and she shrugged her shoulders, I asked about their chai to inquire if it's spicy or sweet and she once again shrugged her shoulders. I don't recommend keeping someone like her at the register. For the food - oddly, my friend's sandwich arrived immediately after sitting down making us doubt its freshness. The food runner came around with a cappuccino but my friend ordered a flat white, so we said no this is not ours. She went back to the bar and proceeded to bring us back the same drink. My dirty chai was nothing special, but also not bad. My avocado toast took 15 minutes to arrive (but my friend was basically done at this point) and I watched the food runner drop off a plate to a table that ordered after us. She gave them my toast which had the boiled egg, so my food was delayed longer while waiting for a very cold hard boiled egg to arrive. The place is overpriced for the quality of food/drinks and service. Probably won't be back for a while, hopefully they figure out their system soon! read more

Sorry I did not like the avocado toast. I thought it was bland. For one thing, the menu says the tomatoes are roasted. The tomatoes on the avocado toast are clearly fresh with hemp hearts, no roasting. I specifically got the toast because it said the tomatoes are roasted so I was really irritated. Not to mention, everything else was bland. I might go back to try something else but this time I'd ask questions and not assume that was is written on the menu is actually... on the menu. read more

This is my third time coming to this café. The first two times I ordered a coffee was not a fan of either of them. I got the vanilla latte & dirty chai today I got the strawberry garden, which is a strawberry Matcha. The girl at the register was pretty rude. She just stared at me and didn't say anything so I proceeded to order. but this drink just taste like strawberry milk. The Matcha taste is very minimal and for eight dollars. I don't think I will be returning again. It is cute inside. I will give them that! but the customer service definitely needs some work and overall I think the price is a little much for the quality of drinks. but after giving it multiple chances, I don't think I will be returning and I really wanted to love this coffee shop since it is pretty close to me. read more

I loved the strawberry matcha so much, super good!! The atmosphere was so adorable and clean. However the wait was very very long...this buisness is picking up more people which is great, but maybe get more staff or faster service it took 25ish mins or longer to get food to go. Limited food menu, so I chose the breakfast sandwich and was not impressed. The croissant was fresh and flavorful, scrambled egg was nicely done. Bacon in sandwich was a single strip, cheese a bit skimpy. A few green leaves and two tiny pieces of pickled onion completed the filling. I happened to find this new cafe while I was shopping in the Bonita shopping center. I peeked in and saw that they had a nice La Marzocco setup so I decided to try them out. I ordered an espresso. Keep in mind I make my own espresso at home and I am a bit of a coffee/espresso snob. The espresso was delicious and smooth. It also had lots of crema. A perfect espresso shot! I will definitely be coming back on a regular basis. The service was excellent and the place looks amazing. A coffee shop near me, finally ! However, I was disappointed to find out it wasn't the best. I had their matcha latte with almond milk and added lavender syrup. It was honestly super milky, I couldn't even finish it. The employees were nice. The vibe in there was meh, all the florals reminded me of a grandma's home. I had the lilac matcha drink and a chicken wrap. Both were just ok. The matcha was lacking flavor. I could tell it wasn't mixed well bc there were chunks on the bottom. The chicken wrap was ok. Way overpriced imo. Over $50 for two people. A wrap, a sandwich and two drinks. They need to put less effort into decor and more effort into making quality food and drinks. Even if the prices were high at least be good. I'm being generous giving 3 stars tbh. read more

Horrible customer service. First of all, Yelp lists their opening time at 7am but it's actually 730 so we sat in the car for 30 minutes. When we politely mentioned it to the barista, she said "well the door says 730". Wow. Then, when we tried to order food the girl said "well we don't serve food till 8am". All of that probably would have been OK if we just had more polite and courteous responses from the staff. Please get some better help! Definitely not coming back here. read more

The service there is ALWAYS good, I've never really had a bad experience there and the vibes are really cutesy. With this good review you might be wondering why I give it a 3 star, that's bc apparently the owners do not like dogs. Which is 100% fine but it is just the fact they don't really put it anywhere that it isn't okay. Starbucks for one doesn't allow dogs but does not enforce it most times, same with better buzz. Now I know this because when I went in with my two dachshunds the barista had to whisper to me that the owners were there and starring each of them down. She was very friendly and I would hate for her to have gotten in trouble because there's no clear sign. Again this could be on me but either way we weren't staying we just wanted to pick up a drink real quick and I for one wouldn't want to leave my dogs in the car by themselves. read more

I ordered a honey latte and man was it strong. I don't know how much shots of espresso were added but I did get a headache that lingered throughout my day.
