    1. Tacos were super small portion so don't recommend it for the price. It's like good truck corn tacos. 2. Huesvos benedictos eggs were phenomenal 3. Shrimp and lobster enchiladas something was decent 4. Fajitas were the best Service was quick and fast and interior looks awesome! Sit inside!

Octopus can be great but it can also be extremely chewy. Flora did a great job and their octopus was excellent! Very tender and flavorful! Loved it!

Flora has been on my list for years (even way back when it was The Dunlavy) and I finally got the chance to go for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is beautiful, tucked into the edge of Buffalo Bayou park, with floor to ceiling glass windows and sparkling crystal chandeliers. This is truly a magical spot at any time of day. We were hoping for a slightly more casual meal and opted to sit at the bar which comes with full meal service. The bartender was very friendly and quickly got us started with a round of their classic margaritas and took our meal order. The margaritas were nice and light and fresh. For food, my friend and I both got tacos, one order of shrimp and one order of fish. While these were both fine, I was a little stocked to see the price - ($26) for two fish tacos which included a tortilla, a piece of mahi mahi fish, a small swipe of refried beans and a light sprinkle of cabbage slaw. No sides, no salsa. The shrimp tacos ($23) at least come with three tacos but this still feels overpriced as well. Finally, in good fashion we had to round out our meal with Carajillos which were excellent! These were hand shaken with rich espresso and a thick layer of foam and topped with a cinnamon stick lit on fire. 10/10! Finally, like other reviewers, it's worth mentioning the parking. I've run past this restaurant hundreds of times while in Buffalo Bayou Park and was well aware of the situation but can see how it can be overwhelming for the first time. Save yourself a headache and just prepare to pay $10 to valet your car. The lot is tiny and trying to park in the nearby neighborhood is asking for trouble to have to run across Allen Parkway. Overall, I am definitely glad that I got to try Flora. Service and drinks were excellent, but I'm not so convinced on the food. I might give them another shot for happy hour.

What an incredible Galentine's Day brunch I had at Flora! Wow this restaurant is something special. I was invited as a plus one for a friend to attend a hosted brunch in the private room. While the event hosts did decorate themselves and it was beautiful, the room itself is so striking it could've still been beautiful just standing on its own. The wait staff took such good care of us with their recommendations, always making sure our drinks were full, and ensuring we had everything we needed before we could even think to ask for it. The waitress that took care of us the most was incredible. We all loved her and I am so sad I can't remember her name because she deserved the recognition! The hibiscus margarita was SO good and so beautiful! We had a preset three course menu, and I truly loved every single thing on it. The tortilla chips are by far the best I've ever had in my 30 years of living and that's saying a lot because I consider myself a Mexican restaurant connoisseur. The guacamole was so fresh and flavorful. The queso was great. While I don't personally eat ceviche, it did look good and was very vibrant. I'd never tried anything like Sopecitos before this lunch. Those were good too!! For my entree, I chose the marinated skirt steak. Again, they knocked it out of the park. It was good and tender. For dessert I had the flan and loved it. I cannot wait to bring my husband back for a date night so I can experience the inside of the restaurant and have him try all the items I've already fell in love with! Thank you for such a wonderful experience Flora!

Flora is a must go to at least once in your life restaurant inside of Houston's ethos space of food and dining and everything. The place is amazing from the beautiful aesthetic to where it sits to the food the combinations I definitely recommend this place to everybody and if you haven't gone, please go the skirt state is some of the most tender meat I've ever had from a skirt state in my life just amazing. I can't say enough great things about this place a must try our host that waited for us was amazing. I don't remember his name but it's just outstanding from everything. You cannot beat this place. Go try it.

Service: our server was great. Ambiance: romantic / intimate Drink: - Cucumber margarita: too heavy on the cucumber for me. Had to send it back. 2/10 - Lemon drop: 7/10 Food: - Chips and guacamole: 8/10 - Red snapper ceviche: 8/10 Prices: not worth the value which is why I give this place a 3.5

If you're looking for a perfect brunch patio spot in Houston, look no further! (I recommend reservations though) *The Atmosphere: the outdoor patio sits on the edge of Buffalo Bayou and is surrounded by beautiful, tall trees. There's a roof on the patio to shelter you from the scorching sun or the drenching Houston rain. It couldn't be a more perfect spot. They also have heaters if the temperatures are a little on the chilly side. *The Food (brunch): we had the Huevos Benedictinos ($23) and the Huevos a la Cazuela ($22). Both were SPECTACULAR tasting! I'm not a big chorizo fan, but the combination of the chorizo with the chipotle hollandaise on the slightly crisp sopecitos on the Huevos Benedictinos dish was to DIE FOR! I'm in LOVE with this dish!!! Our server told us that everything is homemade and there is no lard used. Even the refried beans are made without lard - they use olive oil. So if you have any vegetarians in your group, the beans are safe! I almost forgot - the churros are probably the BEST I have ever had. They are served hot, and they literally melt in your mouth - almost like cotton candy. They were TASTY AF! *The Staff: FANTASTIC! We had a group of 7, and our server was spot on with everything. As usual, we have a LOT of questions when we visit a place like this, and our server had answers for everything! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and also seemed passionate about the restaurant and everything they do there.

Beautiful restaurant, wonderful service and excellent food! Arrived with a group of four around 1:30pm. Immediately greeted and welcomed by the server and the managers and started off with margaritas. The octopus chorizo appetizer was delicious and the fajitas were sizzling. They do not have refried pinto beans (only black) but the chips and tortillas were fresh. Definitely will return and highly recommend. The live guitar music was a plus as well!

Date night was great. Flora was recommended to us and I would definitely recommend it to others. Food was delicious and the service was top-notch.

The food, service, and ambiance were all excellent. Our waitress was kind, attentive, and very polite. We ordered the famous octopus, which was delicious, along with a perfectly cooked steak and excellent shrimp tacos. The guacamole was outstanding, while the churros were good and the flan was just okay. Overall, it was a very enjoyable Mother's Day experience, despite the restaurant being quite packed.

Really disappointed. I'd been here once before and I think the food has taken a major turn since then. I ordered the shrimp tacos, a margarita spritz, and the escabeche. The escabeche was so bad I barely touched it. I wasn't asked about why I didn't eat it either. The staff was inattentive and lacked a care for the food. We were not asked if we were satisfied with our orders. My shrimp tacos were tiny and lacked flavor. The tortillas also fell apart really easily and were clearly old. Major disappointment. Would not go back. Would not recommend.

Came by to see about hosting a small party. Everyone I came into contact with was so welcoming and hospitable. We had already eaten dinner so only had drinks and Romeo did not disappoint. The ambiance was beautiful and the drinks were delicious! Romeo introduced me to Stephanie the Events Coordinator and she was kind enough to briefly go over some options and give me a little tour. I can't wait to come back to try the octopus.

We visited around 5:00 PM on a Sunday and were pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately for a party of two without a reservation. The restaurant is huge, and despite being very busy, the service was efficient. We were seated in one of the back dining rooms and greeted with complimentary chips and salsa, both of which were delicious. The atmosphere was fantastic--packed with World Cup fans, with what felt like everyone wearing a soccer jersey. As fellow futebol fans, we loved the energy. Being from California, we're fortunate to have access to some excellent Mexican food, so we were a little hesitant about trying Tex-Mex. I ordered the chicken fajitas with flour tortillas and a passion fruit margarita. The chicken had a smoky flavor and a sauce that gave the dish a distinctly Texas-style twist. The flour tortillas were outstanding, and the refried beans and rice were just as enjoyable. The passion fruit margarita was also a standout and something I'd definitely order again. Overall, this was a great dining experience and a place I'd recommend for the atmosphere alone. The restaurant appears well-equipped to accommodate large groups, making it a great option for gatherings. Next time, I'd love to return with a bigger group and take advantage of one of their margarita pitchers!

For drinks, my husband and our friends tried some of the margaritas from their large and unique margaritas menu, as well as their hibiscus agua fresca. All of the drinks were very pretty and it seemed like everyone enjoyed them, too! We started with their chips and salsa trio, which we all really liked. The chips were on the thicker side, but were crispy and not stale or chewy at all. Each of the salsas were quite different, and two were served warm, which we really liked! For the price, I'd consider getting the chips and salsa as a non-negotiable, honestly. For entrees, we tried the enchilada rojas, chilaquiles verde w/ chicken and beef, birria barbacoa ramen, and huaraches. My husband felt like his ramen could have included more meat, but aside from that everyone really enjoyed what they ordered. The highlight was probably the desserts, though! We got a quatro leches and two ordered of their giant and amazing churros. Both were incredibly tasty and reason enough to return for another visit in the future!
