Stopped by here for breakfast during restaurant week. They have a nice outdoor patio and the design of the place is amazing! Colorful interior and beautiful artwork on the walls. Service was good! We were greeted quickly and our waiter provided great service. The food was delicious. They have a variety of unique menu items, so it's not just your usual breakfast joint. I had the Turkish eggs, and I ate it all! They put these cute little touches on the drinks. I loved the little note that came clipped to the glass. Definitely recommend this place and I will eat here again.
i had the bananas foster french toast i've never seen that in my life so was very excited to order it, it was a little dry but very delicious i wish they added some more bananas to it. the service was fast and friendly even though they were busy. it was a little loud but it's understandable since it was very busy. the latte was so foamy and delightful shoutout to the barista
Went here on Labor Day and had a stellar time. I ordered the steak sandwich and it was dynamite!! It came with a hasselback potato that was a little on the small side. My lunch mate got the steak and eggs and it looked amazing. We each got an iced latte that was good It's very cutely decorated and I LOVE the wallpaper All the stuff were very nice and helpful and very friendly I definitely would come back here. When we got there, there was about 15 people waiting for a table, but we luckily made reservations. I would recommend reservations. It is North Park so it's street parking. It is an inside outside restaurant so there was no air-conditioning so it was a little warm But overall fantastic restaurant would definitely go back
Flora is such a beautiful restaurant! The decor is absolutely gorgeous and creates such a pretty, inviting atmosphere. We came on a Saturday without reservations and were pleasantly surprised to be seated right away! They have both indoor and outdoor seating if you have a preference. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and our food came out promptly. Everything about the experience was smooth and enjoyable. Definitely a great spot if you're looking for somewhere with beautiful ambiance, good service, and a lovely overall vibe. I would definitely come back!
Restaurant week brought us here, and I'm so glad! This place is so cutie! Who doesn't love overalls for the staff uniform!! I love the European vibe and our server Luca, from Naples, was so lovely and helpful. We had an awesome experience. It started with the coffee that was included in the Restaurant Week menu. So wonderful and gave me a great kick all day! My bf got the Turkish eggs-that yogurt was so tangy and delish! I had the steak sandwich and it was so tender and tasted terrific! The steak sandwich also included a yummy Parmesan potato. We ended the meal with the Nutella (and strawberry!) crepe and the Banana Foster French toast. Both were fantastic, but if I had to choose my favorite, it would have to be that crepe! It was piled so high and it was so wonderful. There were some crunchy bits and a wonderful fresh whipped cream finish! I'll be back Flora, I promise!!
Landed here for brunch while visiting San Diego. When I say you need to come here I mean it! Mandatory. Such a yummy brunch everything HIT. THE CANTALOUPE & OLIVE OIL MARTINI?!? Amazing. Service was great and the staff were sweet with great recommendations. Inside decor was super cute. Bright lighting great for pics. Waited for about 15 mins for our table. Would def visit again.
Stopped by cause we were hungry. We all ended up getting the same plate: ZUCCHINI BLOSSOM FRITTATA. I was expecting something "different" but it was a miss. Like, just because you put zucchini inside the egg (or basically mix it in there) doesn't really make this dish different. I'm not understanding where this whole "creativity" comes from. I guess I'm just not understanding their menu either as I'm having trouble understanding what the place is all about. The menu felt like it was a mixture of Mexican Turkish American - it just didn't make sense.
I really loved the vibe and aesthetic of Flora, and the service was wonderful. Unfortunately, the food was just average for me. I really enjoyed the whipped dalgona drink, it was so tasty and strong. I ordered the chilaquiles with carnitas, which was just ok. My friend had the salmon toast with poached egg, but the salmon was way too salty. Overall, a super cute spot with great drinks and atmosphere.
Fun brunch spot! The decor inside is def catered to the instagram crowd. It was a good thing I made a reservation for the weekend because it gets very busy. Parking was relatively easy to find on the streets. The steak burrito and berry french toast are my faves! Not usually a sweet brunch person but I really liked the fresh berry toppings. Despite it being busy, I had amazing service from the female server that worked on 6/20.
The dalgona coffee was a standout for me personally! Very creamy would recommend :) The food was also amazing!! We got the shakshuka eggs and smoke salmon Benedict which were incredible. The decor and vibes were very lovely, would recommend for brunch :) Shoutout to Paulo for always checking in on us and our food, awesome server!
Tried Flora in North Park after seeing all the cute photos online, and I'll say this: the aesthetic definitely delivers. It's very Instagram-friendly with pretty decor, pastel umbrellas, and lots of photo opportunities. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Food-wise, it was just okay for me. I ordered the açaí bowl, and while it was fresh and nicely presented, it wasn't the best I've had, but definitely not bad either. I also had a pineapple mimosa, which was refreshing and enjoyable. My friend ordered the Turkish eggs and said they were good, although she felt the dish leaned a little too creamy for her taste. The menu overall felt somewhat limited, and nothing really stood out as a must-have dish. It's one of those places where the ambiance may outshine the food. Would I come back? Maybe--for the cute atmosphere, photos, and drinks. But if I'm choosing a brunch spot solely for the food, there are other places in San Diego I'd probably reach for first.
Came here on a sunday and it was pretty crowded around 12:30 would recommend a reservation which we had. We were seated pretty quickly, staff was really friendly and attentive. I ordered an iced latte with white chocolate syrup which was 6$ and the classic benedict for 17$. The food and coffee was really good! I was scared for the coffee because most places are hit or miss these days but i liked it. I would say portion wise it was a bit on the smaller end but prices are pretty standard these days. My other family members tried a steak sandwich, the pasta, salmon benedict and the chilaquiles. They all had high reviews for their food saying it was all well seasoned. Food also came out pretty fast even though they were busy. So again I just felt the portions were a little small, but overall the place was well decorated had a nice vibe to it and very friendly staff.
The vibes of Flora was so pretty. From the moment I walked up to the host stand I thought it was so adorable. I was a little taken back however when I checked in for our reservation and they sat us directly next to the host stand. I mean touching. We had to hear the hostess shout names during our entire meal. Not to mention we sat in the burning sun. We requested they move an umbrella for us and they were unable to. The food was fantastic but even the server seemed very chaotic. We asked to change our style of egg and he said the kitchen is too picky so he can't. Then at the end we asked if we could pay with cash and he said it would take him too long. Considering our entire table was made up of industry workers we found this to be absolutely ridiculous. Without these two issues Flora would have received a 5 star rating.

I love this place... I was warmly greeted by Ocean who gracious to let me pick my table because I'm weird about drafts. Our server was Ashley who gave us great suggestions. Great selection of food and drinks, they have so many options. Today we got the chicken panini. It was so good, the chicken was juicy and we also got peach compote waffles. Come hungry for savory and sweet you won't be disappointed. From cocktails to coffee. I love their coffee so much I sometimes just pop in to get it to go. Their food came out fast. We came here on a Sunday around noon with the family and were seated right away--no wait at all since it wasn't very busy. As soon as we walked in, the host and servers greeted us warmly, which made a great first impression. The restaurant itself is very nice, clean, and beautifully decorated. Since it was our first visit, we wanted to try a little bit of everything and ordered the Charcuterie Flora. It had a great variety and was more than enough to feed our family. I also ordered the Egg Sandwich, which was really good--the bacon was perfectly crispy with a nice sweet flavor. Overall, everything we tried was delicious. Highly recommend giving this place a try. The only downside was parking, as there was some construction going on, but it was definitely worth it. read more

TLDR: Flora is a brunch/dinner spot with a strong Instagram aesthetic. While the décor impresses, the experience is marred by logistical issues and uneven food. A great place for photos, but a mixed bag when it comes to actually dining. General Info: Flora is a brunch-forward restaurant with Italian influences opened by the team behind RustiCucina and Roman Wolves. Located in North Park, it delivers serious visual appeal: chic interiors, coordinated staff uniforms, and a vibe that feels curated for Instagram. It's undeniably stylish, drawing a young, trendy crowd. However, the operational side still seems to be catching up. Despite having a reservation on Mother's Day, my family and I waited at least 20 minutes to be seated, during which the hostesses argued loudly in front of us about where to seat us, even though there was no visible line or crowd; we were seated in the back of the restaurant. Once at the table, I was informed of a 90-minute dining limit, something that was not communicated in advance either on the website or during booking. Inquiries about a potential holiday menu had previously been met with uncertainty. At the table, they insisted the menu didn't exist, despite screenshots of it having appeared online just days prior (which I've included). These miscommunications, while minor individually, added up to a bumpy start. Food: My meal began with a vanilla matcha latte. It leaned sweet, but had a nice matcha presence and was ultimately refreshing. I tried many dishes during my visit. The first was the zucchini frittata, which came with breakfast potatoes and toast. The potatoes were nicely crisped on the outside and fluffy inside. They were executed well and had a reasonably good flavor. The frittata itself was fine: eggs cooked well, zucchini blossoms tender, and a creamy Brie-Parmesan sauce on top. However, the whole dish was under-seasoned and lacked flavor complexity. After adding my own salt and pepper, it became more enjoyable, but it never quite popped. The Hasselback potatoes (a side) were the star of the table. They had a creamy, dense interior with a crispy exterior and were topped with sour cream for contrast. This made for a fantastic texture and flavor contrast. Less successful was the carbonara. Despite a promising ingredient list (egg yolk, guanciale, pecorino, Parmesan), the sauce was broken and clumpy (see close-up photo I posted), likely added to the pasta at too high a temperature. It lacked saltiness, depth, and, crucially, the amount of black pepper necessary to bring the dish to life. Most of the black pepper was sprinkled on the top of the dish rather than incorporated throughout. The guanciale was well-sized and cooked well, but couldn't save the dish. Given that guanciale, pecorino, and Parmesan are all used, the lack of any saltiness indicates a clear misstep in the preparation. Carbonara is a deceptively simple dish that often reflects the kitchen's level of expertise; it's safe to say it told the entire story of my meal. I also tried the shakshuka eggs, which were perfectly serviceable but ultimately forgettable. They lacked the kind of bold, aromatic punch that the dish usually delivers. Service and Operations: Our server was friendly and reasonably attentive, but logistical and operational missteps detracted from the overall experience. The music was loud throughout the meal, making conversation difficult in our area. The timing of dishes, especially the entrées, was inconsistent. When I finished my meal, the server brought over the card reader and charged my card before I had a chance to view the bill. I immediately asked to see the bill, but they had already tapped the card, assuring me I would receive the receipt afterward. Additionally, they prompted me to tip without informing me that a 20% gratuity had already been added for our large party. This amount is not clearly disclosed on the menu or website. Only the fact that an ambiguous large-party tip is added automatically is disclosed. While I have no issue with automatic gratuity for large groups, transparency is essential, and this wasn't handled well. Overall Thoughts: Flora is a beautiful space with lots of promise and an established pedigree, but as of now, it feels like style is outpacing substance. The food has moments of competence (and even brilliance in the Hasselback potatoes), but is uneven overall. Operationally, the restaurant needs to communicate more clearly and tighten up execution. For now, Flora is more of a destination for cute pictures than memorable meals. Hopefully with time, the kitchen and service team can iron out the kinks and bring the dining experience in line with the ambiance. read more

We had a fantastic brunch here. We couldn't decide so split two dishes. We had the Chilaquiles and the Squash Blossom Fritatta, both delicious. They brought by friend Tiramisu and hold me back, I've had gobs of Tiramisu in my life, but this was the best! Services and ambience were spot on too. read more

The food was delicious, our server was so kind and accommodating, and the ambiance is absolutely there. Beautiful interiors. They forgot carnitas on one of the dishes and they brought it out a few mins later and took the whole dish off the bill, which I thought was wonderful service. read more

This place was phenomenal! The service was so amazing and prices are super reasonable for the portion sizes. We ordered the sausage omelette, breakfast sandwich, and the smoked salmon benedict. Everything was so delicious and perfect! The restaurant is beautiful and great for a fun brunch where you want photos or a nice ambiance. They even brought out a free tiramisu at the end randomly, which was so sweet. I will definitely be recommending this. read more

Busy Sunday but they were able to seat us without a reservation. First time here, cute decor and the food was great. Ordered the salmon toast and Turkish eggs plus Bloody Mary. Enjoyed Sunday brunch with our friends and enjoyed the experience! Decor and vibes were super cute - very trendy. There's a bar in the middle making breakfast cocktails and coffee drinks. Our friends enjoyed a latte and americano. We all ordered off the classic brunch menu and enjoyed the food - it was quick to get our meals and all plates were great servings. There were 8 of us for lunch and we managed to get a reservation after calling that same morning - score! The ambiance and vibe was so lively and energetic, beautiful tile, wall murals and a kitchy bar all made for a fun mother - daughter brunch. My daughter and I ordered the shashuka and breakfast carbonara to split. The shashuka portion was a little on the lite side. It was good, but not great as the tomato sauce tasted flat. The carbonara was also a little dry, not enough sauce, missing flavors, and needed more fresh Parmesan. Everything came out fairly quickly. Staff was courteous and quick. read more

03-14-25 - Came here on a cold and rainy day. Parking is street parking only. They also had a farmer's market during this time so parking was a little difficult. The restaurant was pretty empty around 530pm. When we came, there were only two tables occupied. The restaurant is nice and pretty. Our host, Salvatore, was very nice and attentive. We ordered the zucchini squash blossoms which had ricotta cheese inside and was laying on mint sauce. It was ok. I think it needed some more seasoning and I didn't feel the mint sauce complimented it. My friend ordered chicken milanese, the breading was ok but the sauce was also not as flavorful. The chicken was also unfortunately very dry. I ordered the angus steak "from the butcher". I ordered it medium. It had a good crust and the potato it came with was yummy. Unfortunately, the steak was more medium rare towards the tail end of the steak. Looking at the other reviews, it looks like the breakfast items are the more reviewed items. So maybe i'll try that. read more

Loved the ambiance and italian twist to this place! I ordered: SMOKED SALMON TOAST - The amount of salmon on this was wild lol. It was super fresh! I typically don't like arugula but it was delicious. A little too much salmon after a few bites but rather have more than less. I also ordered a side of house potatoes and there was a loooot! Flora in North Park absolutely blew me away! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm, vibrant, and beautifully designed , the kind of place that feels special without being over the top. The vibe is perfect whether you're going for a cute brunch, dinner with friends, or a date night. And the FOOD... wow. Every single thing we tried was packed with flavor and presented so beautifully. You can tell they really care about quality and creativity. Nothing felt basic everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully made, and honestly unforgettable. The service made the experience even better. Everyone was welcoming, attentive, and made us feel genuinely taken care of without hovering. It's rare to find a place that nails the food, the aesthetic, and the hospitality, but Flora does exactly that. Already planning my next visit. If you're in North Park, this spot is a must. read more

This place was great, the special of the day which was chicken and waffles was delicious! The service was great - my friend didn't love her nachos so they actually took it off the bill & offered her another dish which was actually so sweet. It's such a cute place and I think I'd come back to try other options on the menu. It was packed and a lot of people were in and out. The drinks gave such funny names and descriptions! read more

On their website, it says there's a happy hour from 4 to 5 PM but their hours say that they close at 3 o'clock so I'm just confused when does happy hour happen?
They used to have longer business hours with Happy Hour but not anymore. They close at 3pm...only do brunch now.
How are the parking options when dining here?
Parking is a challenge. I drove around for about 10 minutes on a Saturday morning and found one in a residential area about a 7 minute walk to the restaurant. My dining partners paid to park their car nearby.
