Fun brunch spot! The decor inside is def catered to the instagram crowd. It was a good thing I made a reservation for the weekend because it gets very busy. Parking was relatively easy to find on the streets. The steak burrito and berry french toast are my faves! Not usually a sweet brunch person but I really liked the fresh berry toppings. Despite it being busy, I had amazing service from the female server that worked on 6/20.

Tried Flora in North Park after seeing all the cute photos online, and I'll say this: the aesthetic definitely delivers. It's very Instagram-friendly with pretty decor, pastel umbrellas, and lots of photo opportunities. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which I appreciated. Food-wise, it was just okay for me. I ordered the açaí bowl, and while it was fresh and nicely presented, it wasn't the best I've had, but definitely not bad either. I also had a pineapple mimosa, which was refreshing and enjoyable. My friend ordered the Turkish eggs and said they were good, although she felt the dish leaned a little too creamy for her taste. The menu overall felt somewhat limited, and nothing really stood out as a must-have dish. It's one of those places where the ambiance may outshine the food. Would I come back? Maybe--for the cute atmosphere, photos, and drinks. But if I'm choosing a brunch spot solely for the food, there are other places in San Diego I'd probably reach for first.

FLORA @ NORTH PARK Parking can definitely be difficult here since everything is street parking, and most spots are either paid or have a two-hour limit. This breakfast spot is super popular in North Park, so I was really excited to finally try it out. I came for a friend's birthday with a party of over 20 people, and once everyone arrived, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. We had a preset menu for the reservation that included pastries, fruit, French toast, and one entrée item that each guest could choose. The pastries were decent, though I do wish they had been a little fresher and warmer since they were slightly on the drier side. The fruit was honestly my favorite part of the starter courses, fresh strawberries, blueberries, and blackberries are always a good choice. I'm not sure if they forgot about the French toast, but our table never ended up receiving it. For my entrée, I chose the smoked salmon croissant with potatoes, and it was delicious. Everything tasted perfectly cooked, and overall I really enjoyed the dish. Unfortunately, there was a disgusting piece of hair on one of my potatoes, and it immediately made me lose my appetite. Overall, the ambiance of the place was really nice. It's a smaller spot, but very lively and fun, especially for brunch with friends.

Came here with a group of 5 for a delayed Mother's Day brunch. Everything we ordered was delicious! I personally had the Berry Compote French Toast. I asked for the compote to be on the side and I'm glad I did! I'm not a huge fan of compote (it did tasted just as compote should), the French toast with the powdered sugar and the fresh berries were perfect on its own for me. The French toast was soft on the inside and had a great crisp on the outside. Everyone else said they loved their food as well. I would definitely come back!

Flora is one of the popular restaurants in trendy North Park neighborhood of San Diego. Street Parking is a challenge. It had been a long while since my last visit here. Made early reservations for brunch. Sat outside the sun shade umbrella patio nest to darling Digitalis Genus aka Foxgloves small fuschia bell shaped flowers with freckles, which I found enchanting and diminished the sight of the busy street named University. The host/hostess and servers were nice and accommodating. The server Sofia was very nice and pleasant. The menu offered limited selections for brunch, I ordered the Smoked Salmon toast and a Matcha espresso martini. Both presented appealingly and served with a smile by the handsome male servers. Smoked salmon was fresh and had lots of dill herb, pickled red onion, capers on a sourdough slice was delectable. The matcha espresso martini had a clipped on fortune cookie like message which read: You will find happiness but first you'll need another coffee,' a funny note :) The restaurant was crowded with people waiting/standing out the sidewalk for a table. So as a considerate person, I had my brunch along with some pics with my pup Fendi of course, left quicker than expected, although I would have preferred to lounge a little, perhaps have another drink. Enjoyed the brunch, appreciated the nice service and my overall dining experience was very good. Recommend

Flora was really good! I ordered the egg sandwich with a side of extra crispy potatoes and it was fantastic. My friend ordered the same but gluten free and she also had great things to say. We did not have a restaurant and walked right in and were sat. The decor was cute, French inspired, and dainty yet modern. Their servers are a team, so we were helped by multiple people (all of whom were helpful and kind). Parking is difficult in north park, but it was worth it! Would love to go back

Went with a large group for a birthday, service was good & attentive. Everyone agreed their food was good! My frittata was fine but lacked flavor. Most of our food came out at the same time but a few dishes came by the time we finished our food. Espresso martini was delicious but super tiny.

The food was great! Zero complaints on it. The hollandaise sauce was so creamy and plentiful, eggs + side of potatoes cooked perfectly! Ambience is also so cute; the restaurant is pink + plant themed. However, I have to bring it down a couple stars because they are terrible at checking in. The service is very poor in this aspect. We chatted away for 30 minutes, no exaggeration, before having to mention we were ready to order to a passing server. I'm not sure if they didn't want to interrupt our conversation or what happened. I met a few girlfriends here for Sunday brunch and thankfully we had reservations otherwise it would have been quite a wait. PARKING Not great. Very limited street parking or nearby paid parking that could be $10/hour. My friends parked near Vons and said it was a 10 min walk. FOOD A few of us got the Turkish eggs and it was DELICIOUS! My friend got the açaí bowl and another got the salmon omelette. DRINKS I tried their cloud matcha with almond milk & strawberry cold foam. It was pretty good CLEANLINESS/ SERVICE The place was decorated so cute that it feels like you're transported into Spain or Italy. It was a cute touch to have the servers all wearing overalls. I do wish they had more than 2 bathrooms since there always seemed to be a line but that's not likely within their control. It did take about 10 minutes to meet our server but we chatted for a bit anyway so it all worked out. Overall, I'll definitely be back to have my husband try the Turkish eggs. Well worth the visit simply for that dish!

Came here on a Saturday morning at 8:45AM with my wife and there were only a couple tables with people so we were seated right away. We were done at 9:30 and it was about half full and it was so loud. We ordered the Turkish eggs, egg sandwich, and the Brie french toast bites. Everything was good and the egg sandwich was huge, but the highlight was the French toast bites. It wasn't a full on meal like you'd be used to. It's good to split with others on the side. I'd come back just for that.

It was quiet and peaceful at first, but within the hour it definitely started to get busy. Parking in North Park is all street parking, but since we came early, we had no problem finding a spot about two blocks away. It was a nice little walk to the restaurant. The space itself is super aesthetic. I loved the decor. It is very pleasing to the eye, relaxing, but still colorful and fun at the same time. I went with a group of friends and I ordered the Turkish eggs and the matcha cloud. The coconut water in the matcha cloud was really good and super refreshing. The matcha itself was just OK, but overall the drink was still very delicious and refreshing. The Turkish eggs were my first time trying this dish and I was honestly so surprised by how much I enjoyed it. It was very flavorful, filling, and just the right portion. It came with crispy bread, oil, chili, eggs, and yogurt, and everything worked really well together. My friends ordered different types of Benedicts and they all said theirs were OK. I think I may have enjoyed my dish a bit more. Service was friendly, and even when it got busy, our water was always refilled and we felt well taken care of. I would definitely come back to try other items on the menu. Highly recommend this spot for delicious food, a beautiful atmosphere, and good service.

In honor of women's month, we wanted to check out something in the area and came across this place. Thankfully we made reservations as this is a popular place on the weekends. We were seated right away which was nice. It is a bit small inside but the way they have the layout they are able to get quite a few folks in. Plus they have a small patio of seats as well. The staff were all super sweet and I loved the decor. I ordered a passion fruit mojito which was delicious. My chilaquiles weren't that great which was a bit of a bummer. I've had them many times at other places without dairy, and never had an issue with them lacking without it... but for some reason these ones seemed to be needing something... my friend really enjoyed her chicken n waffles, so maybe I just picked the wrong food choice. Overall, cute little brunch spot. I definitely will be back for that mojito.

Went again for brunch today and did not like the shakshuka. Unfortunately I felt it was pretty liquidy & the eggs felt a bit too much on the raw side from what I expected. Additionally it was way too salty. I feel the combo of olives, capers, and the dish probably already salted was too much. I wouldn't order this item again but everyone else's food seemed good! I should've gotten the sandwich which I ordered last time.

Having made a list for San Diego's top 5 most beautiful restaurants, I would definitely agree! The decor is stunning. Unfortunately the breakfast charcuterie fell a bit flat. The orange ricotta was literally frozen and the eggs were ice cold. I don't eat meat so I didn't try the sausage or bacon but my friend didn't love it. Come for the ambience and go elsewhere for the food. read more

This place was phenomenal! The service was so amazing and prices are super reasonable for the portion sizes. We ordered the sausage omelette, breakfast sandwich, and the smoked salmon benedict. Everything was so delicious and perfect! The restaurant is beautiful and great for a fun brunch where you want photos or a nice ambiance. Wow! My husband and I had the most amazing breakfast here! Ocean, our server, was so friendly, warm and took great care of us. I ordered the Eggs Benedict and was thoroughly impressed! Many hollandaise sauces I've had at lesser restaurants are too thick and taste "off." But Flora's is light, fresh and heavenly. My husband got the Shakshuka Eggs and loved it. The ingredients and preparation of everything we tried were top notch! North Park is lucky to have this family-owned spot--we can't wait to return! read more

Staff were honestly quite rude. We went for brunch on New Year's Day and it was a bit loud and our server had obvious frustration when I couldn't hear him or when he couldn't hear me. Not very welcoming at all. Food was average. The restaurant itself has a very cute aesthetic though, just wish they had kinder and more welcoming staff. read more

First time doing breakfast in the North Park area. We selected Flora based on Yelp's recommendation. What a great experience! We arrived around 8:30am on a beautiful Saturday and were welcomed by the waitress with a great smile. Per the recommendation we tried the Egg Sandwich and the Salman Croissant Benedict. Wow, are they delicious! Besides the big portion, the look, the setup and the taste of the food, I will say, are beyond our expectation in a restaurant for the first visit. I asked my wife and she gave it a 10/10. We will surely come back next time in the future weekends. read more

My friends and I came on a Saturday around noon and surprisingly, it wasn't super busy. The host told us the wait would be about 20 minutes. I noticed open tables, but I understand this place takes reservations. I asked them to be honest about the wait because if it was going to be longer, we would have gone somewhere else. They reassured me it would not be long, so we stayed. We ended up waiting a little over an hour. During that time, I saw other groups being seated before us, even ones that arrived after we did. It felt like we were being ignored, and I had to stand by the host stand to remind them we were still waiting. Each time I asked, they said "just a little longer" or "five more minutes," but it was always longer than that. In the end, they seated everyone else first and we were the last party left. To make things worse, when they finally sat us, they did not even give us menus, I had to ASK for them. The servers were friendly and the food was decent, but the hosts were completely disorganized and unclear. The lack of communication and honesty overshadowed the entire meal. By the time our food arrived, I could not even enjoy it because the wait had already left such a bad impression. read more

Came here on a weekend and the place did not disappoint. Very quaint with a relaxed feel; decor isn't over the top and has a lively 'feel-at-home' vibe. Loved the ambiance and service, but food was hit or miss. I had the salmon croissant Benny which was good. My friend got the shakshukah which was unfortunately very bland (tasted like there were little to no spices used). I know this sounds ridiculous but it smelled so strongly of fabulosa that it made it hard to enjoy the food. Really takes over your senses. read more

Me and a friend came to Flora for brunch on a Saturday morning. There was no wait so we were seated right away which was nice. First thing we noticed was the decor was really nice. ALL of the staff was super nice and attentive but the best part was the food. Oh my goodness was the food delicious. The avocado toast was so flavorful and the zucchini blossoms fritada was soooo good. I will definitely be coming back for brunch again. The establishment is BEAUTIFUL. As someone who values the aesthetics just as much as the food, I had a wonderful experience here. Luca was our server; he was so sweet and quite knowledgeable. I asked that he surprise me and pick my dish; the smoked salmon croissant benedict was not something I'd normally go for but it was delicious. Matcha vanilla latte was also great. Try it. Meanwhile, we were sitting there with our purses shoved beside us and weren't offered the same courtesy. It may seem like a small detail, but combined with the lack of attention, it made us feel overlooked. The drinks came out quickly, and the chicken satay and mac and cheese were decent. Nothing was bad, but nothing really stood out food-wise either. The highlight of the evening was definitely the live music. The performers were fantastic and created a great atmosphere that honestly was the only enjoyable part of the evening.

I visited Flora for Valentine's dinner, excited due to the high ratings and glowing recommendations. Unfortunately, I was left greatly disappointed. Comparing their Valentine's Day menu to the regular menu, I noticed a $7 price increase on several items, even though nothing seemed extra special about them. I expected larger portions or something unique, but everything felt underwhelming. We ordered the wagyu meatballs, which were dry and lacked flavor. The sauce was bland and didn't help much. Then, we tried the ceviche, which came on a single tostada for $20 - and again, greatly lacked flavor Now, onto the entrees-- the Sous Vide Duck was decent. The meat was tender, flavorful, and paired well with the potatoes on the side. However, the other entrée, the pork skewer tacos, was a total letdown. You get two corn tortillas with two skewers of pork and a tiny side of sauce. The dish felt incomplete, as it really could have used some lettuce or veggies to balance it out. The pork itself had little flavor (tasted burnt tbh), and the sauce didn't complement it at all. It was a disappointing combination overall. Overall, the food was not good, especially for the price. I was hoping for a more impressive dining experience, but this didn't live up to expectations. Wouldn't return for a special occasion again. read more

Flora has officially become one of my favorite brunch spots in San Diego. My team brought me here for my birthday last week because they all swore by it, and now I completely understand why. I had the steak and eggs, and it was honestly one of the best dishes I've ever eaten. It was so good that when I brought my husband back the very next week, I ordered the exact same thing again without hesitation. My husband ordered the chilaquiles, and they absolutely lived up to the hype. He said they were some of the best he's ever had in his life. The food alone is enough to keep us coming back, but the service made the experience even better. Our server both visits was Nino, and he was an absolute treasure. Friendly, attentive, genuine, and the kind of person who makes you feel like a regular from the moment you sit down. Great service can elevate a meal, and Nino absolutely did that. Flora in North Park has a cozy vibe but left us with mixed feelings. We arrived 20 minutes late for our reservation, and though they didn't call, our table had been given away. Thankfully, they were understanding and eventually made accommodations for our party of five. We were seated and given water right away, but we had to ask three or four times for straws. The food was also a bit of a letdown. The eggs were undercooked, and the potatoes fell into that middle ground--neither crispy nor soft enough to really enjoy. I also ordered the fried rice as a side, but it lacked flavor and had giant chunks of bell peppers that felt out of place. One thing to note is they don't allow substitutions on busy days, which might be frustrating for some diners. The service was okay overall, but there's definitely room for improvement. Flora in North Park is a fresh and vibrant spot for a fantastic brunch. The place is always buzzing, and for good reason--the food is delicious, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. The staff is incredibly friendly, making sure you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Everything we tried was great, but the chilaquiles could have used a little more sauce. A dry chip just doesn't give you the full experience! That being said, the flavors were still solid. The coffee drinks were excellent, and the matcha was perfectly balanced--not too sweet, not too bitter. Just had brunch at this spot after dining at their sister restaurant I'm already planning my next visit. Their shakshuka eggs were incredible--perfectly spiced, with rich tomato flavor and gooey eggs just the way I like them. Bonus points for the warm, fluffy bread on the side to scoop everything up. And the lychee spritz? So refreshing! Light, a little sweet, and super crisp--definitely my new favorite brunch drink. Wow I was completely blown away by Flora! Not only is the restaurant absolutely beautiful inside, but the food and service were excellent. Everything is reasonably priced and great portions. The salmon Benedict and salmon toast were very tasty. We also ordered a table crepe. Enrico and Alvin treated us like royalty and provided us with a lovely experience. I live down the street and plan on coming back soon to try everything. This is by far my new favorite brunch spot. In addition, I heard they allow dogs not only inside but in the dining room as well which makes me really happy. read more

Well, 1st time; won't be the last time. Fabulous! Seriously, this was probably one of THE most decadent breakfast I've ever had in my life. I usually judge a breaking place by their French toast. Let me tell you this is beyond decadent beyond delicious beyond description. Just get the Canadian bacon to go with it. I was gonna get their burger but then again everything looked amazing. I had a coffee drink but I can't even describe with a Japanese coffee in any case place is beautiful inside bustling noisy great music good waiters definitely hip highly recommend read more

I came with my friend around 10 AM and the place was just for ourselves. We were not sure what to eat but our server Salvatore help us decide for the turkish eggs. Im a fan of the chicken and waffles so we decided to order both plates and share. Drink wise when I saw the menu I was straight ordering matcha espresso martini, and my friend had bottomless mimosa. We had such a nice experience here and if you're a girly girl, you will love it! We took pictures in every corner because we love aesthetic places with good ambience good food. I had the pleasure of dining at Flora this morning, my first visit . Beautiful interior design throughout entire restaurant, great seating, really easy to chat w/ friends, not too loud . Very sharp, attentive service, you won't run out of anything! The meal presentation was great , flavor across the board was great , my brother had some of their specialty drinks and stated they were delicious ( and they looked it)! I promise to be back for sure and I will absolutely recommend to anyone to come and enjoy this little gem of a restaurant!!! read more

The restaurant was decent overall, but nothing exceptional. The wait time for the food was much longer than expected. On a positive note, the food itself was very delicious, and the ambiance was quite pleasant. One of the servers seemed rushed and uninterested, which made the experience feel a bit uncomfortable. However, the woman who assisted me was extremely kind and accommodating, which I appreciated. I would consider returning, but I would hope for better service next time especially given the automatic 20% gratuity. read more

Flora is a beautiful spot with a great vibe and fresh, flavorful food. The ambiance is modern, chic, and cool. The only downside is that it gets packed on the weekends and can be very loud that it's hard to hear each other and even our severs. But the service is still fast and friendly. As for food and drinks, I loved the squash blossom frittata but thought it was more of an omelette than frittata. The cocktails were creative and refreshing, especially the lychee spritz!
