This is one of those places that you remember from your casual weekend trip years down the road... It was an absolute unexpected GEM. We went for brunch on Sunday of the Concours while were staying at the Omni. The brunch was from 11:30-3. We walked up to light jazz music setting the ambiance and were sat at a table with a beautiful ocean view. The brunch menu (for $40 a person) includes a buffet (more on that later), bottomless mimosas, coffee, an unlimited raw bar and entree of your choice. We felt that the value was incredibly reasonable for what we got. Simply put this buffet is out of a fantasy. Everything is fresh, beautifully presented and the variety is incredible. Quiche, biscuits, gravy, bacon, oysters, shrimp cocktail, grits, oatmeal, omelets made to order, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurt, sausage... You name it. We were overwhelmed in the best way possible. We felt even that we could get by with the just the buffet and this would have been a great breakfast... SO good. For our entrees we had the chicken and waffles which was delicious. The black pepper waffles and blueberry sauce perfectly complimented the chicken flavor. Bottom line: be ready to eat when you go here... But you won't forget it. read more

My sisters, parents and nieces and nephews were in town a few days before Christmas. We had Sunday brunch here. It was a rainy morning so we couldn't sit outside, but we were not disappointed at all. I didn't even realize many things were missing due to Covid. While the food was great, I was more impressed with the people that worked there. I haven't felt that much joy and kindness radiating from each and every employee that I encountered. I felt like I was at a personal Christmas brunch with family only. Were staying in the resort and had breakfast buffet twice. It was good but not awesome, and quite expensive for what you get. The omelette station was typical, though the server was quite helpful and friendly. The one unique omelette ingredient was shrimp and there were a good variety of cheeses. Good selection of breads and bagel but nothing awesome. Smoked salmon was fresh but again not that unique. Two kinds of sausage (patties and links) that were fresh and seemed homemade but neither were that flavorful. I enjoyed the bacon. The fresh fruit was very fresh and sweet. There were also multiple cream cheese options and interestingly a honey bar (5 types of honey). Sounded great but nothing was fine food, just very solid (and expensive). read more

Buffet breakfast was wonderful! They have a gluten free bread selection including English muffins, blueberry muffins, bread, and french toast. The ladies at the omelet station made delicious omelets that made me want seconds. The buffet included the normal southern breakfast items like gravy biscuits, bacon, sausage, eggs fantastic quiche, oatmeal and grits. Also fruit, bagels, all kinds of honey and jams, cheeses and antipasti. It was worth the $23 pp which included unlimited coffee and all sorts of juices. Outside seating is oceanfront and inside is beautiful. Can't really go wrong. Highly recommend the breakfast buffet. Staff is also really nice and helpful! read more

This restaurant located inside the Sunrise wing of the Omni hotel serves breakfast only. They have both a la carte and buffet options. The price for the buffet is $28 per person which includes everything from cold cuts, eggs, omelets, pastries, fruit, oatmeal, brewed coffee, etc. The a la carte items are also pretty pricey with an egg breakfast plate (includes eggs, choice of protein, potatoes and toast) going for $22. The buffet will definitely give you more value for your money if you're really hungry or a big eater. It's definitely a convenient option for breakfast with tasty food but be ready to pay a pretty penny for it. Service is friendly and attentive. read more

Nice breakfast place on property at the Omni. I chose not to take advantage of the buffet (I wanted something that wasn't on there) but my stepdad and fiancé did and they were very pleased. At $23 a head they felt the price was worth it. Fruit, ready made omelets, breakfast sandwiches, pancakes, waffles, grits, potatoes-you name it. The grits were absolutely delicious! I was on the company dime so decided to splurge out for Sunday brunch. Couldn't have asked for more really - bottomless mimosas, full buffet including omelette station (traditional proteins plus crab and shrimp), melt in your mouth red snapper and tuna sashimi, peel and eat shrimp, nice cured meat selection as well as all your favorite breakfast options. In ADDITION to this, you get to order off a special a la carte menu. I had the eggs Benedict which was served with prosciutto instead of ham. It was delicious, perfect eggs and light (not gloopy) hollandaise, but the meat choice did leave it a little salty. My companions entrees were good also - steak frites (steak a little over and somewhat chewy - great fries) and corned beef hash with the most amazing juicy Brussel sprouts I've tried. Couldn't ask for a better spot outside overlooking the ocean. Our waitress managed to get everything wrong on all four meals. After a short conversation with manager Colleen she quickly corrected all meals. The plantation breakfast with fresh eggs and extra crispy bacon were perfect alongside the crispy potatoes. Breakfast would probably be better if I didn't have dietary restrictions. Restaurant was Not too busy and the menu looked great with gluten free options along with a generous buffet. I ordered eggs Benedict. Supposed to be poached eggs with Canadian bacon on gluten free muffin ( on the menu) and it took a good 20+ minutes to come out. It came out on a regular muffin with the gluten free muffin on the side!! I couldn't wait any longer to eat so I just removed the regular muffin and replaced with the GF one. Thank god I don't have celiac disease, I just don't do flour or wheat. The eggs were hard boiled and not poached. Oh well. I'd give it a try again. read more

Th sunrise cafe is a beautifully kept quiet spot for breakfast. The views don't disappoint and the breakfast buffet is AMAZING . The selection on the buffet includes everything from flavored jams, to rosemary flavored honey, multiple kinds of sausages, make your own fruit parfaits, an omelet station and on and on! Was there for brunch after a friend's wedding and was very impressed. First off, they were very accommodating to our very large group that moved around and was not necessarily the most organized. The dining room is very beautiful with AMAZING views. They also have a beautiful patio veranda. The servers were very nice and patient with us. Now, let's talk about the food. I am picky when it comes to my brunch and I left full. They have a wonderful fresh fruit area that was a nice start. I got an omelet from the omelet station and it was perfect. The hot pepper/chili selection was a nice touch. They had some great pastries to choose from, but more impressive was the selection of fruit jams for the breads. First of all, if you happen to be staying at the Omni Resort at Amelia Island. This breakfast restaurant is a MUST! Beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean & sunrise right out the window BUT that's NOT the main reason to eat here.... Drum Roll Please....Miss Donnie makes the BEST omelettes I have ever had! In order to meet Miss Donnie you'll need to order the Breakfast Buffet. The breakfast buffet is located in the back of the restaurant in a separate room which is beautiful as well. Amazing selection of foods, homemade jams & homemade honeys directly from the property. Granted they also serve the common morning staples of eggs, potatoes, meats of bacon & sausage links/patties. Miss Donnie is somewhat of a legend on the property. She's been there since before the Omni bought the property & drives over an hour to work from her home in Georgia. She is a wonderfully peaceful & happy black woman who on most days cooks the omelettes. (Make sure you call before going to make sure shes working that morning if you want to experience this woman's artistry!) My story - I introduced myself to her & told her I heard she made the most amazing omelettes. A huge smile appeared & she replied "is that right!?". She asked what I'd like & I proceeded to tell her to make me whatever she wanted...that I loved great tasting food & pretty much would eat/try anything. I told her I like a like kick in my food & left it at that. Five minutes later, out comes my omelette. First bite & I was smitten. Amazing, fluffy & light with a definite kick. I can't say enough about how good this woman's cooking is. She came out to ask what I thought & explained what she put in my omelette. I gave her a tip as you could tell she cared about the food she made & trying to please me. Just a wonderful soul. The sad thing was I waited for the last day of our stay to visit this restaurant - I only wish I had found this place this first day as I would have had breakfast here & specifically Miss Donnie's omelettes every morning. It'll be hard to outdo brunch after dining alongside the ocean with the waves crashing in the distance. $23 AYCE brunch was, for lack of better words, gourmet and completely over the top! Featuring local honeys and cheeses, several homemade cream cheese, and quite a selection of jams/jelly. The omelette station and cheesy grits were my personal favorites. Stayed at the Omni Hotel this week so we had breakfast on site. We sat outside and very much enjoyed the beach. We had heard the omelettes were wonderful but ours were only average. The coffee was bitter, and neither of us could drink it. We had two glasses of orange juice and ordered a side of grits, each. When our food finally arrived, we were served huge bowls of grits with bacon pieces and cheese. Best part of the meal, but $10 a bowl. Had we known this, we would have just ordered the grits, easily a full meal. Our bill ended up being $80.00, to including a tip. Sorry, not worth the price. read more

The place is located in Amelia Resort . We were seated quickly and the servers were great . The buffet was pricey (expected as it is a resort restaurant). The food was good and the ambiance was great. They even have an actual honey bee comb! This is a great contrast compared to Oceanside resto which is also in the Resort! read more

We would have avoided this place but it was raining and it's a long walk from the hotel to the parking area. The food is way overpriced for what you get. Our server wasn't very pleasant either. I usually go to these places vs driving miles to get to another restaurant, but I can drive five miles, get better food and service, and cut our tab in half. read more

The breakfast buffet was fantastic. The food was fresh, hot, and nicely presented - even close to closing. The service was also incredible. The servers were attentive and very polite. They didn't hover, but they did 't disappear either. The dining area was clean and well maintained. With the view, there isn't a bad seat in the place. We tried Sunrise Cafe today for the first time since last May. Then we stayed at the resort and experience terrible breakfasts. We complained and never heard back. We tried it today to see if things had improved in 6 mos. It had not, in fact it was worse! We ordered omelets (advertised as made fresh) the Chef was less than pleasant when we ordered egg white omelets. He blamed his pans, said he couldn't make them bcuz other people had used HIS pans. I witnessed him throw 6 eggs away bcuz the pan was too hot. He cursed as he scraped the pan in the garbage. My husband changed his order to 2 eggs over easy, same thing, only 4 eggs in the garbage. I changed my order to scrambled egg whites. When I finally got my eggs they looked like dog food. Brown mushy mess. He let this mess leave his station. If the Chef could not make egg white omelets he should have said so and offered regular omelets bcuz I stood there and witnessed 2 beautiful omelets (he made) served to other people. We were furious and felt singled out. We complained and this time our breakfast was comped. (Muffins and fruit). Not that they care but they have lost a loyal customer. We let management know of our previous experience but received no reply. What's the purpose of a review or complaining if nothing comes of it? A 5 star resort such as the Omni should know better. read more

Great ocean view, food is okay-breakfast food so how do you rate that super highly. Waiter was great (from Tennessee) but check in staff was horrific. We went to this restaurant on the basis of positive Yelp reviews. If anything it was much better than the reviews. In fact if I could give 4 1/2 stars I would. The food was creative, imaginatively presented and delicious. The braised short ribs were superb. The desserts especially the peach cobbler were great. Wait staff was personable and helpful. The prices were much lower than I would have expected from a restaurant located physically within the Omni Plantation Hotel ($19.00 for the braised short ribs for example) All in all an excellent dining experience. read more

My family decided to eat here for Easter, as we had a party of 10 people and there was no time permitted to cook an Easter lunch. To say we were impressed is an understatement. Probably the best breakfast buffet I have ever had. You have to call ahead to get passes to get on to the plantation to go to the restaurant but it is worth the hassle. All kinds of meats and cheeses omelette bar with local shrimp. Local honeys. The biscuits and gravy are great. It's all good. I may have liked the breakfast potatoes the best. And if they don't have something on the menu you want they will bring it out for you. A little pricy at $22 a person but no charge for little kids. Also the plantation is beautiful and the restaurant overlooks the ocean. Overall great experience. read more

Breakfast buffet is a MUST!!!! Make sure you go on the emptiest stomach because they have everything from cereal to an omelet station (another must) with several options of everything to pick from. Excellent breakfast buffet!! The omelette station is incredible and the cook is so sweet! Great variety of fresh fruits, breads, pastries, and savory breakfast items. We ate here every day for breakfast while we were on the property. Friends ordered off the menu and said it was excellent as well, but the buffet is the way to go! The only negative I saw- stay away from the grits if you're preference is the traditional southern style- they're made with corn and aren't the greatest...but that's only my opinion.
