The cozyness lf this place is really a key factor for me, and why I like to come eat here so much. U can sit at their bar and have a meal and feel like you are eating at the breakfast counter in ur own kitchen. The food here is INSANELY GOOD, from their menudo on the weekends and their Mexican style breakfast or American style ones. Everything I have tried here is a winner for me. The staff is absolutely great and very friendly. They come and ask you if u are doing ok, and they are always refilling ur coffee. I really dont have anything bad to say about this place (and trust me, I would). Maybe the parking situation? (It is kinda limited) but it is so worth looking for a space to park causenu are guaranteed a great breakfast experience

Went early like around 7:30am and they were ready! We were attended quick and the food was delicious. The portion was decent for the price. It was the perfect way to start the morning with a cup of coffee and the news. The walls are decorated with pictures of El Monte from the 30s, which was really cool to look at. Would recommend if you're looking for a classic diner experience.

I found this small, cozy, warm, and cute brunch place in the neighborhood. I am guessing this is veteran/family own restaurant because of the decorations, which I like a lot. They have very simple menu. I ordered French toast and country fried steak. Food was decent, nothing too special about that. Our server is very friendly and attentive. Service was fast. Parking lot is small, but I was able to find a parking spot. If I want to have a lazy day on my day off and do not want to cook. I will definitely come back again to support local business.

So on Friday (6/19/26), I took a day off from work, too much PTO lol. I was getting my car ac fixed in the El Monte area and they don't open until 9 am so I came back to Flo's to have breakfast. Is one of my second favorite places to have biscuits and gravy. And their chicken fried steak is pretty good too, that's what I ordered. I ordered the black coffee and is really strong just the way I like it, you know the saying; once you go black you never go back ( it goes for something else too ;). lol). Chicken fried steak was nice, crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, is pretty thick with lots of gravy smothered on top. The biscuits and gravy was on point with the fluffiness, I wished I got two instead of one. Then I got 2 slices of wheat toast with butter and 2 sunny side up eggs. Everything was good, I sprinkled black pepper on everything, it tasted even better. The meal came with either hash browns or O'Brian potatoes, I didn't want that because I might be too full. I want to get a massage later after my car is fixed. So after a delicious breakfast, I still have 1 1/2 hours before the auto shop opens, what to do ? I saw on YouTube on how to really clean the glass windows on you car, to get it spotless. Mixed half water and half vinegar in a spray bottle and wipe with newspaper, omg, my car looks brand new lol it really works. Anyway, go to Flo's and have a great breakfast, all their items are really good and the owner is really nice. Until next time, maybe I'll stop by to try their lunch menu, I love a nice big juicy burger too.

I love love love love Flo's!! This place is a staple in El Monte, my parents took me for the first time when I was in elementary school and now this is my favorite place to take friends and catch up we ordered: green chilaquiles- 10/10 waffle with strawberries and whipped cream - 10/10 I always order their green chilaquiles with rice and beans, usually a hot chocolate too but it was wayyy too hot today. My friend ordered a waffle with whipped cream and strawberries and it was fluffy and light! Service and staff are always 1000/10 it's always a great experience eating here! I've been taking my friends here for years now, perfect place to eat breakfast and just talk and catch up. Parking is difficult in this small plaza, but you can park on the street and just walk over. We came at 12pm on a Sunday and there was no wait

Definitely a cute little Mom and Pop restaurant. My coworker suggested this cause it's quick and close to the job. The server was attentive and took great notes for each of our order. Came out with no issues. Fresh and well made. The French toast was prepared well and tasty. Prices were very reasonable too.

Honestly, this place is amazing for anyone who loves planes. These aren't your massive commercial…read moreplanes, though... we're talking about the little private planes where only a handful of people, or sometimes just one person, can fit. Some friends and I came on a Sunday afternoon and waited about an hour to be seated, mostly because we were a table of 12. If you're a smaller party, you'll probably get seated much faster. This place was packed, so you can definitely tell they're popular. There's both indoor and outdoor seating, but with a group our size, we were happy with wherever had a table open first. And of course, you get to watch the little planes take off and land while you eat, which makes the whole experience pretty unique. If you're into aviation, this is definitely a fun spot. Now, let's talk about the food. We ordered quite a bit, but the things that stood out most were the nachos, Annia's Omelette ($20), and the Club Sandwich ($16). We split the nachos amongst 12 people and, needless to say, they were devoured pretty quickly. Another plate of chips would have been perfect because we ended up with plenty of leftover meat, guac, and salsa but nothing left to scoop it with. A minor nacho tragedy. The omelette came with your choice of potatoes, and we got the hash browns along with a small stack of pancakes. The hash browns were crunchy on top and soft inside, perfect with a slab of ketchup. The pancakes were on the thicker, fluffy side, so naturally I drowned them in syrup and immediately felt a little guilty about it. The club was also really good. Crispy bacon, lunch meat, lettuce, and all the essentials. The string fries that came with it were freshly fried and nice and crispy. Everything was a pretty generous portion, and we left very full but with absolutely no regrets. Great food, generous portions, and planes flying overhead. What more could you ask for?

It is a bit loud because it stays packed. They offer table, booth, and outdoor seating. The service was fair. I felt it could've been a little better because our waitress only came to our table to check on us more and although my friend was getting his coffee refilled, they never asked if I wanted a refill on my water. My friend loves the Steak Picado con Huevos, substitute home fried potatoes for rice, beans, over medium eggs, and flour tortillas. He also added cheese on top of the potatoes. Since it was his favorite I opted for the same thing but with corn tortillas. The food was served hot but I was expecting it to have more flavor. The picado was ok. It was lacking spicy and was very tomato sauce forward. The meat was definitely tender and cooked to perfection. The beans were creamy but a little under seasoned. The potatoes is what lacked true flavor. They tasted like boiled red potatoes with no spice, no salt, no pepper, and there was barely any cheese on top of them. Over all it was a fair dish but it didn't scream out super amazing. Given the popularity of this place, I will be back to try it again. Every item on a menu isn't great, even at the greatest establishments. I know there's something I will fall in love with.

We also tried the refreshing cucumber agua fresca, & it was so light & refreshing on these hot days! For brunch, I went with the Machaca con Huevo served with warm corn tortillas, & it was perfect, exactly what I was hoping for. We also had to order the Berry Banana French Toast, & it was the perfect way to balance out our meal. Having something savory followed by something sweet is always the move.
