Cool little shop on a not so busy corner. Adjacent from the donuts, the parking lot is easy to park in and Flos shop is easy to spot. I ordered the red chilaquiles and a waffle with a side of bacon. Guys!!! This place was great! Yolanda and their team were so sweet, welcoming and accommodating. (Thank you!) I also mentioned my mom was visiting and she just turned 69! I didn't know this, but they were so sweet and came out with a dessert and sang to her. Mom is not use to that and was super shy, but I know she very much appreciated the attention. YAY!! We were able of 7 (4 were kids). We got the breakfast platters that were perfect! Pancakes had a nice chew in the inside with lots of tiny bubbles, the way I like it! That's how you get the syrup to soak in! Hubby got the huevos rancheros platter. It was great so we ended up order more! Plus half order of biscuits & gravy AND the French toast! We are a picky family of how hash browns should be. Lots of places do not have the same definition of breakfast potatoes. I ordered potatoes & chorizo plate and it was delicious. Since I don't mind sharing my meals, my brother and my hubby said my plate was was the best!! My hubby ordered the steak and eggs, but the steak was delivered in tiny pieces so he was slightly disappointed. My brother ordered French toast, eggs and bacon and he said it was good. I have frequent this restaurant before. The food is good and reasonably priced. My only issue: Without telling me, I was charged a service fee for using my credit card/atm card. The recommended tip was also based to include the service fee. When I questioned the charge and the timing, I was told that this restaurant is under new ownership and this is the way the new owner wants it. I decided to get French toast from a local coffee shop by my house. I called in the order and it was ready for pick up in 20 min. My order was ready for me when I got there and the workers are super nice and friendly. The inside is small but recently they a few years ago they expanded the restaurant. They have a bunch of pictures regarding the history of El Monte which is cool to look at. I've lived in El Monte since 1988 and this place was already here so it's a little gem of my city. The French toast was cooked perfectly and had great flavor. I got bacon and sausage which was good. Only minor issue is I wanted over med eggs and it was cooked a lil bit too long. I like my yolk runny it wasn't. Besides that everything is great. Obviously they are doing something right for their business to last this long lol. read more

The donut shop in the plaza causes most of the parking getting taken. They never look open but they are. Ordered to go. Food was ready as quoted over the phone. Waffle Combo - $10.45 - Ok waffle, was soggy. Comes will eggs, bacon, and sausage. Huevos Rancheros - $10.45 - Decent ranchero sauce, eggs were cooked fine. Comes with rice and beans. First time eating at this place, delicious and fresh food. Highly recommend, the service was on point. Constantly providing us with fresh coffee, very attentive to us. A waitress recommended me Sausage and egg dish, thank you once again. You definitely have good taste. I didn't catch her name, but mentioned that she spoke Portuguese. My hubs ordered pork chops and eggs, only to be greeted with tough shoe leather type meat. It grossed him out so bad he couldn't eat it. It was unseasoned and hard as a rock. I ordered corned beef hash, not too bad, but when the waitress brought my food she touched my toast with her hands to rearrange the way it looked on my plate.
