Has alot of very good vegan options for whole food plant based type of people. I've had the glow bowl, the mother earth bowl, and have since had the chili glazed sweet potato which I now dream about in my sleep, and the cauliflower risotto is pretty good if you can get past the fact that its really not rice, it has a mild coconut flavor and is vegan, but the coconut is nicely subtle, and creates a creamy base. The salmon is also quite good, I do wish i got an ounce or two more for the money, but its always cooked perfectly. Flower Child has a menu that is eclectic and interesting. The food is definitely fresh and consistently good. Chopped salads are delicious and just enough to fill you up! The glow bowl (sweet potato noodles, bok Choy, coconut milk, etc) is my personal favorite. It's not something I would ever make at home! You wait on line and place your order. Avoid FlowerChild Restaurant. Terrible management. Customer wait in hot sun due to fact the lobby was turned into area for To Go orders. There is no hostess, no lobby. No signage that you have to order before taking a seat. I sat at a table to wait for my party to arrive. I was told by waiter I had to vacate my table. When I told him no my party is outside and I have an important business meeting. I WAS TOLD I COULD take a table in the hot patio with no umbrella or VACATE THE TABLE OR THEY WOULD CALL THE POLICE. I stated there were still vacant tables available inside still and again they told me they would call the police. As I walked away my boss saw them give each other a high five. My boss talked to the manager after our business lunch and he gave a half hearted apology. No reason for such inexcusable treatment. I do many large lunch orders, and catering orders, from this location, and I am very pleased with the food and service I've received. There was one or two times I had order a salad that didn't always have many of the toppings/ingredients, but overall, they do a good job. The staff here are VERY accommodating of my special requests related to dietary preferences, and the manager has always accepted my catering orders that have been submitted with less than 24 hours notice. He's also been so helpful when I've had questions or ordering issues. The staff is always very friendly, and brings the food to my car. read more

I LOVE reviewing places for outstanding service-- Firstly, I am a traveling makeup artist and I always look forward to working at the retailers in the San Tan Village area SPECIFICALLY because I know I get to lunch at Flower Child. I love the convenience of ordering my food through the app, while I'm in between clients. I've visited a handful of times already and I always get great service but TODAY I received a very personal and memorable experience, and that was because of Javi. I ordered through the app today and ended up picking up my order almost two hours after I placed it because I got swamped with appointments last minute. Once I rushed to Flower Child, Javi and another sweet co worker greeted me and I mentioned that I was super late and needed to pick up my very belated order. Javi right away offered to reheat my food, to have a seat, and offered and rushed to grab me a cup of water. Within minutes, my food was ready and handed to me, ready to go. I love the genuine and high spirited attitude this restaurant promotes. You can really tell they love their employees. As someone in the service industry, I appreciate and always like to recognize. Like that they kept water jugs outside but could use some mist and chairs outside especially since there are many family with kids that come here. Went here the other day with a friend. Interesting concept. I got the chicken enchiladas and the lemon muffin. The menu is pretty confusing and I felt rushed because there were people behind me. Frantically, I just asked the person behind the register what they recommended. Lucky for me, she was spot on. The amount of food seemed light for what I paid, but it was pretty tasty. We were so excited to try this place, and this review is about the way the manager treated us, not the food. We came in on a very busy Friday afternoon, and my sister, niece and I were waiting on line for a bit. My 3 year old niece was having a hard time standing in the line and heat, so my sister took her inside while I was about 5 people away from ordering. My sister tried to sit down, and was told she can't sit until we order, since the policy is to order and then sit at a table. So she got up from the table, and saw someone working on their laptop next to her table with 3 open chairs, and kindly asked if her daughter could just sit in one of those chairs. This girl was so sweet, and said yes, and that she was actually about to pack up and leave. The manager and her staff took this as an indication that we forced this girl to leave and gave her a $25 gift card to thank her for being so courteous to us. The manager, Erica, and her staff were quick to judge us and walked around the restaurant making faces about us and to us of disgust and judgment. We completely understand the rules, but at this point I was 2 people away from ordering, and we just hoped for some degree of courtesy and an effort to understand our point of view. I work in the hospitality industry, and understand the frustration, but that it's important to treat everyone with kindness (unless of course they are being abrasive and violent). It would have been perfectly acceptable if the manager or her staff were to offer an alternate area to wait, or recognize that I was about to order, so we'd need a table very soon. The kicker is that, once I was finally *next* in line to order, they offered us the same original table my sister was told to vacate from. The brashness and rudeness of Erica was so off putting to us that we left. We came here to celebrate some special life moments between us, but felt so disrespected that we left. It's such a shame because we would have been regulars here if we were just treated with even some degree of the kindness the girl who shared 1 chair at her table for us was treated with. read more

We enjoyed our meal, definitely a healthier way to eat. The Singapore noodles had a nice curry flavor to them. Then vegetables had just the right amount of crispness to them. The thin jalapeño slices added the perfect amount of heat, and the fresh cilantro added the right flavor combination. The sweet potatoes were ok, but a bit too tangy for my liking. The added veggies added a nice crunch to the soft potatoes. The Brussels sprouts were very rich with flavor and countered the tanginess of the sweet potatoes. We've literally been counting the days until Flower Child opened in Gilbert and were not disappointed! What a welcoming vibe! Even though it was busy, we were greeted warmly and the line to order moved quickly. (There is also an app so I think we could have ordered ahead!) Super excited to get my Mother Earth Bowl (highly recommend!). My mom got the Cobb salad and really liked it. We both had leftovers- I love that the meals are big enough to take some home! My husband got a more specific order due to not eating carbs. This was the only thing that could have been improved. The cashier wasn't sure how they could make adjustments in the kitchen so kept having to go back and ask the staff if they could leave the grain out, replace sweet potatoes with Brussels sprouts, etc. When his bowl came out, they still included the grains which was a bummer. I know they would have happily fixed it but he didn't mind eating around that part! We LOVED the outdoor seating area. There were plenty of tables, fresh flowers on each and it was all in the shade during dinner time! Our food came out quickly and, while there is no table service, staff were circulating to make sure guests were taken care of. Saw this restaurant being built, so I had to give it a test run with the family. The wait to order wasn't too bad. I would around 10 minutes. Friendly hostess and staff. They have an exclusive Haze IPA on tap, which is exclusive to Flower Child. Very refreshing. My son ordered the chicken with two sides. Mashed potatoes? Amazing. Gluten-free Mac and cheese? Amazing! The chicken was also legit. I had the Rebel, which is a steak wrap. OMG! I'm not a big fan of steak, but this was cooked and cut perfectly. The horseradish sauce was more than enough. Oh my gosh I love it here. I've been here a number of times since they opened. My best experience was last time. The Asian male cashier was incredible. So passionate and knowledgeable about the menu. I loved him. I am gluten free and love eating here. The gluten free Mac n cheese is my favorite. The steak is amazing and tender. The Brussels sprouts are cooked perfectly.
