This place is really hit or miss for me. It almost seems like it depends on who makes your food as to how good it tastes. Just very inconsistent and I will say quite expensive for what it is. It's also insanely crowded and quite slow most of the time, it almost feels like people love the concept and want to like the food more than it deserves. The staff is super attentive & the food is made fresh. The second you order it the first chef hears and gets started and it goes down an assembly line of sorts. This was my first and probably last experience here. I ordered the winter grain and brussel sprouts salad to go as soon as they opened at 11am, thinking I need a quick lunch before picking up my kids at noon. I had heard excellent things about Flower Child but waited until some sense of semi-normalcy returned to the world to go. "Today was the day!" I decided. They were filling up with customers quickly so I was glad I showed up five minutes before they opened to ensure I could place my to-go order as soon as possible. I was second in line and was told it would be about 10-15 minutes before my order came out. Perfect! 20 minutes go by, I try to be understanding, they're busy, this might not be normal, maybe they're understaffed today, etc.. Well, more time went by (30 minutes at this point) and more and more people who were in line behind me picked up their orders and left, I started to wonder if I should get someone to check on my order. It took me another 5 minutes to get someone's attention to inquire about the order I had placed. She disappeared for a few minutes and came back, explained to me that my order "had just been passed on to the queue" and they're going to make it now. Are you kidding me? So I had waited for my order for 40 minutes now and they weren't even making it? At this point I'm not even sure I should wait for it as I knew this would make me late to pick up my kids. But I had already paid $15 to wait 40 minutes, what's a few more, right? They finally gave me my to-go order. The woman helping me was pleasant enough, apologized "for the wait." What also struck me during this time was that the same 2 women, although polite when speaking to all the customers, glanced in my direction several times during the whole time I was waiting next to the "to go" window stand but neither of them seemed particularly concerned with the fact they had someone standing there waiting for so long. No one thought to look at me and say, "is there something I can help you with?" Or "did you order yet?" Or "are you waiting for someone else?" The food is pretty good - good variety of complimentary flavors and it is obviously fresh, but I am First World Enraged at this point which severely tainted my experience and doubtful I will return. 45 minutes is too long for any customer to wait for any kind of order - especially a salad that doesn't need to be cooked but just ingredients thrown together. I recommend either Chop Shop (for a similar menu), or Salad And Go for a much faster and cheaper alternative. Their ingredients might be a bit more basic, but their ingredients are organic, their salads cost $6, and I have never waited more than 5-10 minutes from getting in line to having my salad in my hand! read more

However my food came out cold and my son barely touched his because he said it wasn't very tasty. We ended up having to stop and get him food on the way home. We order from here several times a month. Their app is easy to use and sometimes there's a a deal. It's a bit expensive but we've never had a bad meal and I like how they aren't using Styrofoam containers. I'm willing to pay extra for that. This is a great choice for couples with different eating styles. I eat mostly vegetarian and husband eats a lot of protein. He can get what he wants and doesn't feel like he's eating at a crunchy granola place (even though I know it's secretly good for him.) I often get the vegetarian plate and servings are huge; if I'm not as hungry I actually find the kids plate is perfect. Also I'm not gluten free so I'm always skeptical of gluten free mac and cheese because it tends to fall apart but in my limited experience, Flower Child has the best gluten free mac and cheese I've tried so far. I love how they are doing take out for covid at the lemonade stand and my order is always ready on time. read more

This is my favorite place to eat. Also my kids love the kids menu. The price for a kids meal is amazing considering it's real food and cheaper or the same price as a meal at a fast food restaurant. It's fast because my kids cannot sit there very long so it's faster than a restaurant and they bring your food to you while you sit and clean up your dishes when you leave. You don't leave a tip on the table but you can leave a tip ahead of time when you pay for your meal at the beginning. I do not feel gross after eating this food like I do other restaurants. It's clean food. I eat semi clean so I can feel the difference. read more

I had them lose a star because the prices are outrageous for the portions they provide for salads. On the other hand, food is very good. I enjoyed by butternut squash salad very much.
