Ambiance is lovely. Food not so much. We ordered the turkey rollup with "farm fresh fruit". Asked to split on two plates. Only one plate arrived with one napkin. The roll up was so-so, kind of dry; the fresh fruit was mostly non-existent. One half of one strawberry, one little chuck of pineapple and one half orange slice. Ridiculous and overpriced. The food is great, I have never personally stayed at the inn, but I have gone to the restaurant. The place is really nice, it has a pond, a walk thru garden. There is also a wine place as well as a plant and garden store that offers a wide variety of nice little plants and outdoor decor, I don't know if they belong to the business or are a separate entity on the premises. The restaurant has nice outdoor seating with shade as well as a bocce court, though the balls have been removed, probably due to covid. Also because of covid you need a reservation. The food was awful. You found a way to make fresh natural food taste bland and flavorless. The atmosphere was odd. The owner was rude. The whole experience was bad. I will not be back. Quaint, multi-purpose short weekend destination hang out spot that epitomizes the culture of Auburn. Whether you are there for the beer/wine tasting or an al-fresco brunch after a long bike ride this place is the place to be. The food and service is organic, fresh and local. Enjoyed the vegetarian omellette for breakfast. The bread was nutty, and super delicious so with an open afternoon I went to search for the bakery the toast came from. Haven't tired the beer/wine but the water feature would easily make the worst beer taste decent. Definitely a must on the regular "weekend brunch" spots for sure! read more

My fiancé and I toured the venue. We stopped here after he tour and had lunch. I had a classic blt and my Fiance had a panini with turkey bacon avocado. Each one came with a side of chili. That chili was really good! The BLT was made with the freshest ingredients and the thick bacon stripes were cooked perfectly crispy. My Fiance's panini was even better than my sandwich. I come here often (about 3x or more a month). The outside setting is very lovely and relaxing but I've noticed recently that the staff aren't as friendly. That's why I feel like I've been hesitant to come here just because of the staff. Most of them don't seem too happy and it really takes away from the relaxing feel of the place. I find myself reconsidering coming here whenever I feel like enjoying the property just because of that unwelcoming vibe from the staff. Lovely, bright, and energizing inside the cafe with lots of art and plants. There is a gazebo area thats covered and heated during the winter months, and plenty of outdoor seating. I've had breakfast here a few times and generally it was a good experience but my last visit and my attempt to reserve mother's day brunch reservations weren't pleasant experiences. The grounds are pretty and it was fun to walk around before we ate, but the indoor area was cramped for the number of customers and the bathroom air smell is noticable in the indoor dining area. I tried the musubi on the specials menu, but the rice was dried out and it fell apart immediately. Booking Mother's Day reservations was a miserable experience. I called on a Tuesday, was prompted by voicemail to leave my details to be added to a wait list, called back Wednesday to find out the message machine wasn't taken into consideration and I'd be added to a wait list, then received a rude call from a very rushed employee who needed information about time and seating preference and my credit card info for a deposit. Any delay to check with my fiancee for preferences was met with repeated "hello?" and "are you still there?" The cafe must be making a killing in Mother's Day reservation deposits if it's $5/person, and one day my party is lucky to be third in the wait list and the next day there's three open reservation times to choose from. read more

I've had numerous disappointing visits to this place, and though I didn't initially want to give up on it, I most certainly have now. First of all, don't be fooled by the word "farm" in the title of the cafe. I've seen a Sysco truck unloading food there on a couple of occasions, so the food is neither fresh nor local as its prices, advertisement and aura would indicate. A friend of mine once witnessed the girl behind the counter make orange juice from concentrate and sell it for 4 dollars a glass (and it's advertised as fresh squeezed from the farm.) Not very ethical? Also, the staff isn't very friendly or courteous to customers, or to each other for that matter! . They act as if you're bothering them. To top it off, I've heard the girls behind the counter have inappropriate conversations about their personal lives within ear shot of customers (one even started yelling at someone on her cell phone?) ... Oh... Also... the wait for food can be near an hour on weekends! So as a former regular, it's time for me to go to flower farm rehab... :( c'mon flower people, you guys could be so groovy! read more

I've had it with this place. I go here a lot because it's the only coffee place on my way to work, but no more. I'll leave earlier and go out of my way. They're SOOO rude here... I've had several experiences here, but I'll just share the last one (11-11-13). I went in and stood in line. It quite literally took the girl 10 minute to take the order of the two teenage girls in front of me. It wasn't a complicated order, she was really just being slow. When it was finally my turn, I ordered a large coffee with soy and a piece of pumpkin walnut bread. I got a large coffee with nothing (even though I paid for soy) and a piece of banana bread.. Without walnuts. Before I could say anything, the girl was gone. Disappeared into the back. So frustrating. Glad I paid $6 for nothing. Had the worst Mother's day ever 2023! We were seated by a tree full of bees. The person in charge was irritated that we wanted to move our table, which we did by ourselves andthe help of a nice waitress. I am allergic to bees. The food was horrible. I ordered the quiche which had runny eggs. I sent back and received the exact same issue. I did not eat. My daughter's French toast qas uncooked as well. The only thing we drank/ate was the champagne which was extra. Each meal cost $48 bucks. What a rip off. We had to get our own drinks and pick up our own food. We were not the only ones complaining. The table next to us waited an hour for their food which was cold when they finally were served. They refused to pay for their meal and the hostess agreed. I told my daughter's to dispute the charge on their credit card but they felt bad for the workers. We left our food untouched and went for pizza. We won't be going back!!!!! This place is so adorable and right next to one of my favorite local wineries (Casque). We visit the Flower Farm often for the great scenery and the amazing winery but we had never had a chance to grab food at the cafe until a few weeks ago. I was really impressed with the menu; everything looked so fresh. They have your standard cafe offerings, like soups, salads and sandwiches, along with some baked goods and even some wine and beer. I grabbed a sandwich for my husband and I to split, which came with a side of fruit, and it was definitely enough to curb our hunger. The inside of the cafe has a great atmosphere but the weather was so beautiful that we decided to enjoy our food at one of the tables outside by the winery. We had a bottle of Casque's wine, our yummy sandwich, gorgeous weather and the beautiful surroundings of the Flower Farm's grounds. Such a perfect spot! read more

Flower Farm is amazing with a capitol A!!! My friends and I are avid cyclist and sometime start our ride over at Flower Farm for it is the perfect location between Auburn and Folsom. The ladies there are very sweet, they accommodate to all of your needs, the food and coffee is amazing! The place is beautiful with lots of fresh flowers and cute chickens walking around. They have nice fresh water with fruit in it that you can fill up your cups with, they even give us water for our bike rides. The place is very clean and homey. What a wonderful place to have a wedding! [The wedding venue in the back] The place is really rustic and everyone is nice. The layout of the venue is more intimate and fits about 200 max people. I realled enjoyed the staff who hosted the place and the amount of space for dinner tables, DJs, parking, everything! The wedding area is an outdoors area with a tree as the center. The reception area is a giant barn like building that is spacious enough to fit a good amount of people. Overall, a recommended place for a venue. What a big disappointment. I've been looking forward to trying this place for quite some time. But, the cafe was Extremely Loud even though there was only one other table with people at it. It was full of flies, there was no water in the self serve water dispenser, and no clean spoons in the coffee station. I paid just under $12 for a tiny snack sized pear flatbread at a cafe with no table service, which if I'm being generous, had maybe 5 thin slices of pear on a desert plate size serving. Also, my hot apple cider was cold and there were no paper towels in the bathroom. I will not be back. I am giving them at 3 because the outside atmosphere and gift shop are cute. read more

This past weekend I threw my little sisters baby shower at the flower farm café. The whole experience was magical! The grape vine behind the café was right next to a pound and was so beautiful. The staff went above and beyond to make my sister's baby shower special! The staff was so friendly and nice! I came early to help set up decorations and while I was setting up they even offered me ice water and also offered to help in anyway they could! I highly recommend the flower farm café to anyone looking to have a beautiful bridal shower or baby shower. My sister was so unbelievably happy! I have been coming here since a kid and have always enjoyed the ambiance of the flower farm and the convenience of it being close to my home. I actually even got a job offer from here once! As the years passed I recall being able to roam around and enjoy the beauty of the estate and also being a great customer and buying a lot of their food and trinkets, always! But yesterday I came here with a close friend to take just a few pictures for Mother's Day (as she is a new mama to her new born baby) and I have always had a great love for the farm along with her and her family who came often. It was all about to go great until the owner asked me if I had asked permission, I very nicely said "oh I'm so sorry sir, it was very last minute and you guys were closed and I've come here a lot past closing and have never been told I had to ask, but your right I should of and I apologize and will do so next time." Which I totally get! I should have out of respect; but he proceeeded to talk to me like a child and was so condescending and rude it made my skin crawl. AS A BUSINESS OWNER I know the best thing to do is always make your customers feel important and respected no matter the situation, but I was so understanding and apologetic and after making himself very very clear he proceeded to tell me i was extremely inappropriate and was so snappy and rude all we wanted to do was leave and never come back after that. Even though I wasn't exactly right for not asking permission I think the way he handled it was really rude and unwelcoming... and clearly I'm not the only one who thinks that based off of some of the reviews on here.. We went to the Flower Farm for breakfast recently. Covid protocols were still in effect at the time. The restaurant features a limited breakfast menu, but the food was healthy and good tasting. Everything was being served as box meals (Covid) and the food and drinks were quick to arrive. This place got pretty crowded by 10 am on a Saturday. The wait for your food or specialty coffee is usually long here (especially weekend mornings) but the coffee and sandwiches are great. I'd say best coffee in Loomis. Cool atmosphere, plenty of places to sit and relax. Great place to let kids wander around. Fresh cut flowers and sometimes veggies. I almost always pick up something from the gift shop. This is the best place to bring kids during the fall and winter holidays. Skip the busy pumpkin patches or photos with Santa at the mall. They do both here and it is never busy. All this and a pretty good nursery. I've also toured their wedding/event center and it looks very nice. Much to be enjoyed here. read more

We absolutely love the ambiance of the Flower Farm Cafe. It has an adorable outdoor seating area which a grape arbor and a cute gift shop. Unfortunately the service is terrible. It is very popular on the weekends especially so management should plan for this by adding extra cooks and wait staff. We waited almost an hour for our food and then the soup was cold. The food is yummy when it is hot. I asked for a to go box and the girl at the counter smiled and nodded at me but then walked away and didn't return. I stood there another five minutes until someone else asked if I had been helped. I repeated my request. She reached under the counter and handed me a box. It's really a shame because the potential is there for the best little local place ever. read more

The Flower Farm Cafe pretty much blew me away. The staff are so friendly, the food is fresh and filling and all the beautiful scenery tops everything off into an all around great experience. If you live in the city and would love to get away but can't afford the trip, just take a short drive to this spot and you'll get a relaxing fix(they also have a bed and breakfast that is probably nothing short of wonderful). My all time fav coffee/salad/cozy location to meet with friends. The owners are always friendly and helpful. Other staff is fantastic as well :) Sara and Julie often work the counter are super fantastical and always have a smile for customers. The food is always good. All local and seasonal items on the menu. I like to add food suggestions but honestly everything on the menu is yummy. I mostly order a seasonally topped salad, a baked good (baked in house) from the gluten free selection and a cup of loose leaf tea. All super amazingly tasty! Love it here! I come here for breakfast about twice a week and usually order a berry smoothie a cappuccino, and the 2eggs breakfast or the french toast. Their breakfast comes with fruit, which is always fresh and seasonal. I also love that their tomatoes are homegrown. The staff is always sweet and recognizes us when we come in! When I bring my little ones, they are so happy to fill their time wondering the gardens, or searching for lizards near the pond and rocks. It is a peaceful way to start our day. read more

We went wine tasting this weekend at Casque Wines. While we were there, we found out that the cafe delivers food over. It worked out great. We ordered some soup, salad and a sandwich.... We were able to enjoy the home made soup on some nice chairs next to the fire pits. The prices are food, several options... Perfect while splitting a bottle of wine...
