We gave him cash as we don't use checks and he remarked that with cash he didn't have to worry about paying taxes on it and asked if we needed a receipt. After he left, we thought about it and thought that we should not have paid as much since he didn't spend as much time as he had anticipated and he wasn't going to pay the sales tax. When we questioned him about it, we were told that if we wanted the tax money ($50.00) returned then we could not have a receipt. We wanted a receipt to show the break-down of his hourly rate and parts so we could determine how he still came up with $500.00. His wife insisted that the charge was correct since he charged $125.00 an hour. It seems that this contractor makes up his prices as he goes along and does not provide a breakdown of how his prices are calculated. I checked with another customer and found the same vague billing practice. We have no complaints about his work (hopefully we won't have any future problems since we have no receipt or guarantee of his work) but his work ethic is questionable and we will not use him again or recommend him to anyone.

Right on time Saturday morning we have two Rooter Tech, plumbers here and ready to go. Our water heater stopped working properly last evening (12/14/22), my husband did some reading and…read moreminor diagnostics and came to the conclusion that it needed to be replaced due to age and tank issues. I found convenient water heaters and plumbing on yelp that very evening and requested a quote around 6pm not expecting to get a call within minutes, but that's what happened. I had also requested quotes from 3 other companies who at the time of this review still have not reached out to me regarding my request. I spoke with a gentleman named Casper who walked me through commonly known problems of older water heaters, he had me send a couple of pictures of our unit and measurements, and discussed the process of replacement and a rough guesstimate of the cost. Casper confirmed he and his partner could come the very next morning to get started. Promptly at 9am the next morning Casper and Jesus were here and ready to work. They were both very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. They had the old water heater pulled out and they swept up and cleaned around the space and put the new water heater in place in what seemed like no time at all. We did a rundown on how to properly maintain our new water heater, went over the warranty and when we said our goodbyes they hauled our old water heater away for us at 11am!
