Now it's been a long time since I have ordered a pizza for delivery but the NBA finals were on, didn't feel like cooking and I'm starving! I don't think I have tried this place before. I load up their website, set up an account (pain in the butt) and order a 12" pizza...a very expensive 12" pizza! I did build my own and man things ad up fast!! I selected thin crust hand tossed and built if from there, some tasty veggies, nothing special! Result, a very very average very expensive pizza! If this is what they consider thin crust I know I would not order their regular crust! Now pizza is a big thing, so many different takes but this is one that I don't know if I would bother with again...that's just me...and my $39 with delivery. Yeah, NO! KT read more

Stopped in today for "it's your day". My daughter has an unique name so we know she'll never have her name selected for these cool daily events but we got lucky cause it was born in September day. We headed in around 7 and it was pretty chill. We got to place our order right away. The gentleman that was helping us out was patient while my daughter was looking over the topping options. We ordered an extra pizza besides my daughter's pizza. It's plenty for the three of us. My husband got a 10" pie with half salami and extra cheese. My daughter got Italian sausage and a mix of veggies on her pizza. My husband's pizza came out first. Honestly, it looked over cooked and half of it barely had cheese on it even though we were charged for extra. The part that had the salami had a good amount of extra cheese. The other half of the pizza was dry and disappointing. My daughter's pizza came out shortly and it looked like night and day compared to my husband's pie. It was loaded with toppings and the cheese was nice and melty. It looked devine! I had a slice of each pie. The slice from my daughter's pie was delicious. The veggies, sauce and Italian sausage was all fantastic together I did eat the less cheese slices off my husband's pie. I wanted him to enjoy the good half of his pizza. It's just sad that he couldn't enjoy it all. I wanted to say something but my husband is really sweet and didn't want to fuss about it. We always have such great experiences here but today's pizza was disappointing. I know we will be back cause Flying Pie pushes out great slices but hopefully next time our pizza won't be so dry and cheeseless. read more

Doesn't deserve 4 stars. I was fine with an hour and half delivery. Arrived a hour after that, cold and seemed old ingredients. Worse tasting pizza I've ever had. Worst than Ceasars, that's bad! I used to live out here years ago and Flying Pie was THE go to place to eat! The pizza is incredible. The employees were so kind and helpful, I just love having nice conversations with the people here. The environment is fun and delicious. The restaurant can get packed but it is worth the wait. 10/10 would certainly recommend! read more

After some consideration, I edited my review because I realized that calling names was stopping to a low level that doesn't accurately reflect on my character. Always great service, great atmosphere, and - above all - great pizza! The Fromage-a-Trois has been my favorite for years: From the menu: "For all but the fussiest kids this is a yummy step up from a plain cheese pizza. It's got an amazing mélange of 3 different cheeses: Provolone, Smoked Gouda, and Sharp Cheddar, on our famous Red Sauce, with a light sprinkling of Italian Herbs." I just had the opportunity to order from this location for the very first time today. I was ordering a simple 12-in pepperoni pizza. The pizza came without any pepperoni, and it was cold. Further it was the worst tasting Pizza, for a "cheese pizza" (given no pepperoni) that I have ever tasted. Domino's blows their doors off and I know what that means when I say that. I will not be ordering from these guys again. I am actually had Flying Pie pizza order from a different store at another person's house, and it tasted fine. UPDATE to the review I posted below...The manager responded immediately to my Yelp review, which I very much appreciated, AND Flying Pie had in fact given me a full refund the day after the order fiasco. I hadn't even checked because I was informed that I'd have to contact DoorDash for that. Bottom line take-aways: don't use DoorDash (they sent me 25(!) texts that night); pick up your pizza instead, and check the pizza to ensure you got what you asked for. Changing my review from one star to three stars. ### I ordered a pizza for delivery. It arrived without the main ingredient, Italian sausage. I called the store and they said they'd have another one to me in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later - no pizza. I started getting texts from 3 different #s asking if my pizza had arrived (1 or 2 were from Flying Pie, the other from Door Dash). They offered to make a 3rd pizza or refund my money. I asked for a refund. They texted me that I would have to take that up with Door Dash, and then they all went radio-silent. No further communications. So I was out $55. I thought about putting together all the texts and emails and phone interactions and sending them to a manager at Flying Pie and Door Dash, but in the end decided I didn't want to spend any more energy on something so negative. Perhaps our favorite pizza chain in the Boise area- and this location for takeout was no exception. Pepperoni bread (and ranch) and the no Veggie pizza are some of the best cheaper eats in town. We ordered ahead while driving in from San Diego, brought it back to our room, and enjoyed it all. Don't sleep on this local chain! read more

On the way to a local brewery, my friend notices her name on the sign at flying pie. If you don't know, Flying Pie has a promotion called "It's your day" basically if your name is on the sign, you get a custom 10 inch pizza, that you also get to make for free. Pretty cool, right? Naturally, my friend was excited when she saw her name so we turned the car around and went into flying pie so she could make her pizza. We were immediately greeted with rude and condescending attitudes. The place was completely empty. There was no one in there other than four male workers. They were clearly irritated that we were there to participate in their promotion The male standing around at the cash register informed us that the name on the sign wasn't valid for that day. He went on to tell us the name was still on the sign because it had snowed. Now I'm no sign expert, but I find it pretty absurd to imply the snow causes trouble so massive it renders one incapable of updating the sign. Snowboarding, sledding and shoveling walkways are all examples of activities done while snowing. Pulling off something as basic as an ollie is far more involved than removing a few letters from a sign. I've owned a retail store and if I had a sale, I couldn't imagine treating my customer like garbage because they came to participate in my sale. If I left a sale sign on something that was no longer on sale, I would honor it. My customer is not responsible for my mistake, I am. After trying our best to understand such flawed thinking, register guy thinks he's going to save the day by offering a small discount on a pizza that my friend would make herself. Taking part in a promotion with a crew of employees that are well versed in customer service skills and basic common decency is a totally different experience than a foursome of feckless grouches, irritated with your existence, glaring at you while you do their job then add a whopping 10% discount as if they were doing my friend some favor. Unreal. False advertising is unlawful and has been reported to the attorney general. Treating customers so poorly is embarrassing for the company and for the individuals representing the company. My friends and I most certainly will never be back, and this was our go to pizza spot. Perhaps an investment in a digital sign might save you from making the same mistake again and losing even more customers. It's a pretty sad day when a little Caesars hot and ready has more integrity than the local pizza shop that you've continuously supported. read more

I was seriously craving pizza one night and decided to order from Flying Pie. I wasn't super sure what to expect, being from out of state. I was very pleasantly surprised at how delicious this pizza is! The crust was just the right balance of thick, but not so thick you can't taste the toppings. Nice and crispy, and excellent flavor! I had the Pesto Primavera, and I will definitely order it again. Next time I will get a smaller size, because I literally could not stop eating this pizza- dinner, snack, breakfast, and lunch (tech tip: leftovers reheated and crisped up very nicely in the air fryer). The pizza isn't good enough (in my opinion) to cost what they charge. I've eaten here probably 5 times and never really been impressed. Personally if I'm paying this is not an option. There are far better places with better pizza at better prices. Edit: in response to the owner comment. This review was not my way of trying to get something for free or even discounted. Love, love The Flying Pie!!! I've been a customer for over 33 years and they keep getting better! Above and beyond the superior quality of the pies, awesome employees and restaurant experience (retro pizza parlor ambiance) I love the fact that if I buy two pies and pick them up myself the second is half price. they also have a quality beer selection... I doubt I would of ever learned about raspberry lambic (and pairing it with a quality dark chocolate) if it were not for the staff at Flying Pie... Yet I wanted to experience their take on Detroit pizza one last time before they lock the doors for good. Yesterday, I called to order a Detroiter pizza, my go-to pie since they opened, for takeout. The woman who answered the phone asked to put me on hold for a "short wait." Ten minutes later I was still on hold and hung up. Today, I decided to try again. I called at around the same time, 4:30 p.m., which normally has not been a busy time there before the dinner rush starts. This time, I was told to call back. What? So I went online and ordered there for pickup. I got an email back immediately, saying my order had been submitted but that it wasn't confirmed until I got a second email with my pickup time. More than an hour later, I'm still waiting for that second email. What a horrible operation they've become. Their pizza was excellent in the beginning and I didn't mind driving across town to a convenient location near the airport to pick up one of their pizzas. But as their quality slipped, I found myself going there less and less. Today's failure will be the last time I try before they close forever. All I have is the memories from better days.

So, I kept mine on the pan.

I should've taken the hint when I saw the help wanted sign on the door. Whatever made this place special is clearly gone. You do one thing here, pizza, and it's not that complicated. I should be able to expect quality every single time. RIP Guido's. I'll always remember what it used to be, but I won't be back.

The margarita pizza was so overcooked the cheese was melted into the pizza and the basil leaves were wilted and yet crispy at the same time. I had a fourth of one of the cheesesticks. I didn't want to get too full when I still had meatballs coming. My meatballs were so good! It was generously covered in their marinara sauce. It was rich in tomato with a slight heat to it, so good! My friend's chicken parm pasta was a generous portion! I probably could have made 3 meals off of his plate. We got to order our within 15 mins for our appetizers but had to wait another 30 minutes to order our main meal. an Hour later we were able to order our entree and that is unacceptable. We waited so long, we asked for our boxes and meals to go before it was even served to us. I really wanted to get this place more stars but at this point it's probably a three star if not a 2 1/2.
