Honestly since we got here 6 years ago, this has been our go to for great pizza, it was great before the rona cuz there was a delicious salad bar, but now even without it the pie is still fantastic and the service is even better, they're always very friendly and go above and beyond read more

My family and I decided to go here today for a late lunch, around 2:30pm. We ordered cheese sticks and pepperoni sticks. And had personal pizzas for each of us. The cheese sticks were good. My Samoa pizza was not very good. The sauce tasted like cheap pasta sauce. There wasn't very much flavor even though it was a Hawaiian type pizza. Maybe the ingredients were old? My kids didn't like their personal pizzas either. Theirs was cheese and pepperoni, the sauce was also cheap tasting, very bland. They need to add some spice to the sauce or something. It's lacking a lot. For my first time eating at this place, I am not very impressed. The server was nice. But the table next to us had a couple there when we arrived and those were the only other people there. They left shortly after we sat down. There was a small group of people that came after at a different table, but for not being busy at all, the table next to us stayed dirty the whole time we were there, till we were trying to leave. Ever since it came under new management, this place SUCKS. Got SICK after eating there. When I picked up the order the other day, I took pictures of the back area. FILTHY AS PHUCK. Going to call the health department this coming Monday. Avoid this place. And the staff is CLUELESS. This place used to be the top notch place to go. But NOT ANYMORE. As bad as Dominos is, it's better than this place. And that is saying a LOT. read more

The sauce, cheese, meats, taste fresh. It's good to know they use local meat and product. The combination of cheeses tastes yummy! I really like the soudough cheese sticks dipped in the sauces that come in the box...The staff has fun while whirling the pizza! Swing by this abode before heading to the hawks stadium (also wrote a review for that, check it out). It was good and pretty quick. Those not from boise should understand that this place has been here forever. Id submit its a boise gem, pizza is good and it has that pac northwest grung. They also have a good selection of beers on tap which makes it even better. If you're wanting pizza but not from a major player I'd highly recommend this place. Get in early as well to claim your free pizza if your name is on the board...They only give a few out daily. read more

Hadn't been to this place for a couple years, and something has definitely changed. Ordered 2 large pizza's for over 60 bucks. Mine was a phosgo supreme, and it was just alright. Kind of doughy in the middle and the cheese was barely melted. Got my wife the vegetarian, and all the vegetables on top were still crunchy (as in not cooked.) We have an air fryer oven so she was able to finish cooking the pizza, but for premium prices I really don't think we should have to finish cooking the food when I get it home. Although this pizza joint isn't close to down town it's worth the drive. You're going to find a open kitchen and friendly staff covered in a thin layer of flour. This may not be the nicest place in town but is screams authenticity. I payed $30 for two 12' pizzas and waited at the bar while they were made. Wait time was approximately 25-30 minutes. The pizzas were delicious mad with authentic ingredients with generous portions of toppings. read more

My wife my niece and I ate here we all ended up sick. As we were were eating to two young kids cooking were yelling and goofing off throwing dough back and forth to each other letting it hit the ground then they were kicking a can of what appeared to be pizza sauce around on the floor. Dar has gone to this Flying Pie location many times over the 30+ years in area. So, my last review was pulled off because I guess I pointed out that the employees working at this location, and other FP locations, are for the most part lacking in hygiene and handling food correctly. Now, it seems to me that they must have complained to Yelp and Yelp feels they must censor someone's opinion and truthful interactions with this establishment. To be greeted by downright disheveled employees wearing the same gloves to cook, prep and ring up customers, must be way too much truth for those at the establishment and at Yelp, to handle. What was once good pizza with an eclectic slant, is now less than average pizza with sauce and crust issues that waver on simply bad representations of either. Then to now be greeted by political statements when walking in, it's enough to lose yet another customer. read more

I have to admit when I first came to the place, I was like saying oh no the outside looks really nice, but the inside looks a little hippie for me. They need to replace the tile because it looked really dirty. I thought the prices of the pizza were quite high for the diameter of the pizza, however one thing that I did not know is they put a sh*t load of toppings on it which made the price of the pizza worth it. One thing to note that if you buy a 12 or 14 inch pizza you get the 2nd one for half price off. however, it does not apply to th 10 inch nor the 20 inch pizza for some reason, I guess they will loose way too much money if they did it that way. Anyways I ate like a pig for $20 dollars got the 12 inch diameter pizza for $17 dollars and pretty much it had pepperoni, ham, olives, tomato sauce, peppers. Our family often enjoys heading into this flying pie to meet our friends on this side of town. It seems a bit smaller than the other one but the food is perfect, no different from the wonderful pizza out of the fairview store. We always get a pitcher of triple pie and spend an hour or so. The staff is super friendly and even stops by to talk about gardening or just see whats up if they get a break. Love the colorful array of people they hire, its the best part of visiting (on par with the pizza of course) and we are never treated poorly! I always get the pesto primavera and my family gets the no-veggie pieway and we are both equally satisfied with our choices, from the spectrum of vegetarian to carnivore. It seems they use prime quality ingredients across the board. The place is super clean and the only downside can be the parking on a busy night! read more

Best Pizza in Idaho, I'd heard on Thrillist, and saw they'd been featured in USA today and Man Vs. Food. So when I went to Idaho as part of my "50 States Before I Turn 50" bucket list cross-off, I gave it a shot. I tried the No Vegie Pieway which had five kinds of meat and it was excellent. I also tried the garlic chicken pizza, but it was too garlicky for me. To be fair, the menu mentions there's a lot of garlic, so...I can't complain. I had this delivered to my hotel room and the pizza was delivered a few minutes ahead of the window I was given...which is always a plus. read more

This is where you go when you want hippie pizza. I think you can even get a vegan pie with hemp "cheese". A lot of my funky, fresh, friends have worked there. They don't have slices whenever I want one even though they have a sign indicating when they do. I've never seen it on. We went to their sampler night where they cook up a bunch of random stuff from the menu and you pay a flat rate for all you can eat. Some of their selections are a bit too cheezy. I felt sick because I pushed it. I can't believe the photo that was posted for this place mentions the habanero pizza. Watch out for those damn habaneros. They are really hot! A friend who worked there over-habaneroed and it was not pretty. I like the fact that they support a good work environment for the employees. read more

Great pizza and a fun atmosphere! Tuesday evenings are the best: Gourmet Pizza Night! It's all-you-can-eat salad bar, breadsticks, pizza, and a dessert pizza. Their pizza selections are wonderful! I like the Bermuda Triangle (3-onion) and the Garlic Chicken pizzas the best, but the Broccoli & Tater is growing on me! I make a point to try at least one bite of every flavor offered at Gourmet Pizza Night, and I'm often pleasantly surprised that I enjoy pizzas that I normally would not have ordered. The salad bar has a modest number of selections, but plenty of goodies to make a fresh & tasty salad. The "It's Your Day!" is a total blast. Keep an eye on their sign or Web site to find out when it'll be your day. They have a person's name or an attribute (Dad & I went on "Been to Switzerland Day"). You get to make your own pizza, for free, any way you want it. Make sure to honk the horn on the way out if you've enjoyed the experience. This is the place! I Love Guido's in Boise so much (not to take away form this gem!) The field these two play on is so different. The best toppings and cheese combos can't be beat. The week side is the bread sticks with sauce. The sauce is a bit too thick. Like tomato paste. The salad bar begs for something like beets or something sweet (even canned would be fine). It's a bit pricey but worth the attention to detail for pizza. Staff is top notch and the beer is cold. I can't ask for much more than hot sauce at the tables. Great pizza. A little bit pricey for what you get. Good food for sure. $20 for a medium sized pizza isn't such a. Good value for the money. It wasn't exactly life changing. Pizza above average. Not forgettable. Just not a go to in the rotation place as they don't even offer daily specials ever. Meh. Probably won't be back. Staff wasn't friendly when I walked in and the girls at the front register were gossiping about a previous customer. Average experience to be honest. All the best however. read more

The sourdough crust is bomb and both of the pizzas we had were tasty combinations. The salad bar was very limited and was messy, but I wasn't getting the salad bar so this didn't concern me. Would def go back for the pizza. read more

Completely unprofessional, had to stop going there because *apparently* my phone number was connected to an old member's account, of someone who worked at the strip club next door. So everytime I would try to place an order, they would loudly announce that I was "xyz from Satin Dolls", even after I insisted that I wasn't. This continued with a judgemental tone everytime I got pizza and this one person in particular took my order. This was dangerous for me, just in case anyone *did* think I was "xyz from Satin Dolls". Friends of mine have been stalked and harassed (particularly in this area of town) for much less. The whole experience has made me super uncomfortable, and now I can't eat your delicious pizza :( read more
