All in all, everything considered, these guys have to deserve five stars. The sushi is fresh and the fish cuts are very good (and plus, you get to pick your desired piece out of many). In 2024, it's really hard to find such a quality to price ratio, especially in downtown Bellevue. Well priced options have come and gone. So when I saw them review bombed for a purported incident (which could have been anything down to kombu garnish used on sushi that does 'move' and curl up -- people should search what real ones look like) I had to update my review. The portions they give are super generous. A large bowl was enough for dinner and lunch the next day for me. I got all salmon, and it was really fresh despite going at the end of the day. There are a lot of different options for toppings. I didn't realize all the toppings were free except the avocado, so next time I would definitely ask for all the toppings. There's not a whole lot of distinction between the spicy crab meat and the crab meat, but I can't handle spicy very well so I didn't mind. Parking downtown is nearly impossible, so be prepared to walk a couple of blocks. Service is neither friendly or unfriendly. The employees do their jobs competently and serve you. This place may look like every other poke place, but FOB Poke Bar is anything but! Husband and I came here during their 1st week of opening, and were greeted by a friendly group of poke makers and a plethora of colorful choices to build our very own bowl! Since we haven't been to the Seattle Belltown location yet, we were impressed with the variety of toppings and mix-ins! During their first week, they were offering a BOGO which is incredibly generous to begin with, but once you see how much food they fill those bowls with, it's even more wow and amazing! We went with regular FOB rice bowls with a variety of their ahi tuna, hamachi, seared tuna. It's so easy to add everything in front of you, but alas, we practiced restraint. Can't miss toppings and mix-ins include: seaweed salad, crab salad (both regular and spicy), fried shallots, avocado. The FOB sauce is a good base if you're new to poke or want something that's equally salty and sweet. As I mentioned before, they are extremely generous with their portions! I'm a huge fan of their spicy crab salad and they have often added 3 scoops of that creamy goodness. You gotta treat yoself! :) Pricing at $11.99 for regular, $14.99 for large, and $8.99 for salad is great for the quality and freshness of not only the raw fish but everything else. Don't let the location deter you from going. It's a little hidden due to its spot in the former Expedia building, but look for a blade sign off of 4th right near the entrance. Parking next door at Key Bank building is free for 30 minutes. I've already been back several times and look forward to when they offer online ordering. My dream came true. You'll see in my Seattle review I've been Wishing out loud that fob poke would open up on the east side. The only poke around here is another chain that I really do not like. Like to the point where they've texted me discount codes and I would still rather drive into the city to get fob instead. We discovered that a chain opened up in Bellevue. We stopped by last week and the workers were so nice. It might be a dollar more than the prices in Seattle but this could just be a 2021 thing. The entrance to the restaurant was a little hard to find, you enter through the side door. I love that we can get unlimited toppings and the fob rice is to die for. It's so nice and clean and it's located in a Bellevue commercial building. There's different street parking options available, but no designated parking for this building. LOVE THIS PLACE! Although, parking might be a little difficult to find (if you want to park free). There's a Chipotle nearby where you can park and walk there to get this for to go. It is located in an office building.. so it might be difficult to find in the beginning. There are seating inside the building. But we got mind to go and had it at the park. Highly recommend going to Bellevue Downtown park! Their regular size is pretty big. You can choose different bases. I got mine with the spring mix and I can choose a dressing to go with it. They also have the FOB rice option which is pretty good. You can pick 2 proteins for the regular and mix it with the sauce. I love their fob sauce and spicy mayo Avocado is an additional charge. Can't go to Hawaii for some delicious fresh Pokè but glad FOB opened close enough to home. Bellevue has many poke places but FOB so far has been my favorite spot. Like an other poke bars they have many options as well, but the quality of the products and the variety of meat is unmatched. First week of opening they had a BOGO deal which was awesome and you could try many varieties of poke bowls. I tried the mashed spicy ahi and salmon with tons of add-ins. You have some what like 21 options for add in and sauces. Took a buddy from work who was new to poke and he literally stood there selecting all the add ins. He wasn't disappointed. This space is located in the Expedia building where the old Tangerine Thai place use to be and is very conveniently located across from my building. It's clean and they are taking and following all covid measures. The team at FOB are super friendly and feel free to ask them about their favorite mix-ins and bowls. Highly recommend this place. The only poke spot that I go to because you can choose as many toppings as you like with no extra cost. I usually frequent Capitol Hill since it's close to work. However, the Bellevue location is my favorite spot out of all locations! They have the nicest staff! My little brother dropped his regular bowl so we went back to order another bowl with the same toppings. The male staff added 6 tamagoyaki, triple scooped everything, and gave it to us for FREE. Came here for Sunday lunch and was surprised with how quiet it was inside. There was lots of seating inside the building and the ambiance was really nice! The ordering is pretty easy as you would just go down the line choosing what you want. The proteins I chose were the salmon and the seared ahi tuna. The salmon was amazing and I thought the tuna was alright. There are unlimited toppings as well which I definitely took advantage of. Compared to other poke places on the Eastside, I'd give it an above average. The veggies were in good shape and the fish were pretty good. They kept the toppings bar clean and orderly. The wasabi aioli was a bit bland, but I added sriracha sauce on top of mine and it worked fine. The couscous/quinoa was bunched and hard so if I went back, I don't know if I'd get that again. I've tried Poke all over the East Side. Though this place seems good because they give you so many sides and options for the flat price, the truth is that the quality of their fish is far below that of top Poke places. The Ahi tuna at FOB is cut into very small pieces, much smaller than that of what I consider top Poke spots on the East Side, who have better quality fish. The Ahi, which is one of the most popular Poke fish, is very fibrous and many pieces are chewy. This is an indicator of lower quality fish/cut. Ahi should be butter smooth. The Albacore and Salmon is also cut into tiny pieces but has less of an issue. Their bowls are packed to the brim with the base, be it rice, or greens. When I ordered a large bowl, at least half of it was arugula and the bowl included a minimum amount of fish. This of course is in comparison to one or two of the better local competitors,l that have excellent quality fish cut into bigger pieces and fill your bowl with the fish, not the filler. read more

Good stuff! I'm on a quest to find the best local poke bowl place. Has not been easy (there are so many!) and the search isn't over just yet. But I'm here to linger a bit longer at FOB. I like how they offer daikon and watermelon radish. The crunchy texture is a nice add to the rest of the bowl - all mushy and mashed up. It's a bit pricier than other places so far but they won't nickel and dime you either for extra serving of toppings. And the staff: they are so super efficient and focused.
