Went for sushi; left with a FULL belly! From the parking garage the elevator opens up to a nice modern lobby which leads into the restaurant. It wasn't too busy on a Thursday so there were plenty of places to did. I'd say their offerings are well done. Good presentation as you add your selections to the black box. There are smaller containers available, but who are we kidding? ...not much to say about service here: it's self service so not a lot of interaction. We drove to Bellevue from Lakewood so this probably won't be a regular spot for us, but if we're in the area again it's a definite contender. We recommend FOB! read more

I really wanted to like the sushi bar more! The sushi is constantly being refreshed which is great. They also did great that each person gets their own personal tong to grab their sushi pieces. The staff is friendly and efficient. The reason I gave 3 stars was because the rolls really all tasted the same since they add so many sauces to the tops of the rolls that you mostly get spicy mayo overpowering the rolls. The nigiri sushi is probably where you want to get more of your selections. I had the salmon and scallop and they were decent quality. The inari I had was good, again high on the Mayo so didn't get much salmon flavor. So overall, the sushi lacks flavor variety, but it is beautifully presented. Super good poke spot with lots of options! The menu is huge and they're generous with their portion. I got the spring mix with tuna/salmon with spicy mayo. I regret not getting the mango side, my friend ordered it and I tried it from her bowl... it was so good! The restaurant is a good size and have lots of seating. There's also some seating outside of the restaurant in the lobby. The coworkers were super friendly and the service was quick. The only flaw that I can find was that there's absolutely no parking! We looped it 3x and finally found a paid parking lot to park in. We did see a garage parking for the building the poke restaurant was located in, but the gate was closed for some reason. read more

I loved it. I often eat sushi and I consider the rolls very good. I liked the rolls because they had an interesting combination of ingredients including different kinds of crunchy stuff and tasty sauces. The nigiri was only so-so because it's hard to make money selling top quality fish by the pound, you just can't. We calculated the price of each piece to be $1-2 and you simply cannot sell great nigiri at those prices unless you're a tourist in Japan right now. Apart from that, service was quick, there were no lines when I went, there was plenty of seating around and the staff were friendly. I would definitely come here again. I got home 5 minutes after getting it and ate right away. I was vomiting violently all night last night and it had to be from the sushi. I do not think they change their sushi when it's been sitting out for a while. They have poor food handling protocols. I will not be going here anymore and I strongly recommend you don't as well. I knew of FOB before they opened in Bellevue. A lot of people talked about it. But I never tried it until around now. I was used to another poké chain before I moved to the west coast and since it was in Bellevue (where I live) I was satisfied. However, my former chain stopped selling mango as an option (which I really loved). So pettily I decided to take my talents elsewhere. The first time trying FOB was through UberEats after a long day. At the time, I didn't know the location but it was quick and I enjoyed eating with (they have zesty mango). After researching, I decided to visit in person as it was even closer to me than I thought. If you are a person who a) lives or works in Downtown Bellevue b) uses the Bellevue Transit Center for commute and needs something to eat, this place might be for you. Especially on the latter since the available restaurants in the area in the evening has decreased due a) construction b) COVID c) many food choices in the immediate area of BTC are typically open only for business hours (9 am - 4 pm) As mentioned by others, the location could be hard to miss especially if you aren't intentionally looking for it. With the construction, I imagine going here and finding this place with a car might be a different kind of difficult: parking/navigation). The entrance I used is downhill on NE 4th Street and you have to walk through a lobby to get to the actual location. When I visited in person, a couple was there eating a bowl but I didn't inquire about its dine-in policy The people inside the location were nice and very willing to answer my question. The fridge is to the side of the counter so you can pick up the drink of your choice. They have many options. And label items so you know what is being added. One thing that I should mention is that how they do their bowls is different from what I am used to. In other places, a certain portion of items are mixed together (ex: mixins other than the protein and the sauce like fruits). In my bowls at FOB, mostly everything is separate (see pics) so if you are a person who likes that amount of separation, it would be great. I would add that if you get a large, you might find it hard to mix the items in the plastic bowl due to the wonderful helpings they will give you. So I would recommend placing it in a separate bowl if you care to have certain things meshed together. Overall I like this place and I can find myself going back and trying new options read more

Welcome to Bellevue, FOB Poke Bar! It's always nice when these Seattle spots make their way east. I've had FOB Poke Bar in their Belltown location, so was happy to learn that they are now in downtown Bellevue, as they have solid poke with all dem toppings. Like with most poke spots, you can build your own bowl and the choices are much more at FOB. You can get two scoops or three scoops of poke, with a variety of toppings and additions with no extra charge. Yet, they do have premium toppings and items for an extra fee, such as the avocado or getting unagi as one of your proteins. But that's not anything new. Located in what was once Expedia, this location is bright, new and modern. There is seating inside, as well as seating in the lobby of the building. It was kind of lame the night I visited I spotted many people eating out in the lobby of the building, since indoor dining is not allowed. But clearly these people didn't care. BUT ANYWAY... Staff were friendly. As soon as we walked in we were greeted and they let us know how it worked, with what we could choose, etc. I chose the large bowl, which included three scoops of poke. For my base, I chose the quinoa and couscous and spring mix and went with the seared ahi tuna, yellowtail and salmon. The house sauce is a soy sauce based with ponzu, so went with that and spicy mayo, which they said was their most popular sauce combo. And I loaded up on the fresh toppings, like pickled daikon, watermelon radishes, mango relish, etc. It was nice that they had some unique toppings, unlike some other poke places nearby. Food tasted fresh! The large bowl was massive, so couldn't finish it. But it was definitely tasty. Fish was good. I liked the seared ahi tuna the best. The only minor issue is that I wish they'd cut their fish just a tad bigger, so I could taste more of the fish instead of everything else in the bowl. The pieces are cut smaller than what I prefer. But hey, the fish was fresh. I liked the quinoa and couscous base, which is something not many poke places have, and the sauces were nice and light, especially with the chilled toppings. Overall, it was a great poke bowl. And you'll want to check out FOB by January 19th, as they are doing a Buy One Get One special, in light of their grand opening! Sweet. Customer service at a low level. Throughout the year, I've always purchased sushi in Seattle. The staff there is welcoming, cheerful, and friendly. However, the experience in Bellevue has been completely different. Before the previous Bellevue location closed, I shopped there several times. I always purchased large packs of sushi, usually around $70-$78. Very often, they didn't offer or even provide a bag. It's inconvenient to carry everything to the car along with sauces and utensils. After the Bellevue location closed, I only went to the Seattle store. Now that the Bellevue location has reopened, I've started visiting about four times a week, spending the same amount as I always have. Today, I purchased sushi twice, spending around $70 each time--once in the first half of the day and again closer to the evening. In the evening, I didn't have enough money on my card to leave a tip, so I didn't leave one. The staff, first of all, didn't provide or offer me a bag. When I asked for one, the girl threw the entire sushi set into the bag carelessly. This is terrible service. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to the Bellevue location--only to Seattle. The sushi is excellent, but if you don't leave a tip, your food is just thrown into the bag. read more

Hands down the best Poke place in DT Bellevue. Fresh ingredients, fair prices, great portions. This is a regular spot for me that I find myself coming back to again and again. They are consistent, which is something I really value, because I know I'm going to be happy with what I get every time I come here. The staff was so nice when I picked up and everyone was so happy. Picking up can be tricky though because there is no street parking on the block FOB is located and they don't have a public parking garage, so you'll need to park far away or find someone to go with you and circle the block while you head in. read more
