We had a great dinner at this restaurant. We tried the Miso Cacio Pepe, Meatballs and Beet Carpacio. We got a couple desserts too: we loved the blood orange olive oil cake with vanilla gelato!!!! Everything was delicious, fresh, and interesting. The service was great and very fast as well. Very cute place; would suggest making reservations as it's a small restaurant

Anchovies - try with their homemade siracha

First time in Providence? Looking for something special to eat? Well look no further, Amaryllis is here waiting for you. I was desperately seeking for a place to eat that could fill my appetite and mood. Not being from the east coast I was tired of fast food joints, gastro pubs and lots of cosplay gourmet restaurants! Make your way down here and just get a whiff of what they are cooking in this makeshift kitchen. It's pure magic! I had one of the best meals ever in this charming little restaurant. The menu is varied and there is something for everyone. I had the anchovies and Lamb Chops and topped off desert with some homemade chocolate (so yummy!) For a minute, I thought I was dining in Barcelona or even Tangiers. The flavoring and detail to their food deserves the praise given here. Fresh plates cooked with an exquisite combinations of flavors. Be sure to ask for the homemade sriracha! The menu is beyond reasonably priced and the service from the two owners is exceptional. If you want to feel special and have a memorable meal - this is the spot. I promise you will be back. I will

Wow! This place is fantastic. The setting is intimate but with great people watching on Westminster Street. The food is innovative, fresh, and beautifully presented. And the BYOB option means you can have what feels like an extravagant meal for little more than $100 for two. We had the salmon ceviche, baked saganaki cheese over fresh squash and pear, and crab risotto. And we still had room left for TWO fantastic desserts -- ricotta panna cotta with spiced pears dipped in chocolate and olive oil cake with lemon curd. Every dish we had was wonderful. The folks at Eno, the wine store next door helped us find the perfect bottle of wine to pair with our meal.

Our first time here. This place was highly recommended by many people we know, and now we understand why. We decided to go for our anniversary dinner . The food was amazing, with lots of different flavors! Staff was nice and attentive as well. Definitely get the Salmon Ceviche, braised chicken thighs and Olive cake for dessert! We'll be back again !

    Small but excellent place

Small but powerful. This eclectic menu draws from Asian and Mediterranean cuisine in interesting ways. A bread salad uses caraway seeds to give texture to corn and tomato while a salmon crudo includes Smokey grilled romaine as a foil. Loved the vinaigrette's on both. This place feels like a vegetarian restaurant with its emphasis on fresh produce but they do have a few meat mains and you can add on all kinds of proteins to their pastas and salads. Service is fine for this micro restaurant where the kitchen is the size of a small bedroom. You can see it all with a birds eye view if you sit at the indoor bar. We chose outside on a warm summer evening. It's byob but with the wine store next door its a breeze. You get great wines without the markup ... we had a lovely Sancerre.

Wow! Amazing and interesting food! Lovely owners and what a bonus to be able to BYOB!

    New Years Eve Tasting Menu

I recommended this business but gave it 3 stars because it had huge potential but fell short in a few areas. We chose Amaryllis on New Years for an early-ish dinner to avoid the mess, later. The entire dinner was vegan which made me very happy. The starter was exceptional. It was a mushroom polenta thing (not the way the server described it) that was divine! Creamy, mushroomy, warm and satisfying. I was excited for a delicious, vegan meal. Sadly, things went downhill after that. We had a celeriac soup with apple and turmeric. It tasted good but was luke warm and not visually appealing, lumpy and a cement grey color. Hmmm.... The next dish was a kale and sea vegetable salad. Now I love veggies, all kinds of veggies, always. The kale was very hard to chew, almost impossible. It was tough, stringy and inedible. There was a small amount of warm-ish seaweed at the bottom of the dish with some sliced Persimmon on top. I love persimmon but when I got to the second piece, the label was still on it. Boo! The next dish was a mushroom pasta dish, very garlic heavy but raw garlic - why? Also, it was cold. Not intentionally cold, forgotten cold. Bummer. The next course of delicata squash with ginger was yummy. A bowl of tiny squash in a warm broth, perfect for a cold, rainy night. Dessert was chocolate pot au crème which was creamy though slightly grainy and solid. I did like the bitterness of the chocolate... Maybe we'll try Amaryllis again. It had potential with its cute decor, tons of succulents in huge windows, miss-matched crockery and rustic feel.

The location is spacious with lots of seating available. There's both indoor and outdoor areas. The only area for improvement is the pricing structure. The two of us ordered just a glass of wine and a raspberry froze, and the total came out to $42.32. What bothered us was the automatic 18% hospitality fee, followed by additional tip lines on the receipt. That felt excessive given we ordered a glass of wine and a pre-made frozen drink, at 4 PM on a Thursday. Overall, the drinks were good, but the added fees left a negative first impression for us.

We both ordered the Classic Smash Burger, one with cheese and one without. Unfortunately, both burgers were utterly tasteless, with virtually no seasoning detected at all. The Chomp Sauce that was supposed to elevate the burger was so sparse it barely made an appearance, leaving the burgers bland. Honestly, the bun was the best part. The brussel sprouts I ordered also lacked flavor and seasoning aside from the char, and his Cajun fries were so salty they were nearly inedible. After driving from Massachusetts to Rhode Island as a special Mother's Day treat, it ended up being a very disappointing experience, especially given the overwhelmingly positive reviews. We may have caught them on an unusually busy night, but unfortunately our meals fell far short of our expectations.

The more formal dining area is in a separate space. The place has a conservative old fashioned vibe with dark paneling, well spaced seating with comfortable chairs (a plus indeed!) and although full allowed for easy conversation (another plus). Our server, Jodie, was cheerful, attentive and efficient. The piano player starts later which on this occasion suited us fine. We ordered drinks to start with: a Hakuna Mojito (in recognition of the Lion King where we were headed to next) for my wife and a glass of Pinot Noir from Elkton Oregon - all which suited both of us. We also had a large bottle of Pellegrino to wash it all down. A delicious Burrata, bacon wrapped scallops, well done crispy fries done just right, and a dish of Rabe and White Beans. The last is something that I would not have ordered but we decided to try it - I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by it. A dish worth having. I had to end up with a decent espresso. The check came to $122, paying with a credit card for the two of us, a little more than I expected but well worth it. We left our server a tip of some 24%. One of the hostesses was an absolute doll. We loved her. We sat for just a little while waiting for appetizers, and my wife discovered that her ASS REALLY HURT, badly, and mine was getting bad too, due to my lack of natural cushion back there. My wife stood up and never sat back down. She noticed a 4 top leaving and asked the hostess if we could move, completely unaware of the challenges this can pose the crew during the course of business (changing table numbers in a POS isn't always as easy as it sounds). But she agreed it should be ok. They were busy, too, and I heard that they had some staff call in "sick" after a wild 4th of July. So they took care of us and I was really grateful for that. My Mexican Corn Chicken Sando was ok... the flavors kind of got mixed together on a way that it didn't really taste that awesome to me. The wife loved her Huevos Rancheros, despite the hair she found in it (after having them change our seats, she was too embarrassed to say anything about that) and the tortillas that were so Chewy, they were inedible, she really enjoyed it. Our daughter really really liked the poutine a lot. All in all, I wouldn't rush back here, but I think our main complaint was the accursed seating. Aside from the high top, man, on the regular seats you're just sitting on a flat block of wood. McDonald's has more comfortable seating, and McDonald's intentionally makes the seating slightly uncomfortable so you don't just sit there forever, taking up a table. Anyway, it was alright. Every restaurant has its difficult days (and it's difficult customers!).
