Well hello stranger! Yeah you! Yes, I'm talking to YOU!! The one Reading this. Right here. Right now. So I gotta ask, Are you happy? And not just right now, but All Day Long? If the answer is... Great! That's what I like to hear! But If the answer is No. Then I just gotta ask. Why limit your happiness to just a certain time of day? Why does your happiness have to have limits, maybe set to just an hour or two in the late afternoon or early evening? Cause who just wants a boring "Happy Hour" anyway? Well luckily, all of your troubles have been solved! Cause at Fogo de Chão in 1000 Oaks, they've got Happy Hour, ALL DAY LONG Baby!!!! ***THIS REVIEW IS SOLEY FOR ALL DAY HH, NOT FOR THE BRAZILIAN AYCE BBQ & BUFFET*** Yeah baby, from open till close, a menu dedicated to making your stomach happy and your wallet even happier. Fogo de Chão's All Day Happy Hour has now entered the chat. -------------------------------- Back In March 2025, a date night was planned with our favorite date night peeps; you know who you are! My wife and I got there first, we grabbed a table and you know we got started with a specialty cocktail until our friends arrived. First Look: The outside was very elevated. The entrance was Grand. And everything inside (from the white table cloth, black napkins, fancy glassware and thoughtfully curated flatware that was methodically placed on the table), I could tell immediately that we were in for a treat and I couldn't wait to get to enjoy the HH eats & drinks. Being that everything was so reasonably priced on their HH menu, we all went to town and got a little bit of everything for everyone at our table to enjoy our night out on the town (see pics for descriptions). The food was tasty. Portions despite being off the HH menu were still good for sharing, and the drinks were all solid. The service was decent, I'm sure they would have been more attentive if were were eating the AYCE Brazilian BBQ, but all in all it was fine. We will definitely return one of these days to do the traditional meat on meat on meat bbq where they will keep bringing you hot meat on skewers until you flip that red No Thanks cardboard circle over on your table. But until then, we will for sure keep hittin their All Day Happy Hour cause being Happy is so much better than being Sad! So.... Who's ready to meeting up for Fogo's All Day HH!!!

We had a large part of 10 and we were able to make an easy reservation online for a Friday night. The staff were very welcoming. We dove right into the beautiful salad bar and enjoyed a wide variety of table cut meats. Everything was delicious and the attention given to our group was definitely noticed. Our water cups were always full. Clean plates provided before we even asked. And the delicious meats kept coming until we could eat no more. Definitely visit Fogo de Chao for a wonderful evening of food and fun.

Of the four Fogo de Chao locations I've been to, the one in Thousand Oaks is easily the nicest. Unfortunately, similar to my experience at the other locations, the customer service can't keep up with what the ambiance and price point demand of it. There was one Gaucho who was flat out rude, but for the most part, it just seems like employees aren't well trained. That being said, there are a few who stood out because they provided the type of service you expect when you're spending close to $100 per person. The salad bar was regularly refilled and the endless variety of meats were constantly offered to us, but this location does seem to over salt their meat. Fogo de Chao in Thousand Oaks is a great restaurant for special occasions. I can't wait to come back and feel the Picanha in my belly trying to pop the button off my jeans!

This was an amazing foodie experience and I highly recommend! An absolute MUST! Such a fabulous dining adventure here at Fogo de Chao! This location at The Lakes in Thousand Oaks is so nice... plenty of parking, beautiful dining room and beautiful patio seating as well. The service is great! The hostesses kindly greet you when you walk in and literally right when you're seated the server comes and introduces herself and for us first timers, offered a quick run down of what their dining experience is all about... BIG SHOUT OUT TO OUR WONDERFUL SERVER SARAH! She was a doll! So thorough and attentive throughout our meal. We never felt rushed or forgotten and she went out of her way to make sure our dinner was awesome as did the rest of the staff throughout our time there. Not overkill- just professional and friendly. The food! Was so good! We started with their seafood tower which was excellent! The lobster tail, (4 small quarters-a few bites each), was so good! Also included 4 tasty claws, about 8 shrimp, some crab legs (very messy and hard work to get the meat out) and very fresh tasty mussels. I wish they included oysters and I also wish they'd serve the crab already shelled cocktail style. I think $112 is overpriced and only because I'm comparing it to Mastros which offers about the same amount of seafood including oysters and a large helping of crab cocktail (and no mess) for $80. Still I do recommend it just be prepared for the mess :o) The Market Table & Feijoada Bar is amazing! So much to choose from and so hard to not over eat! Included with the meals whether you choose an entree or the full CHURRASCO which is where they're constantly bringing a variety of meats to the table! 2 of us had that and 2 of us ordered the SINGLE CHURRASCO CUT with top & bottom sirloin *excellent! Then of course we finished off with an espresso martini and shared the Brûlée Cheesecake oh my gosh drool drool! So good! This truly was an amazing dinner and clearly I recommend it! Very pricey (personally think it's a little overpriced) and honestly not a restaurant I'd come to other than for special occasions and we don't mind spending money on an excellent dinner but for four people w/drinks and an appetizer you're looking at a $500 meal! Enjoy!!

Prescott gave us some of the best service we've had at a restaurant. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel special. You can tell he really cares about his guests and takes pride in what he does. We'll definitely be back and will be asking for him again!

I'd been wanting to go back and take Dear Hubby to enjoy this very special re-imagining of the previous space, which had been an Irish pub incarnation. When our sister-in-law and two nieces were in town, the five of us were able to spend a quick evening together at Selvin's. We had been working on a project at our house, and by the time we got finished and ready to go out there wasn't a lot of time left as we went on a weeknight and they close at 9:00. I'm surprised that having a full bar, and being attached to a hotel property, that they would hang it up so early - even 9:30 or 10:00 would make more sense. It's such a charming place; seems a shame to have to call it a night so early. The ambiance is absolutely divine, especially out here in suburbia. It's very innovative in its layout. The lighting was carefully planned and is very effective in creating a special mood. And, what can be said about the wall of roses? It's tailor-made for snapping fun photos, that's for sure. The chef is sending out creative and Dee-Licious dishes from the kitchen. Yes, I know how to spell delicious, but it is worth adding the accented flair to stating the fact that this is a cut above many other dining establishments in the Conejo Valley. Dear Hubby and I shared Pappardelle Pasta and a Tuna Tartare appetizer. Both were excellent. One of our nieces ordered the taco platter. Wait till you see the photo. The only thing that was disappointing, menu-wise, was that bread wasn't included, so we ordered some as a side. Two little slices. I've forgotten the price, but I recall that it turned into sticker shock when we saw what was served. I'm tickled that they offer a nice array of zero proof cocktail options. They aren't inexpensive - apparently spirits without alcohol aren't any less (or maybe only slightly less?) than the full-spirited options. Still, it's nice to have the option. Our out of town family members LOVED Selvin's; it was a big hit with all of us. As an added bonus, there was a guitarist playing beautiful acoustic music when we arrived and were seated in the lounge area. Major extra credit!

It's the perfectly curated trio - Dirty Martini, followed by a well dressed crisp Cesar salad, and perfectly hot Truffle French fries. That's girl dinner in a nutshell (trust us on this combo). On their speciality menu it's called "Martinis and Munchies for Two" for $49. An amazing deal split between two friends. Dirty Martini: Some of the best ice cold martinis on this side of town. These cocktails were crafted to perfection and were always a sucker for the blue cheese stuffed olives. Tossed Cesar Salad: A Cesar salad during these hot summer months always hits the spot. Crisp, cold and fresh. The dressing was solid but I must highlight the lightly scattered capers on this salad - so smart and so tasty! Truffle French Fries: After a few martinis these French fries come in clutch. Crispy, hot and perfectly salted - who doesn't love a French fry and an aioli with a kick. Honorable Mention: PASTA. I was very impressed with my pasta dish here. Ordered the pappardelle bolognese and this pasta was a 10/10. Perfectly cooked ribbons of pasta with a hearty meat sauce and the Stracciatella topping sealed the deal for me on this pasta. We had a fabulous girls dinner from start to finish. The ambience at Selvin's is truly magical and we just love the decor and bar area. We had a cozy little booth to ourselves and the service was top-notch from start to finish. Extra kudos to Claudia for being a bubbly, lovely girls girl who was super attentive to us during our meal and made the night A+. Can't wait to come back soon.

It truly feels like you've stepped into an old Western town from the 1800s. The food was delicious. My husband ordered the burrito, and I had the steak sandwich. This would be a great place for police to hang out on weekends to clean up the douchery to fund fire abatement. We brought two bottles of wine, and one of them needed a pretty aggressive decant. They brought out a decanter and had it opened right away as we sat down, which was a really nice touch. They also did a great job making the birthday feel special without making a big production out of it. The food was good, but it didn't completely wow me for the price. The best way I can describe it is that it still feels like a chain steakhouse. There's nothing wrong with that at all, and everything we had was cooked well, but I was missing that extra level of creativity or attention to detail that I'd expect at this price point. The atmosphere was pretty much what you'd expect from a nice steakhouse. Nothing that really stood out, but it was comfortable, had a good vibe, and was a great place to celebrate. I ordered the American Wagyu filet, and it arrived cold. Even worse, it was mostly fat and nearly impossible to eat. For a premium steak at this price point, I expected exceptional quality, but this was far from it. The Brussels sprouts were undercooked, and our Wagyu sushi appetizer took over 40 minutes to arrive. While our server was friendly and courteous, the overall service was incredibly slow--especially considering we arrived at 5:00 p.m. and the restaurant was nearly empty. We were the only table in the dining room for much of our meal. What really ruined the evening was that when another couple arrived, they were seated immediately next to us despite there being well over 20 empty tables throughout the dining room. They were loud, making it difficult to even hear the person I was with. It completely changed the atmosphere and took away from what should have been a relaxing dinner. With an entire dining room available, this seating decision made no sense. Mastro's has always been one of my favorite steakhouses, which is why this experience was so disappointing. Between the poor quality of the food, the long wait times, and the lack of attention to the overall dining experience, this visit simply did not live up to the standard I've come to expect from Mastro's.

Manasseh, our server, came by right away to tell us of the specials and answer our questions about menu items. He was very patient, got everything right, and service remained outstanding throughout. I started my meal with the tomato basil soup. Wow! Was that good! For my main course, I went with the bacon wrapped prawns with a side of rice pilaf ($38 - includes the soup). Two skewers with 6 bacon wrapped prawns and some veggies on the skewers. Also delish. My wife went with the seared ahi ($39). Also quite good. But my New York steak $60 was so tuff i spat out half of it. Fat!! Tasted like a $2 sirloin bought at Albertsons. Now 90% of the time I will make this known to manager but i did not at this time. My family was arguing over personal matters (not me) and i did not want to cause additional problems. I live in NP. I love steak. I have been to Holdrens 5 times since they opened. 2 times it has been horrible. 3 times good. I have been to fogo de chao 20 times in 2 years. It's a nice place nice staff but the steaks are bought from cheap vendors because they are a local biz trying to survive. I am not looking for a sorry or a free dinner but it may be years before my next visit. How they survive I do not know!
