Chicken dinner with the macaroni and cheese
    Jason H.

Been here quite a few times for work lunches. It's a very solid lunch spot with an upscale feel. They have a little bit of everything to choose from. I like the chicken dinner as well as the prime rib. But the two stars are the macaroni and cheese and the carrot cake. Neither are average by any means! Trust me, just get both! Service and atmosphere are always fantastic.

Located @ 5245 Peachtree Pkwy Peachtree Corners, GA 30092 Health Score 90 = A on 5/4/2025 Alisha was our waitress today and she was an outstanding server. Very efficient with our orders and she offered service with a smile. She checked on our table multiple times. For an appetizer we enjoyed the Hong Kong Shrimp, and for dinner we enjoyed the Cypress Salad and the Salmon Salad. The food was delicious and the aroma from the kitchen made me want to order more food. The ambiance was busy with families dining in for lunch. Without a doubt, I'd definitely recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. It was the Hong Kong Shrimp for me. It's my favorite dish and can be chosen for an appetizer or your entree.

I go here quite often! I luv the food, drinks and ambience ! The food and drinks never disappoint !

Dined in for dinner with my fiancé and the staff was really nice and understanding as they accommodated us last minute. The food was great as well as the drinks.

the service is impeccable and I thought that would be the best thing about the place until I ate the food, the menu is very diverse so you'll definitely find something you like and anything you choose will taste amazing.

PILE HIGH ROASTED PRIME RIB WITH THE JUS, FF & HORSERADISH DIP!'
    Roi J.

Invited 2 out of town guests to J. Alexander's, Peachtree Pkwy, yesterday! They loved the fried calamari (perfectly tender inside and crisp outside)! Our entrées (main courses, really, bcoz Entrée is French for appetizer) consisted of the Salmon (cooked perfectly) & Burger (asked for Medium came out well done) for our friends, the Cod Fish Taco for my wife & the Prime Rib French Dip for me! Everyone loved their MC!! My French Dip was the Best I ever had - piled high, pink roasted tender beef with the Jus & Horseradish. The fries were absolutely great! My wife loved her Fish Taco and Rice 'n Beans side, however they could have used less (1/2 less) cole slaw & more Cod (1/2 more) in the Tacos. Our server, Jacob was exceptional, and right on top of our every necessities. Professional & knowledgeable for sure!! Thanks Jacob! One small detail though... the silverware needs polishing before being given to us in a napkin roll up - an easy task the servers should easily administer to.

    Seared Ahi Tuna Steak

This place has great service and great food. We had a business meeting a few weeks ago and the service was superb. A couple of days ago I went and had the seared ahí tuna with rice and fresh cut tomatoes Cierra was very pleasant to work with, she ensured that my water was always full, that I had the food cook to ordered and light conversation. The restaurant is clean, lots of windows which gives it a wide open concept. I have had the prime rim there and it is also on point but this time I did not have it. My friend ordered the dip in sandwich but I did not take a picture.

    Tuna ahi burger

Got the ahi tuna burger with fries (around $17) and it was pretty good. I think this was the special of the week. A large portion of fries came with it and it's thin fries. My only thing is that the dish, both the burger and the fries started to get a bit too salty halfway through. I saw other tables getting the salads which were huge and looked good so might try that next time. Service was truly amazing, from the ppl who were greeting and leading you to your table to the ppl taking your order. Ambiance and decor is nice, it soorttttt of reminds me of a Cheesecake Factory but rather than overwhelming chatter, it's pretty calm and quiet. I would say this is like a place to grab lunch with your family on a Sunday if that makes sense.

    Smoked Salmon Dip
    Jarrod F.

Decided to stop in to J. Alexander one Sunday after church for some lunch with friends. Never been before, but always passed it and imagined they were good because their lot was packed. Well I was correct, the food was delicious! I ordered the Nashville hot sandwich with fries while my wife ordered the fish tacos. Our friends ordered the Rotisserie chicken meal and their lunch special: which was grilled fish with zucchini and rice. We all shared a smoked salmon dip for the appetizer. Everyone's portion size was generous and everything tasted great. After we all ate, we ordered a slice of pumpkin pie (they have daily specials for desserts) and it was big enough for 3 of us at the table to chair. Would recommend this restaurant for any kind of occasion.

Prime rib & filet mignon were perfect. 2 issue s: the ridiculous markup on an 18$ bottle of wine: 70$!!!??? My steak burger was well-described in the menu, but the actual burger was a big disappointment. Lettuce & tomato on the bottom makes the bun get soggy & fall apart. The burger wasn't juicy & plump, it was flat & overcooked. The bacon was rubbery & chewy, not crispy. I ended up eating my burger with a knife & fork. The Fried Okra was awesome! Now.... your NA beer selection is pitiful. Only choice is Heineken 0.0. No flavor, doesn't pair well with anything. Their are plenty of tastier NA choices: Modelo, Athletic, Sierra Nevada, etc. I'm still giving you 4 stars because your server was excellent. We gave him a nice tip. Definitely coming back, but not having the burger again.

There is an open kitchen style towards the back of the restaurant, and at the center, there is a bar area. The restaurant is relatively dark, fair warning. There was a unique selection of appetizers and entrees. So I had a hard time choosing, but for appetizers we ended up getting Tuna Tower, Wagyu sliders, and the Goku roll. Naturally we were a bit dull after that, but I wanted to try an entree so I ordered the seafood gumbo and my partner ordered the lobster mac and cheese (he says he gets this here every time). All the appetizers we got were AMAZING. I don't have a single complaint about the taste, quality, or flavor. The display was also very neat and nice. I will say the lobster mac and cheese and the seafood gumbo were a bit too salty for my palate, but I can tell that the flavor was there. They were very generous with the seafood for every meal, so that was a plus. Overall, I would highly recommend this place and come again. Tender, juicy, melted in my mouth. I had grilled vegetables and baked potato for sides. The vegetables were a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, pea pods, carrots, and zucchini. They were cooked well and flavored with garlic. The foil packet of potatoes contained three small round potatoes also perfectly cooked through not seasoned at all. The meal came with three small dinner rolls and a few packets of butter. Everything was flavorful and delicious; garlic was quite strong though which I loved but might not be everyone's liking. I also ordered Alfajores from the bakery section for dessert. These are little sandwiches with soft shortbread cookies on the outside and soft dulce de leche and coconut filling between them. Because it's not a big menu with a ton of choices, but just enough different types of foods to give something for everyone - whether it's seafood or chicken, pasta, or meatloaf - it's just good food with interesting sauces. We had the grilled chicken sandwich and meatball sub, both tasting each other's and loving them. The only complaint is they seem to close after lunch for a few hours before dinner. It was so good that I ended up going back on another day, about a week later. It was relatively quiet for a weekday lunch hour if you want to compare to other places that are open for lunch hour. That meant to me that the chef who is also the owner probably could spend more time to prepare the dishes ordered. I ordered the fried Oysters Po'Boy with fries and an iced tea. Didn't take too long for the meal to come out. I cut the Po'Boy in half and the Oysters were large. The bread was nice and soft, not hard and crunchy like bread can be for a Po'Boy. Fries were nicely done, not too crisp but not soggy and greasy. Had seasoning sprinkled on them, but not overwhelming. Just right. After I finished my sandwich, I was wondering about dessert and just as I was going to ask, my waiter, Chris came up to the table with the choices of dessert. I wanted something light, so I picked the chocolate pie. It was a good sized piece that came with some whipped cream on the side garnished with a strawberry. Nice and creamy and not overly sweet. Hit the spot! I will be back again because it's got a nice cozy homestyle atmosphere. May have to try the weekend brunch.

I'll preface this by saying we are regular diners and frequently order to-go from here too, so this isn't a problem with the food quality - which is always good. Arriving at 10:45AM, I'd expected to be on the early side of the brunch rush, and the restaurant remained pretty quiet for the first 30 minutes. It was very cold, and we asked for this to be addressed. We appeared to have a dedicated server who welcomed us warmly, fixed drink orders and offered recommendations. However, he had another (new?) server shadowing him after that, and a few things were missed by her (no straws, milk for coffee served in a bowl instead of a jug, water without lemon served with lemon pips in it, and a forgotten request for a taste of the sausage gravy). Then things took a bigger turn after we placed our entree orders. We asked for jelly or jam for biscuits and were told there wasn't any. We asked for honey and syrup for the French toast, and it took a long time to arrive (so those entrees were cold by the time the diners got to eat them). One order came with the wrong side, and one diner had to ask for fresh biscuits because those on the plates were already cold. No one ever came to bring one missing drink, or to take further/refill orders from any of the group. The chilly temperature of the dining room stayed frigid throughout. We did appreciate the professionalism of our primary server, and the sweet gestures to the Moms in the group (it was Mothers' Day). However, the communication between servers, and with management, and between front of house and kitchen, were all completely off that day. It was especially disappointing based on previous positive experiences. Despite flagging the issues to the manager on duty, we left feeling rushed, disappointed and with the impression that they didn't really care. There were huge groups of people waiting to be seated by the time we left, so hopefully the team was just warming up when we got there and I hope the experience improved for others throughout the service period. I'm not looking forward to going back, however - it felt like we were being used for staff training on one of the business Sunday brunch services of the year, and not at all like the usual dinner experience.

Restaurant is very spacious and decor is traditional but overall warm and welcoming. Rashad waited on us and he was wonderful. Warm and engaged he was always available and efficient. We started with drinks and a shared the crab and spinach dip and someone tried the gumbo. Yumm!! For entrees we had several different items from a fried platter, naked salmon, baked trout and blackened catfish. Portions were generous, food well seasoned and everything delicious!! We opted out of dessert because we brought our own celebration cake, but the ones I saw at other tables looked pretty good. Overall a great dining experience!!

When we were finally seated, they split us between two separate tables and told us it was policy that they couldn't push the tables together. We were definitely a little disappointed, but we didn't let it ruin the night. I will say our servers were very nice and friendly throughout the experience. The biggest issue was the wait for the food. Half of our group got their meals, and then it took forever for the other table to finally get theirs, which made things awkward. As for the food, it was pretty mediocre overall. I had the fried shrimp and chicken, which was decent, but honestly I enjoyed the chicken more than the shrimp. One of my friends ordered the Cajun pasta and it lacked A LOT of flavor, definitely needed some salt and seasoning. The place was pretty and clean. I did like their outdoor courtyard to just wait and hang out. It wasn't a terrible experience by any means, but it also wasn't impressive enough for me to really want to come back.
