I am writing this review to express my deep disappointment with our visit this afternoon. Unfortunately the service was incredibly slow, and our table felt largely ignored. Our water was never refilled, and we had to ask for items multiple times. Few major issues during our meal: 1. Missing utensils: there were no spoons at the soup bar. We asked a server for some, but they took 30 minutes to arrive, leaving our soup ice-cold. 2. Forgotten our orders: we asked for cheese breads, few other itemsbut took them at least 30 minutes to show up. 3. Poor quality: the cheese breads were smashed and unappetizing, all flat rather than the famous fluff cheese bread that we had from other locations. We decided to give this place a try despite seeing several negative reviews, but we regret that decision. For the price point, the experience and service are simply not worth it. Ok so I hate to do this but this is actually the worst Fogo I've been to. Fogo is a default 3-5 stars There is no where to wait when you come in, everyone is ontop of eachother. The wait staff (not all but most) were not great. I mentioned the people I was with only got one person stop by since we had been there. One gentleman came by and told me I had to turn it to green, mind you the people I was with had theirs on green and mine was under my glass. I had one server spill lemonade all over the floor almost on someone in our party who had just finished almost 18 hours of clinic and on call, same server slammed the water glass down when he filled it. The potatoes and corn and anything with some kind of mayo in the salad bar was sour, there was no salad left, the croutons soggy. The meats were either over cooked or rare. I could have gone on a bad night but every Fogo I've been to either service makes up for anything lacking in food or food makes up for service (but I've never had bad service at Fogo) and at about $275 with tip for 3 people that was well below standard for Fogo. The only reason it isn't a 1 star is Demetrius who is delightful. We moved here in October and have spent approx $3k at Fogo since, so we are regulars by all accounts but we have had several bad experiences lately. We have told ourselves "this is just a bad day. We will try again" but after the last few, we have decided that we will be switching our loyalty to Avenida Brazil moving forward. The service is horrendous compared to other Fogos. Most recently, we sat down and after 10 minutes, a server came up and dropped Pão de queijo without saying a word and walked away. It was (with no exaggeration) 15 minutes before we were greeted at our table and it wasn't busy. The service wasn't great and the meat was bland this time. Lots of service failures across the board and it increases each time. Two visits ago, the female CSR with the facial piercings was just rude. We asked for a high chair that didn't have a broken strap and instead of looking, she simply said "we don't have any". My husband went and got one himself since she wasn't helping. This time, again, we were given a high chair with a broken strap. We asked for a new one but they said they didn't have any (again). Overall, the experience at this location is declining which Is sad since we love Fogo. read more

I came here for my 18th birthday on 4/15/26 expecting an upscale dining experience with great service, but unfortunately this was some of the worst service I have ever received at any restaurant. I arrived with five friends, and we had a reservation ready upon arrival. The host seated us quickly, and at first everything seemed fine. Our waiter greeted us and took our drink orders without any issues. However, things went downhill after we ordered our food. Three out of the six of us, including myself, ordered the "Best of Brazil" special, which includes access to the salad bar and continuous table-side meat service. After placing our order, we waited nearly 30 minutes before any gauchos came to our table, despite watching them repeatedly stop at surrounding tables multiple times. Even after they finally came by once, it would take another 15-20 minutes before we saw them again, usually only after one of my friends had to personally ask for service. For a restaurant charging premium prices, the level of attentiveness was unacceptable. Once we finished eating, we asked our waiter for the checks. She said she would bring them right away, yet we waited another 20 minutes before receiving them. When the checks finally arrived, almost all of them contained major errors and incorrect charges. One of my friends, who only ordered a pink lemonade and did not eat anything, was incorrectly charged for the full "Best of Brazil" experience. When he politely asked for the charge to be corrected, the waiter responded with, "Are you sure? Because I was told you were seen getting food at the salad bar." The way this was handled was extremely unprofessional and insulting. We felt like we were being treated as if we were little kids being accused of something rather than paying customers. Whether it was because we were younger guests or not, the tone and accusation were completely inappropriate. To make matters worse, I had been told I would receive a complimentary dessert for my birthday, yet the dessert was still added to my bill. When we asked for the checks to be corrected, the waiter appeared visibly annoyed at us for simply wanting to pay the correct amounts. Fixing the bills took yet another 20 minutes. By this point, the restaurant was nearly empty and close to closing time. Throughout the process, it genuinely felt like we were being watched or singled out, as employees and what appeared to be a manager repeatedly looked over at our table. The entire atmosphere became uncomfortable and frustrating. What makes this even more disappointing is that I had previously visited the Westheimer location and had an amazing experience there. That visit felt upscale, welcoming, and memorable, which is exactly why I chose this restaurant again for such an important occasion. I expected the same quality of service at the Baybrook location, especially for my 18th birthday, but instead it completely ruined the night for me and my friends. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing. For a restaurant that markets itself as upscale and high-end, the service we received was disorganized, inattentive, and disrespectful. I honestly have received better treatment at fast food restaurants. Unfortunately, after this experience, I would not return to this location or recommend it to others. read more

Update: Management reached out and invited us back. The manager advised to let them know that he invited us back when we arrived and we did let our server know. The servers were more attentive but we were surprised that a manager never came to the table. The overall service was much better but the quality of the food was really still sub par and at $50 for lunch and $70 for dinner it is a no thanks for me. We have had better steak at the Chinese buffet or Golden Corral and for less we could have a porterhouse at Longhorn. The day after we went back we had a different manager reach out who did not seem to know that they had already invited us back. Seems like maybe there is some organizational disorganization. ----------- Very disappointing! At $50 per person I expect better quality food and service. The market table was fine, however nothing was labeled and there were a few things that ended up being the same/ similar. Our server barely said a word to us. We asked for lemon with the water and it never came. He checked in much later and still barely said anything, no lemon and it was too late in the game to remind him. The first meat came around and it was cooked okay. It had quite a bit of fat to cut away and was tough and chewy, poor quality. Next was a slice of fajita which was decent but had a big gristly chunk at the end. The underwhelming offers started to come around of several visibly overcooked chicken and sausage and another offer for the tough, poor quality first meat. We turned all of those away. I asked about the other options like lamb chops and they offered to get some started but said they should come around. Their website says ribeye and filet and I asked about those and the gaucho said they are only special request but there was no indication of that and our server certainly did not say that. We requested medium rare and they went to put it in. We continued to wait with our place cards to red but offers of sub par looking meats kept coming around. At this point digestion was kicking in and I was getting full while waiting. The fully cooked lamb chops came out followed by a virtually raw slice of lamb roast. All but 2 bites were wasted. The filet finally made its way to our table and I was full of disgust and no longer hungry as it was about 30 min from when our "special request " was made. He offered to wrap it up because of it. Seemed like a fair fix. Later when we took out the steak it was completely cooked and mealy texture with chunk of gristle. I messaged the company to express my disappointment and 5 days with no response before posting review. There was a gentleman that did have good service and tried to make it right. I am not sure if he was the manager or head server. With the filet and lack of response it negated his attempt. He also did respond negatively to what the staff said because he said no meats are special order and the filet and ribeye should have come around naturally. As we walked into the restaurant, we instantly noticed how small the salad bar is compared to other Brazilian steakhouses. When we sat down at our table, two of our friends said they have been to a different location and the salad bar is larger which shows not all FDC locations are built the same. We had a party of about 10 ppl and when we got to the table, we noticed the table was so close to the wall that one of the seats would barely move back. No one would be able to sit there. When we asked them if they could move the table away from the wall just a little (which there was plenty of space to move the table away from the wall), the employee was hesitant and said 2 of the tables are connected. They then asked a coworker and were whispering to each other and 1-2 other workers came over. They eventually moved the tables less than a foot, but was weird it was such a big deal and multiple employees coming over wasn't necessary. Food: 0/5 stars. Salad bar is pretty sad. All and I mean all of the meats were overcooked, dry, and zero seasoning inside the meat. The outside of the meat was so charred, that by the time they slice the meat and give it to you, every meat is practically well done. If you wanted a medium/medium rare slice, they could easily give you one but then there would be no taste or seasoning. Usually people will say statements like "what was this meat it was really good or I want to get some more of this". But the conversations were more of "what was this meat, I don't want to get it again, this is so dry, or I don't taste any salt at all". The only meat I kind of liked was the picanha, but it was frustrating for my wife and I because I make that a lot at home. Especially since I definitely make it better than FDC, makes eating at FDC completely pointless. I'm the last person to rave about my own cooking, so that tells you something if I'm 100% sure my picanha is better than what FDC made. Service: 1/5 stars. Server was really nice, but not attentive. I drank all of my water & got tired of waiting, so I drank all of my wife's. Twice. With a big group, that means we were enjoying each other's company and conversations that so much time went by that I drank 2 glasses of water before we had to flag her down and ask for more water, multiple times. One of our friends ordered picanha only meat so the server took her "food button" away (that you flip over if you're hungry or full) and never came back with the correct button. While everyone was eating and our friend just sitting there, the server then comes and says "oh I forgot your button, let me get it for you". Then the problem was the picanha just came so she missed it and it didn't come back until we asked for it. The server should've asked for them to go to our table knowing that is all our friend ordered. Overall, we probably couldn't have been anymore disappointed in the experience and the food's lack of quality. We've been looking forward to eating at a FDC for a long time but now it seems we won't be visiting again because it's a lot of money to give a restaurant a second chance when the first experience was so bad. read more

The cheese bread was burnt and hard as a rock. Just terrible! The mashed potatoes and bananas were really good though. We waited for a really long time with our cards set to "green" before the meats started showing up. Let's just say...they have an over abundance of bottom sirloin as that's the only thing they kept bringing to the table for nearly 30 minutes. I literally had to ask 7 times for them to bring Ribeye and Fillet for us to try. After that, we sat there 15-20 minutes without any meat showing up. When we are spending that much money, we expected to get the opportunity to try all of the different cuts of meat. That being said, the meats we did get to try were pretty good. I did have to ask for some salt because some of it was under-seasoned. Lastly, it was clean and the staff were friendly when you could find them, although, it took 10+ minutes for us to flag someone down so we could pay. Long story short, we will not be returning. I'm just recovering from this place. I became very sick after dining here. Came here for a physician dinner. Ordered the Chilean Seabass and had a glass of wine. It took so long for them to bring out the Seabass, they kept apologizing for the wait, but everyone had finished their food by the time my plate came and it was over an hour wait. When my dish did come... I was underwhelmed but SO HUNGRY. The fish was chewy, drenched in oil... soaking with more oil. On any other day I would have sent that back, but my hunger didn't let me. I ate the Seabass in large chunky bites, but left the vegetables soaked in the oil. It's quite scary looking when I look back at the picture. It's funny because we were their for a cardiovascular talk. I had a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. My stomach bloated and started to hurt about an hour after my meal. I thought maybe I had waited to long to eat, or maybe it was gas? But I was literally rubbing my stomach the whole ride home. At home I took pepto bismol. My husband was worried and asked if it was something I ate. But I was in too much pain to consider that... next day, I felt so fatigued, tired, foggy headed, vision a little off. I thought it was because I didn't sleep well the night before because I hadn't. Day after that, headache, back pain, stomach ache, muscle pain. Today, I finally feel like I am recovering... but looking back, that was the point where everything changed. That meal - that I regretted eating. I don't know if it was the fish? Was it spoiled? Why did it take so long to prepare - was it handled properly? Service - abysmal. Waiters looked like they would rather be anywhere else, one of the waiter looks absolutely mean. Almost seemed to be angry to be serving us, literally never took my plate off the table until I asked him to. Again, this is a supposed to be fine dining? I had to ask myself a few times, has Fogo gone downhill? It's been so long since I had eaten at the chain, but usually it's a decent experience... this was strange. That being said. Never again. Now for the food....kept asking for medium temperature and everything kept coming out way over cooked. Only once did we get offered picana and again had to keep asking for certain cuts. Attention to detail was not up to standards, for example, I had to request for a water refill three times before any was brought and the restaurant was fairly empty. The meat and fried cheese were burnt, dry, or undercooked indicating there was no quality control. Overall this restaurant did NOT meet my standards. I would recommend Avenida Brazilian Steakhouse which is less than two miles from Fogo de Chão. Churrasco centric places are the real deal! This is a newer location in restaurant row @ Baybrook mall. One thing to note and not sure if it is required but do have a reservation to eat here. Dined here day before Christmas eve. This was the first thing they asked me when we arrived. So it works like this cards are on the table and simply flip for the gauchos to come by and slice elegant steaks for you. The waitress explains to you and gets your drink order. I got a few cold selections on their well stocked salad bar. There are soups as well, butternut squash was one of them. I did see mixed field greens and caesar salad. Fresh orange wedges, pineapple, and papaya were on the bar as well. They were all delicious and well chilled! Now on to the steaks! Filet, fajita, picahna, and ribeye were all exquisite and melt in your mouth! They also came around with lamb and bacon wrapped chicken and sirloin which were also delicious! To complete my journey into steakdom scored a free dessert from Cole the floor mgr who was extremely nice and cordial! I was also able to use a birthday cert they sent me! First time at Fogo de Chao, although we have been to several Brazilian steakhouses. After being seated, Aliyah (our server) guided us through Fogo's Market Table, the Menu, and wine list. After taking our order, she kept an eye on our table to see if we were low on water, wine, and to verify that the Gauchos were coming by often enough. When we had our fill of steak, lamb, and pork she brought the Dessert menu. So many great choices. We got the molten lava cake and the cheesecake brulee. I went yesterday to celebrate my birthday with my family and friends. I got seated alongside the salad bar and had a great view of the grill. Mashed potatoes were warm and creamy. Yuca fries and plantains were delicious. The salad bar was okay. The restaurant worked hard at maintaining the salad bar. The Brazilian cheese bread was good but inconsistent at times in that sometimes the cheese had cooked through and other times it was still gooey in the middle. The servers were attentive. However, having a view of the grill area, the servers appear to be stretched too thin. The best way to describe it was chaotic and frantic. It appeared the grill was not managed by a cook, but rather managed by the servers. The servers appeared to be just moving skewers to random spots over the fire. At one point, a grease fire had formed and the manager had to put it out to clean it up. As a result, the meats were not all cooked the same as some came out still mooing, others came out with that propane/chemical taste where it had been sitting in the grease fire too long. Because of this chaos in the kitchen, there were times where it appeared that no meat was coming out of the kitchen. But when the meats were being served, it was still very frantic and scary the way the servers were handling the skewers and knives. I think they knew they were not serving quick enough, so some of the servers were almost sprinting between tables to get people served. It made me a bit uncomfortable how close they were cutting the meat next to people. I've been to quite a few Brazilian Steakhouses over the years and this one is way off par. Maybe it was just an isolated incident that day, but for having a party 7 people to celebrate my birthday, I was very disappointed and felt that we did not get that traditional Brazilian Steakhouse experience. read more

My party's experience at the Baybrook location did not live up to our expectations. We have always considered Fogo top tier for food and service. Sadly, the quality and ambiance were severely lacking. The restaurant was loud and brightly lit. The salad bar was not labeled and not visually appealing. Several dishes featured roasted sweet potatoes so if you are not a fan of those then your choices are limited. One person in our party ordered an entree off the menu. After a long wait, It came out undercooked. Another person in our party mentioned that the salad bar was only a step above Golden Corral.
