Perfect ambiance, friendly service and delicious food! Went here as an early celebration for my birthday and the chicken christopher, house onion bread and jumbo asparagus were all perfectly seasoned and so addicting! Excited to go back!

Staff was amazing and so attentive. Gave us great recommendations. Our steaks were cooked just how we wanted. Wine pairing was on point. Will definitely go again.

Was there for Portland dining month. The course was amazing. Everything tasted good and was cooked to perfection. French onion soup was top notch. Finish with key lime pie - good balance of tartness and sweet. Filet was cooked medium and melted in my mouth. Also professional and attentive bartenders (was sitting at the bar). Atmosphere is private but open with nice lights

Food~It was absolutely amazing and, I had the 8 oz Filet Mignon (cooked a lil under medium well it was perfect! Caesar Salad was very fresh, green, and tasted really good (2 people could share it) But, those Oysters Dynamite were simply delicious (order 2 but, I could've eaten 5). Sour cream and chives mash potatoes were good but, needed salt and pepper. Service~We were there for a birthday party and, our server was Willam when I tell you he was the most warmest and friendliest person I've came across in a while. Even through he was working a few other tables (it was a full house) he was on point with whatever we needed. Ambiance~I was able to get a park right in the front. But, it's street and garage parking near by. It's been a very long time since I've eaten at Morton's but, it's just as phenomenal as I remember it being! I highly recommend you check out their happy hour or dinner service you will not be disappointed!!!

Such good food and great atmosphere! My friend and I ordered off of the bar bites menu during their happy hour, which I highly recommend. We shared several plates and our server (Justin) was amazing and had great recommendations. The food came out hot and quick. Definitely recommend for a nice evening for drinks and dinner.

This was by far one of the best meals and service experiences I have ever had. The ambiance was romantic, the food was delectable. Highly recommend the seared scallops and au gratin. Amazing place!

Morton's steakhouse Portland, Oregon, March 23, 2025. They serve fresh bread, complimentary. It had lots of salty garlic on it which was a little bit too much for me but the bread underneath was pretty good. Came with a nice dish of butter. The bread was quite crumbly as the waiter admitted and I guess it would've been nice if they had one of those crumb scraping tools that I've seen other nice restaurants just a suggestion - not a criticism. Was served a Stella Artois beer - nice and cold, was very good. Caesar salad - the dressing was not creamy enough. The salad was a little bit less than super tasty overall. The 8oz. filet mignon medium rare came out perfectly. Every bite was superb. The spinach and mushroom sauté was also delicious - it had a nice garlic butter sauce. Interesting combination. Overall very good - met expectations of a Morton's - fine dining steakhouse experience.

The restaurant is classy and fancy. We (my cousin and I) arrived with no reservation on a Monday night, almost at closing. I was a little worried I was not appropriately dressed for the restaurant but I was worried for nothing. I had on dark clothing and a fancy jacket. We requested a voter booth to the host and were promptly seated. The dining area is huge, plenty of space. This would be a good place to host business meetings. Our waiter was cordial and explained the menu to us. My cousin has been here before; she loves the steak here. She let the waiter know that we would be sharing and ordered us a chefs selection of oysters and scallops for our appetizers. For our sides, we ordered Parmesan & truffle matchstick fries, roasted jumbo asparagus, lobster pasta, Cajun prime rib, and creme brûlée for dessert. Our waiter asked if we wanted bread for the table but we politely declined. He was nice enough to bring us some anyways. Our appetizers were delicious, especially the oysters. Very unique blend of flavor. Our dinner was served in a timely manner. Everything was great and complemented well with each item on the menu. The prime steak was medium rare as we asked, very juicy. Once we were done eating, we asked for boxes for the leftovers. Waiter packed our food himself and gave us our goody bag. It was an enjoyable experience.

We popped in around 5 for drinks at the bar before the Sailor Moon show across the street in March. We had some time to kill before our 630 dinner reservation. We were greeted kindly, and felt super welcomed, with the staff prepared to chat about Sailor Moon. Which I thought was a wholesome touch, knowing the type of restaurant/bar goers they'd have for the day. We sat at the bar for a few minutes and a table opened earlier for us to move over to. The food was absolutely delicious! My friend and I got the lobster mac and cheese, the Wagyu meatballs (forgot to get a photo), their gratin, and one of their steaks to split family style. After ordering our drinks and food, they brought over bread and butter for the table. We both thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered, including the drinks! The lobster mac and cheese had a good amount of lobster, and it was balanced well with the creamy cheese sauce. My friend isn't a huge fan of seafood but she was pleasantly surprised with how tasty it was. The steak was requested to be cooked medium rare, and was done fantastic. The vibe is a very dim lit, overall relaxing enjoyable environment to be in for a date, get together, and I even saw families celebrating birthdays. I definitely want to be back with my partner to try more menu items!

I was absolutely in food heaven here. We made a reservation in advance, and wow, I'm so glad we…read moredid! We were provided with complimentary tomato bisque in cute little cups to start off the meal. It had a nice, light spicy kick that immediately got things going. We ordered the clam chowder with bone marrow, and this was absolutely the best clam chowder we have ever had. The dish comes with a cooked bone marrow on top that you're meant to scrape into the chowder, along with five medium clams still in their shells. Remove everything from the shells, scrape that glorious bone marrow into the chowder, and give it a really good stir. Keep the bone in the bowl for the extra flavor. Then enjoy what might be the best clam chowder of your life. We also ordered the beef tongue, which was another amazing appetizer. The combination of horseradish, tiny potato salad, capers, crispy little pork rind pieces, and the sauce on top of the beef tongue was SO flavorful. I was, indeed, back in divine food heaven. For our entrees and sides, we ordered the green beans, skirt steak, and pork chop. The green beans had an Asian-inspired preparation with fish sauce, cashews, and Thai basil. They were incredibly flavorful, with the Thai basil adding a nice freshness. The skirt steak was perfectly cooked to medium and seasoned beautifully with smoky flavors. The accompanying chimichurri added a fresh, herby contrast. And then there was the pork chop, which was a hugeeeee surprise! Our waitress told us it was one of their most popular dishes, and now I understand why. It was huge, perfectly cooked, beautifully grilled, and served with a slightly sweeter sauce that worked so well with the pork. We ended the meal with sorbet, which was fantastic and a refreshing way to finish everything. My life is complete!

Consistently one of my favorite restaurants because of their incredible quality, flavors (Spanish,…read moreFrench, Italian-influenced Argentinian fare), and atmosphere - this was a new experience with take-out, some of the finest to be found. Authors & James Beard award-winning Chefs Gabrielle Quiñónez & Greg Denton have honed Portland's love of all things local (seasonal & freshly sourced ingredients) within a menu that maintains integrity across seasons. Whether seated "around the (wood) fire" with their massive custom grill, in the atrium, at the bar top, booth, back oyster bar, private dining, or (more recently) a vined patio - every area is primed for new and wonderful memories. Their wine program (although abbreviated) is one of my favorite in the city, heavy on Willamette picks but rounded with exquisite (but generally affordable) European & South American bottles. I sampled five courses, for take-out this visit - overall (service/ambiance, along with food degradation during transport), I'd give 3 stars, but across multiple visits (otherwise dine-in), restaurant maintains 4 stars. Servers are taking the stars for service. A favorite of mine, their BELGIAN ENDIVE SALAD is seasonally updated with cherries/sweet atop the usual endive/bitter, bleu/tart/smooth, and the texture is something fun with candied pecans & mild vinaigrette (buttery EVOO) blending with each electrifying bite. This presentation was not its freshest (endive), but could have turned during transportation. The reason I'll keep coming back: CLAM CHOWDER w SMOKED MARROW BONE is similarly elemental - each ingredient shining in its own right, but symphonic altogether. The soup itself is thin - not too filling, but incredibly rich in flavor (a touch of white wine? maybe B&W pepper?), showcasing large delicately cooked clams & melted marrow that seasons tiny cubed carrots & potatoes, onion & pork - sliced jalapeño leaves a back-end heat that's lasting & warm. This is the place you order a meat with some fat on it, so bring some friends and plan for sharing. Anything cooked on the Ann Arbor grill is better-than-basic, but I'd rather a filet that's pan-seared & oven-finished (although DO ASK for their signature Bordelaise, which is a gorgeous compliment to steak with red wine, and counterpoint to their exceptional chimichurri). To pair - FRIED RUSSET POTATOES - rustic, not a touch overcooked, but entirely original & delicious with their with horseradish aioli + dash of dill. Flavors are vaguely familiar, like an avant-garde ranch - always on-point. Dessert was SUBLIME - if only I recalled this little slice of buckwheat-toffee-cake's name. Ice cream took the heat during travel, but I imagine it's even better at the source. Points lost on service during carry-out, next time I'll send a representative.

In addition to creative, well-prepared cocktails, the food here is equally spectacular. My wife and I shared their Wagyu tartar and a soft shell crab sando. You'll see these two dishes at virtually every single table if you look around the restaurant during your visit and there's good reason for it: these two dishes are perfectly executed. Every piece of the tartare is evenly cut the be the same size, and there wasn't a single piece that was stringy or chewy. The dish itself was well-seasoned, and the freshly fried kettle chips provided the crunchy texture the dish needed. The soft shell crab sando is served between two toasted slices of rich, decadent, buttered milk bread. The crab has a wonderfully crispy outer shell and atop of the crab is a mountain of crunchy, tangy slaw. They must have done a bunch of R&D and experimentation playing with the ratio of the ingredients because every bite was balanced. If there's one dish you have to order during your visit, make it the crab sando. The two cocktails I tried out were the "loch stock" -- mezcal, smoky scotch, ancho reyes, lapsang souchong sweet vermouth, and mole bitters, and the "up country road" -- bourbon, coconut-inflused sweet vermouth, macadamia nut campari. I cannot articulate how incredible these two drinks tasted. The flavor profile of the drinks are punchy and exactly as described. I am certain there's something on the menu for everyone's palette. I would highly advise you to stay hydrated throughout your visit so you're able to make it to two, or even three round of drinks. The drinks are that good. I cannot recommend Scotch Lodge enough if you're visiting Portland. Definitely make a reservation and be sure to try out the food as well.

Olympia Provisions is consistently one of our favorite places to frequent in PDX. Great location,…read morefun ambiance, pleasant staff, fabulous food! We are typically brunch people, making it here most often on a Saturday or Sunday for a late brunch. Their benedicts are to die for... truly, they're all wonderful. Their Laser Potato is out of this world. Truly, my favorite item on their menu. It is fabulous in all ways. I often take a side of it home just to enjoy later. We recently tried them for dinner. Their muscles are OUT OF THIS WORLD. Truly, the best I've ever had. This beats living in the southeast on the coast, any west-coast seafood restaurant, and every place I've ever enjoyed in Italy. They've certainly topped the muscle game. Highly recommend Olympic Provisions. I will gladly vouch that the negative reviews are from the haters, just to hate. The overall experience has never been anything less than fantastic. Photos to follow (hopefully, if I can find them! HA!) Enjoy OP next time you're in PDX!

This OG spot is still serving next door to Steven Smith, around the corner from locally-sourced COWBELL cheese, and just downstairs from MUSE Storytelling. On this visit, Kevin was taking chill care of the atrium, delivering BRIGHT, BEEFY, FRESH Hierloom Tomatoes with Burrata & crisp Focaccia breadcrumb that is SO RICH - no saucisson required! HOWEVER... if you decide to dabble, the infamous CHARCUTERIE ART should include the Green Peppercorn Paté - everything beloved about a mild sausage, more tender, seasoned to herbal perfection with split peppercorns & a sprinkle of flake salt - the meat medley is heavenly with a toasted crostini + Triple Cream Brie, cranberry/raisin chutney on top. Amen!

Absolutely a flavor explosion inside your mouth! Next, the smoked bone marrow with chimichurri and bread was fantastic. Rich, smoky, herby, and just ridiculously good. The pork belly baocitos were my absolute favorite! The foraged mushrooms with bread were another HUGE surprise!! WOW. Incredible flavor! The grilled octopus with potatoes was good, although slightly overcooked and I didn't get much of the grilled flavor. The flank steak had delicious smoky flavors and an amazing sauce, but we were so full by then that we couldn't finish it! I loved the variety here. Lots of bold flavors and fun combinations, and the sharing format makes it easy to try a little bit of everything. Definitely come hungry! As an aside, there is a tank of jelly fish when you walk in, and another tank with fish. Pretty cool.

A bar backlit by ethereal jellyfish ebbing in blue light, and an incredible (but focused) wine program, along with creative & fun ZERO-proof options. I've had 4 years of mostly unremarkable experiences with service in Portland, but Hunter changed all that. He's thoughtful, thinking ahead, smart & an asset to the ambiance. Meanwhile 3/3 items were exceptional, starting with BRISKET EMPANADAS - buttery smoked brisket & ooey gooey fontina studded with tart little golden raisins in a crisp crust - like a cheesy Argentinian gyoza! PAN SEARED SCALLOPS (by the half-order, thank you!) are precisely seared on the outside, sweet & tender on the inside, plated over a creamy sweet corn polenta that contrasts beautifully with the acid in slightly charred, roasted tomatoes. Finally (in traditional European fashion) a FARMERS GREEN SALAD gently dressed in piquant vinegar balanced by mild goat cheese & roasted pine nuts for a smoky crunch. Chef's Counter is lovely, but the space is deceptively large and accommodating with cozy booths and larger rooms - the more, the merrier sharing tapas to go around!

We were celebrating my son's 16th birthday, and the team made the evening feel special from the moment we arrived. They seated us by the window, had a birthday card waiting for him, and every staff member we interacted with provided exceptional service. The food exceeded our expectations. Everything we ordered was prepared perfectly and was exactly what we expected for a restaurant at this price point and in this location. To top it all off, they surprised my son by adding a candle to his dessert, making the celebration even more memorable. Overall, it was an outstanding dining experience, and we will definitely be back.

Those two boxes were checked but the rest of the 2 and a half hour visit was abysmal to say the least. I made a reservation a week before, knowing this place offers the best views in Portland, & hoping to solidify a great spot with our meal - no. The hostess said our best bet would be to sit in the lounge, we accepted & did as such. It was a decent amount of time until we received water - our ordered beverages came significantly later. We didn't order our main dish until 10 minutes before closing. When we ordered an over $100 bottle of wine we were met with an eye roll and sigh of frustration because our waiter was overworked & didn't have time to care about what we, as paying customers, wanted. I want to be clear that I do not fault our waiter for his reaction because he was visibly overwhelmed throughout the entirety of our visit. I am significantly disappointed in the customer service - as horrendous and incredibly long even the smallest requests took. If I make a reservation for 7:30 and leave the restaurant at 10 - after having reminded the staff several times of what we wanted or needed that is indicative of the establishment and management not the individuals. The food prices are not reflective of the overall service and experience. To be frank, if you (as an establishment) do not have the bandwidth to cater to your customers needs, then the prices should coincide with the experience, or hire more staff to fill the gaps that exist. I am genuinely saddened that my mom and I, who both love a great restaurant experience, left dissatisfied and disappointed in her celebratory dinner. The food was great. But not great enough to overcompensate for the overall nature of the experience.
