I've been wanting to try this place for the longest time, and I finally got the chance! They have plenty of parking, which was nice. Even though I was a little late for my reservation, we were seated right away. The ambiance was really good. Since it was our first time, our server explained how everything worked, which I really appreciated. We went with the full churrasco experience, and the market table was honestly one of my favorite parts. There were so many salads, dressings, soups, bread, rice, beans, and other sides. Everything I tried was really good, and there was a huge variety. I also got the pineapple mint lemonade, and it was refreshing. The meat kept coming to the table, and there were a lot of different cuts to try. Some were really good, but a few were a little dry and chewy. There was also quite a bit of waiting between some of the meats. I waited a long time for the chicken, and unfortunately never got to try the lamb because it didn't make it to our table before we were done. Overall, it was a good experience and definitely worth trying if you're a meat lover. I just wish the meats came around a little more often so I could've tried everything. They do have rewards program which is a plus!!

My friends and I went for the National Capirinha Event. It was nice that they had us on the enclosed patio but the air was on high so it was chilly in that small space. The food was good but being someone who doesn't eat pork, I wasn't able to enjoy the full experience of the food that was given. However what was lacking variety was definitely not lacking in abundance. It was a good spread and it was nice that we got to have a part of the churrasco experience with the waiter coming through with a couple of different steaks. There was only one server and one bartender for the experience so service was a little slow and they even had to have a couple of managers help serve and clear the tables. So maybe for next time, have 2 servers or an extra bartender so things could flow smoothly. I would definitely come back for these type of events

I'm not new to Brazilian all you can eat style restaurant. 757 had quite a few back in the day before they started closing down, so to see FDC in the area was exciting. I went on a Saturday evening with no reservations but was able to be seated within 45 minutes. That was pretty good considering I didn't have a reservation. We were seated all the way in the back at the enclosed porch section of the restaurant. I felt sitting back here, we were missed quite often. The service was not good at all. The waiters were nice but they never came back with any of my request like ice, more water or some cheesy bread. The meat that was coming around was the same thing. Only got to try 2 meats; ribeye and a flank and it was so salty!! After 2.5 hours never got to try the chicken, grilled pineapple, sausage and whatever else they had for dinner. So we really had to get full off the bar. The experience was not it, not the Fogo de Chao experience that was expected and it was definitely a waste of money.

We were not super impressed, but also not mad at our experience at Fogo de Chão. Please note: MAKE THE RESERVATION, especially if you are planning on going on Saturday night. Make the reservation ASAP, books quickly. As for the overall experience, prepare to be extremely overstimulated by the loud noise of surrounding tables (tables are seated very close together, we felt like a can of sardines as we were sat in a tight corner). The waiting area at front is also very small and crowded. Meat is more than plentiful (and relatively good depending on the selection, some were dry), and the salad bar is all you can eat and filled with delicious, fresh foods! The grilled pineapple is DELICIOUS! The positives begin to run out there- service was slow, and they kept attempting to up-charge us by going table to table and offering shots (if we wanted them, we would order them). Dessert was mediocre. Prices were insane. Overall, I probably won't go back, but it wasn't terrible.

Fogo de Chão delivers an outstanding dining experience from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere feels welcoming and lively, the service is attentive without hovering, and every slice of meat arrives with great care and timing. The quality of the food is consistent and the flavors are truly impressive The picanha steak is phenomenal. It's cooked to perfection--tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavor from the first bite. The seasoning is spot-on, and the sear brings out a delicious depth while keeping the inside beautifully moist. 10/10 Yummo Bucko!!!

We celebrated my friends birthday at Fogo. She made reservations, which because it was Valentine's weekend turned into a bit of a wait even with the reservation. It was brunch when we went, so that must be a busy service. Once we were seated my friends got the full churrasco experience with chicken, filet mignon, steak, and other meats that are brought to the table and sliced Brazilian style, and it's fresh. You're given a card that you turn over to green for more, and red for no thanks. Which is cool. They also had the market side table salad bar which had an array of salad, pasta salad, cheese, fruit, and etc. Most dishes were cold items. There were some items missing from the buffet when they made their plates. But they seemed to still enjoy their meals. It also came with mashed potatoes, polenta fries, plantains, and cheese popover rolls for the table. The rolls were absolutely amazing. Cheesy, squishy, fluffly, and so easy to eat 20 and not realize it. Lol. The polenta fries were buttery and I did like them, but they were light on flavor, but still enjoyable. I ordered the lobster macaroni. I had to watch my friends eat while I waited 25-30 minutes for my food to come out, so that was kind of disappointing. But the staff apologized for the delay. The lobster Mac was buttery and had a good amount of lobster. It could have used some seasoning but I'd still get it again. The portion was a decent size. If your not getting the churrasco experience then it's not really a lot of other entrees to choose from. They did have a few, and some ala carte dishes. So I made a side my entree which actually worked out. They have an all day happy hour menu, but you absolutely must sit at the bar. So I was a little bummed about the limited options I had to choose from. Other than that, the restaurant was packed. The staff were all friendly, and we had a good time. They also gave the birthday girl a free slice of cake! The cake looked delicious and rich. My other friend got tres leches cake and she enjoyed hers as well. They also had cocktails which looked refreshing, but were definitely mostly ice. The parking lot isn't all that it should be for the size of the restaurant. So be prepared to park at the mall and walk over if it's a busy day. There's a big space in the middle of the parking lot that they should definitely consider using for excess parking spots. It was a good time. I'd return for happy hour for sure. Check them out!!

We celebrated my friend's birthday at Fogo de Chão last weekend and it was definitely an experience. As soon as we walked in, the lobby was crowded with people waiting to be seated. We made reservations for Noon on a Sunday, so we hoped we wouldn't have to wait too long and seeing as though we were shoulder-to-shoulder with people in the lobby, we were anxiously waiting to be seated. Around 12:20pm, we checked with the ladies at the front to inquire about our table. She kept saying that it shouldn't be too much longer so we gave it a few more minutes and we were seated by 12:30pm. With it being Valentine's weekend, we assumed it would be busy but having to wait in a very small area with many other people was quite uncomfortable. Our server quickly greeted us and mentioned that there would be multiple servers tending to our table. He went over the menu, explained the Churrasco experience and brought out waters. We were then given their complimentary Popovers but honestly, I wasn't a fan of the texture. I decided on the Full Churrasco experience which included the Market Table and Brazilian Sides. The Market Table had many options to choose from. I thoroughly enjoyed the Potato Salad, Elote Corn, Smoked Salmon and Caesar Salad. Once we grabbed our sides, we were ready to try the different meat options. I loved how they offered different meat temps so that everyone could enjoy it to their liking. The Sirloins and Ribeye were pretty good but definitely under seasoned. My favorite was the Lamb Chops! My friend ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese and it tasted okay. The seafood flavor was a bit over powering and it could've used way more cheese. The Garlic Mashed Potatoes were delicious! Since it was our friend's birthday, she was able to choose a complimentary dessert so she went with the Chocolate Brigadeiro, which looked delicious. I chose the Tres Leches Cake and it was divine! Overall, we had a pretty decent experience. Lamara, who was apart of the Customer Service Team, stopped by frequently to ensure we had everything we needed. She was absolutely wonderful and our servers were just as great. I've tried the Bar Food at Fogo and I must say, I enjoyed that food much better than the Churrasco experience so I will definitely be returning to the bar lol!

A unique experience that we very much enjoyed! The marketplace had fantastic offerings. We loved the sweet, savory, and spicy flavors that complimented the selection of meats. Particularly the marketplace fruit & pickles were fantastic. The meat selections were very good, however, we were there quite a while and after finishing dessert we saw that they were bringing out new options we never had a chance to try. The dessert was fantastic. We got the tres leches and it is probably the best I've ever had. Appreciated the hardworking and helpful staff! Overall, a great date night experience. We will be back!

After 5 visits, I confidently can vouch that I enjoy the pichana, garlic sirloin steak, and rump roast sirloin cuts as my favorite meats for the churrasco. I usually go for the indulgent churrasco which includes a choice of side and a dessert. I feel it's a good deal if you want to splurge. While you can't take home any of the sides or any food home from the churrascos -you can take your side choice and dessert to go if you select the indulgent churrasco. I usually go for the crab cake or lobster as my side and for the dessert the tres leches cake or creme brûlée. It's more than plenty. While you don't have to partake in any of the churrascos (full buffet including meats) , they do offer plated meals. There is a separate bar menu if you are seated at the bar. I strongly recommend making reservations ahead of time. Typically a week in advance if dining on weekends and peak times. The menu prices tend to be less expensive during the week versus weekends. If you choose not to do the churrasco, you can do the all you can eat market table and soups. It consists of an array of fruits and salads including chicken salad, potato salads and charcuterie options. I recommend at least doing the full churrasco at least once. It's an experience in itself. You grab a plate from the buffet area, choose sides and/or soups from the market table area. Make sure you leave room on your plate for the meats or grab two plates one for your meats and one for your sides. You have a coaster that has a green side and red side. When you're ready the gauchos (meat servers) come around and if they see your coaster is on green will stop by your table with different cuts of meat from pork, chicken, lamb, beef) all different. You don't have to accept the meat if you choose not to. If you don't see the cut you want, you can request they bring one out. Be sure to have your tongs ready as they cut enough to hang to catch on certain meats. Other times they will just slide it off the stick onto your plate. Included in the churrasco they have a single cut churrasco where you choose one cut , full churrasco which include the all you can eat meats, market table, soup bar and unlimited sides of mashed potatoes, yucca fries, caramelized banana and those delicious cheese muffin breads.

Second visit here they have definitely worked the kinks out. Wait staff was amazing and the had more meat temps this time we like medium and last time all we got was well done. From the time we sat down Donte was very friendly and we were asked if we were ok by several of the staff. Thus experience was a lot more fine dining than our last.

Sitting at the bar was amazing! I was very happy with the service and our server was amazing. We decided to order some drinks (Strawberry Hibiscus Caipirinha & Skinny Caipirinha). Strawberry was to die for! We got two $6 bites (Brazilian Empanadas - 4/5 and Spiced Chicken Sliders 5/5) Then decided to get two shareable plates (Warm Hearts of Palm and Spinach Dip - 3/5, the bread was kind of stale and the dip left much to be desired) and (Filet Mignon Board - 5/5 amazingggg!!! It was so tender and the salt on the board was a delicious touch.) Next time for the shareable plates I will get "the bone" as recommended by our server. Yes, I will be back. Ambiance was beautiful and I loved my entire experience at the bar with the limited menu. I thought prices were very fair and food/drinks were great. Can't wait to come back!

No parking issues as it is within a larger shopibg center. I do believe the require reservations here as we had overhead them talking to another group when they arrived (this was around lunch on a weekday). We had made a reservation and we're sat around 5 minutes later. Not my first time at a Fogo but it was my first time doing lunch and at this location. Server was attentive and was great when trying to find the answer to a question I had but had forgotten a soft drink ordered and charged. Didn't really have the opportunity to remind but also had the charge removed easily. The meat options were ok, I think I saw the same 8-10 options, some were really salty but overall, not bad. I had a email where i did have an option for one upgrade otem and we chose the lobster which was delicious. I think some room for improvement for the location itself overall.

The restaurant is aesthetically beautiful, the lighting features were beautiful. We had reservations and it was a bit of a wait to be seated. Once seated we waited about 10 minutes before someone acknowledged us. The food was okay. The meats were tough and some lacked flavor. The crab cake was okay it had a lot of bread crumb filling. Service was really slow. The mashed potatoes came out after we were done with our meals. This is probably a one and done for me.

This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last. We were fortunate to grab two seats at the bar--our favorite place to dine--and from the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. We started with the Oysters Rockefeller, which arrived piping hot. The oysters were large, flavorful, and perfectly prepared--a wonderful way to begin the evening. Our Caesar salads followed shortly thereafter. Crisp romaine, fresh ingredients, and a well-balanced dressing made for another excellent course. For our entrées, we both chose the steak and lobster tail. My wife paired hers with the grilled asparagus, while I opted for the loaded mashed potatoes. Every component of the meal was cooked exactly as ordered, seasoned beautifully, and absolutely delicious. To top off the evening, the staff surprised my wife with a complimentary slice of cake garnished with fresh strawberries and mixed berries to help celebrate her birthday. It was a thoughtful gesture that made an already memorable evening feel even more special. Prime 757 delivered exceptional food, outstanding service, and a warm atmosphere that made my wife's birthday celebration one we'll remember for a long time. Six of us came in around 6:30 for a college reunion weekend, wanting one proper local seafood meal out of the trip. We put our names down and grabbed drinks from the bar before choosing a space to sit outside. The restaurant is really big, with indoor seating, outdoor sea-facing tables, and a little market in the back. There's also a picnic table area with some giant lawn game going, which is where we enjoyed our drinks, making the wait genuinely pleasant instead of something to endure. For our first round, we tried the "crush," the local specialty, and ordered one of every flavor. Fresh squeezed juice, flavored vodka, triple sec, Sprite. Grapefruit and cherry limeade were the winners. The pineapple was awful. None of them were very strong, so after the novelty wore off I moved on to something more my speed (nothing beats a tequila soda). They also have a respectable beer selection. Our table ended up right by the water with a view of the boats, and our waitress was so helpful walking us through the menu, including the fact that lumpia is a local specialty here thanks to the area's Filipino population, which I did not know. We got oysters and three other appetizers, then split one entree between every two people since the portions are enormous. The fried shrimp was the unanimous favorite, and the spinach crab dip, lumpia, blackened crab cake (almost everyone ordered it), potato salad, and hushpuppies were all excellent. All of that, plus roughly two cocktails a person and tip, came to about $50 each, which felt like quite the steal for high quality seafood! Big attached parking lot, docks if you're coming in by boat, and the market sells shirts, hats, fresh crab meat, take-home versions of the appetizers, and fishing basics. There was a bit of a line/wait if you wanted to use the women's restroom (but isn't that the case everywhere?) I would definitely come back here next time I'm in town!!

This go round, Steinhilber's came to mind because I hadn't been in over 10 years, when I attended a tasting event here. Steinhilber's has been around since 1939, and it's easy to see how they've stood the test of time. The restaurant sits in a gorgeous waterfront area in Virginia Beach, not too far from Town Center. The setting alone makes it feel like you're going somewhere special for dinner. We went on a Sunday, and there was a bit of a wait for an inside table. However, for our group of four, there was no wait at all to sit outside. The weather was beautiful, there was a nice breeze coming off the waterfront, and they have umbrellas that provide plenty of shade. Honestly, sitting outside ended up being a great choice. The staff here is also incredibly polite. You can tell they've been trained in fine dining etiquette, and everyone we interacted with was professional and attentive. They were very accommodating with every inquiry and request my family and I had throughout the evening. Now for the food! The thing I remembered most from my visit over 10 years ago was how delicious their fried shrimp were, so of course I had to order them again. I'm happy to report that they were just as delicious as I remembered! Crispy, flavorful, and even better paired with their signature "Steiny's Sauce." The twice baked potato was also delicious, and I added a side of creamed spinach, which was pretty good as well. All in all, Steinhilber's is a great restaurant with good food, gorgeous ambiance, and excellent customer service. There's a reason they've stood the test of time. My family and I really enjoyed our meals here, and I'm glad I finally made my way back after all these years!

Stopped by for a burger and a beer to drown in my solitude. Had great service. Prompt, attentive and genuine. Only downside was some pretentious guy named Jeff kept whining about the hostess and the service being "special needs" because he couldn't get his group prompt service under 15 minutes on a special holiday. If it wasn't for some derogative guy whining off the bell about how the service wasn't up to par every couple minutes I'd have enjoyed what would've been quite a depressing day for me. Other than that, burger was damn heavenly. Beer was cold and good. Service was grand. Some people just ruin it for others. Great spot, great burger, good beer and good folks. B.W.

The last time I set foot inside their Pleasure House Rd location was at least 10 years ago. I celebrated my birthday there as my friends were kind enough to take me out. It was a Sunday morning and I sought out a place that offered brunch. I noticed 1608 was open and decided to head over, especially since I haven't visited them in ages. When I walked in, I noticed their dining room is dimly lit - much darker than I remember. I was greeted immediately by a kind hostess and she proceeded to sit me at a nearby table and provided me with menus (one food, one alcohol). I took my time looking over the food menu, and in the meantime I ordered a pint of Center of the Universe's Bald Irishman and a bottle of Boylan's Black Cherry soda (they do not have a soda fountain). What made this visit memorable was that 1608's bartender, Hunter, was an old acquaintance from back in my restaurant days. He spotted me and came over to say hi. After my meal, I continued to catch up with him at the bar. His presence made a pleasant experience even more fantastic. I thought I was hungry, so I ordered 2 dishes - Smoked Ham Fried Rice and the Breakfast Burrito. According to Hunter, every item is made fresh in house. After biting into each, you could tell that's true. Both the fried rice and burrito were delicious and boasted lots of flavor. Although I prefer my fried rice a bit simpler (if you give me just garlic fried rice, I am SET), 1608's fried rice (veggies, garlic, soy, basmati rice, 2 runny eggs, smoked ham) had a lot going on, which made for a flavorful dish. I liked the rice and the burrito (Korean style fried chicken breast, scrambled eggs, cilantro lime, cheddar, pico de gallo) a lot. I didn't finish either because it was a lot of food (I really thought I was hungry, haha). But these leftovers turned into a fantastic dinner later on. 1608 looked clean and organized, although I thought it was a little too dark inside, at least for brunch service. That's not a dealbreaker since everything from the food to the service was as excellent as I remember. I hope to return soon with my mom. Regardless, I'll find my way back eventually. Thank you, 1608 Crafthouse! And great seeing you again, Hunter! JV

From the moment we arrived, the hostess, Milk, was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. She made us feel valued from the start, and throughout the evening she continued to provide excellent service to every table she assisted. She truly deserves recognition and a promotion. Unfortunately, our assigned server provided one of the worst dining experiences I've had. After taking our food and drink order, she returned only with our drinks and then disappeared for 15-20 minutes without checking on us. My friend's daughter's entrée arrived before our appetizers, and our appetizer--fried hard chicken wings--didn't arrive until about 20 minutes later. When we asked about the delay, the server said it was because we requested the wings to be fried hard. She then made a comment about "Black people in the kitchen cooking." Whether she intended it as a joke or not, the comment was unprofessional and made us uncomfortable. Because of the poor service and attitude, we asked if another server could assist us. While Milk continued to be wonderful, another employee with purple-blue hair was also very rude when we asked for assistance. Her attitude was dismissive and unpleasant. Later in the evening, around 11 p.m., I asked a staff member near the kitchen if they had lids for our seafood buckets. She responded "No" with an attitude. I then asked if they had to-go cups, and she said they did but claimed she was off duty. Less than 30 seconds later, she went behind the bar and began making and serving drinks, which made her response even more confusing. Shortly afterward, she began arguing with my friend at our table for no apparent reason. At that point, we asked Milk to get the manager. The manager came over, sat down with us, listened to our concerns, and apologized. He explained that he was actually off that day but had come in to help support the restaurant. We appreciated that he took the time to hear us out and said he would address the issues with his staff. The food itself was good, but good food cannot make up for poor customer service and disrespectful attitudes. We wanted this to be a memorable celebration for my friend's daughter, not an evening spent dealing with rude employees. Customer service is just as important as the food. Sadly, because of the experience we had, we will not be returning. I hope management invests in better customer service training because employees like Milk show what great hospitality should look like, while others left a very negative impression.

It was challenging to find parking but thankfully, we were able to find a spot right in the front. We were greeted as soon as we walked in and were seated right away. With it being lunch time, we assumed we would be able to grab some lunch but to our surprise, they were serving brunch and we were only able to order off the brunch menu. We were slightly confused and definitely didn't have taste for breakfast items so we had to choose from a small selection of non-breakfast items. We started with Palomas. The drink menu only included the drink prices for Happy Hour, and it definitely wasn't Happy Hour, so we weren't sure how much the drinks were. The server mentioned one price, then came back and told us another price but either way, all that would've been eliminated if the prices were on the menu. After looking over the brunch menu, my friend didn't see anything appetizing so she asked if they could make a BLT Sandwich, which wasn't on the menu, and they agreed. I decided on the Crab Cake Sandwich. The food was served in decent time. My friend had an end piece of tomato on her sandwich, which was disappointing. Our server took her sweet time checking on us so and we literally had to flag down another server just to get ketchup. My sandwich didn't even come with remoulade sauce that was supposed to be added. I did enjoy my sandwich though, it was very tasty. I also ordered the Bourbon Glaze Wings 'to-go' and they were delicious. From not being able to order from a lunch menu, to our server not being attentive at all, our experience wasn't that great. We also had to battle flies the entire time we were there, and we were sitting inside so that was a bit frustrating. The restaurant is located right by the Marina and it has great views but the service left a lot to be desired. I may return for dinner in hopes of a better experience but it probably won't be any time soon.

They have a few seats inside near the windows if you want to eat there, and the atmosphere was great. They had some old-school 90s and 2000s R&B playing, which immediately set the tone for me. I believe I was talking to the owner while I was there, and one thing that stood out was how he greeted everyone with a smile. I don't take customer service like that for granted. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does, and that made the experience even better. As for the food, everything was very well seasoned and flavorful. I ordered the fish and shrimp basket, and it was exactly what I was looking for. I also tried the wings, and those were good as well. Honestly, I don't have any complaints about the meal. They don't have any specialty house-made drinks, just your standard Pepsi and Coca-Cola products, but that wasn't a big deal to me because the food was the star of the show. Overall, this was a great experience. If I'm back in Virginia Beach, I'll definitely be stopping by again to try some of the other items on the menu. This is a spot I'd recommend if you're looking for good seafood and good people.

The lobster roll is the star of the show--tender, juicy, buttery perfection piled into a soft roll like it knows exactly how important it is. I will say, the amount of lobster seems to have slimmed down a little over the years...maybe an ounce or so? And yes, I noticed. I have photographic evidence! I've been sending pictures of these glorious lobster rolls to my sister for years purely to rub this delicacy in her face, so I basically have my own unofficial lobster-roll archive. The crinkle-cut fries are another must, especially with a little Old Bay sprinkled on top. That tiny dusting takes them from "good fries" to "hand me another basket immediately." And don't sleep on the fried shrimp platter. The shrimp are plentiful, nicely seasoned, and consistently one of my favorites when I somehow manage to order something besides lobster. I've had the whoopie pies. I've had the Snap Dogs. They're perfectly fine, I'm sure. But this body was not built on "perfectly fine." This body was built on the REALLY good stuff. LOBSTER.
