Tried this Chinese restaurant today for lunch. Service is friendly but food is way too salty. We have fried calamari, beef chowmein, hot and sour soup and stir fry vegetables. My tongue feels like burning with saltiness...it's not reflecting the the low sodium on ad...place is okay

What a great find for Chinese Cuisine in Folsom! Really nice atmosphere with the relaxing blues/jazz music and the lighting was nice as well. Super comfortable seating and plenty of it. I would consider Folsom Palace a fancier establishment from their menu to their service. They even have black toilets!! The Cashew Chicken was made with white meat, the Thai Basil Beef was very tender and flavorful. The Chicken Chow Mein was also delicious! Price point was a bit high but all things considered, I believe it's worth it. The service was friendly and nice! Definitely repeating visits in the future. Side note, their lunch menu is more affordable and the portions are slightly smaller although it comes with the standard sides like chow mein.

I was in the area for an event so decided to grab dinner here. It was a weeknight so they were not busy. The place was nicely decorated. They have great selections on their menu. I love Chinese food so was kinda hard for me to decide on what to order. I ended up ordering Hong Kong style noodle with beef and Hunan chicken. Both were delicious. Portions were decent. Quality seemed fresh to me. Services were quick and attentive.

    Nice ambiance!

Finally, a very good Chinese restaurant located on Sunrise Blvd. near Madison Ave. Friendly staff, great comfort food. All cooked to order. (No buffet style here!). Go to restaurant for comfort food.

The "handsoap" in the bathroom. I took a picture to show my partner but then we got sick and I wonder if its from lackbof real soap

I hate to say this but it appears the crew working there on sunday evening is a bunch of kids or young adults that dont care about foodborne illiness(or perhaps dont know anything about them.) or their customers they were too invested in their conversations in the kitchen and looking at the guests not actually serving them and laughing about who knows what after im all for having fun while you work but this was just very unprofessional, took far too long to get our food for dine in which is whatever no biggie if they had phone orders or door dashes they cant help that so we brushed it off however the bath gel in the bathroom rather than actual hand soap makes me wonder about the handwashing and cleanliness in the kitchen is like, we did get sick it was only for a small window of time but nonetheless wasn't a pleasant experience. I dont typically like to do this but we've been there many times before and never have had this experience i only want to make this be known for the higher ups to make a change because whatever we got was brutal for that small window of time it affected us and there were elderly people dining in and I hope they didn't suffer the same fate yesterday night like we did.. the food did taste good we were really happy once we got it just wish we didnt get sick from it. We also tried to reach out privately but no luck i dont want anything from this just for the gentlemen there to be more careful and to realize how easy it is to make people ill from food, how easy bacteria spreads , and for them to take a little pride in food provided and service to guests i hope a change is made before the carelessness gets anyone else sick i didnt want to say anything or leave this review but i dont want anyone else to get sick ,it is a favorite spot of ours we only go here as a treat every so often, so were bummed out we had to toss out all of our leftovers out of not knowing what part of the meal made us ill.

You have to try this place. It's really delicious and if you go during lunch, you get a free soup.. I tried the beef and broccoli with cauliflower with chow mein and I was in love. Very very savory and delicious and I cannot wait to come back to try different dishes. The staff was very attentive and took very good care of us. It's a small little restaurant, but it's cute and decorated nicely.

AWESOME! I went once, and I've been back again and again! I am so happy to have found a good (especially for lunch) Chinese spot! The employees are so nice and friendly. It's clean and happy inside. They have a nice outdoor area for when the weather gets nice. It's on Riley in the same shopping area as Wendy's. Easy to find and easy to park. Everything I have ordered has been delicious, hot and fresh. They use high quality chicken in the chicken dishes. My favorite is the pot stickers! YUM. It's a great place to get a hot lunch for a good price. They have a new loyal customer.

So sad! I have eaten here for years and the food has always been good. I ordered the lemon chicken today and instead of the wonder slices of chicken that USED to be in the lemon chicken it was super breaded and fried.... Not good. The rice was fine, and the walnut shrimp was good- BUT between the spike in prices and this now with the lemon chicken I think I will be finding a new restaurant....

Hands down the best Wor Wonton soup in Folsom. I tried their honey walnut prawns for the first time today and they are fantastic too. Great friendly staff :)

Found this gem today on accident. I'm so glad I did. The place is absolutely gorgeous inside. The food was ahhhhmazing, large portions and screamed high quality. The BEST spot stickers I've ever had. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Definitely will be back!

We came by for a family lunch today right at opening after youngest promotion day. I'm sure it was strategically planned as he wanted to hit up Barnes and Nobles after for some books ;) I got myself a smart book worm kid I tell yah...must be my side of the family hahaha. Anyways, back to the review...we were the first diners to arrive. My oldest son is always down for Poke! Nolan ordered a large and it was 5 scoops of protein for $25.95 (fairly small scoops imo), with a base of his choice and he chose mix rice and mixed greens. I asked him what his thoughts were and he said it was nothing special and that it was kinda pricey for what he got. He also said he was confused when he was trying to pick the fish from the buffet space as it didn't match the signs in front of them so he had to order from the menu and watch the guys put it in his bowl. Not sure if they just weren't ready for us as we were the first diners of the day. My youngest ordered the Taco trio which consists of 1 Ahi Poke Taco, 1 Salmon Poke Taco and 1 Cooked Salmon Taco for $19.99. The entree came out looking pretty appetizing but we were disappointed that the taco shells were all stale. Not crunchy in anyway. My son ate most of the filling and left the shells. We ordered the SALMON CARPACCIO which was described as 7 pieces thinly sliced fresh salmon, microgreens, sesame seeds, japanese seven spice, yuzu ponzu for 18.50 to share. When this came out, my son was so surprised that it was so tiny as it was not enough to share so my little man had it all to himself. I couldn't decide what to order. I debated on the fish and chips but was told they didn't have batter so it was a no go special today. The said the poke nacho's was popular but I wasn't craving poke personally. So my partner and I ended up ordering (2) servings of Garlic Shrimp. When I asked how many shrimps came with the servings, the guy behind the counter didn't know. It came out with 7 shrimps and a tiny bit of garlic over a ton of rice. Flavor was good, I wanted more sauce and garlic to go with the rice we were given. This place doesn't skimp on rice in their bowls. All in all, portions to prices were a bit off for us. The guys behind the counters were nice. Place was clean.

It just always makes me laugh when staff likes to make you feel bad for not having a reservation. Like, come on... there were SO many open tables throughout the entire 90 minutes we were there. Anyway-- I got a glass of the house red wine for the happy hour special, it was good. And we got to squeak in an order of the Ahi Nachos, which I believe are only offered on Happy Hour, and OMG, they were SO good. We were still talking about them the next day. The "nachos" were like a fried wonton. And just all around, the entire dish was delicious! Spicy jalapeños, quality tuna. Go to this place, even JUST for these nachos. The spicy crab (or lobster, I can't remember) bisque, was also really good. I'd recommend it. Mildly spicy, not crazy. My coworker got the caesar salad, and was very underwhelmed with it. For my entree I got the Pesto Scallop pasta. The scallops were overcooked, and underwhelming, in size. But I acknowledge that could just be the season. Doesn't excuse the fact that they were overcooked. The pesto sauce was yummy! I give this place a solid 4 stars, and would definitely revisit next time I'm back in the area. Ahi Tuna Nachos get a 5 star, though, for sure. Thanks for hosting us!

I was shocked, and frankly, it's an insult in my opinion, that Rudy's is so "cheap" about the bread! For all we pay for our dinners, asking for extra bread should not be a problem nor an extra charge! That really is a shame because now I am hesitant to consider bringing friends to Rudy's. She patiently explained the menu and answered all of our questions. We ordered across the menu: a ribeye, a filet, the salmon, and one of the daily specials, scallops. There were a couple of substitutions: extra spinach instead of mashed potatoes with the salmon and fingerling potatoes instead of the mashed potatoes with the ribeye. I ordered the Brussels sprouts as well. Everything was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered. The proteins were substantial, well worth the price. We tried two desserts, the crème brûlée and the banana cheesecake. They matched the quality of the entrees. Everyone remarked on how great the sourdough bread that was brought to the table was. As the ladies in our party said, you could make a meal out of the bread along with some cheese and wine. We were seated in one of the side rooms, which didn't seem to hinder the service at all. Our water glasses were promptly refilled. It was a great experience.

FOOD we started with the chilled prawn cocktail. the prawns were fantastic, and the cocktail sauce was divine. we jumped into a cup of lobster bisque; which was something i was looking forward to. unfortunately, the soup tasted like a very bland tomato fish soup. ugh. it lacked flavor and i don't think there was hardly any lobster in it. major bummer! we go the surf and turf (with lobster), the rib eye, and mushrooms and brussels to accompany the steaks. TONS of food, which was nice (especially for the price)! both steaks were ordered medium rare; the filet was cooked as ordered and the rib eye was on the medium/medium well side. however, the major bummer with the rib eye was the menu states well marbled but the steak gas VERY fatty when you're paying $62 for a USDA prime, "well-marbled" (per the menu's description) steak, the last thing i'd expect is to describe the steak as more fatty then marbled. the sides were great; the garlic mashed potatoes with the soy wasabi sauce were incredible! SERVICE our server started out very attentive and progressively we saw him less and less throughout the night; waiting for the check, needing water refills, etc. i get that everyone has busy tables and the F&B industry is having a tough time, but dang. at a place like this, i'd expect top notch service throughout the dining experience! AMBIANCE it's very nice inside. super cool bar when you first walk in. lots of spacious seating so you're not sitting on top of one another and modern decor. after having worked in F&B, i totally understand the industry; some nights people call out, larger parties consume the kitchen, etc. but for the price, nothing really seemed to blow us out of the water :( hopefully it was just a bad night that we went. it has a great reputation for a reason! hoping the next visit is a better experience!
