food is good but drinks are okay depending on what you get. i'm not a big coffee drinker but their teas are pretty good but their matcha drinks could be better. they do have a decent selection of pastries but i've only tried their scone and bacon egg and cheese which was amazing when heated up. Located within Brookfield Place I came here for a drink and a snack! I enjoyed my drinks and pastries from the Long Island location in the past but this one wasn't as great as I remembered their other locations to be iced hazelnut latte - 3.5/5 - pretty standard. Although they do have a great milk selection! chocolate chip cookie - 1/5 - dry, cakey.. not a fan & I am a big chocolate chip cookie fan clean environment, tables for seating, friendly service, but probably will go for the other coffee shops within Brookfield next time. read more

This was my preferred coffee spot as a World Trade Center employee until the ridiculous customer service experience I just had. I ordered a simple cold brew with half and half on the app during my commute. When I picked it up, the "coffee" was ivory. There was even a reservoir of cream at the base of the cup. It got even lighter as it mixed. I asked for a new one, stating it was way too much cream and minimal coffee. The barista called over the manager, who asked me "what's the problem", in which I explained the above. He asked me why I didn't indicate that I wanted less cream, although that's not an option on the app. He then told me it was wasteful, and to next time order in the store and pour it myself. "Come to the counter and I'll show you how to order", is exactly what he said. He proceeds to make me a new one, adds a MICRO droplet of cream and says, "how's this?" with a petty attitude. I said perfect, and left, to never return again. Starbucks, which has much kinder service and arguably better coffee, would never turn down, argue, or question a customer if requesting a replacement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Mind you, the cafe was completely empty on a Monday morning.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And my order couldn't have been more simple, a cold brew with cream. For nearly $8 nonetheless... They just recently opened, and the interior is beautiful! They have a ton of marketing in Brookfield Mall, as they tout how local their coffee is (4.9 miles away, according to their ads). The staff are extremely friendly, though might need more training (instead of telling me that they didn't have cold brew tea, one staff very assertively told me that their cold brew coffee was their cold brew tea, and that cold brew tea is the same as cold brew coffee. I'm fairly certain that is not the case and that cold brew tea it is made of tea, not coffee beans.) I ordered one of their pastries- the chicken sausage empanada, which was basically a processed sausage patty (the kind that you see at McDonald's) and pre-made scrambled eggs with a weird combo of spices, including what tasted like cinnamon and cloves, wrapped in a pie crust-like sphere. The only resemblance it had to an empanada was that it had a outer layer with a filling inside. Otherwise, it was extremely dry, processed, and just did not taste good for its hefty $7 price tag. They have a selection of sweeter pastries, which I might try next. For now, stick with the drinks and avoid the "empanada"!! read more

Coffee is good. Drip coffee is comfortably hot and never burnt. Space is open and well lit but can feel a bit sterile. The staff members are actually very friendly. There were some growing pains initially in terms of service speed when they first opened here years ago but it's reliably fast now. I usually get the drip but I can also attest to the quality of the cold brew and espressos. Solid choice in the Brookfield complex. Get your punch card! read more

New coffee spot for all the people working in Brookfield. Wide and narrow interior with some tables to the side, grab and go options to the wall, and pastries behind the glass. Been here twice, once to stop in and another with a Ritual pickup. Cold Brew ($4.50) is good, and the Bottled Cold Brew ($4) gives you just about the same amount of coffee for less. Food needs some work; the Yogurt Parfait ($7?) is way too sweet, and the Breakfast Wrap ($7) was cold, uneven, and salty. Service here is friendly as they are trying to attract new customers (gave away punch cards and Nutella cookies to start off). Prices are higher than I'd like and the food needs improvement. read more

I have had some experience with For Five coffee roasters at a previous job that had an on-site location just for employees. I always found their iced lattes to be awesome. When I saw their was a For Five location near my current job, I wanted to check it out. I needed to head to Brookfield Place for another item, so I thought I'd go for it...convenient. Brookfield is a mad house for lunch. I was a little scared of venturing into this coffee shop; however, it was bright, spacious, and not at all over crowded. While I didn't stay, I definitely could have found a seat. I ordered through the Ritual App and it was extremely easy. My coffee was ready for me about 30 seconds after walking in (I had only ordered a few minutes prior). My brief encounter with the staff was pleasant. They all seemed friendly and upbeat. I ordered The Five. It was calling my name for weeks. It was very tasty. The chocolate is smooth and not too sweet. It still tastes like coffee. There is nothing I hate more than an overly sweet and milky drink, taking away from the star of the show. Good quality coffee for sure and I'm a total coffee snob. I'm talking French Press every morning with freshly grinded beans from 90+ rated coffees delivered from specialty roasters. Yeah. I am pleased, but definitely need to try some other items and extend my stay for a fuller experience. This place just opened. I went in the last few days before the grand opening and was greeted by the staff who were incredibly friendly. Today was the first day I ordered anything... a large latte. It was FANTASTIC. I normally shy away from boutique coffee spots in favor of larger chains. I cannot stand the attitude that I get from snooty baristas who feel like they are sitting on the cure for cancer. For Five was NOT like that at all. They were so welcoming, had a positive attitude and were truly happy to have me there as a customer. I LOVE good customer service. From what I have seen, customer service is clearly a priority for them. This place is going to do really well. Competitively priced, great product, convenient (for me) location, beautiful store, friendly staff and they obviously have solid top-down management. This side of Brookfield needed a good coffee spot. I'm glad they arrived to fill that void. read more

Official Grand Opening is tomorrow so today they gave Iced Coffee Samples and samples of a variety of their breakfast pastries. Everything is baked locally in Queens and brought in so it's very fresh. The coffee was very good, although I prefer a hot coffee over iced, tried the sample to see if I liked the flavor which I do. Also had the Nutella Bites, both the chocolate and vanilla ones which were delicious. Looking forward to visiting often in the future as they are in the complex I work at. Best of luck!! read more

Nice clean and huge cafe inside Brookfield Place. I tried out their chai tea and strawberry shortcake cookie. I felt the spice flavor in my tea was quite strong but loved the cookie. One cookie was so filling and the inside was really gooey and soft. They offer a wide range of baked goods and cafe drinks. The bar is very long and open so you can watch your drink being made. There is a lot of standing space and 3 huge seating slots at the back end of the cafe. read more

Today after making my trip to pick up , was informed I had made an error and hadn't ordered it. This is despite showing a text and an in app confirmation from them my coffee was being prepared. Instead of fixing their error I was offered a cappuccino only if I paid them(again) Funnily enough I didn't take them up on their tempting offer. Never been accused of lying before , this is a new one. I have now double checked my statement and suprise suprise, have been charged for the original purchase.
