Glad I finally had a chance to try the pizza here! I've only heard good things. For City Foundry prices, this place is also very reasonable as well! I ordered a margarita pizza, and it was tasty. The bread is the type that I like, and I could really taste that authentic stone-fired pizza taste here. Service was great too. Be aware that you may need to wait up to 10 minutes to receive your pizza since they need to fire it up, but it's worth the wait. Grab your punch card too! read more

PLEASE SEE THIS! If you're paying with a credit card, use the Kiosk to order your food. They had a sign for it, which I missed because I was too focused on the menu above. If you don't use the kiosk, they will tell you, but don't expect it to be done kindly. They might be frustrated by the amount of times they have to mention it to people, which I totally understood... but if that many people are missing it, maybe the sign should be placed somewhere more visible. I probably was more hangry and sensitive too so it rubbed me the wrong way... which is why I'm still keeping it five stars. Despite that ordering hiccup, I recommend their pizza. It's definitely better than some other local, high rated, romantic restaurants I've tried. Once you get brick oven pizza, other pizza's are just not the same. I dug it, though, because it was hella tasty. You can't go wrong with multiple cheeses on bread. The pizzas at Fordo's are wood-fired, so they come out crispy yet chewy, with little bits of char on the crust. This is great pizza. We also ordered the garlic cheesy bread, which looks very similar to the cheese pizza, but is about half the size and doesn't have honey on it. It's very fast, probably because of the oven temperature so don't let the idea of a dough-to-pizza moment wait keep you from trying Fordo's. It's located inside of City Foundry so the cleanliness and ambiance are difficult to control but I find the concept really cool and somehow, someone keeps up with the tables. The pizza itself is a different experience - the sauce tasted like fresh tomatoes, closer to a marinara than a pizza sauce and the topping combinations have a flair. Fontina cheese gives a different flavor to the pizza and zero cheese pull. It's good but definitely go into it expecting something different. Wellllll of course I still wanted my pizza, it was prepared, hot-n-fresh, staring at me in the box. I ordered a pepperoni pizza with mushrooms, to my surprise when you add mushrooms they give you a variety because the mushrooms are pre-sliced and it's three different varieties of mushroom's combined together. I asked what was the wait as soon as I arrived because I was on lunch. Since the pizzas are woodfired, the wait time is only 5 minutes...........SHUTUP!!!! My pizza was prepped, cooked and ready to go by the time the whole gift card fiasco was resolved. It was perfectly cooked, nothing charred. The pizza was delicious, piping hot, flavorful and surprising large. I easily shared my pizza with my coworkers with no problems and still had enough to myself to be full. I really loved this place. The pizza was so good, especially the crust with the slight char. I gave it a 4 star because I think it's a little pricey for how small the servings are. I could've probably gone for a piece or 2 more. The only complaint about the pizza itself I have is it was a little doughy, but still so good, and nothing that would deter me from getting it again.
