My family ordered a truckload of Uncle Leo's pizza to eat while we gathered together one night during our visit. We ordered for delivery, so I can't comment on service or atmosphere really, but my family who lives there said it's basically carry-out only, so I don't guess I missed much, lol. It was a very busy Saturday night and we got a huge order. It took over an hour for it to be made and delivered, but they did warn us about that wait time, so nbd lol. It came at around the time they promised, which is what matters most! My husband was excited to St. Louis style pizza and there were lots of pizzas to try. They arrived hot and fresh. I was still pretty full from our earlier dinner, but I tried one slice of what I belief was the margherita pizza. The cheese was super gooey, the crust was nice and crispy, and the olive oil base gave it a nice and rich feel. Good pizza! Everyone else was happy with their slices too. I will say the toppings are generally covered by cheese and so if you don't know what was ordered you might wind up with a bite of something you don't like (as was the case for my heat-averse aunt who got a big mouthful of jalapeño on one of her slices). **May 2025: Weeknight Visit** I did my homework and called ahead to place my order. My friend and I decided to get a Medium Chicken D'Light ($16.99) and Toasted Raviolis ($8.99). On a Friday night the wait time was around 50-55 minutes or so. When we arrived our order was ready and we decided to enjoy it there in their outdoor seating area. It was my first time having St. Louis style pizza and the pie certainly has a distinct flavor profile. The cracker-like crust and gooey cheese texture was a surprise, but I did enjoy their combination of ingredients. I think personally, I still prefer Deep Dish or Detroit style over St. Louis-style, but I think Uncle Leo's does a great rendition of this city staple. The toasted raviolis kind of reminded me of Totino's (those pizza rolls you get from the grocery store). Overall, I think Uncle Leo's is a solid local mom n' pop joint that would be a great business to support. read more

Toasted ravioli are good, but the star is the marinara. So good! We love the pizza - St Louis cracker crust style but you can choose mozzarella if you prefer over Provel. A little slice of heaven on Lin Ferry (pun intended). I've heard tons of great things about Uncle Leo's and figured it was time to try it out. It's located in a shopping center and is easy to miss. Lots of parking in the lot! There are two tables inside, so keep that in mind with your dining plans. They offer carry out (and delivery) if there isn't seating available. Patio is also an option if weather is cooperating. I started with a side salad which is a very simple salad with lettuce, provel, amazing croutons, tomatoes, and dressing of your choice. I love all things provel, so this was right up my alley. The croutons are homemade which makes this even better- delicious. Our pizza order was an XL deluxe and bacon, 1/2 and 1/2. This is probably the best St. Louis style pizza I've ever had. It fits the description of stl style, but all elements are elevated m. Crust is more airy and homemade tasting, toppings are fresh, and all is served with a nice side of friendliness and hospitality. Absolute best pizza lunch special I've come across. $10 for a small STL style pie, house salad and a beverage. You can tell the difference in the ingredients and care put into the food compared to our local chain conglomerates. Very nice service. I went with pepperoni and sausage, just a buck for the extra topping. They weren't skimpy at all with the edge to edge toppings and the salad was delicious. We stopped into Uncle Leo's to try it out as it is in this year's Pizza Passport and I drive by it weekly leaving the grocery store. How have I missed this gem for the last several years?? Their thin crust pizza is fantastic. I feel like usually Saint Louis style thin crust pizza has fairly mushy crust that doesn't feel like it gets baked through - that is not the case here. The crust is delicate and crispy while the sauce and topping make the pizza. We ordered a cheese and the deluxe and I honestly couldn't pick a favorite. On top of great pizza, everyone who worked there was so kind and helpful. The inside is small but does have a couple tables to sit at if you want to dine in but it appeared as if they had a pretty good carry out business. They also had sandwiches and salads, which I will be trying in the future! This is definitely worth a stop in and it will quickly become one of your favorites! read more

I will first confess that St. Louis style is not my favorite, but I do like it, and we keep it in the rotation. We got the meat pizza, the buffalo chicken pizza, and a salad, and it was good. I'm still just having a hard time not thinking all STL style pizza tastes the same... I may just be the odd woman out. Uncle Leo's is probably my favorite pizza in St. Louis. It is a St. Louis style pie, but loaded with ingredients and made with real crust (not some manufactured crust). The pies are baked in a pizza oven, not a conveyor belt. This is primarily a take out place, though there are a couple of tables inside. I wouldn't advise just showing up there and expecting to sit and dine. So the service is at the counter and/or on the phone and it is always very pleasant. I have had the pizza, cheese garlic bread and the cannelloni bites, all very good. Don't be in a big hurry - this place will be busy at the dinner hour, especially on a Friday or Saturday.
