    Crab Cake Benedict
    Christine K.

We went for brunch and were the only customers. I was worried that meant it would be a dud. The service was quick and efficient. The server came back with refills without us having to request, always nice! I had the crab cake Benedict and my husband had the fish and chips. The eggs were a softer poach than I prefer, but otherwise delicious. The fish and chips were really good as well. The interior is kind of dated and sad but it was clean so there's that!

Ford's is such a timeless classic. I went recently with my dad and had absolutely delicious lobster tail and crab legs. My dad always gets the fish tacos, which he says are "the best" he's had in Ashburn. The angry muscles are also VERY good. The inside has a cool vibe to it and some nice fish/ocean decorations throughout. The hostesses/hosts and servers are always fantastic and speedy as well.

Delicious food, good portion size, friendly service. We tried the fish and chips, fish sandwich, and angry mussels. Everything was delicious. Perfectly hot and crispy! I would also say this place is kid friendly. A large kids menu and it's not too loud.

I always love my experience at Fords. They have a variety of food options, portions are large so I feel like I get a good amount for my dollar, and they always have the games going. It's just an easy laid back spot with awesome service. We came on a Sunday afternoon and sat at their bar high tops which are actually comfy! I typically don't like sitting at the bar if the seating sucks, but I don't mind here. We ordered the: Farrow salmon salad 10/10 Ribs & lobster tail 10/10 Rocket shrimp 7/10 Previous visits my go to is the crab cake or scallops Overall I'll keep coming back!

So just got to town and looked up some restaurants in the area and this was it! Ordered the New England clam chowder to start and the catch of the day. Both were delicious but the Alaskan halibut was the best, very moist and paired with a rich sauce and green beans. Oh and the prices are very fair and the service was great. Overall perfect choice for our first night in town.

Amazing place, amazing food. Everything about it was great. The server took great care of us and the inside inside is very clean. Straightforward review, great place, definitely recommend.

Came with a work Group. Everyone enjoyed their food. For appetizers we had bruschetta, calamari, oysters. All had high remarks. The entrees consisted of the Cod, Lobstah Toll, Lobstah Salad, Fish and chips. Everyone really liked their entrees as well except the. Fish and chips. She felt it tasted off and different from other times she's ordered it. I ordered the bread pudding dessert and it was really good. I would return. Service was awesome too!

HH Oysters - delicious, with the perfect balance of sweet and briny. Fish & Chips - plump and meaty, with a perfectly seasoned, crispy batter. Fish Tacos - made with cod (stop, my heart!). Most places use mahi mahi or tilapia, but the cod was absolutely delicious. Which I prefer anyway! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Left happy, full, and already planning my next visit!

I got the fish and chips($22) and it came out in about 15 minutes. The fries and fish had an excellent batter and was served very hot and fresh. The fish was moist, flaky, and seasoned well. Tartar sauce was also quite good. Staff was friendly and restaurant was clean and had cool decor. Overall a really good lunch experience, I would definitely come back again! This was my first visit to Ashford Virginia and I am so happy that I found Fords fish shack. It is a family friendly restaurant with a full bar. The atmosphere was very lively I got there at about 630pm and there was no wait. I was seated at a booth. The food was phenomenal. I have nothing but good things to say about the food for appetizers. I started with the calamari which had a lobster reduction sauce, and I also had the deviled eggs which had a candied pecan on top of it. it was so good. I ate all four. I didn't share it with anyone . For my dinner, I went with the Connecticut lobster roll corn on the cob and a chopped salad. My friends had the surf and turf, which was a steak and a crabcake. They also had a fried fish basket and shrimp tacos all of which were 10 out of 10. The service was incredible. The server was very attentive and knowledgeable. He greeted us upon entry, took our drink orders immediately, and our appetizers was spaced accordingly with our entrées. This will definitely be my new go to spot when I'm back in the Ashburn Virginia area. I was very happy. I can't wait to try the other things on the menu.

We stopped here to grab a quick bite before going home. The rock shrimp and the footlong lobster roll were really good! With those two dishes, my husband and I were full. It's your typical seafood restaurant vibe, and the service was good.

On our way to Lisbon, Portugal today (flight tonight) we stopped at Ford Fish Shack. This is our second time here, and the food is awesome! The espresso martinis are made with Baileys, which was a little sweet for our taste. We told the bartender how to make a "manmosa," which is really Absolut vodka, Champagne, and a splash of either orange juice, cranberry, or pomegranate. He had never heard of that but willing to ask the bartender. The bartender made one for us, and it was absolutely delicious--just as we would find in most places in Hampton Roads. Anyway, we had the blackened shrimp, which was also delicious, along with a side of blackened scallops. They should really consider making "blackened scallop tacos" because they were incredibly good! Our waiter, a young guy named Nelson, was very pleasant and attentive. He made the whole experience wonderful. We asked for several things that weren't customary at this establishment, but he was able to either ask the chef or the bartender to make it happen for us. I can't say enough good things about this place. If you're in town, driving through, or simply passing by, stop by and say hello to them. I am even suggesting they ADD "manmosa" to their menu and call it a "DenMosa." ... again gave Nelson my recipe. Hopefully, they'll consider it! This place is wonderful.

The crab cake is not full of breading and filler like a lot of crab cakes, so I was happy with that. I got the "Goliath" crab cake platter, which came with hush puppies and a side, and I paid the extra $2.50 for the seafood salad. The hush puppies were cooked perfectly and were pretty tasty, a little sweet like I prefer them, and also pretty filling. I was a bit disappointed in the seafood salad since the dressing that is used overpowers the taste of the imitation crab, which is what I wanted to taste. I love the sweetness of the crab, but didn't taste it at all. Overall, I was happy with my food but I can't say I will eat here very often as my meal was $42 without including the tip, and for one person and a meal that barely filled a to go box it's a bit much. However, if I crave a crab cake sandwich, I will stop in again and try that.

Later, after another conversation about wine, he brought over a taste of a white we'd never even heard of because he thought we'd enjoy trying it. It never felt like an upsell. The food was beautifully presented and the wine pairing was superb. Definitely recommend having them pair your wines. The grilled shrimp was a great start. The sparkling rose made the shrimp taste even better. The goat cheese ravioli was probably my favorite savory dish of the evening. The sweet sage-maple syrup-tomato sauce was fantastic. The Sancerre was pleasant with it, although I thought the ravioli itself was more impressive than the pairing. I had to order bread so the sauce wouldnt go to waste. I ordered the lamb medium rare, but it arrived closer to medium, and initially it was somewhat underseasoned. After adding salt and pepper and getting some of the thyme from the plate into the bite, the lamb became significantly better and worked better with the Châteauneuf-du-Pape. The creamed spinach underneath was delicious on its own, but I didn't enjoy it with the wine. Interestingly, the absolute highlight of that wine pairing was the braised garlic. The sweet, mellow garlic and Châteauneuf-du-Pape were wonderful together. Dessert was the highlight of the entire pairing. The lavender ice cream was outstanding, the Chantilly surrounding it was light and delicious, and the strawberry sauce wasn't overly sweet. The Sauternes was excellent with the dessert, particularly with the fresh strawberry. This was the pairing where the food and wine truly made each other better. Even though I was one of the last diners of the evening, I never felt rushed. My server was very attentive and social which I love. What a wonderful experience! The restaurant is a very, quite spacious and very welcoming. It's right next to a lake and so the setting was lovely. We had an indoor/outdoor room with doors that opened to the outside. I had a raspberry lemon martini with a sugared glass rim. Very nicely presented. They have a very varied menu and they also have a large gluten-free menu. We both had the lobster bisque as a starter and then we both ordered the fish tacos. The soup was filled with lots of lobster meat and was delicious. The fish tacos were made with cod and the waiter mentioned that the slaw had some habanero chile in it. I asked if it was spicy and he said it might have a slight kick, but was not spicy. He was absolutely correct and in fact, if he hadn't mentioned the habanero I would not have picked up on it at all. It was really good. If you order bread, (and you have choices on type), you are charged I think a dollar per order, but that is donated to help people who are food challenged. We were full from our dinner, but we could not pass up an order of key lime pie for dessert, which we shared. It was a hard choice because they had a special dessert which was chocolate peanut-butter pie. I wish we could have had both. Their other desserts also sounded great. By the way, a portion of their revenues from desserts are also donated to help those who need food assistance. I was very impressed that they do that. I want to mention that the wait staff was also great. Friendly, attentive, but not over-bearing. I can't say enough about Sweetwster Tavern. For a weeknight, this restaurant was surprisingly busy, which felt like a good sign! Dinner started out with trying some of their appetizers. We got the Tex Mex Egg Rolls as well as their special Burrata appetizer. The Tex Mex Egg Rolls came with four tasty mini egg rolls filled with smoked chicken, corn, black beans, onions, peppers, and jalapeño jack cheese. They were served with a creamy avocado dipping sauce that added a cool, refreshing contrast to the savory filling. Overall, these were a light and flavorful way to start the meal. The Burrata special was also pretty good. It came with three crisp breads, cherry tomatoes, basil pesto, extra virgin olive oil and drizzles of balsamic glaze. I loved the buttery, creamy burrata paired with the juicy cherry tomatoes. I also liked how the basil pesto and balsamic glaze gave a bright, herby flavor. For my entree, I opted for the Wood Grilled Chicken Breast. Two generous pieces of tender grilled chicken were served over angel hair pasta tossed in brown butter sauce, alongside roasted cremini mushrooms and green beans. Interestingly, I got a lemony flavor in the brown butter sauce, which was unexpected but surprisingly delicious. I especially enjoyed the roasted cremini mushrooms. These were earthy, meaty and full of flavor! Overall, I really enjoyed my dinner at Sweetwater Tavern. From the flavorful starters to the hearty entree, it was a satisfying first dinner in Dulles. I'm glad I took the hotel receptionist's recommendation. Locals know best!

Saigon Bistro is a top Yelp recommendation with many great reviews as well as being very close to…read morewhere I live. Let me start by saying that the Pho was good and a good value. Nothing exceptional but good quality, good food And a fair amount of steak in mine for $16. I wish I could say the same about the service or lack there of provided by the two young female servers. For starters, they have zero communication skills. They drop things at the table and just stand there without a word. I did not receive the Vietnamese coffee that I ordered until I asked for it nor was I asked whether or not I wanted it with whipped cream - there's was no description on the menu so I wasn't aware it came with whipped cream. When we placed our order we asked for extra cilantro and received no cilantro at all. Once the runner delivered our food no one came over to ask how everything had turned out, if we needed anything else etc. The lack of communication, lack of attention to detail and quite frankly complete lack of personality turned a pleasant afternoon meal into a disappointment. It's a shame because I saw several other things on the menu that I'd like to try but I'm not interested in being in that unpleasant atmosphere again
