The casual fastaurant does not disappoint. I don't get out to this side too often, since I was in the vicinity, I had to treat myself. My daughter and I shared a regular beef cheesesteak with onion, bell roper, hot and sweet peppers with provolone and a side of ranch dressing. There is Ranch dressing and wannabe ranch. Their ranch is amazing. Our sandwich was perfectly balanced with all the peppers, onions and meat. I would definitely come back

Whatta solid joint! Been back to Forefathers a few times and that statement should speak for itself. Quality and consistent with friendly staff. Now for the food, I have always ordered a regular cheesesteak, which is a very respectable size, that is to say, I do not leave hungry. I ordered mine with jalapeños on it (Pro tip: Only order with jalapeños on it if you love spicy food like me, can be a bit overbearing for softer palates. Can also just get them on the side from their mini fridge). The fries are crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, (another pro tip, get yourself a few of their fry sauces from their mini fridge, goes great with the cheesesteak too!) The stand out aspect for me, beyond the solid food, is the ambiance. A very nice, modern interior that is always clean, just check out those bathroom pics! Overall, go back to your ancestral roots, cause ForeFathers is calling, a call you should definitely answer.

OMG! I love Philly cheesesteaks, and now that I have discovered this place, it has my heart! As pictured, I got my cheesesteak with provolone, but will never do this again...The real way to go is CHEESE WHIZ! I've heard it's the original way to eat a true Philly cheesesteak, but the idea grossed me out. Until, I tried my husband's order. Trust me, get the cheese whiz. The fries are delectable and so is their fry sauce! An added perk is if you order your cheesesteak with fries, they give you a fountain drink. The employees were friendly as well. If you are a cheesesteak lover like me, you have to try Forefathers!!

Overall rating: 4.5/5 Wait: 4.5/5 Arrival time: Saturday 7:30pm Food: 4.5/5 Order: Chicken cheese steak w/ fry sauce, mozzarella, jalapeno peppers, and onions Service: n/a Price: 4/5 Worth it, would come back I ordered the Chicken Cheese Steak with mozzarella, jalapeno peppers, and onions, and it was delicious. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the combination of melted mozzarella, jalapeno peppers, and onions added a nice kick to the sandwich. The portion size was generous, and the ingredients were fresh. The pricing at Forefathers Cheese Steak was reasonable considering the quality and portion size of the food. While it may not be the cheapest option in town, the taste and experience made it worth the price. Overall, I had a positive experience at Forefathers Cheese Steak Chandler. The wait time was minimal, the food was delicious, and the prices were fair. I would definitely consider coming back in the future to try their other offerings. If you're a fan of cheese steaks with a twist, this is definitely a place worth visiting.

I want to start this by saying I am not the biggest fan of Philly cheese steaks, but was willing to try. I ordered for pick up from their website. It was very easy to use and clearly broke down my order to check before paying. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and greeted me. It was about 12.45pm and there were not too many people inside. I was directed by the cashier to pick up my order at the end of the counter. I had ordered about an hour earlier than my pick-up time, and it seemed like they had just made it. I ordered the regular sized Philly cheese with steak and then added provolone, mushrooms, green peppers, grilled onion, and a drizzle of cheese whiz. I am not sure exactly what the cheese whiz was, but my friend recommended it. The taste was overall pretty good! It was hot when I picked it up, and the ingredients seemed fresh. I understand that prices for everything have gone up, but I still felt hungry after eating the regular sized sandwich. I wish it was a little larger for the $13 price. I was debating between the mini and regular sizes when ordering. The mini size would definitely be for a snack to hold you over between meals. I would recommend Forefathers to anyone who likes Philly cheese steaks. They offer friendly and quick service that can be convenient to those working nearby.

I've been craving a cheesesteak sandwich for a while and Forefathers is right down the road from my work. Perfect. My co-worker loves this place, so I thought I'd give it a shot. I placed my order online and it was a pretty straight forward process. I ordered a regular size cheesesteak with my favorite vegetables, extra meat and a side of fries. After checking out, the website stated that I could pick up my order at 12pm. I arrived 5 minutes early and they were frying up some fresh fries for my order while I filled my drink. The place was clean and moderately busy for lunchtime rush. I was out the door with my order at 12PM on the dot. Nice! I have to say that I was a little disappointed with the cheesesteak. I ordered it with Jalapeno Cilantro Ranch. I knew they added it because it completely saturated the paper they wrapped the cheesesteak in. Once I removed the paper, it didn't look like any of that Jalapeno Cilantro Ranch made it into the cheesesteak at all. I certainly didn't taste it. Oh well... The bread was very soggy and not much fun to hold and eat. The cheesesteak was hot and tasted decent in spite of not having any of the sauce in it. Now, for the fries... This is totally a personal preference, but if you are like me and hate battered fries with a passion, you'll want to skip the fries at Forefathers. More often than not, if a place has, what I consider to be bad fries, I'll more than likely not return unless the main items they sell are stellar and worth purchasing solo. Unfortunately, I really can't say that with this experience. So, it's a toss up as to whether I'll go back.

We drove all the way from Apache Junction. Let me preface it with the fact that Phillys aren't my favorite but my husband had a hankering! It was delicious. You were able to out as much "stuff" on as you wanted. Good enough my hubby bought one for tomorrow!

What an amazing place! I've eaten at the one on Priest and I've been in love with their cheesesteaks ever since they opened and I decided to try this location because I happened to be close and I was not disappointed at all. Anybody who wants a good meal needs to stop and give these guys a chance. Absolutely amazing on every level.

Good but not $11.00 good. Overpriced cheesesteaks. The chicken strips are reasonably priced, however. Unfortunate.

Decided…read moreto pull out my phone. and instead of using Yelp, I actually just punched cheesesteak into Waze, and what do you know?! I ended up finding the cheesesteak joint. This is actually a food truck, which is parked on the side of the Tipsy Catcus, which is a really cool brewery I also checked out while I was waiting for my order. I ordered the original cheesesteak with the white cheese and whiz cheese combo (I tried to order my usual provolone, but they don't offer provolone as one of the cheese choices) and the fried mushrooms. I was the only person who pulled up around six P.M. and because this was on a Wednesday night, not a Friday night, hence the low traffic. But service was really good. The young lady who helped me out was prompt, explained everything and gave me a pager, which allowed me to go inside the brewery while I waited. One thing to note, while I was talking to the owner of the tipsy cactus, he told me that Friday night and Saturday nights are usually popping. So I wouldn't expect to be first in line on any of those nights. It also looks like they rotate food trucks on different nights, so don't assume that the cheesesteak truck is going to be here every night. I would check the tipsy cactus website, or Instagram page to be sure. It took about 15 minutes for them to complete my order and when I got it home and I dug in. I was really satisfied as the food was super good. Cheesesteak was on point with the prime rib being top quality, and the fried mushrooms were well done, juicy, with a really good homemade sauce that they packed in with my order. I almost forgot about the churro I ordered. And I forgot about it because I accidentally left it in the bag in the car and didn't eat it until the next day. It didn't matter. A short blast in the microwave and this thing was killa. I'll definitely be looking forward to checking this place out again in the future.

I finally stopped into The Original Hoagie Shop, and honestly? I think my standards for lunch have been permanently raised. If you're hunting for that "perfect" sandwich experience, this is the spot. Here is why it's firmly in my top tier: * The Bread: Perfectly crusty on the outside and soft enough on the inside that it doesn't disintegrate under the weight of the fillings. * The Ratio: They've mastered the art of meat-to-veggie-to-sauce distribution. No soggy mess here, just pure, balanced greatness. * The Quality: You can tell they aren't skimping on the deli cuts. Everything tasted fresh and high-quality. The Bottom Line It's rare to find a place that hits the spot this hard. Whether you're a local or just passing through, do yourself a favor and get a hoagie here. I'm already planning my next trip back to try the rest of the menu.
