FDI has worked on both my F80 M3 and currently my F82 M4, and has always gone above and beyond. Terrance installed downpipes on both and handled chargepipes on my M4. Everything from performance to aesthetics, I choose FDI. Even regular maintenance, the team at FDI always gets the best for my cars.

I did tell him I was stuck between 55% windshield and 15% all around or go with 35% windshield and 5% all around. I came back to check the car out after it was finished, I am very happy with the 55% windshield and 15% all around as that is already dark enough for privacy. For someone like me that drive a lot and drive at night time a lot - I will consider this a gray area for driving at night time. If I went with 35% windshield and 5% all around - I don't think i'd be as happy lol. That would be too dangerous at night time driving. I also got the head lights PPF (light smoke). Day one, due to moisture was scary to drive at night time. After day one was over, it looked phenomenal from the inside out... I was debating on changing the PPF head lights out for clear on day one, now that I am used to it and the moisture disappeared, I can see just fine at day and night. Only thing I can say about the cons, I noticed a little bit of glue left over on the side window. Besides that, they did a very good job and Leo don't mess around about his business, he is serious about getting the job done right.

I've taken in my cars for minor things to larger maintenance matters and inspections. Oil changes and transmission servicing are quick and simple. Never a hassle, they will give you the service you asked for and will advise you of any issues that they observe, but will not force you to receive servicing for other issues. I've brought in my Corolla for heavy work such as replacing motor mounts, renewing the brake components, repairing axles and control arm issues. They absolutely make sure your vehicle runs smooth and will not turn break apart like Lego pieces. *Even better since I was able to purchase my own parts and get servicing completed within the same day. When I used to bring in my MR2, they did all the necessary work when an issue came up. They taught me why something didn't work or made a funny noise, and troubleshooted the problems with ease. I'll always appreciate their dedication and consistency in their work ethic. Come to this shop if you don't know where else to go, cause all the cool cars do.

The photos show the lazy job I had received. I take full…read moreaccountability for not replying when I first said I would. However, I followed up a couple weeks later asking if a certain date worked. I even explained that I had been busy and said the only time I'd have to bring in the car would be the following week. I paid $450 for this wrap and an extra $100 for the wrap itself. When the first job was done poorly, I went back to the shop to address the issues and they said they would fix it. I texted on a Tuesday expecting a response, and I waited until Sunday to follow up again. Instead of Lisa taking accountability, she told me I "did not reach out," which is extremely unprofessional and untrue. I had apologized for being busy, and I did reach out; she just did not respond. When I reminded her the job was poorly done and how there had been no response, she took zero accountability and tried to use my words against me. Lisa ignored my response when I explained how the situation should have been handled and how she failed to reply in a professional manner. As the customer, I should not have to teach someone how to treat me correctly or how to run a shop professionally. I wasn't trying to start problems; I stated the truth about the situation, but she did not like that. I went back because I had already paid and just wanted the work corrected. I dropped my car off again on Monday around 11:30am. The shop texted me claiming the wrap "wouldn't adhere," which I knew was an excuse. I told them to proceed because the material was fine, and if they couldn't install it, that was their shop's error. The rest of my car's wrap was perfectly fine. To double-check, I contacted the previous shop, who confirmed this shop was making excuses, saying, "The wrap sticks just fine. It sticks on the rest of your car fine. They're talking nonsense." I knew they no longer wanted to service me, and I no longer wanted their service either. I paid a good amount of money for this treatment. I made sure the job would get done. The shop told me the job would be done by Wednesday late afternoon. This was the second time they confirmed a deadline and failed to meet it. I made it clear from the start that I have a busy schedule and cannot afford delays, yet they did not respect that. Removing and rewrapping a front bumper is a 1-2 day job, it is not like I was asking to wrap half the car. I set a boundary that if it was not ready by 5pm Wednesday, as they confirmed, I would request a refund. My whole car was wrapped, had parts added, brakes caliper color change, and badges blacked out in about a week. I took it to another shop before taking it here. (Dependable Guys in Santa Ana) I am not a professional, but I am not stupid. There were no photo updates either, I had to ask for them. When they finally sent a picture, the wrap looked freshly slapped on two days after I dropped the car off. The day I dropped it off, they said the wrap did not adhere. It looked like my car sat there for two days until I asked for the photo, or it took them two days to remove a month old wrap and throw on one big piece lol.. My car is a small sedan, a CLA, not a supercar or SUV. Her words were: "Ok we will remove all the wrap and give you your money back. Come and pick it up today." She added, "You are demanding the refund so come get it. We cannot accommodate the time frame for you. Thank you we will be gone by 5 so please make it in time so we can process the refund." However, Mark (the installer) had reached out to me and told me him and his co worker would come into work early to finish the job. This was the second time they broke their own deadline, and instead of taking accountability, she tried to flip it back on me. Lisa took everything personally when this situation should have been handled with professionalism. I never asked them to remove my wrap; I just wanted the job done properly. The installer Mark was professional, but Lisa was disrespectful, dismissive, and extremely immature in how she handled the situation. I told them to leave the wrap and keep the money. This was their mistake, which took up the free time I rarely have. Even after I explained my situation, reminded them of prior mistakes, and was patient with the delays, they still couldn't get the job done on time. I didn't want or need the money back; I needed my car back lol. It was clear they didn't take me seriously, and I was forced to escalate this further, which she didn't like either. This was waste of time and caused unnecessary stress. I was frustrated because I had to deal with unprofessional and immature behavior. All I got were excuses, missed deadlines, and poor communication. This business does not stand on its word or its service. Don't bring your car here. Many shops in OC offer far better service and professionalism. I recommend Dependable Guys in Santa Ana! It turns out the wrap sticks just fine and clearly they were making excuses... 3 weeks no issues.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that the engine was completely non-functional. The cams and cylinder heads were damaged, cylinder 4 and piston were destroyed, and there were chunks of metal in the oil pan. Despite the engine being sold as functional, it was evident that it was in a state of severe disrepair from the moment it left their hands. While I acknowledge that I should have torn down the engine the moment it was delivered, the fact remains that JDM Motor Import sold me a bad engine while assuring me it was functional before taking my money. This is at best a glaring lack of care for quality control, and at worst fraud. The company's refusal to acknowledge their responsibility in selling a defective product is appalling. They assured me of the engine's condition ahead of purchase, yet when confronted with undeniable proof of the pre-existing damage, they hid behind their expired warranty policy. This is not just poor customer service; it's a blatant disregard for honest business practices. I was willing to cover the cost of shipping the defective engine back and the shipping for a replacement, yet they refused to cooperate. This experience has been nothing short of frustrating, and their lack of accountability is disgraceful. If you're considering purchasing from this company, I strongly advise you to reconsider. Their products are unreliable, and their customer service is nonexistent. Save yourself the headache and take your business elsewhere. www.Amayama.com sells brand new blocks, and while somewhat more expensive you will have peace of mind you won't be buying a wrecked engine. Stay far away from this place, and tell your friends to do the same.
