In my opinion, the person was indeed quite a jerk as other people have mentioned. He began to yell at me on the phone when we had an agreement then he went back on his agreement. This is the problem, when you look at google, its actually a different company with the 4.6 rating and I went to this company based on google when I should have gone to yelp. I called the company to make sure they could do the work. They said yes. They then came over and didn't respond. Finally a month later they said I'll look for the part, then said they couldn't find it. They sent me pic of the model with the model number and said, they don't know the model number. The accepted they should refund the diagnostic because they couldn't fix it then the took the offer back and proceeded to yell at me. Heed the warning of the many others that have been duped or wronged. Don't be a sucker like the rest of us who mistaken their company name on a google for the aliases that actually have the bad reviews. Update: I ended up going with another repair company and they looked at the same model number sticker, pulled up the information and bam ordered the parts. They looked at the same sticker in the hood that Foremost Repair /My Appliance Tech did and had all the metadata including the year it was made. This was what Foremost Repair/My Appliance Tech was yelling at me that the sticker wasn't the model number even though it said "MODEL NUMBER" and its not his fault he can't fix it. Absolutely horrible person. We called requesting a quote and explanation then he said he scheduled us for a certain day and was abrupt and said he would show up tomorrow. We called back saying we want to cancel and he gave us the run around raising his voice violently talking to us. Then he had the nerve to call again the next day and he was outside our house! Ordinarily, I don't leave harsh reviews for poor service. It's not worth it to me. But Foremost Repairs is a special case. Everything about Foremost Repairs makes sense when you realize that their business model is built around squeezing you for the $70.00 service fee. Providing effective service? Not so much. I sought this firm to repair my leaky dishwasher. One week, two visits, and $250+ later, I got a dishwasher that leaked like Niagara Falls three minutes after the tech left. My dishwater went from "leaky" to "totally inoperable." Did I get any acknowledgement that the tech's diagnosis was wrong? That my dishwasher was totaled? That my time was wasted? No. When I sought a full refund, what I got three days later was "Tony" providing an avalanche of excuses, alibis, rationalizations, and justifications for why he was keeping the $70 service fee, even though his firm made my situation worse and not better, and even though I squandered ten days with Foremost that I could have used to order a new dishwasher before the holidays. The best part was when Tony grudgingly offered to charge me a mere $60 for the service call, not $70. Guess what service call fee is advertised on the website, as of 12/22/21? If you said "$59.95," you win the prize. (You can keep the nickel, Tony.) He also offered me a free repair call for "next time." Are you surprised to learn that there's a coupon for a free repair call on the website? But no worries - there won't be a next time. I don't mind paying for service calls when the tech gets it right. If the tech had told me on the first visit that my dishwasher was deader than disco, I'd've paid him the fee, and that would be that. But when you say you can fix my dishwasher, you assure me that it's fixed as you leave, and five minutes later I need to call Aquaman to turn the dang thing off - yeah, I have a problem with paying $60 for that. If you're masochistic enough to use Foremost Repairs, try to pay with credit card and not check - it makes it easier to fight the charges later. Or better still, take $70 out of your purse or billfold and set it on fire. Either way, you'll be out $70 (or maybe $60 if Tony is feeling charitable) and your appliance won't be repaired, but hey - you'll have a pretty fire! read more

Stay Away!! Stay Away!! Stay Away!! Found this "company" on a web search for appliance repairs for my LG washer. Sounded legit and said they were certified for appliance repairs. "Tony" came out, spent 10 minutes and said we needed a new control board. How much? He had to check. The next day he quoted $380. We told him that was beyond our limit of fix versus buy new one. He immediately dropped his price to $300, with the part available in 2-3 days. A WEEK later, nothing. Called Tony several times, kept responding the part is not in. Then I asked for the tracking number so I could see where the part is in transit and when they ordered it. Would not provide the information. The next day they called and said part arrived, so we scheduled the replacement. Tony and another fellow arrived, installed the new $300 part, and ........nothing. Did not work. They miss-diagnosed the problem. These two guys then started poking around, broke a door switch, looked completely confused, and finally admitted they did not know what the problem is, but suggested they order a new main power control panel (expensive). Clearly, they were simply ordering parts and hoping something would work. They left saying they would order the part and let me know. Its been seven days and we have heard nothing. These guys are a fraud. Stay Away! I would give "zero" rating if I could. One last thing, the only positive review to date here on Yelp is by "Tony S.", who has a grand total of one Yelp review.........sounds suspiciously like a homer review. read more

Had a 11-2 appt today. The tech called at 2:45 to tell me he was having trouble with the truck and couldn't make it til around 5 or 6. No problem things happen. I agreed. So 6:50. Still No tech. I call him. He says I'm on my way. The worst service I've ever had. And still didn't get my dryer serviced. I would definitely not recommend using this company. read more

Our washing machine conked out on Friday night, which is kind of a bummer. I used good ol' Google Maps to find a close-by repair service and Foremost came up on the top of the list. Called in the morning, technician said he'd be in between 11 and 1 and was here by noon. Quick diagnosis, quick fix, and a VERY reasonable price for weekend service. I was charged a $50 service charge and told that a new door was required to restore the self-cleaning capacity on my BOSC oven. I would have needed to special order a NEW customized door from the manufacturer. I called another repair organization who came immediately and fixed the door in less than a half hour, also cleaned my burners and checked the heat function in the oven. I have tried to reach the company to request my $50 service charge money back but I have not even gotten the courtesy of a replay. The one light on my Gagganau Hood vent finally stop coming on. Last time it happened it was a ballast. I went to ApplianceAppointment.com and choose Mclean Service Repair. I explained to the person who answered the phone the probable problen so they would be prepared. He was abrupt and dismissive. We set an appointment time that didnt seem to matter. The serviceman called early and said he was already running late. We agreed on a later time that same afternoon. He was nearly two hours late for that one. He arrived with a snarky attitude with no apology for missing two appointments. He took the hood apart, claimed the ballast was fine but no power was coming to the ballast. He would have to order a part. When asked which part he was vague. (there really are no more parts before a light ballast) When asked what he expected this to cost he said between two and three hundred dollars. it would take a day or two to get us an exact quote and asked for fifty dollars service call fee. We produced the coupon from their web post stating no service fee with the repair. He demanded it upfront and said there would be no further charges the second time out. His invoice only states we need a new lightbulb holder which he didnt even repair. Of course he never called back with the part. We called our electrician friend to see if he might repair it. Well it was the ballast after all. He was able to get us an American part that was comperable to the French made ones. The cost for everything was $160.00. Here's more breakdown. For this review I traced back the history of my contacts. I had a similar experience. I called for the repair of my Maytag washer. They represented that they were a certified Maytag repair service they are not. They diagnosed the problem said would cost too much to get it fixed . I should buy a new washer.He took the $50 service fee that would have been applied to the repair. The guy spent about 5 minutes diagnosing the problem. I checked with Maytag they are not an authorized repair service, the machine is repairable for $129.00 because the part was under warranty. I called and asked for a refund and they refused. I will not use them again and I have filed a complaint with the BBB I would rate them as terrible and less than I star. read more

I had the same experience as others on this site. Foremost Repairs Inc indicated they had expertise in repairing Miele dishwashers. When the repairman (Tony) came to my home he indicated that he was not experienced with the brand but he was certain they could repair something as simple as a new spring. He charged me for the service call and never called back. I contacted the company many times over a six-week period and was told the part had not yet arrived. In the sixth week I was told that it was not possible to obtain a part. No follow-up was initiated by the company and the dishwasher is still not repaired. He first misdiagnosed the Freezer issue blaming it on Freon and cleanliness of the condenser. I asked for a repair estimate repeatedly and he refused to provide it to me saying that he has to see what the problem is. He then provided an outrageous estimate after he took the freezer apart leaving me no choice but to pay him to repair it. It turned out to be a fan sensor issue not Freon or cleanliness of the system. It was my fault not to throw him out and have somebody else repair it. He was unprofessional, dishonest, extremely rude and obnoxious person. He charged me three times others. Have filled complaint with state of Maryland contractors. I has two service calls back to back in same building. The morning of the scheduled appointment I get an email (not a phone call, but an email) stating they cancelled the appointments because I was asking for more information than the customer rep was able to give me. All I wanted to know was if it could be repaired for should I contact a plummer instead. There were no technicians able to take my call. Because I asked more quesitons than they could answer, they found my phone call unacceptable. Go Figure! They were rude, exaggerated the conversation and lied that the manager was not available. This provider was called for a repair of an under-counter refrigerator. I explained what the problem with the unit was to the technician upon his arrival. The technician did not perform any assessments--he simply took the model and serial number for the unit and listened to my description. The technician stated the unit would need a replacement control panel. There was a $70 service charge that was to be applied to the bill when the parts came in. I called the company several times over a 10 day period to find out about the parts. I had difficulty getting the company to return my calls then the company stated they were not able to get parts, that Viking no longer made them for this unit (The unit was one year old). I called Viking Parts directly and the parts were available and could ship in 10-14 days. I asked Foremost Repairs for a refund of the $70 since no service was provided. I am extremely dissatisfied with being lied to, denied a refund for non-service, and the hostile attitude of this company. read more
