Then, the coach explained the rules and provided demos of how to throw with one hand and both hands behind and over the head. He was very friendly and provided tips and tricks throughout our session to improve our aim. Despite using a hatchet, which is meant for one hand, I thought it was too heavy so I had to use both hands. If you have enough arm strength, one hand is better because you can line up the axe with the target, which helps improve your aim. It was definitely harder than it looked and felt like a full body workout! The axe handles and targets looked a little run down. Um... long story short, you quickly find out how much pent up anger/energy you have when you get to swinging. A couple of downsides-- while there were three of us, only two of us took our rage out. There aren't that many items, so we found that the 20 minute time limit was more than enough. We (as in the two of us) pretty much destroyed everything to pieces in 10 minutes. If you decide that you want to go with a bigger group, definitely upgrade and purchase more items to smash. Also, we came at peak 100 degree weather and this place is not air conditioned. By the end of this, we were covered in sweat, especially because the safety hats and gloves are required in the rage rooms as well. So I'd make note of that before your visit.
