Tuna Poke Bowl
Shelly F.

First time here and it did not disappoint! My friend and I came here to celebrate our birthdays. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked amazing! I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl and she ordered the Blackened Fish Tacos. Both were excellent. The server was very patient and attentive. I can't wait to try more menu options.

A rustic tucked away restaurant that had quick, friendly service and tremendous prices for excellent food. The portions were sizable, even for those who might have a bigger appetite. I've not seen so many layers of meat in a club sandwich in a long time. The waiter saw our needs before we asked for refills, to-go boxes and the ticket. A definite restaurant to come back to.

Went for Sunday Brunch. Arrived at 10:40 (they open at 11). There was a line waiting to get in the door. By 11:15, the place was completely packed. Erin was our server and she was slammed. She did her absolute best to service all the patrons she had. We ordered French toast, an omelette, and the breakfast sandwich. We also had cheese fritters for an appetizer. All of the food was tasty and fresh. It took a little bit to get our orders placed and to get food because they were slammed. But Erin kept checking on us and doing what she could. This place is really popular and you could tell by the line waiting to get in. We will be back.

Patty Melt - tasty

Been here a few times and like the atmosphere, the service and the food. They can accommodate a decent sized group for lunch without issue. I had the patty melt this time and really liked it. Previously, I had the shrimp basket and it was equally as good. This place is pretty easy and relaxed, so if you haven't been there before, please give them a try.

A bustling sports bar in Germantown. The menu is decent, and the food was good. The bar is the bar, though. Therefore, there are many more options when it comes to alcohol. I ordered the pike salad. It was fresh and filling. I also had a Stella Artois and a whiskey sour "Memphis Sour." The Memphis Sour was a very nice after dinner drink. There were several TVs around the dining area. All displaying a different sport. The TV in front of me was bowling while the TV to my side had UFC playing. It is a very casual place with slightly elevated noise levels but still quiet enough to speak with others at your table. Our server Michael was a pretty nice guy. He was quite busy, though. However, he was still able to take care of us with both a smile and friendliness. We had a good time eating here, and I would not mind coming back if I were in the area.

The Toasted Yolk gave us a little bit of everything--some hits, some misses, and one bartender who…read moremay have found a new calling. Avocado Toast Let's start with what should be one of the easiest breakfast items on any menu. Avocado toast doesn't need much--fresh avocado, a squeeze of lemon or lime, cracked pepper, sea salt, roasted tomatoes, cilantro, and a little love. Unfortunately, mine arrived with chunky raw onions, a few tomatoes, and not much else. The bright flavors that make avocado toast shine were missing. The sourdough bread, however, was perfectly toasted and had a great texture. Eggs Both dishes were ordered with eggs cooked over hard. Both arrived over easy. That's a simple request that should have been easy to execute. Salmon Benedict Presentation was nice, but the seasoning department apparently took the morning off. Salmon naturally has great flavor, but it still needs something. A squeeze of lemon, a touch of cracked pepper, sea salt, fresh herbs--anything. The salmon was bland, and the hash brown casserole followed the same theme. Breakfast Potatoes We ordered potatoes with grilled onions and received potatoes topped with the same chunky raw onions that appeared on the avocado toast. Not exactly what was expected. Now for the stars of the show... the drinks. The Mimosa was delicious, refreshing, and exactly what brunch should be. The Sidecar deserves special recognition. When the bartender admitted they had to Google how to make it, I became a little nervous. Turns out I had no reason to be. That Sidecar was fantastic and easily the best thing that hit our table all morning. Whoever made it absolutely knocked it out of the park. Final Verdict The Toasted Yolk has potential, but the kitchen needs to become friends with seasoning. The ingredients were there; the flavor was not. A few simple additions--lemon, pepper, salt, herbs, and attention to cooking eggs correctly--would have dramatically improved the experience. Will I return? Yes. The drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was pleasant, and there's enough on the menu to give it another chance. Next visit, I'll be ordering something different and hoping the kitchen brings a little more flavor to the table.

The days where restaurants were grateful to have you as patron & treated you that way to earn your continued patronage, seem to be part of the good ole days gone by. That is not the case with The Skybox Grill. I went once on a weekday & once on a hopping Friday night. Both times I left full & happy. If you're into that "Cheers" feeling, this is your place. The staff is so welcoming & kind. You feel good being there with the lively atmosphere & great people all around & the delicious food puts it a step above the rest. On the weekday lunch visit, I saw moms & kids, families, business men/women, folks at the bar glued to the game & those sitting by theirselves with their newspaper as their companion. All appeared to be welcome & content. The prices are comparable with others, but the quality & consistency of their food is much better. The portions are large enough to share or take home leftovers for another meal. The fresh made food is so yummy & getting fresh, quality food for the same as you'd spend at a fast food joint these days, makes it the perfect spot to have a great meal or grab to go that's a cut above the rest. Often, they host fundraising events in support of the local communities or have fun bands & always there is more than 15 tvs with all the sports going. Somehow, they're able to have everything in one, that works so completely cohesively. It's the perfect go to for brunch, lunch, dinner or a lively date night out. Wether you're the whole family full of kids, a lady lunching with friends, a guy grabbing a quick lunch, a couple on a date night or a whole group of friends meeting up for a night out, this place is perfect. Super safe and just minutes outside of Memphis, it's not only a gem for the Collierville folks, but easily accessible for the whole Memphis area. Perfect for taking out of town guest for a relaxed & casual dining experience too. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

I have watched it evolve, but not really, over the years. It's gotten better. I've been hitting up this place in Midtown and Snowden for years. This was my first time at this location. No frills, simple, to the point place. No need in any fancy ass lights, music, flair on the staff, overcomplicated menu items, or any other BS. There were only two ladies working here this day. I was impressed at their ability to pull off the shift as I sat and watched. The owner needs to increase the pay of these two. He has no idea how lucky he is to have them. They were awesome, I wish I knew their names. They sell a smashed type burger that is real meat, seasoned well, cooked wonderfully every time, with a side of fries that although are not fresh cut, they are pretty dang tasty. Battered fries is what I believe the term is. The coating helps them stay crisp and hot for longer. Nice invention really. Most toppings are free and it's actually very reasonable meal for today's food climate. They had a couple of specials this last time. The Cowboy and The Rajun Cajun. I had The Cowboy and it was fantastic!! Bacon, cheddar, onion rings. Yum! I will be back to try the Cajun Junt soon!! '25 - 68/111
