We had a great experience working with Dawn and the entire team at Forever Builders! We took on a pretty large renovation with them, including a complete kitchen remodel, two bathrooms, new flooring throughout the house, extending our living room, and officially permitting our converted garage to be used as a bedroom. With such a large project and so many moving parts, we were very happy with how smoothly everything came together. Dawn was truly one of the best parts of the experience. He was incredibly cordial, personable, and genuinely cared about our project and the outcome. He was constantly onsite checking in, making sure the work was being done correctly, and making sure everything was moving along as it should. He was always willing to talk through questions, concerns, or changes, and we never felt like we were bothering him. When facing what seemed to be an insurmountable amount of damage to my townhouse, I went online in search of a contractor, not knowing much about where to turn. From my very first interactions with Angela to the final walk through with Adam, I really have to say how unexpected my experience was. Everyone was so nice and helpful. We took our time to get 6 quotes for our roof replacement and new skylight installation. We were looking for a company that would install our chosen product Owens Corning Duration Cool, their estimate needed to be fair, and most importantly, their project manager needed to be easy to work with. After meeting with Alex from Forever Builders a few times (and screened his ratings on Yelp, oh yes we sure did), who seemed to meet all of the above checkpoints, we took a chance with him and Forever Builders. We recently hired Forever Builders to remodel a Guest Bathroom and Kitchen/Laundry Rm. This comes after having met with multiple other remodel contractors. They either didn't listen to what we wanted or just weren't a good fit. FB's sent Ben out to meet with us. He listened to our vision and offered some ideas we hadn't even considered. The estimate they offered, while not the cheapest, was reasonable. I'm not going to lie and say it was a perfect journey but what remodel ever is. However, when an issue came up they were here immediately to address it. Almost a complete renovation with new subfloors, cabinets, HVAC, upgraded 200 amp electrical service, garage door, interior and exterior paint. Alex had a very competitive bid that was inline with 2 other bids I had look at my roofing project in Mission Beach. I had a 4th bid as well from someone else at more than double the price. They all talked up basically the same way using the same product (top of the market) but Alex set his company apart with a much earlier completion date because they are well staffed. They were able to roof my newly constructed home in under 2 days time starting on his promised date. Mind you, I also have a very complex roof with many hip angles that my picture doesn't reveal. I will most likely keep using Alex on other projects as my home passes needed inspections first. As a owner home builder there are areas I'm learning that need real contractors. Roofing is definitely one of them because they do it day in and day out and it's basically top (never mind the pun) priority that it's done to perfection. We remodeled our entire master suite, bedroom, bathroom and closet. We got 5 quotes and ended up selecting Forever Builders, because their pricing was somewhere in the middle, and their quote had a high level of detail to prevent later surprises. The designers, Eden and Enam did a great job envisioning the space for us and helping us select options and materials. You have to keep an eye on the total cost since creative designs and materials tend to be expensive. Dean, our project manager, was very focused on making us happy. As with any construction, there were some bumps in the road, and you have to closely check along the way if you are getting what you want. The workmanship was overall good, with the tile crew being absolutely phenomenal. We only had one change order which was due to us changing plans, so you won't be nickeled and dimed to death later with Forever Builders. Alex and Forever Builders not only did a fantastic job on a full roof replacement for me but also went above and beyond to provide great service. During the torrential rains this year, our ceiling in the living room began leaking. Then, water started pouring through into our bedroom. I called Alex in a panic, and he immediately came out to put caulk around problem areas while we waited to schedule the roof replacement. The replacement ended up happening while I was traveling abroad with limited cell service. Alex handled everything from calling the solar company about whether to remove brackets to assisting with picking out shingle colors. We got video updates every step of the way. The roof looks great, Alex identified all the leaky areas, and I have full confidence that we're good to go on our roof for many years to come.
