We order from Forever Sushi a lot, almost always through DoorDash, and it's been consistently solid for us. This last order was no different. The takoyaki (pictured) were really good -- super tender, not rubbery, and the sauce was great. I've seen them on the menu a bunch of times and finally tried them, and I'd definitely get them again. We also ordered the BTS roll again. This is our second time getting it and it's officially one of our favorites now. Big pieces, lots of flavor, and it holds up well for delivery. Their fried rice portions are generous, which we appreciate, especially when ordering for the whole family. On this last order the tempura veggies that usually come with the fried rice were missing, but DoorDash took care of it quickly, so no real issue there. Overall this is just a really reliable sushi spot for us. Creative rolls, good portions, and everything travels well. The whole family -- including our kid -- likes it, and we'll keep ordering from Forever Sush

Food: the sushi is good! They do not have too many options but it's enough! Sometimes a really big menu can be overwhelming. They have a good portion of filling vs rice so it was nice to know that I didn't come to place to just pay to eat rice. It's conveyor sushi too so that was a pleasant surprise. I ordered their miso soup, it was delish! Service: we've come here twice already and will definitely be back for a 3rd! The service is fast and quick. Sometime the staff forgets to bring water and or whatever it is that we ordered but they are very quick to remedy that. Ambiance: it's a casual restaurant. You can come in and have a good talk with your friend or date.

This sushi spot is nestled amongst a variety of different restaurants and businesses in an older strip mall and is a pretty sizeable place with bar and booth seating. I stopped by for lunch today and was very pleased with their innovative rolls and afforable prices. I also appreciated that the staff were very attentive and proactive in following up with us and checking in on our needs. I felt very cared for! Tip: If you want to see their comprehensive menu, you can find it online; they only show a few options on the printed menu. If you enjoy eating lots of different textures at once, try the salmon skin roll! It's crispy, warm, and tastes best when its freshly fried so order it a la carte.

Solid conveyor belt sushi place, I was surprised by the Poke plate as it gave me a decent amount of fish. Been here a couple times in the past and place has generally stayed the same.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - Forever sushi is right since it stays on the belt forever. We didn't eat much since the items on the belt look dry and wilting. The "wasabi" was in a container at the table and slightly turning brown with no spiciness or kick. Started with the Shrimp Tempura and Spicy Krab Rolls which were average. Can't really taste the tempura but the textures were good. Octopus Nigiri was good with nice texture and chew. The rice was a bit drier so not sure if it's been sitting on the belt for a while Squid Salad was good but very inconsistent cuts! With tiny pieces that we could barely pick up to ones about the size of a nigiri. Very well marinated with some ginger to help cut through Ordered Salmon Belly through server. The nigiri was a bit odd since the rice and fish was a bit warm when we ate it. The rice was slightly off since it was a bit mushy. Golden Road ordered through the server was another shrimp tempura with mango sauce and some sort of chili sauce on it. Definitely on the sweeter side. Ambience: 4/5 - it feels like organized clutter with things everywhere and on the walls. The set up of the restaurant was a bit odd since the people making the sushi are in the middle but at such a height and with things around them that we can't see what they're actually making. No or really faint music. We did come at the end of the night so there was some trash on the floor. Service: 4/5 - lad was friendly and tried to help. Definitely can feel it's the end of the night since everyone is just trying to make it to the end of the shift and get out of there. Value for price: 3/5 to 1/5 because I'm upset and the pricing is all over the place! When we sat down, they said to let the server know if there's anything unavailable and he can place the order. The menu in front of us said that the Golden Road roll was part of the red/orange plate at $4.95. But we were charged $7.43 because the price is $14.85 with 50% discount since we got 4 pieces. The server said he doesn't know why, maybe it's 3 vs 4 pieces, but that's just the pricing in the system and he can't change it. Just realized we were charge more for the salmon belly as well! Here's a comparison of the prices between in store vs online: Shrimp tempura roll: $4.95 vs $4.47 Spicy krab roll: $6.45 vs $6.47 Octopus nigiri: same at $3.95 Squid salad: $4.45 vs $3.95 Salmon belly nigiri: $4.45 vs $4.95 Golden road: $4.95 vs $7.43 They charge you the online price if you order with the server, even if you're eating in the store. Also, he just showed the total amount on the device and asked us to pay. They don't give you an itemized receipt to show you what they're charging you unless you specially ask. Would recommend to just go to a different place since it'll be a surprise when the bill comes!

Ordered to go Wednesday evening. The takoyaki they gave me seemed like it's been on the conveyor belt for a long time. It was soaking on okonomi sauce and it was like eating a damp sponge. The Sashimi combo was ok but I don't think it's worth its $35+ price. The chicken terikayi was swimming in sauce to hide the dryness of the meat. Side of rice is $2/scoop. I think it's overpriced. It'll be the first and last time I'll be going to this sushi place. So sad.. read more

This place is absolutely amazing!! If you like fresh sushi that you can get on the conveyor belt this is the place for you. Now they do have menu options as well and everything is pretty much price by the color plate that you choose so each color probably has a different price and all you have to do is grab any each. The customer service was absolutely amazing and very welcoming from the moment that we entered to the moment that we sat down. Highly recommended 10 stars if I could, just know that if you haven't came then you need to come and try it out at least one time. They also have vegan options as well so either way it's a 10 out of 10 very family friendly , date friendly, or even just a time out with friends or even yourself and definitely worth a try. read more

Good customer service, they have booths next to the conveyor belt with your option of grabbing your choice of sushi. I was kind of bummed when I tried the uni but did not like it. Thought it would be salty but it was super bland. They charge you by the colors of the plates. Sushi chefs out front preparing the sushi. read more

It's really a hit or miss with this place. Sometimes the fish tastes so fresh but other times not so much. The service is also kind of hit or miss which is unfortunate. Sometimes the person you get will let you pick the type of fish you want for the sashimi but other times if you get a particular gentleman he's really rude and insists that no one ever allows you to pick so yea, proceed with caution lol read more

A fun, refreshing, very satisfying establishment. Sushi was fresh and hot items were delicious. The kalbi ribs were amazing as well! This place has done very well executing this style restaurant. Haven't seen one so efficiently run since Japan and hawaii. Things that we wanted that were not rotating, were made up right away and delicious!! read more

This restaurant was not a true conveyor belt sushi restaurant, as the only things on the conveyor belt were the menu item cards. Maybe it has to do with Covid? Aside from that, most of the sushi we had tasted noticeably fishy. They also masked most of their sushi with spicy mayo, which is a tell/tale sign of not-so-good sushi. A disappointing experience. The customer service WAS good, which is unfortunate since the food wasn't. read more

Sushi is really good here. But the service I gotta give a no. I know it's a sushi belt but most times what you want isn't on the belt. So we would have to order through the waiter. And most of the time they're either on their phones or no where to be seen. But over all it's a really good place. Probably one of my only favorite sushi spots here in WA. read more

Forever Sushi has great sushi and almost always has great service! Sometimes it's a little slow which is why I took off the one star but everything is always great. Do beware though sometimes they don't have all the rolls available especially when it's busy. I love how the pricing works although it can be expensive if your not paying attention to the plates so be careful! Overall I would totally recommend for a good wide variety place in Puyallup! :) read more

3rd time getting sushi from here and it's unbelievably good, no matter the fish. The only minor dock is the yakisoba. Wasn't all that great and only got a few pieces of beef. Need to balance all that noodle with meat or don't charge 14 dollars for it, yknow? read more

Awful experience! The only thing true to its name, is it takes forever! We ordered edamame and 6 rolls. We waited an hour and 15 min to get the edamame and only received 3 rolls before we got tired of waiting and asked for the check. Servers were rude, did not get drink order right and basically slammed them on the table. Will never go back! read more

I have been to this place twice and it has been pleasant. There is never a wait, except for waiting for the sushi you want to come back around (but thats the point right?!) They have a grear selection of fresh sushi, fried sushi, desserts, sweets, spicy rolls, non-spicy rolls, among some other à la carte items. The staff is super friendly and always makes one feel welcome. The restaurant itself is clean, low light and has a t.v. or two showing sports. The only down side is that restroom which is far and through a long hallway. There is plenty of parking outside. read more

Owners son is really rude and difficult to deal with. The food is really good and I was a regular at least once a week. But I cannot stand to go there anymore for his rudeness. I ordered a crunch roll no sauce and it's slathered in it. I asked him to remove it and he very rudely said I would have to wait another 30 minutes to get it remade (fine) but he was just so obviously angry yet again I just took it and decided to leave my review here. Came to enjoy a quick bite of sushi. Since my friend and I stopped by when they first opened everything placed on the conveyer belt was pretty fresh. We did order some items off the menu and it didn't take long at all. We were checked on often and drinks were always topped off. read more

Saw it multiple times while driving in South Hill area and wanted to give it a try. Honestly, for the prices you pay for each plate, it's really not worth it. I get it, this is Puyallup and there really isn't much quality Asian options, but I'd rather drive elsewhere for sushi. It wasn't junk per se, but it lacked a lot of flavor and quality. read more

Yeah this place wasn't good. I went there years a go in 2016 and it was reasonably priced and I thought it was great sushi. Coming back in 2021 and seeing how expensive it is and the warm sushi rolls sitting out really turned me off. It was expensive and the rolls had been sitting out for awhile. There weren't many people there for a Saturday evening I can see why after going there. It just isn't what I remember from 2016 and I guess I didn't get the memo. read more

I have yet to dine in, I always order To-go. It's the same younger gentleman who cashes me out, he is always nice. I get the deluxe California roll and I go a few times a month because it's just that good! There's plenty of sushi spots near me but I travel 20+ more mins because I have yet to find any other sushi restaurant compare (trust me, I've tried!) 10+ stars!! read more

Sushi is pretty good. We are vegetarian and there are many good options for us. Some can be overly sauced, but mostly top-notch. Good warm sake. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is nice and so is the decor. The bathroom is a shared one for the building and you have to walk through this long twisting hallway that looks like something out of the grudge before you reach it. Back before covid, you could pick the food up from the conveyer belt and that was fun. Generally a good place. read more

Cool concept, a revolving belt of sushi. It was nice to be seated so quickly, and be able to serve yourself. I do wish there was more options on the belt though, there's definitely room. The staff was nice and gave us space to enjoy our food. Gonna make this our new sushi spot for a while :) read more

Even if you order less than 15 items, you still wait the 15 minutes before placing another round. It sounds a little confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's pretty simple! One of the cutest parts of the experience was having our food delivered by a little robot server with a cat face. Just make sure to grab the food from the section glowing blue so you don't accidentally take another table's order. Super fun and honestly memorable! By the time we were getting full, my family joked that the cat face looked menacing, because we were hoping no more food would be brought to our table lol. The orders don't all arrive at the same time and some can be delayed, so I'd suggest somewhat trying to keep track of your orders if you don't want to go overboard. The sashimi was delicious and the portions are HUGE, so definitely pace yourself because they do charge for leftovers. My son got a little too excited and overordered, so we ended up paying the leftover fee. However, I was genuinely impressed that Sumo Sushi actually allows you to take leftovers home, even with the fee included. I mean, you'll have to pay the fee either way, but I've never been to an AYCE sushi restaurant that allowed leftovers as takeout before. I really respect how serious they are about reducing food waste. They also have a small buffet section you can grab already prepared/cooked food from while waiting for your sushi orders. My absolute favorites were the miso soup, seafood boil(?), and the tempura fish that lives rent free in my head (I should have asked if I could order that fish for takeout!). They also had other hot foods, meats, and seafood options that were tasty. The dessert section was more basic (flan, jello, fortune cookies, etc.), so I skipped dessert this time (besides the fortune cookies hehe). The service, in general, was fantastic. While we were dining, a child nearby celebrated a birthday with their family and the staff went ALL OUT singing happy birthday with light-up decorations and so much energy. It was adorable and way more effort than most restaurants put in. My only small critique is that the "French Fries" listed on the menu are actually sweet potato fries. They tasted good, and I normally like sweet potatoes, but it definitely caught us off guard because it wasn't what we expected. When we left, the staff kindly said goodbye to us, including an older gentleman near the door who consistently seemed focused on customer service and even asked if we wanted condiments packed with our leftovers. They do have a large TV playing sports but no music and the TV was rather quiet. The space is nice but it just felt very dark but we sat next to a window so I could take nice pictures. This place is a mixed bag for me. I like that there's no wait for a table, that the service is friendly, and that there's a lot of variety. On the other hand, it's definitely not the best quality in freshness/taste, and it's sort of overpriced for what it is. There are definitely better options, but if you want a fun kaiten experience to go with kids or less "adventurous" sushi eaters, this isn't a bad bet. Most of what you'll find on the belt is the "guy fiere" style sushi that comes with a lot of sauce, tempura, and/or cream cheese. But hey, if it's popular that's cool by me. You'll also find more traditional offerings like sashimi and ngiri, but you'll find far better taste and quality at Sushi Ari, just a few blocks down. Trust me, those few blocks are worth it. That being said, I do come here occasionally with my brother, who loves the kaiten experience. One thing to point out is that it shares a bathroom with other businesses, and you have to navigate it through a labyrinth of industrial hallways, which is inconvenient if you're dining with the elderly, disabled, or kids. read more

Ive been to many sushi restaurants but i would have to say this by far is the best sushi restaurant i have ever been to. I have worked in the customer service industry for about 6 years now and that is the one thing i specifically look for anywhere i go. Ive got to say i was blown away. They made my friends and i feel like we were family to them. one day i was talking to the guys about music i used to listen to when i was a kid and sure enough like clock work he went over to the sound system and put on the cuts. there generosity was like no other. Ive been here 3 times and it seemed like every visit just got better better. I ate here a few times trying to like it, but every time found it sort of weirdly tasteless. I looked online at their food inspector results (available online for all restaurants at Tacoma-Pierce Health Dept website) and no wonder! They have violations-significant ones- literally every time an inspector comes out. We're talking failure to hold fish at appropriate temps, inadequate hand washing facilities, etc. I'm not trying to be a snob, but there's a point where when you've failed numerous inspections, you clearly know there's an issue. read more

It was hard to taste any of the fish under all the sauces and crunch toppings etc, in my opinion. Sashimi and Nigiri were just ok. Great value for your money! I picked up some sushi for lunch today. We ordered 2 Forever Sushi Set which is 16 sushi per order. It's Chef's choice so there maybe some type of sushi you may not prefer but for $40 it was lot of food and well worth it! It was plenty for my wife and I and honestly could've just ordered one Forever Special and then order couple of rolls. Would love to try this in the restaurant next time! read more

And the pricing could use a little work- even really simple "scoop and serve" things like seaweed salad and calamari salad are overpriced, as is sashimi. I stop by this place from time to time, and the sushi is always fresh. Sushi at conveyor-belt restaurants is usually not very fresh, but this place is an exception.
