After calling around to multiple suspension places trying to figure out who can rebuild my fox shocks I emailed forged off-road drove down from Sacramento and they gave me a quote and had me in the next week to rebuild all the shocks on my truck I am very pleased with how fast and the quality of the service. I also want to thank the guys for recommending I replace my bump stops. The experience was great I definitely Will be back when they need to rebuilt again. Thank you for the service and attention to detail. Happy holidays.

My 2012 Raptor had 205,000 miles on the original shocks and the ride was unpleasant to say the least .

If you're looking for someone who genuinely cares about motorcycles and the people who ride them,…read morelook no further than Shepley's V-Twin in Rocklin. Brian Shepley is one of those rare business owners who truly loves what he does, and it shows in every aspect of his work. Over the years, Brian has consistently taken exceptional care of my motorcycles. Whether it's routine maintenance, repairs, or diagnosing an issue, I know my bike is in the hands of someone who treats it like his own. The quality of his workmanship is second to none, his attention to detail is outstanding, and he always takes the time to make sure everything is done right. What really sets Brian apart is his honesty, integrity, and fair pricing. In a world where it's hard to find people you can trust, Brian has earned my complete confidence. He delivers top-notch work at prices that are more than reasonable, and he always goes above and beyond for his customers. It's clear that this isn't just a job for Brian--it's a passion. If you're local and need work done on your bike, I cannot recommend Shepley's V-Twin highly enough. Outstanding service, exceptional craftsmanship, fair prices, and a genuine commitment to his customers. That's a combination that's hard to find these days. Thank you, Brian, for always taking such great care of my bikes. You've earned a customer for life.

Great mechanical work, but ask for explicit quotes on any custom installs…read more I've brought my Sportster to Shepleys in the past and they've always done good work--and to be fair, the tire install on this visit was done right and without any issues. However, I'm writing this review to advise other riders to be extremely clear about communication before leaving your bike for extra work. I brought in a set of Motohorn Dual Track horns for them to mount while it was in the shop. Instead of calling to give me an update or confirm pricing, they proceeded with a "custom modification" that added over $300 in labor to the final bill. The modification turned out to be a simple 12-inch metal bar with three holes drilled into it to create a bracket. As someone who works around metal fabrication daily, paying 3+ hours of shop labor for a basic piece of drilled scrap flat stock--without receiving a single phone call or heads-up first--was a huge disappointment. Had they called, I could have easily had a bracket made at work for free or figured out an alternative solution. Shepleys is a solid V-twin shop, but the lack of communication on unexpected custom labor cost me hundreds of dollars. If you're bringing in aftermarket parts or non-standard jobs, make sure to explicitly demand a call for approval before they perform any custom work.

I saw it on Amazon, but I try to buy local instead of through Amazon when I can, and on the product website it said that it was also sold at Napa stores, so I called this store, the Napa Auto Parts store on Palm Avenue in Auburn. It was a Sunday, which may have factored in to what happened. The gentleman on the phone said that he didn't have it and that no other nearby store did either, so I either asked him if he could order it (or he offered, I forget which), and said that it "should" be in the next day (Monday) and that he would call me when it arrived. I offered to pay with a credit card but he said they don't take credit cards over the phone and that I could pay when I picked it up. It's $100 a bottle, which may also have factored into what happened. They didn't call on Monday, so today (Tuesday) I went in to see if it had showed up. I asked the fellow behind the counter (who wasn't the person who took the phone order) if it had come in, and he said that it wasn't available but that he could order it. It took several back and forth exchanges to establish that it was never ordered, but that he could order it. It went something like this: Me: "I had someone here special-order an item two days ago, I'd like to see if it's here. It's a bottle of Steel Seal, it's used for...(explanation)" Him: "We don't have any in stock, and none of the stores around here do either, but I can order it and have it here today." Me: "I already ordered it, it was supposed to get here yesterday, can you see if it's here? Like in the back or something?" Him: "We don't stock that item, but I can order it" Me: "I already ordered it, it was supposed to be here yesterday" Him: "I just checked stock, we don't have it, do you want me to order it?" He seemed a little annoyed and didn't seem to care that this had happened and didn't offer an apology or an explanation, although he didn't really owe me any of that. But if I was working there I would have said "listen, I'm really sorry, there was a mix up and the item wasn't ordered, but we can order it today and have it (whenever) if that works." But to be fair, who am I to judge? If I knew anything about working in an auto parts store, I'd be behind the counter myself! So next time I need something I'll probably just order it on Amazon.
