My boyfriend and I dined at fork and barrel just about a week ago. The interior had a nice rustic farmhouse look to it with a variety of touches such as barrels on display. For an appetizer, we chose the Florida Sweet Corn Bread. It was moist and the honey butter was mouthwatering. The Southern Blackened Redfish was my choice for an entrée. The fish was cooked to perfection and the sides paired well. My boyfriend selected the Salmon Oscar and enjoyed it as well. In addition, the service was good as expected. Both the meal and appetizer came out fast. Our waiter, Reynaldo, was kind. Overall, we rate the experience a 9/10. Just shy from being a perfect 10/10. Can't wait to come back soon!

The restaurant was not busy on a Saturday afternoon except for a few bar customers. The restaurant is clean and tidy. Our server was friendly and helpful. Their menu offers a great selection of sandwiches, salads, and main courses- steak and seafood selections. Their food is well priced. For starters I ordered the Lobster Bisque, and it was tasty. The bisque was too thick, and the cream gave it an appearance of slight separation indicating they added it while the soup was too hot and very thick; not much lobster to speak of, good tasting soup overall. My husband ordered the cornbread which comes with butter- it was nice, 3 mini loaves of well baked, with a crispy crust and a layer of sugar cornbread goodness. I like cornbread to be a bit sweeter but I was delighted with this version. My husband tried the French Dip au Jus with truffle fries. He gave it a thumbs up; really loved it. I stole a few fries and they were amazing! We both loved the flavor, the crispiness and doneness were on point. The Caesar salad ingredients tasted freshly cut and prepared. The croutons were not homemade but were fresh. It had both grated and shavings of parmesan cheese and the grilled chicken was perfectly cooked. The Caesar dressing was not my fave. It was sort of an emulsified Parmesan vinaigrette- on the very acidic- not enough traditional flavor side, which really surprised me because I expected a great version, but not this time, in my opinion the dressing was a no for me. They offer a bar area, booths, self standing tables and additional seating, maybe suitable for private events. Their decoration is Americana rustic farmhouse concept. Nice 80's, 90's + music playing in the background. We will be back soon!

Ok, third time since its re opening as fork and barrel. I was with a large group. They had gotten the back room. The music was too loud and we couldn't hear the speaker. Although they had said before they could turn down the music, apparently there is only one music volume for the whole restaurant and so they denied our request to turn it down. The food was ok but nothing to write home about. I got the redfish sandwich. She asked if fries are ok and when I asked to swap it for a salad she said yes but never told me there is a $4 upcharge. That's rude.

I came to enjoy a cocktail during happy hour and the bartender was so accommodating and super friendly. I enjoyed a French 75 and I am excited to go back to see what's on their menu and try their dishes. The restaurant is extremely spacious and very cozy.

Sweet potato fries were my favorite! All the house made sauces were my second favorite! Great food and service. Disappointed that they ran out of bloody mary mix. But it happens! I'll go back for sure.

Short ribs, mashed potatoes and carrots.

Server, Emma, was wonderful. Checked on us but was not intrusive. Food was excellent! I had the short ribs and the deviled eggs appetizer.

Phenomenal food, great service, the scenery is beautiful. perfect spot for a date especially with the private back room.

Lighthouse is both a full seafood market and restaurant, giving you that fresh off the boat quality seafood cooked exactly how you like and served right to your table. I had the Blackened Grouper with broccoli and parsley red potatoes. The fish was seasoned and cooked perfectly, super juicy and incredibly fresh. The sides were just as good paired with the fish perfectly. I also had a tasty little side Caesar salad. The house Caesar dressing was great, lightly dressed so it didn't drown the romaine like some places do, and finished with grated parmesan and crunchy croutons. Overall, this was a great meal. The service was great, the food was excellent, and I would highly recommend checking them out.

My sister started with the clam chowder, which she thought was a little spicy but good. I had a small Caesars salad. For the entree my sister ordered one snow crab cluster which I know for a fact their market price was high, also they don't offer them in any kind of seasoning. Putting Old Bay on them just makes the shell spicy. I ordered the 15 reds, which are peel and eat shrimp. They were great, cooked perfectly. We ordered the hush puppies 3 count, now this was a problem because first they should never be that big and on the oily side to me. Problems I noticed, some of the wait staff is not that friendly also most of the staff serving food without gloves. A young man brought a bowl of food to a customer with his thumb on the rim, gross. This is my major complaint and take away that confirms I won't be back. There are two prices listed on the menu, one if you pay in cash and a higher price if you use a card. That is unacceptable, because some places will state that there will be a percentage up charge , not for every item. The place was somewhat busy when we arrived, but it was a constant flow of traffic, because they also have a seafood market inside to buy your own. I wasn't noisy at all when we went, not sure what it's like later in the evening. My personal takeaway is it's a nice enjoyable place for the locals, but if you're looking flavorful seafood, look further.

I had The Current bookmarked in Sanford and with it being only fifteen minutes away it was easy to get there. As I approached, I thought, "That's where it is?" I have passed the place many times but never knew it was there! It is a couter service place. Which mostly means a quick in and out. Plenty of seating inside and even some outside. I ordered my Blacken mahi sandwich with Old Bay fries and waited at a table for it to arrive. When it did, all I can say is, wow! Might of been the best blackened fish sandwich I have ever had, wow! The fries could have had a little more seaoning on them, but I was here for the fish and it ruled. Also, for a counter service place I had probably as many "how are you doing" checkins as I would have had with a table service place.

It's been years since I've had fried okra and this side dish did not disappoint! Hubby ordered the fried grouper sandwich and fries. Everything tasty! The food arrived quickly. I'm not 100% positive, but the food seemed to be made from scratch, i.e no pre-frozen items. We enjoyed our meal and can't wait to return. Parking is curbside.

Again no flavor and very giddy with tiny sherds of lobster. Mac and cheese tasted like microwave food. My husband had fried scallops and although it didn't have much flavor they were pretty good. We had a reservation, but they initially couldn't seem to find it, so I had to pull it up in the OpenTable app. Thankfully, even with that and how packed they were, we only waited about 10 minutes for our table. They bring out seasoned oyster crackers to start, which was a fun little touch and something different! For appetizers, we tried the firecracker shrimp and seafood fritters, and both were really good. The only surprise for me was that the fritters had some type of aioli with them, and I'm not a mayo fan, but I still enjoyed them. The entrées were very generous portions. I had the redfish and couldn't even finish it! We also tried the grilled rainbow trout, which was a great lighter/healthier option and still really flavorful. We both got the carrot cake for dessert, and it was so yummy and really unique! It had those more well-done/caramelized edges that I love. I just wanted more of that cream cheese frosting because it was delicious! Our server was really good, especially considering how busy she was. There were just a few times we ended up needing silverware, and between that and the little hiccup with the reservation, and difficulty finding parking, I'd put the overall experience at 4 stars.
