I see the hype with their square pizza. The dough is not to thick and tender and the sauces (both the normal marinara and the vodka sauce) is absolutely divine! Fort Lee pizza has been a place I've visited many times in my life. Back in the 80's it was my go to spot for pizza. I haven't been there for a while so I decided to give them another try. It was just as great as it always was. The crust is thin and crisp. The cheese just the right amount and the sauce tastes good. I got a couple of pies and both were delicious. The service is great with the pies ready when I got there and they even brought them out to my car. The people who I assume bought the place from the original owners were smart enough to not mess with the recipes because everything is just the way I remember it. Garlic knots- served room temperature and cold at the core, wish they warmed it up longer. Mild garlic taste. Fried calamari- so light and airy. Perfect amount of crispy and arrived to our table piping hot. Hawaiian pizza- ample amount of pineapple and ham. Delicious right out of the oven. Could use more cheese. Pepe's eggplant pizza- freshly breaded eggplants, motzarella, and sliced tomatoes. Eggplants are crispy, pizza sauce could use some seasoning. Five cheese pizza- motzarella, ricotta, parmigiana, fonita, and feta cheese. There were more motzarella cheese than any other varieties. What happened to Fort Lee Pizza?!? It used to be a very good pizza place. Just ordered a sausage pie, like I always used to, and the sausage was crumbled sausage, not the link sausage of the past. Sauce was sub-par. Dough was thicker than in the past. It's now a below-average pie, whereas before it was an above average pie. Before I even tasted the pizza, I already knew I wasn't coming back. The lady at the counter seemed annoyed or like she didn't really want to talk to me. Definitely didn't make me feel comfortable... and customer service is becoming more and more important to me. All of that to come home to a flavorless pizza...? I won't be back. Authentic, reasonably priced Italian classics. I've been coming here since I was a kid with my parents since it's an easy spot to pass by when heading home from the city. I also know of some celebrities that have been here recently, like Cardi B. This place has made some renovations the past decade but has kept that old school, local feel. They used to serve Italian ice, I hope they still do. Some of the best pizza around. I always get the cold antipasto and some garlic knots. Nice and big drink selection. Was craving Chicken Parm and they were the best place in the area and also the cheapest by a few bucks. Would definitely get food from here if its not too busy! Pasta dishes come with an option of 3-4 different pastas, super great service, got the angel hair. Was a huge meal portion for I think under 25$. Most pizza these days, even in NYC is not what it's supposed to be, so finding good,. actual pizza in NJ is rare. The garlic-knot sliders are interesting and novel, but the somewhat uncooked garlic isn't for me. The grandma pizza was good too: great texture to the dough. Their special pizza, which is full of ingredients is only $28.50 but be careful, they don't charge you how they price extra toppings in their menu. It reads $6.50 for first full topping and then $2 for each additional full topping so a three item pizza should be $28. However, they charge $37. $6.50 PER ingredient. We even questioned it and they confirmed that's correct so be careful. They're not pricing it the way they advertise it. Will be looking for a new pizza place for sure. read more

When I went in I added some slices to the order and they just redid the online purchase instead of creating two separate charges. Tried the veggie, plain slice, and Sicilian. All were good due to the excellent dough but the grandma pizza was the star of the show. The crust is light but flavorful, with the right amount of cheese and sauce. The in-laws wanted pizza for lunch and I happened to have this place bookmarked for their grandma pizzas. I placed an order through their website (for 10% off) for pickup and got Half Grandma Square pizza (with sausage), Half Grandpa Square pizza (with vodka sauce and mushrooms). The pie itself came out to $25, which is a pretty pricey pizza IMO. I think it was the toppings and making it half/half because according to the menu, a regular square pie is $17 so I may just do that next time and add my own toppings. But aside from the price, the pizza was amazing. Probably one of the better square pizzas I've had. The crust was thin but still chewy; I don't like crispy crusts. Actually, I don't really like crust in general but I would gladly eat a corner piece of this pie. Both of the sauces were great too. Could have probably used a bit more toppings for the price that we paid but it wasn't the worst. We also ordered some fried shrimp. I wasn't expecting it to be good, since it's a pizza place but we were all pleasantly surprised. I'm pretty sure they make it fresh and it's not one of those pre-cooked frozen shrimp. The shrimp were sizeable and they were butterflied, then deep fried. They were still crispy when we ate it 20 minutes after the fact.
