椒鹽魚片 / Salt and Pepper Fish Fillet

Stopped in for lunch while passing through, what a pleasant dining experience. A small eatery, with a handful of tables and booths. We were kindly greeted walking in and grabbed a booth by the front. The place was busy the afternoon of our visit. After enjoying the food, its no wonder why it was packed. Excellent Chinese food here, with friendly home style service. A traditional Chinese menu with a wide selection of options. After giving the menu a perusal, we started with the Crab Meat wontons, eight to an order they were very good and a nice beginning to an excellent meal. I went for the Salt & Pepper Fish spicy, what an exceptional meal. So light, fresh and tasty, tender fried fish in a light crunchy batter. I have had this dish at other restaurants and the preparation here is top notch. Some of the best I've had. My partner went for the Chicken and Snow peas, again it was an excellent meal. A hearty serving, with nicely prepared chicken pieces and fresh snow peas. She said it was great too. A nice relaxed lunch, with excellent food and a gracious and kind host. 4.5 Stars rounded up for the excellent Salt & Pepper Fish filets 01174

Found this on Yelp as we needed a pit stop for dinner before Moonstone Beach. What a great find. Small and cozy restaurant. Seems to be a local favorite. Chinese a la carte options but happy to see they had family dinner combos. We did the family DINNER C - which came to about $19 per person, and we did not expect it to be a feast. Fried prawns, egg rolls, hot & sour soup, Kung Pao squid, honey pecan shrimp, fried rice, salt & pepper shrimp, black pepper beef, salt & pepper pork chop, Mongolian beef, and sweet & sour fish. 12 items. Insane. Tastes just like a home cooked meal. The mom and daughter duo were amazing. They are so friendly and hospitable. Great service. Delicious food. Generous servings.

Lunch menu's 16. 蒙古雞片 / Mongolian Chicken (below) and 8. 宮爆雞丁 / Kung Pao Chicken (above)

Thanks to Yelp for leading me here. Good sized portions. I very much appreciate hot food which this was. Every good review I could give is given here including a great value and friendly, welcoming service. I bookmarked and will be back. I invite you to bookmark and go.

The serving was huge, I had just finished over 10 miles hiking thru the Pinnacles and I couldn't even finish the dish. The walnut shrimp was also really good, and I think I'm a good critic of it because it's a favorite of mine. Plus they made it super fast after I ordered it and for what you get the price is pretty low. Nothing fancy about the restaurant, but really great Chinese food.

Panda Express opened in Soledad recently and the food is abominable (check out my review on it for details). I was in the mood for Asian and this was the only other option. Parking is adequate and the storefront is small and easy to miss, but what comes out of that kitchen was simply delicious. I tried the orange shrimp and chicken fried rice. The waitress was young but absolutely wonderful. Feel like so many in the food industry could have taken notes from her genuine smile and helpful nature. Sadly I failed to get pictures but will definitely add that to the next visit. Really think they are perfect even for take out, seating is adequate but I suspect most enjoy them for fresh takeout. They are now on my radar! Thank you for the great experience.

I was working in Greenfield and was craving Chinese. This place seems to be the only option, lol!…read moreDefinitely hole in the wall vibe which i don't mind at all. After speaking with the lady there, I found out they've been at the same location for 20 years! Any food place that can last 20 years is doing something right. Now to the food! I did their 3 item combo with chow mein which was about 15 bucks after tax. I chose broccolli beef, salt and pepper chicken something (I forgot what they called it), and fried shrimp. Huge portion overall, my box weighed at least 2 pounds! Chow mein was above average with more flavor than panda express. Broccolli beef was average to above average. Fried shrimp was just as you would expect from a buffet. Not bad, not amazing. The real star to me was that salty, peppery, jalapeño chicken dish. That's the one that makes me wanna come back. This place isn't gonna blow you away, but the food is flavorful, and comes at a great value which really means a little more nowadays! Considering the cost, i'd recommend this place to satisfy your chinese food craving

Let me formally apologize as it appears I may have posted a review for Panda Express to this…read morerestaurant in error and gave them a 1-star review. I no longer see that review on my history so I am assuming that Yelp corrected that oversight as i referenced a drive thru that does not exist at this restaurant but does exist at Panda Express in Soledad. Having gotten that out of the way, now let me accurately review this location. Admittedly I have acquired take-out from this location on several occasions over the past 5 years. To be fair, the food was average and not really having anything so positive or so negative to say I never bothered to submit a review. But I will correct that now for better or worse. The location is in a shopping mall so parking options are generous. The restaurant itself is not opulent nor trashy but just simple and adequate. Seating options are okay though if they were more popular I think they would need to address a better layout for seating. Every interaction I have had with staff has always been pleasant. As I noted above the food is okay. And to be fare, if you check my Panda Express review I revised today to correct the mistake I made. They are heads and shoulders above Panda Express. Their Chow Mein tastes and looks like I would expect (unlike Panda). Their meatballs are okay and the other dishes average. I have tried most of what they offer and nothing was so off-putting that I need to provide details, while nothing so amazing that it warranted being called out. Simply stated, if you are not interested in cooking one night, they offer options that are decent; though if I were so inclined I feel I might cook those options better but they just save me the time. Not intended to sound or be critical. Just an honest opinion and hope it helps. Sorry again if my post intended for Panda Express caused any issues but I no longer can find that original review so hopefully this more accurately captures your restaurant.
