Didn't feel like cooking tonight so I had this restaurant on my bucket list to try. Luckily when I ordered, I asked if they sprinkle any sesame seeds on top, so many places do this for show and takes away from the way it should be prepared, luckily this restaurant does not do this. I picked up that this is a proper Cantonese restaurant because they had white pepper on the table not black pepper as well as the obligatory soy sauce also on the table, lol. I was also greeted by who I must assume was an owner about what else I needed, I did ask for chili oil in case the dish was not spicy enough. The Singapore noodles came out quickly and hot which was great. The noodles themselves were not as dry as I would have liked but many restaurants seem to serve it this style but the salt level was higher than I prefer. The customary julienned bell peppers were not part of the way they stir fried this dish. All and all this was a fine dish they cooked. The only thing I missed was the customary hot tea you are greeted with which they charge for. In the future I would definitely let the restaurant know to be a little less heavy handed with the salt or soy sauce, which shouldn't be used, to season this dish.

We've dined at Fortune Palace a handful of times for lunch. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is spacious and has beautiful red booths which lends an upscale appearance.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The waitstaff is friendly and check up on us regularly. The lunch menu has plenty to choose from. Dishes are very reasonably priced and have generous portions. I love that a small bowl of soup (the hot and sour soup is delicious) and an egg roll (veggie) comes with each lunch combo. On our most recent visit, we tried the eggplant with Szechuan sauce lunch combo and General chicken lunch combo. The eggplant dish was flavorful and wasn't oily. The General chicken had a great balance of sweetness and tanginess and still possessed that crispy crunch (as the chicken is deep-fried). And, the steamed rice was cooked nicely (not soggy or stuck together).

With the wind and allergy season raging outside, we sneaked out to have soup at the Palace. Our server, Maddie, was a jewel! Their Hot and Sour Soup is a remedy for a stuffy head. It is so richly flavored with fresh ingredients and lots of chicken. My wife opted for the Sizzling Rice Soup... so full of scallops, shrimp and veggies. A few potstickers were the perfect accompaniment to our soups! [[HIGHLIGHT]]This place is always so quiet, comfortable and always kept spotless too![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Mongolian Beef.

It was my first time there. The lady server was very friendly. She even gave me extra rice for it being my first time eating there. I ordered the Mongolian Beef. The food was delicious. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience there is very nice as well.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely recommend this place. Enjoy!

The staff were kind and efficient. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We had a group of 6 and were able to do the family style dining.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It was my first time there. The crispy beef was my favorite. The lemon chicken was also tasty. Just chicken breast in a thick lemon sauce. Mongolian beef spice level was non existent. The Szechuan chicken was plain as well. The hot and sour and sour soup was delicious.

A glass of Chardonnay while I wait...

Shocked I haven't reviewed before! I adore their crab cheese wontons and hot and sour soup! Tonight I tried the Devine Pama Martini, except for driving I'd have had another! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Typical Chinese restaurant decor and super friendly staff in a strip mall setting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Now that's a beautiful bar!

Fortune Palace is my favorite Chinese Food in Sparks. I am ordering a to go order for dinner. Egg Flower Soup, Special Chowmein, Egg fried rice and beef with broccoli. Thank you to Tan for always being so wonderful when I come in and order. If you come in and sit down, you will enjoy the beautiful piano music playing in the background and the authentic Chinese decor. A hidden gem in Sparks. Julie A

We don't go here often but should. The interior is very nice, inviting and always busy. Our order this time was for pick up. The quality of food is much better than some other Chinese restaurants down the road. Let me say as a family of five with a growing teen son, we ordered a normal amount. I almost fell off my chair when the total was read to me. I believe we spent about over $50 more than our regular place. That really disappointed me. Especially for Chinese. But the food was much better. So kudos. Rice didn't automatically come with a dinner. I didn't realize this until we opened the bags at home. The sweet and sour chicken was made with fluffy tender white chicken and wasn't soggy or over fried. The egg flower soup had lots of fresh flavor although the consistency was a bit gelatinous and thick and I would have preferred a thinner broth. The honey shrimp were big and fresh. No skimping there. The surprise of the night was the crispy beef. Great crispy flavor. My husband who doesn't typically order beef raved about it. Although I felt Fortune Palace was a fortune, it was worth it. I would feel better about the price by eating in the restaurant. It was way too much to spend for take out and no complimentary rice.

Really nice dining room. Dimly lit for date night or just for looking your best. The service was friendly and quick. The food was delicious and there were plenty of veggie options to choose from, vegan and vegetarian friendly. The portions are generous and the ingredients were fresh. I'll definitely come back.

It's so close to us in Sparks, we've driven by it literally *thousands* of times on the freeway not knowing the genuine ~treasure~ that lies within the unassuming hotel frontage. Bonus: DJ Trivia happens here on out date night Thursdays! Howeverrrr, we were here for the food & drinks. Absolutely captivating cocktails & a nice menu of pasta dishes, standard fare like burgers/sandwiches/salads, pizzas etc but also truly elevated dishes like premium steaks & seafood. Great selection of apps too! We loved the calamari (some of the best I've had outside of wharfside Monterey!) juicy sliders, a lovely little bread basket, and their beet salad & sausage stuffed mushrooms are perfection. Every cockatkl weve tried was delsih, and they just added some new ones to keep us on our toes. Stop the press! I just learned they have breakfast too! Makes sense being the onsite restaurant for a hotel. The ambiance is what hooked us! Think the sexy love-child of the Goonies & Pirates of the Caribbean. Its fun, kitchy and you'll spot something eclectic every time you come back. Kids menu, small plates, brekkies, late night menu...you name it, Gambi's has it on lock. Don't drive by wondering what's inside, when you don't need to pillage or pirate your way to this gem!

It was just a little unexpected.. I thought I had made a reservation at a very swanky kind of old time Italian restaurant that was gonna be very rustic with an old school like mob feel. You know some really authentic home cooking too.... Not so much. When we first arrived, I couldn't even find the front door and I think we went in the back door-which okay-, but it was like this really long, awkward walk to the front of the restaurant. Inside the decor was all over the place- and there was a ton of open space which made it feel the opposite of cozy. I was like somebody started decorating for Halloween, but it was June.. The waiter was nice enough, he did a pretty good job! I think he even made my kids laugh with some jokes. The food was fine. The appetizers were cold The chicken marsala was bland and and unimpressive. I feel terrible saying all this but full disclosure....We spent a lot of money and it was overall just kind of disappointing. It was a really nice big table, but there was almost too much room. I had to scoot all the way to the end of the booth seat to reach my food. I would say the definite star of the show was ordering the spaghetti mixed with the Alfredo. That dish was super tasty and worth getting again. My son who loves spaghetti and meatballs, was not a fan of their version. I mean, definitely not the worst place I've ever been, I would try it again if someone else was treating!

This was my first time to Legends Bay Oyster & Sushi bar. We had some guests from the Bay Area and…read morethey wanted sushi. Since Legends was offering an all you can eat option and a buy two sushi rolls for $12.99, we decided to give Legends a try. Everyone had a couple of sushi rolls and I decided to sample different nigiri sushi so I can gauge the freshness and quality. Salmon, if not fresh (or as fresh as can be in Reno) can be oily and fishy. This wasn't it. It can tell it was previously frozen due to the texture. As fresh texture has more resistance when biting down vs previously frozen tends to be softer, less bounce when biting. But it was good or even better than some other local sushi offerings. Tako or boiled octopus, is almost never fresh caught / cooked at any restaurant other than Japan. Even in the Bay Area, Tako is usually bought cooked but not frozen. This is where it can affect the quality. If frozen, it can make the tako kind of stringy and mushy. When it's not frozen the tako is firm and slightly chewy. I can tell this tako travelled a little but it wasn't frozen. Unagi or grilled eel, is almost always purchased cooked by most restaurants other than what I've had in Japan. Similar to tako, it is usually shipped refrigerated but not frozen. All restaurants will serve unagi over rice with a drizzle of unagi sauce. The flesh should be tender and any bones will be super thin and not a problem to eat. There weren't any bones which is a plus. This unagi didn't appear to be previously frozen. We also has the edamame, which is tossed in garlic and salt with some oil. Very tasty on a simple dish. If cigarette smoke bothers you, there wasn't any in the restaurant but apparent everywhere in the casino, so plan ahead. The tables were about 30% capacity and even with that, the order to service gap was fairly long. Our server was pleasant and willing to explain how the player's card program worked. Would I come back for sushi here? Sure, but I better be hungry to get full value from the all you can eat.
