Went when they first opened. It has a parking lot that is shared with the building. We went at night so it wasn't busy. This was pre-COVID so we were able to sit down and enjoy our drinks. I like the cup because you could scratch off and there was a fortune! It was a small place but if you're getting your drink it's just in and out. You order when you enter the door so I could see issues with people trying to maneuver going in and out and the line being in the way. Just have to be considerate of others. I liked my drink. The milk tea craze is never gonna die down here, is it? Not that I'm complaining, I could probably single handedly keep them all in business. Current body composition: 50% water, 49% boba, 1% muscle. We're tried the jasmine milk tea and the cool lime bomb that day. The milk tea was wonderfully fragrant with a strong tea taste just the way I like it. It wasn't overly sweet, so 75% sweetness was perfect for me. I wasn't a big fan of the lime drink. I usually like tangy drinks and even the cashier hyped up the sourness of it but sadly it didnt live up to the hype. Service is friendly and quick, even with all the people coming in from Asatos. The scratch off fortunes on the cup is a fun surprise. I'm still a fan of the jasmine milk tea and will stop here on days when I'm brave enough to walk past the crazy chronics. read more

My first time here! Located on the side of longs, fortune tea has street parking in the front. They have a tent set up outside for patrons to wait for their drinks. There was quite a bit on the menu, but what caught my eye was the brûlée (yes again with my brûlée addiction). I ordered the Thai milk tea brûlée since I usually try milk tea, but this time there was a Thai version! I was excited for it. There was only 1 person working the front and making the drinks in the back, so it did take a while for drinks to come out. My friend really liked his mango sago, he said you could barely taste the grapefruit. My boyfriend really liked the mochi cheese milk tea, he wants to go back for more. Unfortunately, I didn't like my brûlée Thai milk tea. It tasted sweet watery, not condensed like Thai tea is usually. It wasn't a good texture, way too watery. The brûlée, I assume was the pale yellow looking streaks on the side of the cup, but I barely tasted it. I would have forgotten this was "brulee" if it wasn't for the drink sticker on the side. This drink was not for me. However, since everyone else liked their drinks, I'm still willing to give this place another try. This has become my favorite boba tea place. Their boba is REALLY good. Soft. They have an azuki boba milk tea. I can't find this anywhere else. I love azuku, and it turns out to be a great combination with the boba at the bottom of my milk tea. They have a rewards card so you can rack up those purchases and get a free drink after you purchase 10 drinks. Turned on my friend (who is VERY picky) to this place and she loves them too. read more

I'm always searching for new boba places so I came here on a whim because I was craving boba after doing some grocery shopping. I like that they open at 10:00 am instead of the usual 11:00 am. I came right when they opened on a Saturday, so I was in luck since there was street parking available right in front. It's located near Pali Longs, but at the intersection of Pali Hwy/Fort St and Kukui St. It was pretty dead in the morning and I saw other reviews that you can park on the side of the street that's to the left of the building on Kukui St, but I think that only helps if you have another person with you so they can stay in the car and you can hop out or vice-versa. At the time I went, it was take-out only. They close off the seating so you can only order through a plexiglass window. I looked at their menu for awhile and couldn't decide what to get so I got their popular item... Oreo Cheese Milk Tea with Boba and a Cloudy Strawberry for my husband. I like how they have cute little scratch-off sayings or "fortunes" on their cups. It's so cute. The fortunes made me smile! The Oreo Cheese Milk Tea was really good! Definitely much different than what I usually order. It wasn't too sweet as the cheese part off-put the sweetness, but the combo made it work. My husband didn't care for his drink. It reminded him of a carbonated strawberry soda. I don't think he'd get it again as it had a weird after taste for him. I wanna come back and try their other drinks! I can't imagine how difficult the parking must be later in the day, so it's a good thing I try to go when they first open. Less crowded! read more

Fortune Tea is our go to and favorite spot so far for bubble tea. I'm pretty particular when it comes to bubble tea and Fortune Tea takes number one on our list. When looking for consistency we get the Mochi Soy Cream Tea and Oreo Cheese Tea. I change the sweetness level once in awhile and no complaints. I'm in love with the nutty flavor of kinako paired with the crema. Their cups have a cute scratch off where you get either a discount code or a fortune! Definitely recommend and will be coming again later tonight lol read more

YESSSS, a tea place that's literally right down the road for me. I was so excited for this place to open because it's literally less than a five minute walk for me. They also did a collaboration with the famous Asato Family sherberts and made a White Wabbit Milk Tea. I wasn't able to make it and had my friend get me some (They only had it for that one Sunday... please continue making it!!!!!). It was SOOO good. I would order that drink every day if I could lol. First time trying this place and I'm assuming because of Covid they closed off the seating area. You just go to the front door and order there. I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea with NO boba and my sister got the matcha milk tea WITH boba. The reason for the minus one star is because the drinks we got were crème brûlée WITH boba and her matcha milk tea with NO boba. She was pretty disappointed but it's fine. When we got there it wasn't busy we were the only ones there but after we ordered people started rolling in. I definitely want to come back to try the fruit tea. Came here half an hour before they closed after traversing the bleakness of post 5 PM downtown. They were out of boba which I think is the major criteria by which I rate boba shops, especially since low key I prefer most places' drinks without boba over with--but I ordered nonetheless. I stuck with the recommended drinks for my siblings and kind of ordered random toppings--I got the brown sugar milk tea, 75% sweetness with cheese toppings. I got my siblings a passionfruit orange tea (or something I like that?) with black tea and lychee jelly at 100% sweetness, as well as an oreo cheese milk tea with coffee jelly, 100% sweetness. There was a bit of a wait both to order and to get the drinks, but I enjoyed walking around the See Dai Doo building, which despite driving by nearly daily I've never seen up close. Regardless, I got my three drinks in a sturdy and nicely packaged bag. I only tried my drink which was solid, perfect as a drink in lieu of a dessert. The drink wasn't cloyingly sweet and had a terrific, deep brown-sugar flavor that was creamy, still sort of had the slightly bitter taste of tea, all of which was nicely balanced by the even creamier, foamy and slightly salty cheese. It went terrific together--usually I end up mixing the topping and tea together but I enjoyed this one a lot with the cheese at the top of each sip. There were sweet marshmellow-textured chunks in the cheese which was surprising but still pretty good. Solid choice, not sure if I'd walk the couple blocks past all the other options in downtown, but a great drink nonetheless. I hope to try the brown sugar boba one day soon. read more

Continuing my brown sugar milk tea adventure and decided to try out this place since I was in the Nuuanu area. This place is next to Asato Family, which I've been to numerous times, but had no idea this place was next door. I parked in the Safeway/Longs drug parking lot and just walked over. There's also some street parking, but I'm sure it can be pretty limited. The lot has a lot of parking, so I would just park there. When I got there, there was no one waiting. They have it set up where the register and whatnot are blocking the door and there's a plastic barrier with an opening. No seating inside. No worker was by the door so I rang the doorbell and someone came out to greet me. It was really hard to hear her because of the masks and the cars driving by on Pali Highway. I ordered their brown sugar milk tea with brown sugar boba. My drink was made quickly and it looked super good. I tasted it and holy moly, it was delicious. I saw someone's review that said it was similar to Hana Tea and I agree. The drink had a strong yet sweet brown sugar flavor that was balanced out with the slight bitterness of the tea. One of the best brown sugar milk teas I've ever had and I've tried about 10 places so far. The only small downside to the drink was the amount of boba they put in the drink. I personally don't like too much boba because I don't want to chew like 5 boba balls per sip. I actually left quite a bit of boba balls in the cup because I just didn't want to chew them anymore. But, besides that, the flavor of the drink was delicious and the consistency of the boba was great as well. The drink was about $4.70 which I think is a great deal. I think this place is VERY underrated. They only have 30 something reviews and they deserve as much hype as Hana Tea. I actually rather come here instead because it's not as busy as Hana Tea and it's a tad cheaper. I highly highly recommend this place and I will definitely be back again once I finish completing my brown sugar milk tea mission! 4.5 stars. I was excited to find this brand new tea shop downtown. I tried the azuki boba tea and the super fruit tea and got the guava refresher for my hubs. The guava refresher is sparkling water mixed with guava syrup. Simple and good. The super fruit tea was tasty with slices of fresh citrus and fresh lilikoi floating in the tea. I would come back for this. The azuki boba was slightly disappointing. The flavor of the milk tea was a little below average and there wasn't very much azuki or boba. The boba was also cooked too soft and was bland. I like it when they cook it firm and chewy with a little brown sugar. My favorite tea place, Share Tea, asks about sugar level and how much ice you want. Fortune Tea doesn't ask and packs your drinks with a lot of ice so it feels like you hardly get any tea. I'd pay to have less ice and more tea if they offered that option. Maybe I'll ask next time! read more

I'd say their 100% sweetness level is more on the sweeter side, or maybe my drink did not have enough ice to dilute the sweetness, therefore, my drink does taste a little too sweet. But maybe that is due to my taste buds, everybody has different preferences! In all, I'd definitely recommend trying this place out! I tried the passion mango tea, 50% sweetness, black tea and it was so refreshing! Even at 50%, it was still a great sweetness level for me. Overall it tasted more fruity than most passionfruit teas I've had from other boba places, which have a stronger tea flavor. It really depends on preference but it definitely tasted more like a juice than a tea which I actually enjoyed! My boyfriend got the brown sugar milk tea, 100% sweetness, regular boba and it was also good ~ it wasn't as sweet as hana but the boba was soft and chewy!
